Mackenzie smirked at Adelaide inquiry about the god. "You could say that, he comes and goes as he pleases; really he is a god." she slung a bag over her shoulder, still balancing the plate of food in one hand. "And I would say he's harmless, but he and his brother killed over four hundred people, then left Will in a dream state where he was hypnotized into trying to kill me." She grabbed another bag, thankfully the last, before turning towards the house. Seeing will was still within in and hopefully out of ear shot she spoke again.

"I'm counting on you to prevent him from doing anything... crazy." She watched Adelaide carefully. "He's angry, livid, with the god and I don't know if he plans on doing anything. But with Eli down he'll most likely go to you for help. I have a connection to the god, what ever I hear, think or say he knows: not that it stops me from thinking rather malicious things at times, but..." She gave a slight shrug, uncertain if she had over stepped some unknown boundaries from old girlfriend to new.

Adelaide's eyes flicked to the ground as Mackenzie mentioned the deaths Hypnos had inflicted and the state he had placed Will in. The man had told her all about New York during the walk to the house; Adele had heard all about the mysterious and inexplicable disaster on the news before Will contacted her, of course. But hearing about it firsthand was far more disturbing. She could feel the regret, guilt, and anger boiling up as he recounted the events.

Addy was surprised when Mac continued, asking her for help in reigning Will in. She stared at the woman, dumbfounded. William hadn't told her about the contingency she had put in place... the same one sitting in the trunk of her car back at the Clinic house. Adelaide could hardly tell her even if she wanted to; with her mental connection to Hypnos, doing so would jeopardize Mac and William both. Still, it wasn't as if she didn't agree with the woman's concerns. Will was obviously playing a dangerous game. So Adelaide did the only thing she could, locking eyes with Mackenzie and nodding with a straight face. "I understand. I'll keep an eye on him," she said quietly.

William stepped outside to see Mackenzie and Adelaide heading back in with the last of the bags, thankfully with no apparent hostility between the two. Will moved to gently take the food from Mac's hand before holding the door open for either of them. "Stake your claims now," he said with faux warning, gesturing toward the interior of the house.

Hades looked between Thor and the human as he listened to Thor speak about the 'help' that human provided. " If that was the case then I believe you have earned a reward. Tell me your name human, I wish to know the name of the man who help bring my wife to safety." Hades said gesturing for the human to come closer to him. An observant person would see something very strange within Hades's tunic. It seemed as if agonized faces would swell to the surface every so often only to be pulled back into the darkness. It would seem that even his clothing was used to punish damned souls. Hades waved his hand and a pillar of precious metals erupted at the foot of his throne. " If I recall platinum is quite valuable to humans correct? Take as much as you can carry."

As Hypnos waited for night fall he figured he might as well make it seem like he was there so he could carry on conversations and talk as needed. Thankfully making a projection of himself took next to no effort and his actual body could sleep in Erebos to regain its power. It was really a win-win situation for them. So this project of Hypnos would just be sitting on the couch waiting for Mackenzie and the lot to enter.

Ginny goes back to the barracks, hoping to find some of the hunters also heading in for the night so that she has someone to talk to. Or she could go to sleep, that god she encountered in her nap was quite the interesting character.

Joe had been ready for her to strike even if he didn't want to think she would. When Andy lunged he grabbed for the gun, his grip hadn't managed to tighten around it when the Werewolf strength shoved him back and up by the neck which caused it to clatter to the floor. She was talking emotionally and distracted while Joe reached for the silver knife under his pants leg, but the angle was awkward and due to the wall he was pinned against couldn't bend his leg to reach it. Abruptly he was released and before he could even say a word the world went black.

The man couldn't say how long he was out, when he came to in the apartment. Head spinning and a dry mouth made it feel like a bad hangover, then there was the fact that he was attached to a water heater via handcuffs. Joe groaned at the headache, sitting up and letting the back of his head rest against the wall. He wasn't dead, that was a plus. Andy had wanted help, but she ran, the teenager had blood on her hands which in turn put that blood on his hands. Joe had played this wrong, he'd come alone, and even if Chase wasn't available to come with him he could have gotten a partner at Vitae...then this would have been settled one way or another.

