Fantasy Supernatural Teenage Drama

Jackie groaned. "I am so sorry," she said. The guard stopped, and gave her a look. "Oh. Should've known it would be you. Third time, Armstrong. You're coming with us." Jackie rolled her eyes, and stepped in line with the other two boys. Great. She was trying not to get in trouble this year...

Ryan looked at the teacher, "Are we dismissed? We're dismissed right?" He scanned the room then caught the teacher staring at a wall, "Yes! Dismissed! Peace out sir!" The teen walked out the room then returned thinking about what Miuna just experienced, "Come on Miuna let's go get some cookies!" Hopefully it would help her take her mind off of the darkness and the weird guy's actions.

Charlotte almost missed the bell, she was too busy thinking about other things that she almost fell asleep. She walked to her next class, she saw some of the younger students showing off their powers to their friends and fighting against them. Charlotte thought fighting to get popularity was really dumb but she acted like nothing happened but she stopped the fight by raising her hand and making the kids float, she saw the other students trying to get them down. Charlotte would take them down but only if they stopped fighting but even in the air they wanted to finish the fight

"Leave it to the teachers"

Alec grinned and held out a hand as they walked. "I'm Alec. And you are?" He asked. He wasn't all that upset about getting in trouble. After all, he'd practically walked into that fight. "Nice trick with the fire, anyway."

At the sound of "cookies", Miuna instantly perked up. "Sure," she accepted, leaving her dumbfounded classmates behind to follow Ryan out of the classroom, holding onto his sleeve so as not to get lost. There was already a crowd of people flooding the halls, going off campus for lunch or heading to the courtyard to hang out. "Do they have a bakery nearby?" Miu called to Ryan over the roar of the students' chatter, having already forgotten the incident.

Ryan shook his head, "I don't think so, but I've been able to establish some connections around here". He opened the kitchen door for Miuna, "Don't worry we won't get in trouble". The teen felt glad to somewhat lighten up her mood...or just forget about the whole incident. Ryan looked behind him as the halls started getting more and more crowded.

Miuna entered the kitchen, nodding gratefully to Ryan. She enjoyed all sweets, but cookies were at the top of her list. Picking a chocolate cupcake off of an abandoned platter, she turned to face Ryan. "What do you like?" Miu questioned, having to look up at him to meet his eyes. Why was everyone so much taller than her? Pushing the thought away, she took a bite of her treat while she waited for Ryan to respond.

Jackie grinned back, and shook Alec's hand. "Jackie. Hey." She gave a short laugh, and said, "Thanks, I guess. Just be glad I was just startled, and not mad- it's not a very 'nice' trick when I'm mad." She noticed his eyes were super-duper green. "You're the shapeshifter, right? The wolf. Pretty cool, man." She shot him a crooked smile.

Alec nodded towards the paw print tattoo on his hand. "Yeah. But I can do more than just a wolf. Just about any animal I want." He stuck his hands in his pockets as they walked across the campus. "You've had a fire issue twice before? Was it when the gym nearly burned down or was that someone else?" He asked curiously.

Ryan raised an eyebrow, "In terms of food?". He shrugged as he continued to walk through the kitchen, "I don't know...healthy stuff I guess, but cookies are good too!" The teen smiled when he found the baker. "RYAN!!!" The baker yelled and smiled back, "What would you like boy?" Ryan looked at Miu, "What cookies do you like?"

"That's admirable," Miu murmured, finishing the cupcake. The baker's volume took her by surprise, but she didn't mind it one bit. She liked flamboyant people, and they tended to like her back. "Any," she told Ryan, smiling at the two of them. "Whatever's easiest or already made."

Jackie winced. "Yep, that was me. A girl punched me in the stomach during a dodgeball game and I kinda... lost it?" She scratched her head. "Yeah, that was bad. I gave her second degree burns and everything." She shrugged. "Kinda satisfying though.... Shhh, don't tell anyone I said that. I'm supposed to be a relatively nice person. The first time was when I was in grade school level, so it wasn't that bad." She glanced at him. "I've become very... acquainted with the security over the years," she said, voice laughing.

The baker nodded and began to do his job, "Fifteen minutes eh? Go ahead and wait outside instead of in this giant tin can of deliciousness!" The baker was referring to the kitchen which contained stainless steel utilities. Ryan nodded then headed back into the hallway that now contained fewer students than before.

