Landon smiled at Victoria. "Sounds like something someone very wise would say. I stay in that form because it draws less attention to me. It's safer in some way. Also I don't have any humans around me either. So It's not like I need to be in this form very much." He told her as they walked. "Do you like foxes?"


Ana smacked Shadow lightly on the head. "Oh hush you." She told him but smiled a little before messaging Dark. "Hopefully he'll come knowing I'll beat butts if anyone tries any thing." She sighed watching them. "Yes you may have some cookies." She told Asher with a smile. Vera was sitting on the couch with her arms crossed pouting.

Victoria blushed lightly"my aunt got me one for my birthday when i was younger..slept in my room and such..until..an accident happened and my room cuaght on fire .."she said sighing frowning hoping he could piece it togther " i loved that fox..im assuming he died"she said frowning lightly"he was the only friend i had back then"she said frowning"so yes i love foxes"she said blushing.


Shadow looked at vera"forgive me?"he asked looking at her he gave a quiet sigh seeing asher munching on some cookies, Asher looked at vera before frowning"it was better to put dad out of his misery....you do realize what would have happened if mom was lied to more right?"he asked Shadow sighed looking at ana"so is he coming ?"he asked curioursly.

Landon watched her then sighed. "I see. That's cute.. the way you just blushed." He told her with a smile. "I love people. Seems like we make a great pair. I live out here so I don't see many people and when I do not many of them talk to me like you did." He told her smiling glad that she had.


Vera pouted at him and looked away. "Why should I? I'm in more trouble then you and Asher." She grumbled leaning back into the couch. "Yeah well you put me out too you little weasel." She told him with a glare. "You could have at least defended me." She told him as she tossed the couch pillow at him. Ana looked at Shadow and sighed. 'Yeah he is.." She sighed hoping nothing went wrong.


Bren yawned as he woke up and grabbed his phone. Smiling seeing Pearl still a sleep, he gently moved her so he could get up. Calling Pride he leaned against the wall watching Pearl. She was so cute like that, he thought as he waited for a answer from the other end.

Victoria smiled lightly watching him "thanks i guess .."she said smiling "oh really im surpurised so where are we any way?"she asked curioursly"ive never been here before"she said watching everything"seems ..almost like someone sucked the soul..out of it i mean its pretty and all..but"she frowned lightly .


Shadow sighed looking at asher and vera"knock it off...no tossing the couch cushions..you know better ..right ?"he asked frowning he gave a quiet sigh knowing must of he sounded , Asher sighed before dissapering into the kitchen and hiding under the table incase things got rocky *defended you what for?*he thought sighing lightly.


Pride grumbled"anyone..who..calls this early in the morning has to be bren .."he mumbled before answering"..Yeah bren ?"he asked still in a sleepy voice he gave a quiet sigh "..what ...do you need..?"he asked still somewhat half asleep anyone could tell it by the way he was talking.

Landon sighed looking around. "It's a newer part of the forest. It's just grown up from little tree over the last few years and no one has ventured here yet. I think it's beautiful because of how untouched it is. Raw nature." He told her looking around at all the plants and animals. "If you look closer it has a lot more going on then you would have first imagined."


Vera glared at her father. "You have no room to speak." She told him as she rolled off the couch and until the floor where she laid face down grumbling to herself. Ana shook her head watching them. "Really Shadow? A pillow and you yell at her.. but fireworks?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow. "She has a right to be mad at you and Asher. You both kind of left her hanging to take all the blame and I know I've done said it enough around here. Having each others back is something I value a lot." She told him, loud enough for Asher to hear too, before going to finish the pie she had started to bake. She hoped Dark got there soon.


Bren sighed hearing him answer. "We need to talk. Meet me at the cafe down the street from the school around noon." He told him knowing he wasn't awake enough to argue with him. He could hear Illya in the back ground grumbling as she started to wake up. "Pride?" Illya mumbled rubbing her eyes as she sat up and looked at him.

Victoria noddeD"okay then show me show me whats going on in this part glowing mushrooms?"she asked curioursly"ants?"she asked blinking"any owls ..or any animals plants?"she asked curioursly she gave a quiet worried sigh.


