The Apprentice (Fox X Karcen)

[Foxora]

He was in the shower longer then usual, It took a long time of thinking before finally he thought "Well, I can't turn back time now... and I can't even stop even if I wanted too... sigh..." He dried himself off and didn't even bother getting dressed as he made his way to his bedroom.

 

[Karcen]

84 once again woke up early though this time she stayed in bed on her master last night had been a lot of fun. She would let him sleep and just stay with him till he woke up.

 

[Foxora]

It was really peaceful for her for awhile, but eventually the sunlight coming through the window finally reached his eyes, rousing him from his really comfy sleep that he was entirely reluctant about. "Mmm..." he half opened eyes moved down to cast his gaze on her. "Heh, Good morning, Ellie"

 

[Karcen]

" good morning master" She said though she felt a little odd after last night it really was the only time anyone had cared abotu her pleasure and it was odd everythign about SEbastain was odd and she liked it he was a good master. " I'll start cooking breakfast soon"

 

[Foxora]

He flashed a grin before he gave a yawn and lifted his arms off her to stretch. "Sounds good, I'll be there after a quick shower" He was slowly started to get up and get off the bed.

 

[Karcen]

" yes master" she said getting out of bed and going to the kitchen. She figured she would do something simple cereal toast and eggs. It was a simple thing to do but she hadn't bothered to leave the bed and start working early. She didn't know why she had lingered with her master when she could have started her next task but it must just be Sebastian rubbing off on her.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian finally did get onto his feet and was a bit surprised Ellie wasn't already out. She usually would be gone by now to take on whatever she said she was going to do. Though it wasn't like he was complaining. Sometimes it was just nice when they were just there together. He'd stay there longer, but today was gonna be another busy day, so he had to get moving. He gave Ellie a quick on armed hug "Alright, I'm off to the shower, see ya in abit" then kissed her cheek and headed out the door.

 

[Karcen]

84 shivered a little at the hug and kiss it was odd she normally was just fine with a kiss but after last night things were affecting her differently. it had to be after affects of the events of last night. Either way she went to the kitchen and quickly made the meal she had thought of it was simple and fast but it would be fine.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian didn't realize till as he was showering when he asked himself Did i just... kissed her cheek, right out of the blue? He started to get abit red in the cheeks thinking up reasons on why he would do so. He washed up quick and already got dressed up in his expedition gear as he entered the Kitchen. "Alright, I hope your ready, today's gonna be a long day, work wise." he said sitting down at the table with the food. "Thank you, so much for breakfast by the way" He wanted to point out.

 

[Karcen]

" I am ready always master" She said mostly to reply how a slave should and partly because she was ready to go she didn't have to get ready, well to much more ready when it came to the expedition. " Let me just get a drink ready for you" She said turning on the water while yesterday she had only taken a little today she decided to go full sized turning into her big form.

 

[Foxora]

It was good hour and a half before breakfast was completed and they were ready to go. at the forest floor below the outpost. "Ok, everything is accounted for. It looks like"

 

[Karcen]

" what is the plan for today master?" 84 asked as they got ready to leave for whoever they were going no doubt those same ruins but she didn't know , Sebastian might have some new idea for the day.

 

[Foxora]

"Well as much as I would love to return to those ruins, I got a message some my bosses up top. Apparently something of interest was discovered 30 miles North East from here." he was tapping away at a holo screen. "So all my plans are shelved until we get data on whats going on over there." He pressed some kind of window and the holo screen closed out. After a seconds of awkward silence of watching Sebastian look up, Suddenly a giant pod dropped down in front of him, and opened up revealing, what Ellie could at best describe as, a metal Carriage. Sebastian proceeded to climb into what would be assumed as the driver's seat. "It's a long way from here so we're gonna need this baby to get us there and back in record time.

 

[Karcen]

Another machine one 84 couldn't really figure out it was something to move them along but it didn’t' seem to be pulled by anything like a carriage. It had to be another part of advanced technology for moving around, though she didn't get it, it didn't seem to agile and they were In a forest where there were not long clear paths. " Ok " she said as she moved to the other side getting into the device and seemingly adjusting well to yet another strange machine.

Sebastian got the thing in gear, and then, they were off "Woo!" the "Carriage" Had some very powerful Shock asorbers, so no matter how bumpy the ride was, every one inside barely "Man I love these things"

 

[Karcen]

84 really didn't know what to say aside froms he made the seat wet more than normal because she was in her big form and she had no clue what they were goign to do so she coudl only sit and wait.

