Landon looked at her and smiled. "It's fine. I know what you were getting at." He assured her as he gently moved her brother and turned to face her. "I don't think that's true. She might not have planned on having you, but I can sense you mean the world to her. Look at all the things she's given you. Would a mother that didn't want her child do that?" He asked her with a smile. Ana smiled at him. "If you really want a dragon then we could go look at some after this." She told him not seeing a problem with that. Lena often had very gentle dragons she adopted out to the family.


Illya looked over at him and sighed. "Just the way it reflected me. It showed a women that had the same hair color as I did and eyes, but I could tell she wasn't me at all. Some of her features were different." She told him before moving on to the next structure. Maybe it had been a imagine of her blood mother. Dolly bounced over to Mason and pouted. "Aw, but I was being careful." She whined to him. "I found some cool rock thingy and just up a head is a small pool of warm pink water." She told him with a smile.


Adak gave a nod and sighed. "I see and it is Katie. She's the only girl that will come near me." He told her as he let out a sigh. "She helps me with paper work and cooks too." He told his mom wondering what she was thinking about all of this. Cale sighed walking down the steps. "I though I heard the kids home." He said smiling seeing Adak and Melinda.

Victoria smiled at him before nodding "i know but sometimes it bugs me.. she dosent tell me anything.."she said sighing"if things were such a threat back then it would have been cruel..if she just didnt come home one day "she said frowning lightly. Asher nodded lightly"im not sure what to get truthfully "he said sighing"what about a chicken theirs no way it can hurt anyone except maybe flopping someone'he said sighing.


Pride frowned lightly he gave a quiet sigh before shaking his head he almost ran into illya "sorry"he mumbled" relative maybe?"he asked blinking he gave a quiet sigh something made his stomach upset he looked like he was about to vomit"illya.."he said grabbing her arm he sighed lightly"im going to vomit.."he whispred, Mason sighed looking around nothing was striking him just yet he gave a quiet sigh before the hair stood up on his neck when he heard a whisper"dolly..did you hear that?"he asked suddenly grabbing her and squeezing her hand tightly.


Rowan smiled"well im glad someones helping you is she helping you clean that room yet? "she asked smiling at him she smiled seeing melinda walk over and hug cale"dont break him.."she said smiling, Melinda nodded"mom i wont "she said sighing before smiling at cale"..hey can we talk?"she asked sighing.

Landon sighed listening to her. "Maybe she was trying to do what she thought was best. Why don't you ask other people. Sometimes you get a better picture if you look at the world from other points of view." He told her knowing someone out there had the answers she wanted. Ana laughed as she drank her tea. "Chickens are actually really dangerous. I found that out when I went to a farm once with your father." She sighed remembering that day.


Illya frowned looking at Pride. "Do you need some water?" She asked pushing him to sit down as she pulled her bottle out of her bag. "Here just take a moment and relax. Okay?" She frowned looking around. "Pearl.." She called hoping maybe she could help her out. Dolly looked back at him and tilted her head. "Nope haven't heard a peep." She told him as she smiled at him. "You going to be alright there?" She asked him wondering if he was nervous. Blinking she realized Bren wasn't with the group any more. "Where did Bren go?"


Adak gave a nod. "Yes she is. It's not like it's that bad. I just have all the blankets every where and my clothing too." He sighed knowing he needed to learn to fold things and put them away. Cale chuckled as he hugged her back. "Sure, what do you want to talk about Melinda?" He asked walking toward the kitchen.

Pearl sighed lightly hearing her name being called"yeah"she said before seeing pride like he was she gave a quiet sigh"whats wrong?"she asked curioursly she gave a worried sigh, Pride frowned lightly"im fine"he said sighing looking at them"maybe we should all just get out of this stupid cave..id like to"he said frowning. Mason frowned"i dont know lets go look for him Bren?"he called hoping hed answer *were supposed to be studying but im to freaked out to..*he thought sighing.


