The Apprentice (Fox X Karcen)

[Karcen]

" Tex?" 84 asked while it was a master's right to rename her she did not think that Sebastian would so suddenly rename her so suddenly. Still the gun had been useful and with no recoil she wondered what other kinds of weapons Sebastian had. She also had to wonder just how far the target thing was they had been traveling for some time.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian chuckled and waved it off "Don't worry, about it, Ellie. Just Complimenting you on shooting so accurately." He tried to make it as straightforward as possible. The Ride was actually coming to an end as they reached another clearing and up ahead was a somewhat large crater with smoke billowing out of it.

 

[Karcen]

When they got to the crater its smoke while coming out didn't come from what had crashed but instead a tree it had crashed into.


" Oh " 84 said as they approached.


inside at the center of the crater was a strange metal canister, it was about the size of Sebastian and thicker than him. The canister seemed unharmed by the decent and the only damage if it could be called that was that a shelf had been opened and it held strange tools and vials . This was very advanced tech beyond the scope of the current space fairing races and they were billions of years old.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian walked up to the edge of the crater, "Well... that's new" and he slid down the crater and up to the object, already digging through the opened canister.

 

[Karcen]

" Master are you sure it is safe to touch that thing?" 84 asked not sure what the thing was where it had come from, she was clue less she just knew it looked like it was metal but it didn't seem to look like how metal would after going though lots of heat.

 

[Foxora]

"Well, it's not burning me... so far so good. and the Scanner isn't picking up any radiation. That's a big plus, right there." He then pulled out what looked like a metal box, after looking at he opened it. From the best that he could make out of it, they were more tools, but smaller and more complex looking. He assumed they were more delicate jobs. He closed the box and grabbed a few of the other tools and started bringing them up to the Jeep. "Ellie, try to get as much as you can from this thing. The more data the better."

 

[Karcen]

84 had been about to do as her master asked but as she took her eyes off Sebastain to look back at the canister it was gone, it simply had vanished as if someone had taken it but they couldn't have gotten in and out that fast. " I would master but it is gone " She said pointing to the spot.

 

[Foxora]

He raised his eyebrow as he dropped the tools in the jeep. "What are you talking about?" he headed back to her and the crater. "There's no way-" he then saw the now empty crater. "Where did it go" he slid back down it and reached out at were it used to be to see if he could touch it, but no avail.

 

[Karcen]

" Was that not supposed to happen… what was in it?" 84 asked unsure of what was going on this was magically technology to her, yes she was defaulting to magic as things happened that were beyond even her explanation of it is technology.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian looked all over for any traces on where it might have gone... but sighed and decided it was a lost cause. "I don't know what it was... but we managed to get some samples..." He climbed back out. "there not much else we can do for now. Lets just go on the next part of our agenda he walked up behind her. "Gonna take a drink" he warned her before his lips were on her neck again and he started to suck on it.

 

[Karcen]

84 shivered slightly as Sebastian started to drain her of liquid, which was exactly why she had made sure to come in her big form so there would be extra to drink. Still at least this wasn't apparently a total loss as they got some stuff. This was also apparently only one thing they would be doing, well they hadn't done much in the past few days as they had just looked in the ruins , but something about that place creeped her out it was like something was sleeping and waiting to be woken up.

 

[Foxora]

After drinking, what he felt was enough for the time being, he patted her head. "Thank you, Ellie before heading off to the jeep. "Lets get moving."

 

[Karcen]

" yes master" 84 said following Sebastian back into the machine wondering what they would do next no doubt looking at something else and taking guesses as to what it was.

 

[Foxora]

"Were going deeper into the forest. We'll need to set up a Base camp into the unknown. Of course this forest likes to get spooky when you reach deeper woods." He said as he got the jeep running and when she got on, he drove off to the North.

 

[Karcen]

" We won't return home today master?" She asked as Sebastian drove off to the north wondering just what was inside the forest that they were going to investigate.

 

[Foxora]

He shook his head. "Thats what the jeep here is for. It has all our camping gear, rations, and tools." He then pulled up a hologram out of nowhere again and pushed it toward the windshield and it was like he stuck it on like it was sticker as it was now in the windshield, and it displayed what, at best to Ellie, some sort of map. "Hmm, fortunately, it appears that a river was detected where we're going, so thats a plus."

 

[Karcen]

Well at least they had everything they needed, though she did wonder if this meant she wouldn't be cooking today as rations didn't sound like they needed much cooking as even their rations were just dried food that didn't go bad. The map as best she could call it she didn't really get as it didn't look like a normal map, but all the maps she had seen were on paper not glass.


" Yes master… is there somewhere we are going that takes more than a day?" She asked now wondering about a multi day trip.

 

[Foxora]

"Oh just a couple days in the deep woods to chart out the territory and document anything out of the ordinary. I was given info that some Category G creatures were spotted in this area. So We gotta try find them, snap some photos, and make some notes." He said as he changed gears for the jeep as they went up hill. "It'll be fun" he flashed her a grin. "Oh, but we still got our emergency bail out option just in case things get dicey" he said looking at the Trunk of the jeep for a moment.

 

[Karcen]

Well this was what explorers did they explored so really 84 didn't know why she would be surprised by them actually having to go look about. They would at least have something to shelter them and knowing the advanced technology that her master's people had it would no doubt be very nice, though she didn't see the need of a river though it Sebastian wanted to drink from her and do their normal feeing then it might be needed. Well things were working out.


" What is a category G ?" She asked.

 

[Foxora]

When she asked, that same cocky smirk returned to his face "In laymens terms" He started driving downhill now "Something so big that you can pick up signs of it from space." He drifted around a tree. "It's really exciting, who knows what it could be, Though it be helpful if it was an herbivore or something like that. We might be in for a fight if it were carnivorous.

 

[Karcen]

So big it could be detected from space, space…… from the sky? Really she didn't get it how big did it have to be to be seen from the sky or further up maybe? Really if it was that big how did they not see it now things looked tiny when you were far away on the planet they hand to look really small high up so how could they see it from space it had to be a big as a mountain.


" how could we fight a mountain ?" She asked confused thinking anything that was category G had to be that huge.

 

[Foxora]

He smiled poked at her forehead "We think carefully" then he poked at her chest "Then we bring out our Courage" he pulled his hand away and flicked it and the Hand cannon from before was in hand "And we use the tools at our disposal to take on such a grand task."

 

[Karcen]

84 didn't know where this confidence Sebastian had came from she was not sure they could defeat such a strong creature if they encountered on, it would be huge and well things had been powerful but anything that ate others and was mountain sized had to be powerful she just did not see them winning nay fight against them.


" Yes master" She said though she was still unsure.

 

[Foxora]

Sebastian picked up on that unsure tone and patted her head. "Hey don't worry about it, you don't have to believe me now, It's always common knowledge to show proof. So I'll make sure to prove to you that I'm right" his cheery attitude never faltering as the journey continued

 

[Karcen]

" yes master" 84 said not really sure but well Sebastian was someone she could trust and he did make her feel better but well she just had to hope they didn't encounter anything or it ate plants that would be nice.
