Fantasy The Books of Magic

"Interesting. I have The Book of Runes. It allows me to write down incantations for things that are manifested into reality."

Hana asked the circle: "Alright, everyone, how did you come by your books? I know my and Rowan's stories, but I don't know yours."

"I was an orphan who stumbled onto mine in an attic. a weird dream later i can read it easily and I've practiced it." Ryley says matter of factly.

Natsu turned to Zenocles and yelled "This man has been a jerk since he arrived."

Natsu turned to face Zenocles, h flew up and landed infront of Zenocles about 2 yards away from him. Natsu was already pissed of by Irocles and then some weirdo comes to defend him this made his rage sky rocket. Natsu let out a mighty roar and glared at Zenocles.

Zenocles felt somewhat awkward when the dragon-boy yelled at him, even more so when he landed directly in front of Zenocles. However, all of his training wasn't for naught. When the offender roared at him and continued on to glare at Zencoles, he merely raised an eyebrow, not intimidated in the least. "Look, whoever you are, I don't know that guy. However, jerk or not, everyone has the right to act the way they want to. You have the right to choose whether you want to associate with him or not. But, unless he agrees to fight you, you can't just attack him, yeah?" Zenocles said, trying to placate the obviously agitated dragon-boy. "By the way, if he's here and you're here... are there, by any chance, others here too?" he asked, curious to see if anyone else had mysteriously gotten here, and, more importantly, if they knew how they'd gotten here or why.

Alex was intrigued by the girl's story of how she had come into possession of her book, and she volunteered her story next. "I found mine while moving. I had gotten my own apartment and while unpacking my things, I recognized that it was an old sketch book that my father had bought for me when I was young. Obviously it wasn't just any book anymore and soon I was learning about all new things and capable of some extraordinary abilities I never knew of." she waved her book with a grin on her face.

"Well you weren't here for his rudeness. And of course there are others but ask yourself this do you think anything you got can pierce my dragon scales. " Natsu bellowed. Fire seemed to just start collecting in his mouth and he prepared a fire breath.

(OOC: Did your character get a full approval. I didn't see accepted under it but that was yesterday.)
(OOC: Nevermind, i saw it. Your character seemed just a little too much like Misogi Kumagawa but i found it.)

"Woah, there!" shouted Zenocles. "I don't really care how hard your dragon scales are. I don't want to fight you." he exclaimed, slowly shuffling to the side so he wasn't directly in the path of the dragon-boy's fiery breath. "What I do want to do is meet the others. Maybe they know a little more about what in the world is going on here, yeah?" He paused, staring intently at the boy, then continued. "I don't suppose you could point me in the right direction, could you? I mean, I'd ask you to just take me there, but I get the feeling... you're a bit too worked up for both of our goods." Zenocles stopped, hoping that the boy would see reason, tell him where the other inhabitant's of the island were, and let him leave peacefully, without setting the island ablaze.

Tom got up out of his chair and sighed. He would have to go back. So he teleported back, inside a bush. Messing with the leaves he finally got in perspective to see the boy. He acted like he knew everything. Gosh he hated know-it-alls and ignorant people. In what seemed to him a smart move he jumped out of the safety of the bushes to confront the boy. "Yes I can lead to the others, but first tell me about yourself," he said calmly as a extra ordinary map floating behind him changing constantly to seeming as if it where being told to find a certain place.

Zenocles looked over at the man who had just jumbed out of some bushes. "Oh, hello there!" he said, surprised by the man's sudden arrival. "My name is Zenocles. That's really all that's pertinent at the moment." Suddenly, he continued, "Ah, of course, there is the whole mystery of how I got here. See, I don't have a clue as to where here even is. So, I was wondering if any of the others, or perhaps you, could tell me what's going on." Zenocles swung his knapsack over his shoulder, removed his book, and then picked up his bag again. Holding up the now revealed book, he said, "I have a sneaking suspicious it had to do with this book since the last thing I remember before waking up on here is the book glowing brilliantly." Once again, he asked the man if he was willing to help. "So, what say we go meet the others, yeah? Very interesting map, by the way." he said in passing. Zenocles held up a hand for a handshake, hoping to signal a truce.

Natsu decided not to torch Zenocles and pointed down the hill to the circle of people. "If you had good enough eyesight for a human you'd notice they're actually at the base of this hill." Natsu explained. Natsu did however let out his fire breath into the air, it looked liked a round pillar of flames going upwards.

Grabbing his hand Tom smiled. "We'll thank you, it will be taking us to a very special place." The map then suddenly stop switching, as the two were teleported to the Southern Andes, all the while Tom never let go of his hand. Now at the mountains the boy let go of the other boys hand. "Now if you're as smart as you act like, maybe you will survive here." He then pulled out a chocolate bar and smiled eating it happily.

Zenocles looked around, his extensive geography lessons telling him he was in the Andes, most likely the southern portion. Turning to glare at the man, he said, "What in the bloody hell is going on here? You were supposed to take me to the others people on the island, not to a flippin' mountain range!" As he said this, he whipped out his book, muttering "All Fiction". Suddenly, the whole world turned white, until they were magically transported back to the island. With a heave, Zenocles crouched, very much out of breath. "Don't... make me... use that again... It is... very... hard to... use repeatedly." he wheezed out. Looking up at the teleporting man after regaining his breath a bit, he said, "Now, I'll ask you again. Where are the others? You don't have to take me there, just tell me where to go. That's it. Please, no more using our books against each other, yeah?"