Rowan giggled lightly"your silly..i got some..food..in the kitchen if you want some"she said smiling lightly she gave a werid sigh"so how will you deal with katie ?"she asked curioursly, Melinda sighed following him"how long would it take for me...to drop out of the school.. and leave town?"she asked curioursly *but what would he do..if i didnt go ?!*she wondred.

Illya gave a nod and sighed helping him up. "I think we should go back too." she sighed walking with him toward the exit. She sighed seeing Bren fixing his hair in one of the crystal's reflections by the exit. "I found him Mason. He's being really shallow and fixing his hair.." She grumbled a little mad they had worried about him when he was just messing around. Dolly gave a nod walking with him but sighed hearing Illya calling back to them Bren looked up and grinned. "I'm not being shallow. I just... don't like caves okay." He said with a very pointed look. "Beside I look really good in this reflection. I looked kind of funny in the last one. I've been seeing all sorts of weird things in these rocks. It's better then drinking!"


Adak looked at her and sighed. "I am not silly mother. And.. I think I'll just stick with getting to know her. She seems interested in me so maybe that's a start, though she does go back and forth when it comes to making me mad." He grumbled. Cale looked at her as he got them drinks. "Sounds like you are trying to run from something. If that something is really bad it'll just follow you in the end." He warned her with a sigh. "But to answer your question about a month, less if you don't do it right."

Pride looked pretty much drained he looked at bren"just come on already.."he said frowning"no one else can go until..we all leave"he grumbled lightly he gave a quiet sigh hearing mason growling about something *he gets grumpy when hes tired..*he thought sighing lightly, Pearl looked at bren "hey come on please..its almost lunch time anyway..and you and pride have to go get lunch i have a feeling if the big baby dosent get something in his stomach hell bwarf.. isnt that illya?"she asked smiling.


Rowan nodded before smiling"sounds like a great plan to me"she said smiling before laughing"..yeah she might always do that though..she might be like me and just not know when shes getting on other peoples nerves you know?"she asked. Melinda frowned"i am trying to run from something well someone but im afraid if i do..people might get hurt in the process"she said looking at him worriedly.

Bren sighed more then glad to get out of there. "Oh I'm more then happy to leave. This cave sucks the energy out of people. well more so drains their power levels. I sensed it when I first walked in so I didn't go much farther." He told them as he walked out. "I'm shocked that only a few of you were affected by it. Dolly doesn't even seem to have noticed and nether did Illya. Which we can take as a sign of how much raw untapped energy those two must have. It's hard to read you though Pearl." He said with a sigh hoping Mason was taking notes on what he was saying. "Lunch sounds great!" Illya laughed listening to Bren. "Yes Pride needs food and I'd rather not have him vomit on me."


Adak sighed listening to her. "That maybe the cause but I still get mad.. that's the problem. My tempter is something a little out of my hands at times. I try not to be grumpy or get mad, but it just happens." He grumbled angry with himself. Cale sighed listening. "I'm sure we can figure it out and get them to stop. However running will just make it worse." He warned her. "It might make the person more determined. Most people enjoy the chase." He told her.

Pride frowned lightly as he walked"ill be fine as long as i get some food.. " he said sighing lightly he looked at bren and pearl "pearls always been hard to read.."he said frowning lightly , Pearl gave a quiet sigh watching them "..well ypou twlo have fun me and illya will go get lunch ..hey dolly you want to come you can drag your boyfriend along to"she said smiling.


Rowan smiled lightly"of course thats just how you are everything will be alright though..if she stuck around after your first threat i dont think shes going anywere adak"she said smiling at him, Melinda frowned"im not sure dad..but..what if you guys could move would you ..i mean i remember ... mom always used to talk about that Christmas town you went to..when you were younger"she said smiling.