Shadow sighed"well a pillow if it hits the lamp could cause a fire..and yesz i know.. "he said sighing lightly he frownbed slightly as if he knew all to well ana was right like every other time he sighed some looking at ana he could hear dark on the steps he frowned lightly, Dark frowned lightly before walking in he looked at all of them 'apologys now "he growled.


Pride grumbled looking at illya"yeah sure fine bren.."he said frowning lightly "yeah illya?"he asked hanging up"you want bacl rub because i do"he said smiling lightly he gave a werid quiet sigh , Pearl looked at bren and smiled"hey are you coming back?"she asked patting the bed she gave a quiet sigh looking at him

Landon smiled at her and pointed to a bush. "Look closely." He told her knowing if she did she would she the deer with her young. "Things like that are every where here. You just have to look a little closer." He told her with a soft smile. "Listen too and you'll hear the birds in the tree tops singing."


Ana gave him a look. "A firework could have blown someones hand off or even Dark's butt.. " She pointed out to him. "I know you are thinking I right and that I'm always right, but just because I'm right about this and have been right about other things doesn't mean I'm always right. It just means you have a very bad habit of getting into trouble." She told him as she leaned into him and kissed him. Vera looked up from the floor at Dark. "I'm sorry you butt was asking for it." She told him with a huff. "Maybe if you wouldn't be such a baby and actually paid attention I would need to do things like that." She told him as she rolled under the couch.


Illya smiled shaking her head at him as she inched over to him and started to rub his back a little. "Who was that?" She asked curious who would be calling this early, though she could only guess of a few people. Bren smiled hanging up and walking over to the bed. "Yep." He told her as he snuggled back down with her. "You look beautiful when you are sleeping so peacefully." He told her.

Victoria smiled"wow..thats.. is really cool"she said her smiled gentle somewhat she gave a quiet sigh "they all have a different song dont they?"


she asked looking at him "okay so Landon..or Fox.. do you ever go to town?"she asked curioursly"if not would you like to come to my house for dinner tonight ?"she asked smiling.


Dark looked at vera before grabbing her feet and dragging her back out"oh no you dont....now why would you want me to pay attetion..im just a big baby remember ?"he asked looking at her before hearing asher voice saying sorry and shadows though it was hoarse and could barely be heard but who would except anything else from shadow.


Pride smiled lightly"oh it was your brother were going for lunch togther wait?!"he said in a slight panicy voice he frowned lightly "to late to cancel"he said sighing lightly "can i tell you the truth about something ?"he asked sighing lightly "if you dont stop..we might not make it out of here"he said in a teasing voice. pearl sighed"thanks "she said smiling she sighed lightly looking at bren"did you make a date with pride?"she teased lightly before kissing bren "..so.. is there anything you want to do before you go ?"she asked looking at him.

Landon looked at her and smiled. "They do all have a different song. Much like people." He smiled watching her. "No.. I don't really venture there. I once lived with people and it didn't end well. My first home was cruel and I don't remember much from my second home." He told her with a sigh. "I would like that if it wouldn't be intruding."


Vera bit his hand. "Let go off me." She growled at him. "Maybe it's cause you're a part of this family too. Your my brother whether you like it or not and you should be around more but you're always hiding in your stupid house afraid of every thing. So I gave you something to be afraid of." She told him as she kicked and squirmed.


Illya laughed a little seeing what Bren had done. "He can be sly at times." She sighed shaking her head. "Of course you can." She told him watching curiously to see if she could get a hint of what he might be thinking. "Oh we got plenty of time." She winked at him before warping her arms around his waist. Bren chuckled at her comment. 'More like I tricked him." He laughed knowing Pride would be complaining about it later. "Oh I want to do a lot of things before we leave, but I don't think you would approve." He wiggled his eyebrows at her as he leaned over her a little.

Victoria smiled"you wont be im sure..my family would like it..though ill get picked on because i brought a boy..home but what the heck"she gave a quiet sigh looking at him "ah i see well we will go into town one day..,and enjoy the day ill show you my faveriotre places to go"she said smiling before giving a happy sigh watching everything.


