Realistic or Modern Technomatic School RP (RP thread) [Open]

Someone was talking to her. Now that in itself wasn't exactly a problem, it was the amount of food she was still 'chewing' that stopped any further conversation. Well that would change in a few... "Ah... that's better. Cyn, though people say its usually introduce yourself first before asking another. But that's fine, who needs social norms anyway when we have... um... oh food~" She resumed eating when she deemed the strange boy not nearly as interesting as the veritable feast before her.

Eleanor snorted into her pudding upon seeing the new girl ignore the other boy in favor of food. This seemed like a fun group she found herself in. She leaned over the table until she was eye to eye with the hapily chewing girl.

"You know, it's rude to ignore other people like that." A malevolent gleam appeared in her eyes and her mouth formed into a wide grin.

"My name is Sivent. If you want you can call me Siv." He managed to say before her attention was consumed on the food again.

'I like her.'

'You only like her because she has the same priorities as you. Food first, people later.' Sivent took a piece of chicken off his plate and handed it to Jonas, who happily began to eat. 'It's probably best not to judge, I'm hungry too.' He turned to the girl that had spoken to Cyn and politely asked, "And what is your name?"

@RoanDracniil

Eleanor turned away from the other girl and looked at the boy who just introduced himself as "Sivent but you can call me Siv". Buut her attention was diverted from the boy towards the falcon that's gorging itself on food.

"What a majestic creature you are! Aren't you just fearsome with those sharp eyes and curved, wicked beak! And look at those wings!" she fussed over the bird, poking and prodding it while trying to feed it with some of her own bacon.

@Runesage

Kurt groaned as he glanced over the first-years. They were all younger than him. Oh, good. This was going to be a fun stay at school. Oh well. He was probably going to be more advanced than most. He'd fought beasts before, albeit with some help from a town guard of not that many. Of not enough. His demeanour saddened momentarily as he reflected on the events, once again. He tried to shake himself out of it, and think about better things. Like how he was probably more advanced than most here. He'd learned a fair amount of magic in his life, while he guessed that most of these ones were kind of untrained. Putting him in first-year was probably a formality. While he thought, the headmaster's speech came and went. He was vaguely aware of rules and dueling.

He had received some weird box. He couldn't open it, and now it was doing so itself. Inside was a cookie Wait, what? He picked it out and looked at it for a long moment. "Looks like a normal cookie. Well, here we go then. Kind of random when there's a feast." He bit it in half, chewing happily. A piece of paper fell out of the broken half he was holding. He'd bitten it in half. The taste was ever so slightly paper-like, thinking of it. He quickly dived for it, catching it between his ring and pinkie fingers. It looked like it used to be a seven. His group and table, probably.

With a sigh he shoved the rest of the cookie in his mouth and looked for a second at the piece of paper, before putting that in as well. He started shuffling over to his table, trying his best not to look like a pedophile. Pretty much everyone was already there. He considered, then chose to sit in the farthest away spot from any of the others. It was really awkward being obviously older than everyone else.

Sam was busy peicing a few fragments into a fist sized deuterium harvester, practising, he needed to perfect this for his fusion gun. He didn't say anything, just listened to everyone, taking in what information he could, he struggled to make conversation with people he didn't know.

"Point sir, er um, ma'am." Cyn happily placed her hand on top of her head, regarding the red head with as much interest as she would regard a fly. It was rare for her to pick up the pace so quickly after meeting new people, but to enlighten the strangely ignorant girl, she was willing to make an exception. "Upon examining rules of etiquette, it is only polite that one introduces himself or herself first before asking for a name. I gave him mine, he didn't give me his, therefore, considering his prior lack of courtesy, it was fair that I responded in kind. It's not like I totally ignored bird brai... desert, yay!" Of course, her eyes caught the strange food one would usually eat after meals and made a beeline for it. Why eat cake after all the vegetables? It made absolutely no sense when it was possible to gain just as much nutrients from a straw.

Zin shook his head as the boy queried if he was sarcastic before following his advice and digging into his food eagerly. Before he got very far one of the other students, who he had interrupted earlier, introduced himself as Xavier. "Intriguing title there." Zin said taking the boys hand as a girl sat down nearby and Xavier introduced everyone.

"Monkey Boy?" Zin asked with an eyebrow raised. "I like it actually, although Zin works too." He twitched the corners of his mouth upwards in a small smile before returning to his meal as more people joined in and the hubbub of conversation grew. It was only when someone older sat further along the table that Zin engaged with the goings on.

The man seemed more than a little out of place given his age and Zin wondered if he was a teacher rather than a student. He tried to catch the man's eye and give a sort of beckoning wave for him to join with the rest of the group but he had no idea how successful he was being. Regardless though his attention was soon diverted to the sudden lack of weight on his shoulder as Sonic leapt off and his shoulder and streaked across the table.

