Bren smiled listening to her. "If our future children look like you they will be beautiful." He told her as he walked beside her. "That's fine by me. Umm.. would you like to go to a amusement park with me next week. I got tickets and I don't want to go alone. Plus you should humor your father and just go shopping with him. Even if it's not dress shopping." He told her knowing how much her father cared about her. Adak though for a moment before asking his question. "Why do you show so much cleavage?" He had often been told he wasn't the easiest person to get along with and that he often came across as very rude. "Food." He told her wondering why any one would like to eat anything other then food. "I picked you because my father told me I need a girl in my live. You're a girl. So.. I'm just waiting to see what will happen." He told her a little clueless on what his father had meant.


Dolly smiled and gave a nod. "I will. I'm sure she'll be okay though. She's not Adak. He can be clueless at times." She laughed, but sighed. She loved her siblings. "Come on Mason. We should get going." she told him knowing they still had a long night of fun ahead of them, but first she would check on Melinda.

Pearl nodded lightly "yeah ill go and sure ill go with him shopping"she said sighing not sure about what shopping theyd do but shed humor him "so i wanted to know how you felt about penguins at a base"she said quietly she gave a quiet sigh looking at him not sure how he would feel about that.Katie stared at him for a moment"...i want to some guys like my cleavage.."she said sighing"and im proud of it "she said looking at him"um Adak..i dont believe thats what he ment i think he ment..like..you love a girl.. "she said looking at him"your a little um clueless arent you?"she asked worriedly.


Rowan nodded"true..but im still worried about her i am her mother of course im worried about you two..but you know how to handle yourself you remember what happened when we..tried to teach her to fight she ran away crying in the house"she said trying not to laugh at that memory . Mason nodded lightly before getting up"yeah..im gertting up it was a nice rest while it lasted anyways"he said smiling at them before walking towards the door.

Bren looked at her as he took her hand and smiled. "I like animals.. so I wouldn't mind." He told her with a sigh. "How would you feel if I told you that I have a bad habit of taking in stray animals?" He asked her a little nervous that she might say he had a problem. He liked taking care of living things. That's just something he did. Adak looked her up and down. "I can see why they would like it, however they will just flop around in battle if you don't restrain them." He warned her not thinking twice about what he was saying. "I am not clueless." He barked at her as he walked into the hall. "Come on before I lose my patients." He grumbled.


Dolly gave a nod and giggled remembering that. "I think daddy was happy though. He really didn't want his baby girls fighting." She sighed remembering how pouty he had been when she went into the games. She could only imagine what he had been like today. Dolly grabbed onto Mason's arm and smiled. "So we need to stop and check on Melinda before we go to the club." she told him with a goofy smile.

Pearl giggled lightly "well you see shes not really full animal.."she said seeing the penguin come running through the halls"oh yeah what a coincidence..i have a bad habit .. of doing that at times "she said looking at him she sighed hearing the penguin squawking about something *shes not happy about something.. *she thought sighing. Katie looked at him "gee thanks.."she said before following him"so ..where are we going ?"she asked looking at him "and um..they are restrain ..."she said looking at him"they cant get anymore then this Adak..."she said blushing.


Mason chuckled lightly looking at her he gave a quiet sigh before walking out the door"come on lets go see the little twerp.."he grumbled lightly looking at dolly its not that he didnt like Melinda she could just be prissy and mean at times "your sister can be mean"he said sighing

Bren smiled seeing the penguin running toward them. "She's cute." He sighed wondering what was wrong with her. "I have a raccoon in my room back at my base. He's just a baby. Found him in a box." He told her. "So can I touch her?" He asked wanting to pet the penguin. Adak looked back at her and frowned. "Do they get in your way?" He asked wondering how she worked around them. He was almost telling her she had big breast. "We are going to the park. People get to know each other better when they go places together." He told her with a sigh.


Dolly giggled at that. "I know. She's not that bad though, even with all that." She said as she headed toward Melinda's base. "I just hope she's doing alright." She sighed. Ulric smirked as he watched Melinda from the street. He had placed roses in her room with a note that read 'I'll be watching you'.

