Fantasy The Books of Magic

Seeing the clouds the slender boy, teleported to the other dragon, knowing if the dragons went high enough he wouldn't be able to breath. So he then grubbed on the horns and grimaced, waiting to teleport once he couldn't breath.

Alex began to fly haphazardly as she was suddenly interrupted by Tom's sudden appearance on her. "Damn it, Tom! C'mon!" she was half screaming and half laughing as she tried to speed toward Natsu. "You're going to get me killed up here! Party time as soon as I give this guy a run for his money." she sped up her flight speed some more.

Meanwhile, Hana shrugged and decided that it would probably be cool to horseplay around with magic like Alex and Natsu. While they were playing up in the sky, Hana quietly prepared her own offense. Given that both of them were playing the 'dragon' theme, she decided that her weapon would be water.

Now, when manipulating things magically, it tends to be a good idea to use a real law of physics as a springboard off of which to base your magic. It's easier that way. And Hana had just the thing: tides. The moon controlled the tides by its gravity, and so Hana would do the same thing.

She inscribed a tide spell on her arms (so that she could control it with her movement, an easy thing to track), and quietly cast a spell of flying.

The water followed her movement as she soared up over Alex and Natsu, and with a shoving motion, she splashed them with quite a lot of water.

Natsu canclled out the first fireball with one of his own. He flapped his wings and blew away the next. The last one he took but wasn't hurt. Then he saw Hana up to something crazy. He dived down diagonally to avoid the brunt of the tides. He curled up but got hit by by some water, knocking him into a rock or two. He sumoned his sprite dragon which shot it's lightning breath into the water. It would eletrocute anyone in the water.

Alex was suddenly noticed Hana had reached a height higher than her and Natsu, and then she saw the water. "You would!" she jeered as she dove quickly and tried to swirl underneath the water and get behind Hana. She had gotten a little wet and didn't notice her tail was still in the water until suddenly she was being violently shocked.

With a quick pained and surprised yell, she began to fall back to the ground. She managed to angle herself so that she avoided the trees and rolled about 25-30 yards before she came to a stop. "That hurt." she slowly pulled herself to her feet, releasing the dragon incantation and quickly using her samurai incantation. The offensive and defensive powers of this one were one of her favorites, as she was now completely covered in the samurai armor and as a weapon she was was now holding a naginata.

The boy saw the dragon falling and pulled out his book to teleport, but it was to late as the dragon landed the wet book was ripped to shreds. Suddenly the boy rolled over in pain, ignoring the dragon that almost speared him with one of it's spears. It felt like his heart hda been riped out. Tom then started crying holding what was left of his magic book.

Alex had completely forgot about Tom, as she had gotten too into the mindset of fun, but as she noticed him rolled over in pain and then saw his book and then saw him cry, she quickly released her spell and ran to his side. "Tom, oh my god, are you okay?" she knew it was a stupid question but she didn't know what else to do, "Your book...it can be repaired, right?" she knelt down by his side, feeling guilty about almost crushing him and now for getting his book ripped up.

Hana ran down there, quickly flipping through her book to find something that might aid Tom. She did find one rune. She wasn't quite sure that it was exactly what she wanted, but it was better than nothing.

She cast it, and it appeared to work, as the book slowly repaired itself, dried off, and flew back into Tom's hands. She didn't know why it did the last thing.

Tom cradled his book, although it was repaired he still felt the pain of it shocking his body. He rolled over on the ground, and the book seemed to respond. Independently a map flew out and flew around Tom comforting him. The boy then sat up and watched the map fly around happily. The map then flew around Tom, hiding back into the book. "Either it could always do that or the spell worked too well," Tom said having mostly recovered from his situation.

Alex walked over toward Natsu, sneakily, with an obvious look of deception on her face. "I know what you mean." She had remembered some of her incantations, and with that said she activated the Phoenix incantation, but not the full body transformation. She just needed the fire, and now that Natsu had landed it made him a much easier target. She pushed both her hands toward him as an inferno of Phoenix Fire shot from her hands towards Natsu. "Surprise attack!" she grinned mischievously. Whereas, if she hadn't eaten into her supply of stamina by using the full body transformation when she was a dragon, this fire would've been dangerous, but since she was almost already spent and would only be able to defend after this attack, she figured why not still play while they could. She knew from watching him earlier and fighting against him that he was very capable.

Hana observed the book. "I don't know which of those it was" she said. "We really need to learn more about these books."

Natsu took the flames straight in the scales. It burned and Natsu jumped back yelling "Ahhhhh, you sneak. Your going to get it now. He flew upwards and went at her in a dive. He sprayed his fire breath from side to side so she'd get burned if she tried to dodge his punch to her stomach.

Alex gasped. "Damn, this is not gonna feel good at all." she said as he came swooping toward her. She quickly used a strengthening incantation, and all her tattoos on her body lit up. She had greatly depleted her stamina and she knew that this was all she could manage, but the worst part was that she knew that this was going to hurt a lot more than she wished it would. 'The price to pay for my sneak attack' she smiled as she crossed her arms up high to protect her face.

The sea thing was done. Hana turned to another method of attack, the very basic Fireball. It wasn't much, but it was a quick-and-easy spell that allowed her time to create a magical barrier to protect herself.

Alex had misjudged his intended target, taking the punch to the stomach and being sent flying backwards across the sand, only stopping once she split a thin tree in half, bounced off the sand a few times and rolled about 25-yards. 'Yeah, definitely...not gonna do that again' she thought as she slowly sat up. "I'm out of this round!" she raised her hand over her head as she attempted to catch her breath. She never had the best stamina when it came to her incantations, which is why her attacks tended to be powerful. With two or three strikes she would exhaust herself and she knew that it was because she was use the full transformations rather than just the simplest forms, and clearly this was something she was going to have to work on.

Once the barrier was complete, Hana spiked it out towards Natsu and Alex. The thorns were blunt, but they would be noticiable.

Natsu stood admiring his work at flooring Alex for that sneak attack, But then he felt like he was being pucnh in many places at one. He saw the barrier thorns had hit him, he stumbled forward loose on his feet and flapped his wings to get off the ground but upper thorns hit him upward. He used the force though to get above them at the price of getting hit with more thorns.

Hana playfully smirked and asked Natsu: "Do you admit defeat, dragon boy?"

Magic powers were very fun to play with.

Natsu let the barbs push him higer and higher. He managed to get his foot on top of one and pushed off into the air. He flapped his wings and soared into the sky. He let out a fireball at Hana. Meanwhile his spirte dragon was worming it's way through Hana's defense preparing a blue lightning breath.