Twenty minutes later when he'd managed to get out of the cuffs and figure that not only Andy was gone but that she'd stolen his SUV. Joe returned the text to the girl , "Knocking someone out, handcuffing them, then stealing their car isn't how you ask for their help." Luckily she hadn't thought about the vehicle's GPS, Andy would have to ditch the truck if she didn't want to be tracked.

Emile sure liked to put off talks about the colony, but Chase wasn't in the mood for it either. "You realize we are reenacting last night, just on a larger scale with more people drinking." Chase mused, with the alcohol, food, no Vitae talk, it was very reminiscent. "We'll leave that talk for later, don't want to spoil the mood. Maybe later when you're a drunk mess I'll get you to talk." He spoke sarcastically with a smirk, though he suspected it would take a decent amount of alcohol to get Emile anywhere near that state. Chase had to admit, he was curious to see how the pack had fun.

Mackenzie appreciated Adelaide's assistance -whether she was actually going to give it or not, in the matter of Will not throwing himself at a useless cause. She didn't know what good it would be to end, trap or maim a god as it were. Though she was entirely aware that Solomon seemed to have the capabilities to do so; but Hypnos had already warned her to leave the man alone. She wished she could read Will better, to know if he were actually planning something or not; Aldelaide seemed trustworthy enough for the time being, but she didn't doubt for a second that she would help Will in what ever it was he needed her to do.

Mac headed back to the house gladly handing off the plate of food so she could better balance the bags between both arms instead. She rolled her eyes at Will's warning, she assumed there were plenty more bedrooms than people. "I don't think that'll be much of an issue." She continued on past him into the house and paused, sighting the vision of Hypnos on the couch, seemingly waiting for her. "Oh look: our first squatter." She dropped the bags where she stood, knowing without a doubt Hypnos would keep them occupied for a while.

"Bien oui," Emile remarked as Chase noted they were just repeating the night before. "Too much activité pour vous?" He knew the younger man would either understand he was being teased, or comment on the French, either way Emile would be amused. However Chase continuing on about getting Emile drunk make the man force his otherwise jovial features into a stern look. "Now, Loup Perdu, you make me.... Comment dit-on bu? Er. Drunk, oui. You make me drunk to take avantager of me?" He tisked, shaking his head but raising his bottle and taking a long drink regardless. "I thought your father teach you better, non?" It took everything within Emile to keep from smiling as he teased the newest pack member.

William frowned at Mackenzie's declaration of a squatter and leaned inside to take a look, already knowing who he would see. Sure enough, Hypnos sat on the couch, casually awaiting them. He clenched his jaw, stepping inside and walking past the god without a word to set the food down in the dining area.

Adelaide watched him cautiously as he moved; the barely-veiled hostility was practically radiating from him and she didn't need to have a gift to detect it. She turned back to look at Hypnos, focusing on the god. Even focusing her mind, she was incapable of reading the deity's thoughts just as with his Oracle. "Hello," she remarked to the unassuming god, her tone cool and impassive. Even if she wasn't fatigued, nothing she'd heard about the god thus far hadn't exactly endeared him to the witch.

Will stepped back into the foyer, regarding Hypnos briefly. "What do you need, Hypnos?"

Hypnos gave a gentle smile to the three humans who had begun setting up in their new home, " Ah William, ever the ray of sunshine I see. Well honestly it's not a matter of what I need as it is what YOU need. I know you have some questions for me and a little demigod told me about your friend's plight. I know of a way to help her, no strings attached I promise." Hypnos said giving a passive gesture to his own defense. " So by all means have a seat ask away. Honestly, this is the only way I can offer my help considering my Oracle still hasn't learned how to ask for it." Hypnos said with the thinly veiled nuisance to Mackenzie's thoughts of using forbidden magic. Then he turned his attention to the new woman in the group, " Greetings.... Adelaide," Hypnos said taking a moment to find her name within his memories, " A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm sure my two friends here have done a wonderful job introducing me already, but just in case, I am Hypnos. God of Sleep, dreams, and nightmares."