 

[Foxora]

Half way through the ride some creatures could be seen popping out of the bushed and toward them, They seemed to upright lizard apes known as Gelks, and they were chasing after them. "Well thats perfect, They love to hunt fast things" lifting his hand out from where she couldn't see it, he somehow pulled out a weapon, that was like that small banging weapon from before, but looked a third larger and alot more formidable. He fired one round of that Hand Cannon and large booming gun shot echoed through the forest and one of Gelks unfortunate enough to be in the path of that bullet looked like some invisible force the other too but flee completely. "Persistant little buggers"

 

[Karcen]

84 didn't know how to react other than to just let Sebastain deal with the inhabitants of the forest, she just made sure she didn't get in the way.

 

[Foxora]

As he drove through the forest he contantly had to look forward to see where they were going, then look back to shoot another another one of those vermin, then repeat. He noticed some of them were closing in. "Ellie, Your getting a crash course on guns" he showed her the Hand cannon, but more importanly, how his hand was holding it. "Hold the gun like this" then showed her the barrel of the gun as they swerved around a tree. "Thats where the shots come out of. Aim it at them then you squeeze the trigger" He flexed his index finger where it was resting on the trigger to show her where it was. After that he fired a few shots back, before reloading hand cannon when they were at a small clearing so he cold reload without crashing. He had to be quick though, which he handed to her. then focused on driving. "Let me know when you need a reload.

84 would normally reject the helping fight thing, after all her kind hadn’t fought in ages and they had been defeated every time they had fought so it was in the end something of a lost art to the slimes not even their simi genetic memory held any help on fighting anymore. Still she took the gun and imitated the very things Sebastian had just showed her , point and pull it seemed simple enough. A gun was something she actually had heard about though they were mostly of the musket variety very big and inaccurate along with bad at reloading, though advanced technology made all of these things better.


84 took aim at one of the Gelks and fired, she hit it and it went down, but so did the gun and her hands, and her wrists recoil was not something her body could take it was one of the many reasons slimes made poor fighters to much force and things just went through them. The loss of hands was nothing though she just reformed them. “ Master I don’t think I can use the gun ” She said knowing every shot would be a repeat of that.

Sebastian watched the gun fly out of her hands and into the forest.... then sighed. "Don't worry, that was my fault for forgetting your genetic makeup" he pulled his hand out again now holding that very same gun Ellie lost and shot two Gelks that were getting too close for comfort. After seeing they had enough breathing room he pulled his hand back, flicked his wrist and the Hand Cannon, changed into a different looking gun, and he gave it to her. "This, one should work perfectly for you. though it'll take an extra shot for those bigger ones back there, though, just stopping them from chasing us is all that matters so if you get them to stop running at us with the first shot then just move onto the next target.. Try again." he said before looking forward, He really had to focus now that the woods were getting thicker.

 

[Karcen]

84 watched as Sebastain brought the gun back from where she had dropped it in an instant, she didn't get how this wasn't magic but it had to be technology. Really it was surprising the Gelks were still coming after them after losing some of their number. Still she took the new gun and tried again she expected the gun to blow her hands off again but instead of a bullet it shot light. 84 didn't get how it shot light or why it did but pointing it at the gelks and firing seemed to do damage though light shouldn't hurt. She managed to shoot another one to death most likely and hopefully that would stop them.


" What is this gun master it does not break my hand?" She asked.

 

[Foxora]

"It's the Gala 45, standard issue laser pistol!.... Though, for better memory you can just call it the laser pistol. You don't need to reload it, but too many consecutive shots will overheat it! The lights on the sides of the gun will tell you it that happens if you see them start blinking red!" All the death did seem to scare off the majority of the Gelk, but the bigger braver ones stuck around as Sebastian did a to avoid a boulder, this giving him enough time to get a look at the Gelk.... and an idea occured. "Shoot that on your right! It's the leader! Take him down and the rest scatter!" He managed to hit the gas intime to dodge a gelk pile up and was back on course.

84 had no idea what the word laser meant she guessed it meant light gun also she didn't really understand pistols but that was understandable it meant small gun . now the idea of watching for a color she got really she could just go along with this in the end as there was nothing else to do. 84 took aim at the Gelk mentioned and fired until the laser over heated managing to at least heavily wound the gelk if not kill it and as expected the gelks scattered.

When the gun over heated, it's top part opened up, revealing what she would've called a cylinder canister of light, and steam came off it as it was exposed to the air, helping it cool off faster.


Sebastian took this moment to ease out the ride to a more comfortable pace. "Nice shootin', Tex" he said as the canister finally cooled off and retreated back into the gun.