When the blur settled down it was on another boy's shoulder right next to some sort of bird of prey whom it was peering at with wide, curious eyes. "Sonic!" Zin said, startled. The monkey looked back at him and turned it's head to the side before bounding away and back to his usual shoulder. "Hey no harm done right? Sorry about that he just gets a little enthusiastic." He said to the boy with the bird.

Xavier ignored the rest of the student's and focused on a ball of flames he had conjured. The vivid orange flames flickered along the palm of his hands. He suddenly had an idea. What if he could mix two elements together, he'd be the most powerful mage in the world if he could. He smirked, before frowning. It had already been done before. He sighed before using his free hand to summon a ball of wind. Wind was his most difficult element, it was so hard to control, because of it's free movement.

His hands trembled in concentration as he tried to focus the wind into a ball. It didn't work. It ended up backfiring and propelling him out of his seat and to the middle of the hall. He groaned as he got up, and glanced at everyone with a blush. "M-My bad."

Sam chuckled as Xavier was sent rocketing across the room. Sam quickly deconstructed his deuterium harvester, afraid of messing up as Xavier had done. He looked at the new arrivals, guessing what they would be like when he got to know them.

Xavier rubbed his sheepishly before taking a seat. "Haha very funny." He said sarcastically when he saw Sam laughing at his Epic Fail. "Elemental Magic is extremely hard. If you make one wrong move, you may end up dying."

Some boy down the row was holding a small floating ball of fire. Looked small. The boy considered it for a second, then raised his other hand, conjuring a burst of wind. Kurt looked on, vaguely interested, He still didn't feel comfortable being so much older, but such was the way of things. The kid seemed to be struggling with it. It lasted a few seconds before violently erupting, sending him hurtling out of his chair and across to the middle of the hall.

Kurt cocked an eyebrow. That was unexpected, to say the least. The boy got up awkwardly. All eyes were on him. "M-My bad." he managed. Another kid along let out a chuckle. "Haha very funny." the boy began sarcastically. "Elemental Magic is extremely hard. If you make one wrong move, you may end up dying." Kurt would have cocked an eyebrow, but he'd already done so." Well that was obvious. "So that's why you were doing it in the middle of eating, is it? Smart move, hotshot." he called out mockingly. He didn't even think about it, he just said it. This could get interesting.

@Gilgog

Xavier blushed a dark red. "I was already done eating, I was merely experimenting." He paused, and glanced at man, looking him up and down. "Are you a teacher?" He questioned. The man looked to old to be a student.

Kurt laughed at the boy's question of him being a teacher. "Ha! I wish." He shifted slightly in his seat. "Sit back down. You're just digging yourself deeper the longer you stand out there." he suggested, actually trying to be helpful. He felt a little bad. Only a little, though. The kid was kind of asking for it, practising in a place like this. The older students were sitting back, watching in amusement.

Xavier laughed awkwardly before sitting down. He slowly conjured a burst of wind, and threw it at the man. "Ha, try that old man." He smirked before grabbing a chicken leg and biting down on it.

"Fireworks~" She cheered as something exploded, a slight flash of dim light enveloping her in a warm glow for but a moment, a side effect of her own... ability, but that was moot point at the moment. This were heating up, and if anything escalated even more, someone was bound to be blown away. With wind and fire in play, who was she to curb such a fun firestorm in the making. "Fight! Yay! Go team!" Cyn was, well a very very very small part of her was curious as to what exactly they could do, and to an extent, if they could beat her in a straight up fight, but she had enough confidence and self control, what?, to stop herself from joining in.

She wasn't exactly sure if the building could survive that.

The kid laughed nervously, possibly realising his position. After a second, he sat down, slowly gathering wind between his hands. Curious, but a little cautious, Kurt watched. "Ha, try that old man." called the boy, sending the wind over towards him in a burst. Kurt thought quickly and grabbed his stool, yanking it over to send him under the burst. A girl nearby cheered it on. This was getting out of hand. However, he wasn't going to back down from the challenge that presented. "If we're escalating this further, we should go to the duel room or whatever it is." he called from the floor. He didn't get up. "Don't want to get in too much trouble first day, huh?"

@LiteracyUnmatched @Silsa

'I like her too.'

'Correction, you like anyone who feeds you and compliments you.' Jonas pointedly ignored him and happily ate the bacon, submitting to the fussing and prodding of the strange girl. He smiled feeling Jonas's happiness through their bond. A monkey, obviously a familiar, bounded onto his shoulder and started chatting with Jonas. Sivent was surprised by the sudden weight, but Jonas immediately started chatting back. At the call of the mage, whose name seemed to be Zin, the monkey, Sonic, jumped back to his position. Zin apologized saying, "Hey no harm done right? Sorry about that he just gets a little enthusiastic."

"Yeah it's fine." Sivent replied. "Jonas is the same way, when he's not being fussed over and fed." He smiled to show that he didn't mind at all. He was pretty comfortable with this group.