Dark growled"thats enough !"he yelled looking at her "and you think thats going to help me?"he asked frowning"giving me something to be afraid of when im already afraid of something?"he asked looking at her"do you realize ..if you would have put it in the wrong place..i wouldnt be here anymore?"he asked looking at her"look ill come around more often..if no more..fireworks"he said eyeing her.


Pride looked at her "i dont detest ..your brother.."he said hiding his face in the covers so it could barely be heard he sighed lightly "we dont have that much time "he said sighing lightly before frowning "oh stop it.. you..you know what your doing and thats not right"he grumbled lightly. pearl looked at him"and you think i would dissaporve?"she asked looking at him curioursly.

Landon smiled hearing that. "I'm sure they wont pick on you that much. Beside I hear when families do that it's because they care about each other." He told her. "I'd love to go into town with you and see what you see and like." He smiled imagining what it must be like there. He had often thought it would be loud and ugly, but maybe he was wrong.


Vera glared at him. "Maybe it will help you. You're here aren't you and you aren't acting like a coward either." She pointed out with her flawed reasoning. "You'd be here, just badly hurt. It wasn't that dangerous. I'm not stupid. It would have at worst burnt your butt or blown a small hole in it." She mumbled with a sigh showing she had really put a lot of thought into what she did. "I'll only promise no more if I can actually believe you." She told him not sure if she could trust him. It wasn't the first time someone had told her something just to get her to do something and then not go through with their end of it.


Illya laughed a little and sighed. "I already knew that. Bren is a hard person to dislike." she sighed resting her head on his back. "Maybe so but you are guilty of doing it too." she told him as she let go and got up. "I'm going to head out then.. I'll see you later." She told him with a soft smile. Bren smirked down at her as he leaned down and kissed her soft lips. "Yes" He told her with a sigh. "Because if I start now I might get carried away." He told her with a sigh. "It's hard to just have a little of you. I want the whole thing." He smiled.

Victoria nodded lightly "yes they do it because they care but still..it annoys me and it annoys me seeing kip kissing my mom the way he does i swear he acts like hes going to swallow her"she said sighing lightly "and some of the town smells really bad but other parts of it is super pretty"she said smiling.


Dark growled"thats no reason for it..and yes i will come over more often but no more Vera i mean it and if it happens again i wont even show up for parties"he said eyeing her "or your guys birthday party which means no gifts..and we both know..i get you some of the better gifts"he said staring her down.


Pride grumbled lightly looking at her he gave a quiet sigh "awe come on your leaving me hey you better becareful.."he said before getting up and kssing her"come on lets both head out..i mgith get a call from ulric or he just might show up"he said frowning . Pearl looked at him before blushing"so what you just want to wait?"she asked curioursly she gave a quiet sigh"oh yeah you want all of me to bad not yet"she said sticking her tounge out.

Landon smiled listening to her telling him about it all. "Aw, sounds like they just love each other." He told her wondering what she would say to that. "So where do you live at? I've seen you around before, so it must not be that far away." He sighed wondering why any one would chose this part of the forest to live in.


Vera looked at him with a narrowed look. "You are just making me madder. You think I care about presents? You could waste big money on me and it still would not accurately show to which extent you care. I care about more practical things.. like time." She told him trying to drive home the point of how little he knew his own family. "You are silly and childish if you think your attendance at a party makes you a good brother or the gifts you bring. How about memories dude. You never take us any where and you never come over here unless mom makes you." Ana looked at Dark and sighed. "She does have a point. You've been all over the place for years. You only do things with people if they threaten you or make you." She told him gently. "Maybe it's time you start trying to.. have fun.." She offered.


Illya smiled kissing him back. "Okay we can leave together. However if he does show up I might stab him. I don't like your friends and for good reasons. They aren't good people.." She sighed walking next to him. "I'll be careful too. You know I always am." Bren smiled at her and sighed. "Oh I don't want to wait, but you'll make me wait." He told her as he kissed her neck. "We should get going before we are late. I did say I would go back to class."

Victoria nodded "up here.."she said sighing lightly"and they do ...they have two kids togther"she said frowning "the dude is alright..but still "she said sighing lightly "im not totally sure about what to think about all of this "it kinda happened really fast between mom and him he proposed to my mom the day on my birthday "she said sighing lightly.