Miu trailed behind Ryan, picking up a napkin and wiping her hands before tossing it in the trash on the way out. "How long have you been here?" she asked, not having seen him before today. Then again, if she had shared any classes with him, she wouldn't have known anyways. It wasn't like she was ever in the right class. "Are you new?"

"You and me both. Two years ago was bad. But then, I don't think there was a kid who didn't go to the office that year." Two years ago the tensions outside the school had exploded with the ungifted humans lashing out. Fear and stress at the school had created the perfect environment for fights to break out constantly. Now it was under control- but only just.

The three students were herded into lobby, with the guy on one side of the room and Jackie and Alec on the other.

"Nah I've been here for seven years" Ryan replied. He looked around then located the clock with his eyes. Were they experiencing technical difficulties with the bell? Ryan used his hearing ability and noticed that some classes hadn't been dismissed yet while the other students began to roam freely. The teen was caught off guard when the bell suddenly rang. He clenched his fists then brought his hearing level back to normal. Ryan moved his hands to his head and leaned against the wall.

"Yeah... I don't know about you, but it seems pretty bad this year, too. I've already seen like four fights," she whispered to Alec as they walked into the lobby. God, she hated this place. It was stupidly grand and decorated and if she had the choice, she would burn it down. Probably not the best idea, but honestly, she had done them all a favor by burning down the gym. It was so much nicer now. She discreetly made a face at the guard glaring at her and Alec.

Concern flooded Miu's eyes when he stopped. "You okay?" she asked, stopping before she ran into him. "Did the bell hurt your head?" She looked around for someone with healing abilities to help them out. Now that she thought about it, she didn't know what Ryan's power was. It could've been something hearing related, which would explain it. She pressed the back of her hand against his forehead. "You're not warm," she informed him.

"I know. It's happening all over again. The gifted and ungifted arguments." Alec kept his voice low enough so the secretary wouldn't hear. "Honestly. They can keep punishing people, but it'll make it worse. Secluded as this school is, the violence came close last time and if it happens again..." Alec shook his head. They were kids. Teenagers. With a possible war hanging over their heads.

Jordan heard the bell signalling class was up. She didn't hear any replies from Rob during the rest of the class, so she assumed she had scared him away. Jordan was about to get up and she looked at Rob one more time and muttered, "Sorry. If it makes you feel any better, you won't have to worry about me for much longer, considering all kids have to take that telepathy class." With that she got up and walked out of the class, once again in a bad mood.

"It was terrible last time... I didn't know which side to choose, or what to think. I just ended up not talking to anybody, keeping a low profile. Guess that's why I'm such a loner now," Jackie said, almost bitterly. "Why can't people just, I don't know, stop fighting? It's so stupid." She sighed, and ran a hand through her fiery bangs. "Sorry," she muttered to Alec. "It was tough for everyone, you don't wanna hear me complain." She looked at him. "Everyone thinks I'm thirsty for a fight, you know? Because I'm fire. But I'd rather join a circus than a war." Jackie cocked her head. She needed to write that one down.

Ryan closed his eyes and stayed silent for a few minutes, "...I'm okay". He paused then laughed a little, "The bell was pretty loud". The baker popped outside the kitchen, "Gooooot it!" Ryan raised his arm blocking the door from hitting him. The door pushed back onto the baker who hit the wall, "Oh sorry boy!" The teen looked at the baker, "My apologies as well. I won't stand by the door next time. I usually don't. I just had a little pain for a bit". The baker smiled, "All is well Ryanito!" He handed him a plate of cookies, "Got to get back to work! Bye!" The baker slid back into the kitchen. "Thank you!" Ryan said as the door swung shut. The teen presented the plate to Miu, "It smells good".

"I've got nothing better to do or say. Complaining is just about all we can do now." Alec sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I can see that. But why join a circus? Think about the things you could do with fire. Now, me. If I joined the circus, they'd think they had the best animal trainer in the world."

Miuna gasped in delight, genuinely pleased. "I love you," she said to both Ryan and the cookies. "Thanks." Picking one up, she took a bite of the gooey treat and sighed at the savory flavor. "Let's sit." Without waiting for a response, Miu picked up Ryan's wrist and pulled him to the courtyard, where numerous stone benches resided. Plopping down on one, she turned to her companion curiously. "So you can hear things really loudly? Is that your power?"

Rob frowned and turned back as she left, then got up and went after Jordan, "Sorry, I just... Um when I get nervous I pop... Which is why I'm in that class." He looked at her, "plus my metal for blocks telepathy, I don't know why... I'm not.. I mean... Uh... I want to be your friend."

"Smooth, killer."
