Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

He followed after Minerva quickly, careful to make sure that he wasn't going to fall through yet another ceiling in the process.

Really though ... this had been a rather eventful couple of hours. Fell from space, hurt his side, made a human friend, met some of the Codes... kicked a cat. Now he was going for a ride. At this point, he was just wondering if there was going to be some kind of .. explosive showdown or something. That'd be fun, yeah?

In any case, the human in front of him was a rather interesting individual. Which meant he had some questions.

"So why isn't I didn't scare you like I scare most everyone else?"

He nods once more. He hoped the other Codes could handle this. His abilities were better suited for multiple enemies, though that's not to say one on one combat was something he lagged in, it's just that, even then his fights tended to get - destructive - for lack of a better word.

Sturs nods. "Trixx is it? Sounds fine to me."

He finished his breakfeast and headed upstairs to get dressed. He puts on a black wife beater, black jeans and his red converse. "It would be a shame to let such a beautiful day go to waste." He heads outside, locking up his house and heads toward the city.

Demi, stayed beside Shura, lowering her head and going back to remaining silent. She had no reason to speak now, If someone spoke to her she would remain silent.

Fureha nodded, "Since he will be playing tricks on people, Why not?" Her eyes moved over to Bether, still curious as to his opinion of the organ eating candy. "I dont think he likes it" Lips puckering into a pout she sighed hiding behined Sturs for a bit.

"Yes well, most people would not, Fureha. I imagine it will take him a decent amount more time to heal than it takes me," replied Sturs.

"Oooh, right" She gave a soft giggle before twirling around, setting Trixx down in the process. "Oops" Moving back Fureha peeked out at Bether giving her best smile, a childlike face as per the usual.

Forbidden Code Kali will be up right after this update and since you guys have been so awesome its a double release with Code Wrath joining the fray as well.
A small note about Kali though, she needs to be acquainted with Forbidden Code Asura in some way. Whether or not she's...

As Minerva struggled to climb out of the window she'd entered earlier, The Extrant behind her talked.

She paused and slid back down on the floor, and tucked a stray lock of hair behind an ear.

With a small smile she murmured, "You remind me of a brother I once had," She shrugged and shook her head and turned back to the window.

There was nothing to jump on like there was outside. She might have to find another exit.

Shura looked out the window. Waiting for her to proceed. What was she waiting for her? the drop didn't look too bad. It should be easy to jump down. Or maybe humans couldn't handle that much? That would be intriguing.

Demi moved silently, pressing past the girl only to drop out of the window. She wasnt in the best of moods at this moment, but she knew she probably shouldnt act this way. " just jump" Her voice was low and quiet, eyes glancing back up towards the window as she landed from the fall.

"Huh," he blinked. What a strange comment. "Thanks, I guess?"

In any case, it seemed like she was having issues with leaving the building. Then the quiet girl told her to jump ... Which seemed like it was exactly the problem she was having. He cleared his throat.

"I can carry you down when I jump, if you want? Promise not to drop you." Because that'd just be rude.

Minerva watched Demi slide out the window and felt a little embarrassed.

When she realised what the man behind her was offering, her heart sped up.

Was he going to do something to me?
She didn't really feel like he would, but from the moment she joined HDF, all she was told about was how dangerous and tricky these people were. But not wanting to humiliate herself anymore, she stepped back from the window and gave a small nod.

"Alright," she said, glancing around. "That would be practical." She stated, trying to cover up her difficulties.

Curse her long legs back absolute lack of agility and nerve.

"Well then, up you go!" He responded happily before scooping her up gingerly and hopping through the window.

On the way down, he was careful to keep from ruffling her, and more importantly her outfit too much; as they dropped a short ways to the pavement. When it was all said and done, he merely struck the ground with a soft *thud*, and then set the woman down, taking a polite step back to give her some space.

"Not gonna lie; you smell pretty nice." He commented casually, before looking around for those vehicle thingies she'd been talking about.

Minerva almost screamed as she was scooped up, but clamped her mouth shut with her hand. They sailed through the air and she felt almost... Giddy?