Dark looked at his mother before sighing "you guys dont give me enough credit i have went places on my own terms"he said frowning lightly before standing up"fine wont get you no presents then.. "he said before standing up"personally i hate memories but thats just me.."he said frowning"look i told you id come around more.."he said frowning "im tired of you all pushing me to come out of my freaking house the more you do the more i want to stay in there"he growled.


Pride frowned lightly"yes i know..and do you not want me to have anyfriends?"he asked frowning he sighed"..and i know thats not what you waznt for me and yes i know i need better friends but half the people around here is"he sighed lightly before hugging illya"i just..dont want to do the wrong thing and get us hurt"he said sighing. pearl smiled at him "oh good "she said smiling"i got to change so if you want to go you can"she said with a mischevious glint in her eyes

Landon gave a nod seeing how she could be unsure about all of this. She must not have had the time to really adjust or at the least never really understood how to adjust. "Do you love your siblings?" He asked her wondering if there was at least a small thing she loved about her family.


Ana sighed looking at him. "It's hard to give you credit when you are grumpy all the time and we wouldn't bother you so much about it but your children and wife worry and well.. they come to us about it. Maybe you should talk with them about how you feel to and maybe ask them how they feel." She told him with a motherly look. Vera looked at him and sighed. "See just because you didn't like something you tried to force what you preferred more on us. Isn't that similar to what we do? I don't believe any one is truly innocent." She told him as she tried to roll away from him. "Take me to the zoo tomorrow and I'll believe you. I want to climb into the lion cage and see if it'll let me pet it." She told him. Animals hated her much like they did her father, but she still tried to force her love on them.


Illya looked at him and sighed. "Pride it's not that.. your friends are a danger to me and to our child. I'm afraid the more you are with them and plot with them the greater the chance that someone you care about might get hurt." She told him hoping he would understand. "You can be great without them and with out proving anything to them. You don't have to fit into a mold, but become someone that is respected. People think twice about crossing a well respected person." She told him as they walked. "And.. we should get married soon. For our child's sake." She told him. Bren smiled as he sat up. "I'll wait for you. We will be heading the same way any how."

Victoria sighed "well sometimes yes..Im just not sure..honestly I try to but its just so weird.. You'll understand when we get here..." She said seeing they were here she frowned slightly seeing kip on the porch "that's kip moms husband " she said frowning.


Dark frowned lightly "take you to the zoo ..ugh sure..but your not ..doing...the lion thing and stop rolling under the couch " he said frowning . Otter snapped and got uop from were she was hiding"oh hush up please all your growling and scowling .. "She said frowning she gave a quick frown watching everyone before shaking her head *everyone's so loud..*she thought frowning.


Pride frowned looking at her"illya..its not just that..its just everyone else seems afraid of me.."he said frowning "and I understand your concerned .. But...I can't just walk away...from them I don t..want " he sighed lightly looking at illya "come on let's just go.." He said sighing . Pearl nodded lightly "well alright.. " she said smiling at him"so go wait somewhere .."she said sticking her toune out .

Landon gave a nod as he followed her. "He doesn't look so bad. He must care for you a lot though." He told her getting that sense from the man standing on the porch. Molly walked out and smiled at Victoria. "You made a friend! He's handsome too." She smiled hoping the young man would be staying for dinner.


Ana sighed looking over at Otter. "Otter, love, could you go check on the pie? I'll make sure you get the biggest piece if you do." She smiled at her knowing how much the noise must be bothering her. Vera looked at him and sighed. "Okay fine, but I want to feed something there at least. Or touch one of the animals. Uncle Avery's stupid horse bites me every time I try to touch her." she grumbled not understanding what animals had against her. "I will never stop rolling. It is my thing and every one has a thing. Your thing is being grumpy and dad's is saying or doing the wrong thing at the wrong time." She giggled.