Tom laughed as he grabbed the boy again teleporting this time to Mt. Everest. "You're not the boss of me." He then smirked at the man. "What makes you think you have any power over me anyway?"

(Sorry for short post)

Zenocles was enraged. "What the hell is wrong with you? Do you enjoy harassing others?" Despite his previous use, Zenocles decided to use his book once again. "All Fiction." Once more, they were back on the island. Hoever, this time, Zenocles wasn't having any of this annoying brat's antics. "You know what? I'm going to go find the others on my own." Holding up a hand, he continued, "And don't get any ideas about trying to teleport me. I've deduced that you need to touch me to teleport me, so I used Non Fiction to create a barrier around myself. Touch it, and you'll turn into oblivion, and that is not somewhere you can come back from." Then, Zenocles turned and began walking, not really caring if it was towards the others. Hopefully, he'd been able to hide that by using All Fiction three times and Non Fiction once, he was pretty much out of juice for the next half hour or so.

Natsu landed once more infront of Zenocles and said "Listen, if you're going to meet the others you have to lose this superiorty, arrogant attitude about you. This is how that other pissed me off. No matter how slight it may seem it's defintely there and i may turn you into charcoal for it." Once again flames could be seen inside his mouth, he figured if the Teleporting guy teleported him around then he must be bad as that other guy.

Zenocles stopped, feeling safe inside his barrier. "Look, you seem like a reasonable person. I'm not arrogant or superior at all, okay? I. Just. Want. To. Know. What. Is. Going. On. Seriously, I just wanted to talk to the others, like a normal person. I'm as lost as all of you. I don't know where you guys get off thinking I'm superior or arrogant when I haven't even used my powers against you." With that, he walked past the dragon boy. After a few feet, he stopped and added, "If anyone is superior, it's you two. I mean, Mr. Teleporter is going around teleporting people willy nilly, against their will might I add, and saying that no one is the boss of him. And you... you're over here threatening to turn me into ashes just because you don't like my temperament. People are all different, and sometimes, you have to get along with people you don't like. That's just the way of the world. I'm not being arrogant, it's just what I was taught growing up. Goodbye now." Zenocles continued walking, hoping that the two seemingly crazy people wouldn't instigate anything further.

"Heh, so if he's not like that other guy then what was Porter's problem with him?" Natsu asked to himself. Natsu flapped his wings and had a bird's eye view of the island instantly and landed back into his spot innthe circle. He said "Guys never draw conclusions too quickly." He guessed he drew his conclusion of Zerocles too fast.

Tom signed. Well that was a nice conclusion he drew there. He then followed the large cliff until it stopped and he ended up on the other side. He sat down and looked at the see, feeling like an idiot. Did he really just do that to that guy for no reason, what was wrong with him? He then picked up a rock and threw it in the ocean. He got up and saw that the ocean surrounded the island which was smaller than he thought, tiny to be exact. He then teleported to the top of the cliff and watched the circle, wanting to avoid contact with anybody.

Natsu decided he should go find that guy they assumed to much about. So he flew up once more and landed behind Zenocles on the other side of the island. He said "Look i'm sorry, i guese we had a big misunderstanding. I was already pissed off by that other guy. Then i saw Porter boy warp you around so i thought you were just as bad as that other guy. How about i make this right and give you a lift to the others?." Natsu was still in dragon form though.

Zenocles was baffled when the dragon-boy landed near him. He almost began to pull his book out, despite being weary from his previous uses and not even knowing if he had enough stamina to use the book, when the boy apologized. Heck, he even offered to give Zenocles a lift to the others! Not being one to hold a grudge, especially due to a misunderstanding, he agreed. "Don't worry about it. You seem like you just want to do the right thing, and I can't argue with that. Just make sure you listen a bit more next time, yeah?" he said with a smile. Then, waving his hand, he continued, "Anyway, let's let bygones be bygones. Like I said, my names Zenocles. It's nice to meet you. I would love a lift to the others." He finished and looked again at the boy, taking down his barrier and waiting to be taken to the others.

"My name is Natsu, hang oooonnn!" He said as he swept up Zenocles as rose at a diagonal angle to get a good view of the island. The way this would feel to Zenocles is like riding a roller coaser. He descended downward fast and steep but landed softly next to the circle formed by the others. "Thank you for riding the Natsu Wing Coaster, though we can recover clothing we can't recover lunch." he said in a voice similar to what you here from the coaster operators at Six Flags.

Alex was excited to see so many different people and so many different types of magic, this was still all kind of a shock to her, but she was excited that so many people were involved in this. "Is there any particular reason we are all here? I mean, meeting everyone is cool and we all have different magical abilities, but now what?" she figured that there had to be some bigger picture. "Clearly, we can all do more than the average person, so now that we know that others exist, what do we do now?" she was genuinely curious as to what their next move would be.

"I don't know form a club!" Natsu joked. He then looked up and notice Tom was looking all too sad. So he flapped his wings, flew up and landed right behind Tom. He said "Hey Porter why do you look like you've eaten a live butterfly?"