Eddie avoided eye contact with Thor as he felt him glare at his for speaking. After being addressed by Hades however, he politely approached him and his throne and cleared his throat, as if he was about to speak in a way that was unnatural to him. "My name is Edward, servant of the LORD. Although no reward is necessary, I could use this opportunity to be charitable once I get back. Thank you." Taking off his backpack, he began to scoop the pieces of platinum into it. Alator Alator St. Boethius St. Boethius

Mackenzie raised an eyebrow as Hypnos egged Will on; attempting to provoke him into what? She wasn't sure. She glanced back at Adelaide and nodded towards Hypnos. "Very humble, eh?"

She didn't expect the other woman to react as she and Will did towards the god, instead she moved into the living area and dropped onto a chair regarding the god over. "Really, if you know what I want then why make me ask? It's not like it's hidden from you." It was an honest question, at times it felt almost like Hypnos didn't want to help, that he was there to simply dangle the carrot in front of her to make her keep moving. "What can be done for Ash? Heaven will eventually come for her and I need to be able to protect her."

Chase would simply eye Emile suspiciously after the French terms, not understanding but the mans face gave away that he was just poking fun at Chase. "Using French against me isn't very fair." He wasn't bothered really though he'd admit to wishing he knew what had been said. Emile moved on to comment on Chase taking advantage of him with a rather amusing look that was a clear poker face considering the subject matter, this caused Chase to chuckle.

"One might say he taught me not to trust Werewolves either, especially the big bad Alpha's." Chase leaned backwards some with a grin as he crossed his arms over his chest, "Guess that means I'm just not not a very good listener. But if you happen to be drunk when we strike up a conversation how is that my fault?" Chase grabbed his cup and gave it a long swig. "Besides, the drinking was your idea both times was it not? So I should probably be the one wary of you trying to take advantage of me should I not? I mean you did technically get me into your bed once already." Chase was ruthless as he winked at the other man teasingly. Chase had a smirk on his face as he changed his attention to the food on the table. Emile was good at keeping his composure, Chase witnessed this at the stream when he called Alpha out on the nickname to try and get a reaction to no avail. But every man, wolf or otherwise, had a breaking point and Chase was bound to find it one day even if today wasn't that day.

Emile could not hold his stoic gaze as Chase referred to him as the Big Bad like here some monster from a fairy tale. He chuckled then, taking another sip of his beer as Chase continued on in his charming way to talk around what he really wanted from Emile. The Alpha was more than aware that he had told Chase they would talk about Vitae today and Emile had truthfully avoided it. He knew, or at least a part of his suspected Chase was here as a double agent, why else leave you family behind? And if he turned over information about Vitae and it confirmed his suspicions he would be forced to act on it; send him away? Kill him? He wasn't certain he could do either.

Chase roused him from this thoughts as he commented about the bed. Emile finished his beer in two long swallows before speaking. "Ca c'est toi. You chose to sleep dans ma bed. I only offer." He was rising and leaning over the table to grab a couple more beers. Soon followed by a plate where he piled an array of food from the table. He turned back to Chase moving a second glass and the bottle of whiskey he was drinking. "Take, we go." He collected his plate and beers hoping Chase would understand to bring the two glasses and whiskey with him. "We talk about Vitae." Emile nodded towards his cabin, away from the pack, where they could have some privacy.

Adelaide inclined her head toward Hypnos in a simple greeting. She was surprised by the dynamic he had with William and Mac. The former was barely civil, while his own Oracle was just short of flippant. It wasn't what she'd expected, to say the least. She sat down at the table.

Will crossed his arms as he continued to regard Hypnos skeptically. "How do you plan to keep Ash safe?"

Hypnos got up from the couch he had been sitting at and joined the others at the table. " The reason I make you ask is because while I may know what you want just giving it to you isn't the best way to handle the situation. Humans must be given the opportunity to decide their own fates. Now I know that may seem ridiculous given the amount of godly tasks that have been asked of you, but even when my brother was threatening to destroy the Colony you had the right of choice. If you had refused to do anything there wouldn't have been a thing he could have done to you. The only reason we were allowed to execute the humans within that building was because of their use of forbidden magic and their actions against a goddess.