Illya looked at him and sighed not saying any thing more. He wasn't ready to listen and she wouldn't force her opinion on him. "You didn't say anything about the marriage thing. I wouldn't rush it.. but when people do find out about the baby they might not accept her as a legitimate heir to your family unless we are married before she is born.' She sighed only wanting the best for their growing family. Bren smiled as he stepped outside her room and waited. "You know if the school thing goes well I might take up baseball again.." He admitted knowing how much he missed it.

Victoria rolled her eyes lightly"and thats my mother"she said quietly she gave a quiet sigh looking at him she wondred how he handled her mother coming out and greeting him"and hes not that bad..its just"she sighed stopping not wanting to cause a fight about anything "hes a fox"she said looking at her mother suddenly"his names Landon.."she said smiling.


Otter nodded lightly "sure"she said before sighing and getting the pie out *its done..*she thought sighing happily she looked at them "noisy bunch "she mumbled, Dark sighed lightly before standing up"if i stay do i get some of that pie?"he asked looking at his mother *i sure hope so..*he thought sighing lightly.


Pride frowned lightly"sure well get married"he said sighing "i just wanted to do it on our own time..so everything could be perfect..but anything for the baby "he said looking at illya he tilted his head lightly as he was walking "..you think bren will be back at school?"he asked, Pearl looked at him before sighing "fun baseball it was always fun..i guess ..Cheerleading was more of my thing"she said sighing lightly.

Landon smiled at Molly and gave her a polite nod. "Your mother seems nice." He told her with a sigh wondering what else would be said. Molly looked at Victoria and blinked for a moment before smiling. "Well as long as he's your friend I don't care what else he is or isn't." She told her with a smile.


Ana smiled and laughed a little. "Yes Dark you can have some pie too." she told him with a happy sigh as she walked into the kitchen to dish some up for every one. She smiled giving Otter a bigger piece then the others. "Since you don't cause as much trouble as that noisy bunch." She told her in a slightly joking way. She laid the other plates out for the others to grab as they liked.


Illya looked at Pride and smiled. "Every thing is already wonderful Pride. It doesn't have to be perfected." she told him touching his cheek. He always reached high and that wasn't bad, but sometimes she wished he would be happy with simple things too. "He might if Pearl managed to talk sense into him." She sighed hoping she had. Bren gave a nod listening to her. "You can cheer for me as long as you wear one of those cute little skirts." He told her teasingly.

Victoria frowned"i never said you did i was just letting you know what he was.."she said frowning before sighing and grabbing his hand before walking inside"come on ill show you around okay?"she asked. Melinda sighed as she woke up *surely hes not still watching..*she thought worriedly she rolled around slightly on her bed before sitting up and getting her clothes and starting to change *..okay school first worry about everything else later...*she thought.


Otter nodded watching everyone"you all only stay here because of here pie"She said sighing eating the pie she frowned lightly after eating the pie she got up and went to her part of the house, Dark frowned lightly he gave a quiet sigh watching everyone"can i take a slice to my wife?"he asked sighing lightly.


Pride looked at her"you sure?"he asked frowning lightly not totally sure " she might have i dont know..though"he said frowning he gave a quiet sigh kicking a stone around "people think of me as a monster..have you noticted that?"he asked frowning "..i guess its cause im such an ass..or i threaten people.."he said frowning.Pearl looked at him before sighing when she came out"awe..but you might like that to much"she said sticking her tounge out she looked at him before walking out towards the door .

Molly sighed shaking her head at Victoria a little. She wondered where the attitude had come from but she was just hoping it was a phase that would pass. Landon smiled following her into the house. "You should be nicer to your mom. I'm sure she was only trying to be nice." He told her wondering why she seemed so cold toward them.


Ana laughed a little at Otter's comment. She was sure that was completely true though she knew there was a little bit of truth to it. "Go a head. I'm sure Airlia would love that." She told him wondering what her daughter in law was up too. "How's Summer? Or Ben doing?" She asked curious about his children. "Or Bethany and her sisters?" She asked about his three youngest daughters.