Bren gave a nod as he started to walked. "So what kind of food do you prefer?" He asked Pride as they walked. "I'm not picky, so I figured we could go somewhere you like." Plus he also wanted Pride to be on good terms when he questioned him about his friends and what he might know regarding Pearl's brother's death. Illya smiled at Pearl and sighed. "You think they will be okay alone together?" She asked seeing Dolly dragging Mason toward them. "Can I trust you with a secret. Pride doesn't want people to know, but I feel like our close friends and family should."


Adak was slightly relieved she had said that. "I hope that's true mom. She's not like other people and I.. enjoy her company." He admitted with a sigh and what could have been a slight smile. Cale sighed thinking about it for a moment. "I don't think we would. Sure vacationing places is fun, but this is home." He told her as he sat down.

Pride looked at bren"i perfer chinese.i can eat alot of it without..brawfing"he said sighing walking "so...illyas.. pregnant"he said slightly keeping more distancte suddenly he gave a quiet sigh "...you better act surprised ..if she tells you she might murder me..if she finds out i told you"he whispred silently. Pearl nodded"of course.."she said smiling curioursly"so...are you like...?"she asked looking at illya"i just mean your shirts have been larger recently"she said smiling.


Rowan arched her eyebrows"you going to bring her for dinner?"she asked smiling at him she gave a quiet happy sigh "im glad..you have someones company to enjoy"she said smiling. Melinda sighed lightly "yeah i guess..but what happens when you die..will it be home to her then ..and what about my little brother?"she asked frowning.

Bren sighed heading toward the Chinese place. "I kind of figured. I'm good at picking up on things." He told him as they walked. "So what are you going to do since she is pregnant with your child?" He asked wondering if he had thought about it. "It's a big deal in the hunter world and it's a even bigger deal regarding you." He sighed knowing well how things worked. Illya looked at Pearl and smiled. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's a girl too. I've tried telling Pride that we need to at least get married.. it'll be better that way.. he agreed but barely. He's so suck on his imagine and things being perfect.." She frowned wondering if he would ever come to his senses.


Adak gave a nod and sighed. "I might bring her for dinner. If she agrees to come then I will." He told his mother with a sigh. "What are you going to do if dad dies before you?" He'd been wondering it for sometime now. "I mean I doubt it will happen but have you ever thought about it?" Cale sighed not sure how to answer. "If she wants to stay here. If not, your mother and have willed the house to you kids. We thought it would be best to let you guys decide whom would have it." He told her with a sigh.

Pride frowned lightly "were going to get married" he said sighing "I don't really like the thought of everything not being perfect for her but...were just going to have get married" I don't see why its such a big deal regarding me.."he said not liking that at all "I'm so sick of it.." He grumbled.Pearl looked at illya "hea always been this way..remember how long he took to plan your party until everything was perfect. " she said laughing slightly "he dosent like anything..not perfect " she said frowning.


Rowan looked at Adak "I don't honestly know I guess..haven't thought about maybe drink some poison or something?" She asked frowning "but then that wouldn't be fair to your little brother " she said sighing. Melinda looked at her farther "I dontr want it.. Give it to Adak.." Bren gave a nod and sighed. "Illya doesn't care about perfect. You know it drives her crazy when you try to hard because you over look the one thing that matters. The time you spend with her. As long as you are there I know it'll be perfect in her mind." He tried to assure him. "I personally think that the hunter world is to old fashion about things. They have to many stupid rules and social expectation." He sighed walking into the Chinese place. Illya gave a nod and sighed. "I know, but he spent so much time on trying to make it perfect that he spent no time with me." She frowned knowing that's how it normally worked out. "So we are naming the baby Jade." She smiled placing on hand over her stomach.


Adak gave a nod and sighed. "Well if it makes you feel better, one of us will always be here for him if you do do that. However dad maybe sick a lot, but he seems to be doing a lot better then what the doctors expected him to be. So who know he's could have ten more years to look forward to." He told her with a sigh hoping it would cheer her up a little. Cale chuckled but sighed. "Then I'll beat him up and maybe get over it. Depends on how he treats you honestly and if you are happy." He told her as he sighed. "If he doesn't beat you up and you're happy then I'll have to suck it up wont I?"