Suddenly, there was a loud boom and the kid called Xavier flew into the center of the room. Sivent watched the proceedings as the boy stood up and apologized and he and the older man seemed to get into a mock fight. Returning to his food, Sivent wondered when they should leave. He was anxious to begin training and learning.

Cyn watched rapt with anticipation, her smile shining even if there was still a patch of frosting hanging from the left corner of her mouth. Of course that was easily remedied by a quick lick, further emphasis her hungry expression as she waited for the other party's reply to the challenge. The one who called her out seemed to be in another conversation, not that she cared, and she managed to stun the red haired temptress to silence, so that was a couple more things she was glad about. if she would just get to see this fight, that would be the, excuse the pun, icing on the cake.

Yes, just like the one that happened to make its way back onto her plate.

"Lets go, unless your going to chicken out." Xavier said before pausing. "Wimp enough." He laughed at his joke, before standing up and glaring at the man.

The staff regarded the new students with calm gazes, although all watched table seven with mixed looks. A few seemed to regard them as the trouble team, some watched with mild amusement, and the rest weren't sure what to think. However, before anything could go too far, the headmaster stood once again, and clapped twice.

Several silver figures walk out from the back of the room, and give each of the new students a small metal plate with a screen. "These are your Data-Slates. These will tell you when and how to get to where you should be next." With that, the older students all got up and left, leaving the first-years to figure their own way.

When they looked down, team seven would see that the Data-Slates said 'Assessment: Duel Room 7' and also displayed an arrow that would change as they walked, directing them to where they need go. The halls would take them through twists and turns, but eventually they would reach the assigned room, and walk in.

The room was blank, with a square grid on the floors and walls, completely empty.

"Welcome, team seven. I saw you were eager to begin, so I guess it's a good thing that you're here in assessment. I am Professor Volus, Combat instructor" A bold, enthusiastic voice pops from somewhere. "Today you'll be fighting in a wilderness area, against some of the weaker Tecnomatics. Good luck!"

"Oh, I almost forgot! Teamwork is-" The professor is cut off as the room molds and shifts into a mountain path, serene and calm, for a moment.

The sound of one of the most numerous Technomatics soon echoes about the area, The digitized baying of Cyhounds. The students, all arranged in a circle in the center of the path, are soon surrounded.

Cyhounds almost never hunt by themselves, so there was almost certainly something else lurking about, if the teachers wanted this to be authentic. But for now, all there was were Cyhounds... albeit a lot of them. No, wait... there was more. A trio of Ogres-Types. 1 Beater, one Bruiser, 1 Runner. All giants, all outfitted with guns and who knows what else.

And then came the Soldiers of the Technomatics, collectively known as hulks. Always a big thing, their looks changed, but they almost always relied on brute force. NOW it was like a battle with the Technomatics.

Sivent crouched, scanning the area. There were many enemies, and not many allies. Classic numbers disadvantage, and, to be honest, they didn't know much about their enemy. 'Jonas, how about you go check out the enemies for weak points. Stay at a distance and look for gaps and thin plating.' Sivent placed a barrier around Jonas to protect him from any ranged attacks.

'On my way.' Jonas flew off and Sivent quickly lost sight of him. Sivent then formed an Arcane Bow. The enemies weren't close enough yet for a blade, and he didn't want to face that entire army in front of him. Forming and nocking an arrow to the string, he took aim at one of the Cy-hounds and let it fly. The impact seemed to implode the hound's face and it fell to the ground. He frowned. That fell too easily. He shot another one, and it too collapsed. Those must not be very strong. As the enemies started approaching, he took an arrow and fired it at one of the Ogres.

'Jonas, you have anything yet?'

'Not yet, but I'm working on it.'

'Great.' Sivent looked around at his allies, "Anyone got any ideas?"

Results: 2 Cy-hounds gone, attempted strike at Bruiser, searching for weaknesses in the Ogres and Hulks.

@The Mythic Dragon

Kurt growls in anger. "Get behind me!" he yells to the other students, grabbing his staff and pressing the activation button, flicking the pieces into place. He takes up a defensive stance as the Cyhounds come at him. One leaps, and he swats it out of the air, crushing its body. The next one leaps, and he brings his staff around to block the bite with it. The Cyhound's jaws wrap around the staff, and Kurt lifts a foot to kick the Cyhound into the sky. It goes flying, and he sends it on its way with a forceful gust of wind, flying directly at a Hulk who was in the process of charging him. "Stay together! If they get between us, they'll cut us off from each other and surround us!"

@The Mythic Dragon

Xavier glanced around at the hordes of Techno-beasts. He glanced at Kurt as he shouted for them to come behind him, he nodded quickly jumping behind him and forming a ball of flames in his right hand, he threw it, before quickly forming a burst of wind and slamming it into a fireball which fed the oxygen into the flames. The flame grew and rushed greedily at the techno's and slammed into them frying their circuits.