 

[Sirensong]

The penguin gave him a nasty eye as if saying i bite , Pearl giggled lightly"if you want to lose your hand" she said giggling"awe i bet its cute..not cute as the penguin though"she said giggling"shes our guard penguin per say.."she said with a mischevious twinkle in her eye "im still thinking of a name for her..oh and bren..sweety shes partly human to ill explain this story to you when were somewere alone"she said sighing. Katie looked at him not sure to be offended or if she should tell him thank you "..um..well yes and no.."she said blushing lightly"oh i see...okay.."she said sighing looking at him "park should be fun"she said smiling.


Mason frowned lightly"pride had a friend showing up today"he said getting an unsteady feeling about it he gave a worried sigh as he walked towar the base, Melinda sighed as she looked at the roses she stopped and eyed them"you have to be kidding me.. "she said looking around she tilted her head some before looking at the note *ill send him a Poisonous toad ..*she thought sighing *better yet ill just ..give it to him ..next..time i see him *she thought rolling her eyes.

Bren gave a nod and chuckled. 'I'll keep my fingers thank you." He said as he looked over at her. "Okay. So what do you wanna do now? I just want to hold you and never let you go but I really can't do that can I?" He asked almost pouting a little. He adored her and he wasn't afraid to show it. Adak looked at her and raised a eyebrow. "I think I like it when you blush. I'll have to find more way to make you turn red like that." He told her as they walked outside. "Tell me about yourself." He told her as he watched her closely.


Dolly gave a nod and sighed. "I stabbed Pride with a pencil last week. He was getting to full of himself and I need to deflate that head of his." She growled not liking that guy at all. "Isn't he engaged to your sister?" She asked remembering seeing Illya had his house a few times visiting her father. Standing outside Melinda's base she threw a rock at her window. "You okay? Mom is worried and asked me to check on you?" she called hoping she would come down and talk to her.

Pearl sighed"no you cant..i guess a movie works right "she said looking at her room before walking in it "so do you want to know how..i got the penguin girl or not ?"she asked shoving her faveriotre movie in she frowned slightly looking in the mirror"remind me,..to ..smack "she said sighing lightly. Katie looked at him"whats to tell?"she asked looking at him" not sure what to tell him "..weve been neighbours for i dont know how long now"she said wondering if he remembered her at all probably not she gave a quiet sigh watching him.


Mason chuckled lightly"how about you do it in his head..err.. brens sister..not mine"he said sighing"me and bren may be brothers and close..but me and illya..arent that close.."he said sighing lightly"im closer to persia..though..well used to be"he said looking at her. melinda sighed before coming down and looking at dfolly she shifted her feet slightly looking at mason"its about a guy..hes not from around here"she said before showing them what the card said "he said..alot of things..that id have to call him"she stopped before looking at dolly.

Bren followed her to her room and sat down on her bed. "Yeah I kind of do want to know." He told her as he reached out and pulled her into his arms. "Even if I can't hold you all the time, I can take advantage of the time that I can hold you." He told her as he kissed her cheek. Adak looked at her and grumbled, "That's pointless information. I've known you've lived beside me. I want to know about things I wouldn't already know." He told her with a narrowed look. "Like what you do. Where you do. What you like." He told her wondering if he had to break it down any more for her.


Dolly giggled at his comment. "I almost did but he moved." She sighed remembering it well. "I'm a little surprised. I have classes with her and she is very fond of you. She's told me how she regrets that she never really got the chance to bond with you, but admires how devoted you are. Either way she is your step sister whether you are close to her or not and in my book that's still family Mason." She told him before smiling seeing Melinda. She sighed hearing about that guy. "Oh boy mom is not going to like this. Melinda, try not to stand out to much for the next few days. I'll look into him." She promised her.

Pearl smiled before leaning her head back slightly"hmm holding me like this will get you everywere"she said giggling she gave a quiet sigh" a few hunters.. were kicking her around she was one of thems..pet..she has a few scars under wings..so i bought her.."she said sighing "ive tried to tell her shes not a pet..of mine...but im not sure its competely gotten through yet.."she said sighing. Katie sighed"i like music..cookies... pizza .. i ..do some dance im not great but im okay .."she said sighing"i work from time to time..and i got to school thats really it im pretty boring"she said looking at him.


Mason sighed lightly he looked slightly surpurised "..im surpurised ..didnt think she thought that"he said looking at her he gave a quiet sigh "ah true i guess i just didnt think about it like that for some reason "he said sighing "maybe i can steal bren away tommrow..."he said strecthing"if your okay with that .."he said looking at dolly , Melinda sighed"i know ..dont stand out dolly..i was barely standing out as it was what do you except me to do... ?"she asked sighing"he just sent me roses..some of the prettiest roses ive seen in a long time but thats not the point and hes probably still freaking watching "she said frowning.