Pride nodded"i know.. she dosent and i know it drives her crazy"he said sighing lightly "and yeah..my dad isnt the most old fashion guy thankfully.."he said sighing with relief about that "so hey were having this board game friday night we always do ..if youd like to come Illya im sure would love to see you there.."he said sighing lightly \Pride looked at bren "you or me?"he asked referring to the check . Pearl laughed lightly"i know illya "she said sighing"we will make sure he sets upo the wedding were its not perfect "she said giggling know how hard that would be for pride.


Rowan nodded lightly looking at adak"yes he might we never know"she said smiling at him she gave a quiet sigh "will you do me a favor and eat some of the cookies i made it would cheer me up"she said smiling at him , Melinda smiled" dad.. "she said smiling she gave a quiet sigh"..this guy has been bothering me..but he hasnt made any move to acutely threaten ..me other then he wants me to be his um pet..and io dont want mom to flip out you know how she is"she said sighing.

Bren gave a nod and smiled. "I'll go. Just to make her happy." He adored his sister and he loved the cute little way she smiled when she was super happy. "I got the bill. So I wanted to talk to you about something important. Actually two things. I was wondering if you knew anything about the group of hunters that have been trying to cleanse the hunter clans. They are killing off half breeds or any one that doesn't agree with them, goes against the norms, or even seems threatening. I'm sure they are the ones behind killing Pearl's brother. The second thing is regarding Dolly's sister. Some knew guy showed up in town. He's been stalking her, trying to make her his pet. He sounds like the sort of person you might know." He said with a sigh. "Anything you know is helpful and I'm willing to pay you for this information." Illya giggled and sighed. "He might explode trying to do that. I just want to have a wedding I can spend with him and not watching him freak out because there are still things that he needs to do and fix. It doesn't have to be big and fancy. Just a nice dress, the people I care about, and him." She sighed knowing that would still be hard for Pride.


Adak sighed looking at her. "Only if you turn into a wolf for me.." He told her looking a little embarrassed. He knew she probably already knew how much he liked her fur, but he hated admitting things like that. It just took him back to his childhood when she would curl around him and lick his head. It was weird things like that, that he actually fondly remembered. Cale gave a nod knowing she had a point about her mother. "Yeah I know and when it comes to things like that.. well running makes it worse. Guys like him like the chase and challenge. He might not leave you alone, but if you make things to easy or start stalking him it might confuse him and give you the upper hand from time to time." He told her with a sigh.

Pride looked like he was about to jump out of his skin when he asked about the second one he gave a sigh "keep your voice down " he said sighing "yeah I know about the second one.." He said sighing "that's Ulric.. He came in a day or so ago... He asked what plan I had I told him about my ring of torture and ..he asked about the fun in the town I may have mentioned that one duaghter of rowans.." He said sighing "though he might be involved in the other thin to " he said frowning .pearl giggled lightly know it would drive pride up the wall she sighed hearing mason complaining about No food yet "come on it's over here...'she said sighing.


Rowan smiled " of course I will Adak if you invite Katie"she said smiling at him she gavew a happy sigh before turning into a wolf *I wonder if Cale ever misses kimber when he's sick*she wondered. Melinda nodded "okay thanks I don't want to..worry mom ' she said frowning lightly " she's already worried enough about you as it is.."she said smiling lightly.

He sighed knowing that if what he had heard was true then more people then just her brother would die because of it. "Thanks for the info. What would you like in return. Money, info, I'm sure there is something." He told Pride with a grin. Illya giggled hearing Mason. "Come you." She told him as they got to the place. She smiled seeing Dolly excitedly looking around at stuff. "How do you keep up with her?" She asked Mason with a soft smile.