Illya gave a nod. "I'm sure." She assured him. "I've noticed, but I also noticed you beat Mason up every day in the hall and you tend to be very rude to people. Plus you kind of asking for it by throwing all the new kids into a torture ring." she told him with a sigh. "You make your own name for yourself and if you don't like it change it." She told him with a soft smile only trying to be honest. "You know I'm only trying to help you. I know you aren't a monster, but that's only because I've seen other sides of you. You only show one side to every one else. What else are they to think?" Bren chuckled and grinned. "You know I would love that." He smirked following her. "So dinner later?" He asked giving her a puppy dog look hoping she would agree.

Victoria frowned lightly"im trying to be..but ..sometimes..i take what she says the wrong way.."she said frowning lightly looking at him"..i mean i love her..but i dont know just ..sometimes.."she said frowning lightly before showing him her room"yellows my faveriotre color..i like taking pictures"she said smiling lightly.


Dark blinked lightly"i guess everyones doing okay..."he said sighing lightly looking at her he gave a quiet sigh " i think they would just like me out of the house anymore.."he said sighing looking at them"so otters...not doing alright?"he asked curioursly *is something on her mind..*he wondred sighing lightly.


Pride frowned"i dont beat him up.. we push each other around..and give each other a few bruises from time to time"he said sighing"i just dont want people looking at me like im weak i feel if im not like this..then everyone else will look at me as that"he said frowning lightly before grabbing her hand and squeezing it lightly.


Pearl nodded "here..?"she asked with a teasing smile looking at him she gave a quiet sigh"sure but you have to let me..get..ready tonight"she said sighing.

Landon gave a nod and sighed. "Maybe I just see it different cause I've never had a other or father.. I think you are lucky for have them both even if they are gross at times." He told her before smiling. "I like yellow too. I once belonged to someone that had a yellow room. Or at least I have a faint memory of such a thing." He told her looking around.


Ana gave a nod and sighed. "Can you blame them? You kind of have every one concerned with how much time you spend inside hiding from the world." She told him as she drank some hot chocolate. "I'm not sure. Some days she's really happy and plays with the twins.. others she can be grumpy and doesn't hang around out here much." She sighed hoping that Otter would tell her if something was bothering her.


Illya looked at him and sighed. "People are still looking at you poorly cause you are always beating people up Pride. You keep wanting to look good for the wrong group of people. The ones that aren't really your friends and are only going to use you." She sighed but wasn't going to say more because she didn't want to make him mad. "Pride.. from what I learnt the truly weak people are the ones that need people to view them as strong. I think you are strong not because of how many people you can push around, but because of the things you can do for your family. The things you've accomplished and the fact that you work hard." She told him. "True strength isn't something that comes from brute alone." Bren smiled at her as they came into view of the school. "Actually I was going to take you some where fancy. And how about I pick you up at 8 that way you have plenty of time to get ready?" He asked as he walked into the classroom and sighed seeing his desk next to Mason was still empty. It was kind of nice seeing that.

Victoria nodded before showing him a picture of sunflowers"like i said kip is alright but..sometimes"she said frowning"i dont know i just never really had time to adjust..they got married then the kids..and everything else"she said frowning.


Dark nodded lightly"did you all ever figurie out what happened to her?"he asked frowning lightly "and yeah i guess..i can see why..they are worried but still.."he said sighing he gave a quiet sigh"i was afraid i was going to blow up around my wife and my kids..can you blame me..for being worried about being blown up?"he asked frowning.


Pride sighed lightly looking at her before sighing"im going to go get breakfast il pick you up something if you want?"he asked smiling at her curioursly " anything you want you name iot ill get it while im getting us breakfast"he said smiling.Pearl sighed looking everywere "hmm not many people is here yet..unsual illya..pride must be late along with mason and dolly"she said frowning lightly she gave a quiet sigh "yeah sure sounds fun"she said smiling.

Landon gave a nod. "That's understandable, but have you tried talking to them about it. They seem like the sort of family that would do anything for you." He told her looking at the picture. "I think your room is very pretty." He told her as he walked around and looked at things. Turning into a fox he jumped onto her bed and curled into a ball. "It's soft and warm."


Ana gave a small nod and sighed. "Yes we did.. but we don't talk about it. Otter is our daughter and a part of this family. That's all that is important." She sighed wishing there was more she could do. "I understand your worry but it's a little silly now Dark. You need to find joy in life again." She told him with a sigh.