Bren gave a nod as he held her close. "I see, well give it time and I'm sure it'll get through to her.." At least he hoped so. He knew of some 'pets' that once free never adjusted right to that freedom. "So you know your stunning right?" He asked her with that old goofy grin he always used to have. Adak gave a nod listening to her. "Dance with me." He said in a slightly commanding way. "I'm not really that great at it either, but I can dance too." He told her wondering if he was doing this whole thing right. He was really trying not to be a ass right now.


Dolly gave a nod and smiled at Mason. "Maybe it's because she's always with Pride. It's hard to imagine her as someone so sweet, but she really is. Like the complete opposite of him." She laughed thinking about it. "I'm not going to stop you from spending time with your brother." She told him with a smile. "Melinda.. hmm.. just keep going about your daily life and I'll see what i can do. Right now he doesn't seem to want to hurt you, so that's a good thing." She sighed trying to figure out what to do about all this.

 

[Sirensong]

Pearl giggled lightly"yes i know ..and bren what if it dosent though what do i do then?"she asked smiling gently"i mean she waddles around base.. she acts just like an animal..i might have heard her speak like once.. hmm i love you and the goofy grin"she said smiling. Katie smiled"sure.i guess "she said smiling at him "..so um what do you like to do?"she asked taking his hand slightly she gave a quiet sigh she looked rather nevrous for a few seconds


Melinda frowned"yeah he said he wouldnt kill me..but .. still im kinda concerened he wouldnt let me go until i finally basically pryed myself away from him and he wanted me to scream"she said frowning "do we have to tell mom"she said before feeling masons slight fist on her head "hey !"she grumbled. Mason looked at her before sighing slightly "oh hush now..we will figurie something out dont start acting like your going to have a panic attack "he grumbled.

Bren sighed, "You'll have to be kind to her and love her. Sometimes once the mental damage is done you can't fix it. It's a like a scar." He sighed knowing what that was like. "I'm sure if you keep talking to her she'll come around and start talking too." He smiled having faith in her. He couldn't help but grin more at her compliments. They made him feel bubbly inside. Adak sighed looking down at her as they danced. "I've never really cared for much of any thing but drinking keeps me calm.. hmm. I prefer the dark and cold. I enjoy my mother's fur when she's in wolf form if that counts, just don't ever tell her that." He sighed knowing how his mother would behave if she heard him say that.


Dolly already hated this guy. "Well don't ya worry. I'll find him and beat him up!" She told her with a smile. She wouldn't let anyone hurt her siblings. "Not at the moment, but if he tries to hurt you or other things.. then mom needs to know. Right now I'll try to handle it with Mason's help. You just call mom and let her know you're alright. And.. if he talks to you again.. try to record it. play along. get information out of him that might help us deal with him." She told her with a sigh.

Pearl nodded lightly"im not exactly sure of her age either..ive only seen her in human form once"she said frowning lightly she gave a quiet sigh "oh if im not in my room sometime when your here..im probably in the backroom your not allowed in"she said smiling. Katie opened her mouth to say something but she decided against it she gave a quiet sigh "hmm ill remember that sorry i dont have any fur .."she said looking at him before smiling"so um..you like to drink what your faveriotre kind?"she asked curioursly.


Melinda frowned"...you do realize what your asking me to do right?"she asked frowning lightly she gave a quiet sigh "you know ive never been good with that..do you even remember what used to happen when we would all play spies..im just not good with this kind of stuff"she said sighing lightly watching them.

Bren gave a nod and sighed. "I'm sure she'll open up more in time. You're too sweet for her not to warm up to." He told her with a smile. "Okay. I'll just sit outside the room and whine until you come out and see me." He told her with a laugh. "If I'm not in my room or under my napping tree.. I'm normally in the bar part of my base mixing drinks or the meeting room.. which has a code lock on it." He told her with a sigh. "I usually sleep in there." He admitted. Adak looked at her and frowned. "You would look funny with fur. I don't care for any one else's fur. Just my mothers. I prefer drinks that have a kick to them. Bitter things." He told her wondering if her taste were more for the sweeter things.