Adak hugged his mom and sighed. "Fine. I'll invite her." He told her as he smoothed her fur. "Dad keeps sending me paper work that doesn't make sense. I think he does it because I keep getting into trouble at school." He told his mother with a sigh. Cale gave a nod knowing she was right. "I know. Just give me a call or come see me if it gets worse." He told her with a smile.

Pride sighed lightly thinking "I'm honestly not sure.." He said sighing "I mean...I'm sure ..Ulric and all my other friends besides Pearl would know something ..though..that day Pearl got the penguin ..they said something..I'm pretty sure Pearl didn't hear .. But they said something about her brother.." He said frowning "some persons name to " he said sighing clearly trying to remember something "not really why would I cause I'm an ass?" He asked grumbling before scarfing down some food .Mason nodded lightly looking at her "I don't know how I keep up " he said smiling he gave a quiet sigh watching them "so what restaurant we going to?" He asked everyone before watching dolly.


Rowan smiled gently "good and yeah I think that's why he's doing that..though he could be doing it by accident " she said smiling "he used to do that alot.. " she said smiling at him. Bren looked at him and sighed. "No because your friends are asses. You not so much, them.. well they take it to a new level." He told him as he took a few notes. "Thanks though, for every thing you were able to tell me. And.. I was worried that you might be falling in with the wrong crowd. It's not a matter of you doing something.. it's more a matter of them blaming you or using you. I heard things when my grandfather's men took me. None of which were good. If I was you I'd stay close to my family and loved and I would be questioning any one else.." He sighed knowing something big was going to go down in the hunter world. Illya gave a nod and pointed. "It's a buffet. So it's all you can eat of whatever you want to eat. Oh.. Mason. I got you something. I remembered how Pride tore your school bag.. so. I took it and fixed it." She told him as she pulled it out of her own bag and smiled. "It took a few month because of how bad he tore it, but you can't even notice now." She told him with a warm smile.


Adak sighed thinking about it. "It's a bunch of college level math questions. I think it would be easier to answer questions with random information that doesn't quite go together then those stupid ones. Plus he sent me a graph and had a bunch of stupid statistic things wrote under it." He grumbled clearly confused by it all. Cale nodded as he walked over and hugged her. "Yeah he's in his room. And be careful. Remember what I said. Oh and Dolly says she is always ready to help." He told her so she would know she had people to rely on.

pride frowned lightly looking at him "yeah.. well thats always been something im good at...falling in with the wrong crowd"he said frowning lightly he gavce a quiet sigh "..me not so much compared to them ..."he said grinning lightly"well..thats a relief.. a slight one.."he said chuckling he gave a quiet sigh"so um i want to get this gift .. for illya.. but im not sure how to go about doing it without drawing attetion to myself..and as far as family..goes i guess your included inthat"he said grumbling. mason smiled"thanks illya.."he gave a quiet sigh "is he as bad as he seems ?"he asked chuckling "i get the feel that hes not .."


Rowan nodded lightly before giggling "..that he did on purporse.."she said laughing she tilted her head slightly"your farther can be rather mean at times"she said sighing lightly, Melinda nodded before walking up to his room"hey you in here?"she asked sighing looking around *i sure hope he wants to see me *she thought

Bren sighed watching him. "It's not hard to do being a pure blood hunter. There is a lot of pressure there to look a certain way, behave a certain way, and all that nonsense. I didn't like it when I lived with my grandfather and I can only imagine that any sane person wouldn't either." He told him as he ate. He looked at him a little surprised. "What is this gift? Is it like that wolf you got her once. That thing hates every one but her." He sighed not liking when she had it with her. Illya smiled at Mason. "No he's really not that bad. He just tries to make himself look big and bad cause he's afraid of being looked at as weak. I think he over looks things a lot and over thinks." She told Mason with a sigh. "He has a soft spot though."