That landed softly on the ground and she was placed down. She grinned ear-to-ear, wishing she could've done that herself. She quickly composed herself and smoothed down her hair, which was sticking up slightly. She adjusted her glasses, and suppressed the strange joy she'd had at falling through the air, even for such a short time and in the arms of a stranger.

Minnie was taken aback with the comment on her sent. Her cheeks blazed and she raised her hand and sniffed lightly. She hadn't applied anything... What did she smell like? Why was he smelling her? Most importantly, why wasn't she creeped out?

She shook her head and cleared her throat.

"I instructed everyone to wait down the street," she gave a small smile. "We didn't need any lash outs."

With a gesture down the road, she waited for someone else to go first.

"Everyone?" He blinked.

"Never had a welcoming committee before, it's kinda neat. " He responded, before starting off that way.

Then the quiet guy asked him what code he was. Was honestly surprised someone hadn't asked sooner. "Extant's my name, or at least the one I remember. Call me whatever you want though, really don't mind." He chuckled.

"But, uh .. yeah, that question you asked.. I'm Cataclysm."

The other Codes walked ahead to where she'd pointed, and Minerva quietly followed behind.

She was absorbed in her own thoughts, not paying attention to the conversation around her. She thought about the things that had been drilled into her head since day one. She had expected the Codes to be more... Hostile, less human.

But here she was, walking with them to the van, talking like people, and saying human things.

But... Her superiors couldn't be wrong, that's why they were superiors; they knew what they were doing and what they were talking about... No, the Codes must be different beneath the act, right?

Suddenly, she wasn't so sure of her beliefs anymore.

"Before us, did you meet any other Codes? Whatever destroyed our home kinda scattered us I'm sure. I also doubt every last one of us survived it. I just wanted to know how many of us were left," he stated. Shura hoped he had, while he wouldn't say he was on good terms with every Code, which was unlikely, he didn't want them to be dead and at least hoped they were alright. "Also, have you heard the gossip? The humans think we blew up the Complex. How Absurd."

"Mm, nope. I woke up alone, and only found myself." He chuckled.

"That's a joke. Almost as funny as the Complex exploding. I mean they worked so hard to send us there, now it's gone and we're here." He paused. "But nah. Gossip is bad news. Not to mention one of us very well could have done it." He shrugged. "I mean, it's not like we're the most stable group."

He looked back at Minerva.

"Isn't that right Chief?"

Minerva's head snapped up at the mention of her title.

"Er- yes, it's only one of several theories around this explosion though," She ran through the other options in her head. "It's not clear yet what happened, but the HDF are working on it." She gave a rueful smile, "That's not my devision though, I'm not in the loop."

She sighed heavily. She had her own theories of course, but she would keep them to herself for now.

"I doubt it. It's stupid really," replied Shura, "We lived there. There was no guarantee we'd live through the crash. None of us actually want to die, right? So why would a Code blow up its own home. whether we liked it there or not." It just didn't make sense to him. He'd yet to meet a suicidal Code.

Her eyes closed for a moment, Listening to the conversations of those around her. She was interested but she had no opinion for the time being,

Error suddenly passed the other Codes. He was going really fast on his motorcycle and doing flips with it. He stopped, went back to them, revved his engine before roaring down the road once more.

Minerva found herself looking at each Code, examining them closely.

She didn't know what to think anymore. The vans had come into sight ahead, and even from here, Minnie could see Andy jump out and run towards them, followed by several other Tracker agents.

Minerva skirted around the Codes and walked quickly towards them.

Andy skidded to a halt just in front of her.

"Miner- Chief!" Andy said, "Stupid girl," he huffed.

Minerva shoved him in the chest at that, "Back to the van, Deputy, it's under control." She glared at him as her Tracker agents turned and walked away, taking Andy reluctantly with them.

She turned to the gathered Codes, "The biggest van back there," she jerked a thumb over her shoulder, "Is big enough for all of you,"

She glanced at her watch, "We'll take you to where we've set up base and..." She chewed the inside of her cheek. "Well, we'll see when we get there."

She stole a glance at Extant, mulling over a thought. "I recommend you all try and be civil, not everyone in this Task loves needed the Codes' help."

She paused for a beat, and smiled.

"We ready?"