Dolly smiled at her and sighed. "Oh come on. You need to have more faith in yourself. Beside all you have to do is talk to him. You don't have to be nice just as long as you get him to tell you things about himself that might help us find and beat him up." she told her with a sigh. "Or you could have adak dress up like you and do it. That'll be worse." She told her giggling at the idea.

Pearl nodded and smiled"sure you do that..mixing drinks huh?"she asked her eyebrow arched"hey bren can i talk to you serioursly for a minute ?"she asked before moving slightly away and sitting on her bed she gave him a quick look "you hear things right i mean..youve had to hear some things about people.."she said frowning. Katie giggled lightly"yes i would look funny with fur i see.. "she said smiling "bitter things ill remember that..i like Beef Jerkey im not sure about the drink i like..last time i tried one i puked"she said blushing.


Melinda made a rather werid face as if saying not funny "he will no the difference trust me.. and .. sure ill try it..but if i get cuaght its on you "she said frowning "i better go im sure you two have a long night ahead of you since masons finally out of the book"she said before turning and slightly walking away before waving bye to dolly.

Bren gave a nod looking at her. "Yes I have heard thing about people. It's part of my job outside the games. I am a information broker after all." He frowned wondering where she was going with this. "I pay people for useful information or find it myself and then I sell that information to others. Is there something.. you need to know or don't want people to know about?" He asked wondering where this was going. He'd picked this job and skill because he wanted to be useful to her. Adak looked at her and took a mental note of her likes and drinking experience. "You're not allowed to drink in my office then. You can drink any where else though. I don't do good with vomit." He told her.


Dolly giggled and sighed. "I know. I was just joking. And it sounds like this guy might get off on you doing what I asked of you. I doubt, even if he feels you are up to no good, that he will hurt you. It might draw him in more or worst case cause him to kidnap you.. but hopefully we have this under control by then." she told her in a way to positive manner. "We do have a long night. More so him because he'll be keeping me out of trouble when I drink one to many drinks at the club." She smiled playfully.

Pearl sighed"i want to find the person who..killed my brother "she said serioursly"we both know im like a bulldog knawing on a bone with these things"she said looking at him she gave a quiet sigh"even if i cant do anything..i want to know who did it"she said looking at him"and you can help me.."she said almost seeing like she was pleading. Katie sighed"i was five when i did it Adak..and it whiskey i think im not to sure "she said frowning before laughing"everyone i was surpuised i upchuck they had no idea why though"she said giggling.


Melinda giggled lightly hearing about mason"good luck with that "she said before racing off she gave a quiet sigh looking at them before walking back into the base , Mason sighed lightly"so what are we going to do..?"he asked looking at dolly worriedly"she looked like she was holding back about something ya know?"he asked.

Bren gave a nod and sighed. "I'll tell you what I've heard regarding that so far. He was killed while I was still being held captive, but I over heard them talking about it a few days before my dad came for me. I believe one of the guys said something about the cleansing. When I asked around after I got out I heard rumors that some of the pure blood and high classed Hunters are trying to get rid of half breeds and any one they view as unworthy. Honestly Pride might know more about this. I'll ask him sometime and offer him something in return for whatever he might know." He told her hoping that helped some what. Adak looked at her and sighed. "Five or not it's a good guess that you might have the same reaction now. Until proven false you will not be drinking in my office." He told her before pulling her toward the playground. "I remember when we were five and our mothers brought us here on a play date. I bite you and pushed you down the slide because you looked at me funny." He told her wondering if she remembered that.


Dolly gave a nod and sighed. "I noticed, but for now I'll let it go." She sighed not wanting to get Melinda any more worked up then she already was. "I'm going to get drunk and dance. You can then have your way with me.' She told him with a innocent look. "Or you get drink and dance with me too. Can't promise what we might do if both of us aren't thinking straight though." She told him with a playful grin.

Pearl looked at bren before frowning"so that means..any one of us could be next.."she said looking at him she felt her heart stop for a brief moment she looked paniced for a moment"no dont you dare say that..no way he cant..no anything about this can he?"she asked not really wanting to believe it she frowned lightly*hes basically like an brother whos an ass..*she thought chuckling slightly at that thought. Katie noddeD"oh i remeber that... "she said smiling"i think i started crying and that might have been the last playdate we had"she said rolling her eyes she gave a quiet sigh "it feels like a long time ago"she said watching Adak.