Adak sighed figuring that had been the case. "Yeah he can be, but I guess he could be cruel and that would be worse." He sighed before looking at his mother. "I never said this much.. but I love you." He told her with a sigh. He wondered if she would have a heart attack hearing him say that.

Pride frowned lightly"yeah well careful it sounds like your calling me sane and we both know thats not true"he joked "and not really like that..just a baby crib..and a fake stuffed wolf pup to go in it..you know the whites..one ..in that one store.. "he said sighing lightly "she thinks its a girl and i just wanted to get her it without cuasing attention.". he said sighing"why so surprised ?"he asked blinking. Mason looked at her before smiling "well i guess i can understand hunter world afterall is rather rude"he said sighing looking at her"im sure hes afraid he might lose you" he said frowning lightly .


Rowan smiled at him "im glad .."she said hugging him"you dont know how much i was afraid of me becoming my mother"she said smiling at him she gave a quiet sigh "which reminds me were going to have a family cook out and BBQ if you want to bring katie"she said smiling.

Bren chuckled and gave a nod. "Awe look whose a softy. Alright I can help you. So where am I delivering this crib and stuff to?" He asked as he gave the waiter his card. "I was just a little taken back at this other side to you. Normally you make a habit of being the biggest ass you can be. Almost like you are in a contest with someone to see whom the worlds biggest ass can be." He told him jokingly. "So any names in mind for the baby?" He asked him wondering how well Pride was taking to the idea of being a father. Illya gave a nod. "I don't doubt that. The hunter world right now is a dark and cruel place even for hunters." She sighed as they sat down at a table.


Sitka ran out of his room and hugged Melinda. 'Hey sis." He told her with a big smile. "Did you come back just to see me?" He asked her with a cute little smile. He was totally different then his siblings. He knew he was cute and handsome and he used that knowledge. Adak gave a nod and sighed. "Grandma can't be that bad. I mean she is annoying, but she's okay." He sighed looking at his mom. "I don't think you are like her though." He told her with a sigh. "I'll ask her if she wants to come."

Pride looked at bren before sighing "im not sure has to be a place no one would except..my stuff to be..and itd look bad if you put it at pearls base.."he said sighing lightly "well..yeah..i dont want anyone looking at me like im weak..they might try and take illya..away"he said frowning lightly he gave a quiet sigh"..you..know that wasnt right..i mean..the pictures..and"he stopped before looking away slightly "oh Jade Gracy.... i believe.."he said smiling about it. Mason nodded lightly "so...is it true..pride has a snake always in his pockets?"he asked curioursly looking at illya "..i mean you are the one who got him the snake"he said sighing figuring shed know.


Melinda grinned"hey and of course i did why wouldnt i?"she asked smiling at him she gave a quiet sigh "i might not be able to come as visit as often as id like though"she said smiling gently . Rowan frowned"..my mom..wasnt the best mother..when it came to two kids..she kinda left my brother in the wind..and i dont want that for any of you..i want to be the best mother i can be"she said smiling gently .

Bren gave a nod and sighed. "How about I have it at my parents' place? I'm sure my father wouldn't mind." He told him with a sigh. "Even if someone did try to take her, you'd be stronger with good friends to back you. Real strength doesn't come from what you do alone, but when you realize you can't do every thing alone." He told him with a sigh. "That's cute. So you excited about becoming a father? I think I would be a wreck." He chuckled knowing how big a deal having a child was. Illya smiled remembering when she got him the snake. "Yep. He's very fond of his snake and I think it's very cute. He got me a wolf once. I don't often bring my wolf out because I don't want to cause trouble, but he is very dear to me." She sighed wondering how her wolf friend was doing.


Sitka smiled as he pulled her into his room. "So is the games everything you thought it would be?" He asked her curious about the things she was doing. "Mom says I'm never leaving her." He sighed but smiled. Adak gave a nod and sighed. "Is that why Uncle Caliborn is so indifferent toward grandmother?" He asked thinking it was a shame for things to have been like that.