Mason looked at dolly"i really like the first one.."he said looking at dolly to she her reaction he gave a werid look at her "i dont know something odd is going on"he said frowning lightly "do you get that feeling..i feel like calling this year the year of blood.."he said rather jokingly though he grew quiet as if he was being serious.

Bren gave a nod. "Yes, for the most part that's what it means. Some of us have bigger targets on us then others." He sighed not wanting to worry her but she had a right to know what he knew. "I only think he might know about this because Illya told me he was setting up a torture ring and some of his 'friends' rubbed her the wrong way. I trust my sister's gut feeling about things and a part of me wonders if Pride might be getting himself into something bigger then what he first thought." He really hoped not. He didn't care for the guy, but Illya loved him. Adak gave a nod. "My mother took me home and put me in the corner. I got mad and put my foot through that corner, which caused my dad to beat my butt." He grumbled but sighed.


Dolly blushed a little but still smiled. "I thought you might." She told him flirting. "Yes there has been a lot of strange things going on.. I think that might be a fitting name." She sighed but then pulled him into the club. "So I'm going to get a drink and then we can see what happens from there." She winked at him.

Pearl nodded"maybe you and pride..should go out to lunch or something tommrow..i know you two dont get along..but you two could talk..and honestly when hes not around illya..or any of his friends hes not that bad"she said sighing lightly frowning"yeah ...his friends..arent the best"she said looking at bren for a moment before looking away. Katie laughed slightly "so..when the last time youve had a home cooked meal?"she asked curioursly"if you dont mind me i could cook sometime...?"she asked looking at him she gave him a quick look *hes not that bad..i guess..*she thought ttrying not to smile.


Mason nodded lightly "hopefully something fun"he said smiling at her he gave a werid sigh before looking at his phone *maybe i should start getting ready ...in case something goes..wrong.. *he thought sighing before watching her get a drink he smiled watching her *..shes to pretty at times..*he thought chuckling.

Bren grumbled at the idea. "I guess it wouldn't kill me.. though the issue is getting him to agree to it." He told her as he laid back on her bed. "Your bed is soft. I might not want to get up." He told her in a joking way. "So.. I think Illya is pregnant. She's denied it every time I've asked.. but I'm not stupid. I can tell." He sighed wondering why she would hide it. Sure it made him mad at Pride, but he wouldn't do anything that would hurt his sister. Adak stopped and thought for a moment. "What was the last holiday?" He asked not sure how long ago that had been. The idea was tempting and he couldn't hide it. "If you cook the whole team might want to eat it.." He grumbled being selfish and not wanting to share.


Dolly smiled as she downed her drink and pulled Mason to the dance floor with her. Her eyes were shining from the light as she moved with the music. "Come on and dance with me silly." She told him taking his hand. "It's fun." She told him with a big smile. She could already feel the effect of her drink kicking in.

Pearl shook her head and sighed"just ask him..im sure he will agree if not..me and illya will beat him up.. until he says yes.. "she said laughing"she probably is"she said remembering the one time she was over there"dumb ass.."she grumbled "well you can lay here if it will make you ..happy i dont mind"she said smiling. Katie looked at him"well i really have no idea ive done forgot"she said laughing " awe you can lock me and the food iun your room"she joked slightly she gave him a funny look "you do know im joking on the last part right?"she asked.


Mason chuckled lightly looking at dolly "yeah sure but remember two left feet.."he said sighing it showed how worried he was he grumbled lightly looking at her "yeah your drinks already taking affect aint it?"he asked trying not to laugh.

Bren smiled laying there. "Do you think Pride is going to become even more of a dick if she is? I already get the evil eye when I talk to her. I'm her brother, what does he think I'm going to do." He grumbled but sighed. "I send him a message when I'm done being comfortable.. though that might be never." He told her with a grin. Adak was seriously considering that. "I could put a collar on you too. Then they really will know not to touch you." He mumbled running ideas through his head. "How would you like to be mine? Cook for me, help me with paper work, stuff like that. In exchange I wont hang you from the ceiling and torture you until you wet yourself."


Dolly just giggled at him and danced. "It doesn't matter how many left feet you have. So shut up and kiss me already." She told him as she warped her arms around him. "Yeah it might be, but you like it." She told him with a cat like grin.