Anyway I'm getting off topic, As for helping Ash, I personally can't do much. Most of my power is going to keeping the First Sin asleep. I could make copies of Ash around the world, disguise her, put some angels to sleep who come after her, but that would be a never ending battle with the heavenly host and one that would result in Ash running for the rest of her life. Something sure none of us want. The solution I was thinking of is a simple one. Make sure the angels can't leave heaven in the first place."
NanLia NanLia Safton Safton

Mackenzie glanced between the three seated at the table once Hypnos finished speaking, remaining quiet as she considered what he had said. "Well," She watched Hypnos carefully as she continued. "As you just said that you couldn't do more than just disguise her and make them run around in circles I would imagine locking the angels in their room would require dealing with an bigger and potentially badder god than yourself. So you can go ahead and just stop right there. I am not interested in getting into bed with another god, thank you."

She leaned back in her chair, wincing slightly as the sutures rubbed against it's back. "We already know it's possible to remove the Grace from a Nephilim; I'm going to look down that route more first. Besides, if that thing gets out I would imagine the Holy Army would be an asset not to piss off."

Hypnos nodded as Mackenzie made her decision. " Very true it would take a god much more powerful than I am, but as I said, the solution comes with no strings attached. The Colony's latest quest for the gods was just recently completed, and Hades will be coming up to reward the Colony for your help. All you need to do is to use that reward to ask him to protect her from the heavenly host, or to lock the gates of heaven." Hypnos explained as he looked between all three of them. He wanted them to have all the necessary information before making their decision, but it was there decision. " If you want me to go ahead and mask her presence to the angels I can do so. Just say the word."
NanLia NanLia Safton Safton

William nodded. "These are angels, Hypnos -- not defenseless people in an office building," he remarked without missing a beat. "I don't know if I'm betting on you and Hades in that little dust-up. I'm with Mac -- as long as Ash's child has its Grace, it'll be a target for Heaven or otherwise. Anything before then is a stopgap. Besides, we may need angelic assistance when it comes to the First Sin. Say what you will about Alaric, he made us surviving New York possible."

William turned to see Adelaide shooting him a pointed glare, prompting him to sigh. "...but if it's no strings attached and we can trust you to keep your word this time... maybe we'll consider it as a last resort," Will said quietly, turning to glance at Mackenzie for confirmation.

Hades. Mackenzie cringed at the thought that that god would have anything to do with Ash and her child. She thought nothing of William's justified rant until she saw him lock eyes with Adelaide; clearly she still had a decent influence on the man given he softened his voice and sounds even reasonable at the end. He stated they could trust Hypnos again when they had fallen prey to this before. She had trusted the god and ended up the reason why those people; guilty and innocent, had died.

"I can't." She said stiffly. "This is Ash." as though that would make enough sense. "I'll find a way." She promised, mostly to herself. She would not rely on Hades or any other god to make sure she was safe. She knew of a way; Will was proof enough it did work. She glanced to Hypnos then. "Please, disguise her until I can work this out."

Chase watched Emile carefully as the Alpha told him they'd talk now, as he grabbed up some things to take with them. Chase's attempt to get a reaction out of the other man falling flat with a simple reply from Emile. He'd admit this was a talk that he wanted to have but Emile made it clear they were to enjoy the night so the sudden change caught Chase off guard. "You're sure?" He'd question, though already grabbing the glasses and whiskey along with some more food to shove in his mouth and chew along the way.

Once he was up he walked along with the other man towards the cabin. "What made chyou change your mind?" He'd ask, attempting to ask the question around the food currently in his mouth.

William looked Mackenzie in the eye as she delivered her almost pained reply. He nodded without hesitation, giving her a reassuring smile. He trusted her judgement implicitly. If she had a plan, he would back it. Hopefully Hypnos's little visit would reassure him that she wasn't straying too far off the path.

Adelaide turned toward Hypnos, pursing her lips. "It seems you have your answer, Hypnos. We'll handle Ashley-May's situation. Any passive assistance you could provide in the meantime would be appreciated."

Hypnos nodded as his friends came to their decision. " Very well, then passive help is all I will do unless you ask otherwise. Be advised though, Hades will be coming to the Colony in about a week to offer the award. So you've got some time before making any permanent decisions. Other than that I suppose you should let your council think on what they might want. If it's urgent enough Hades may be willing to send it ahead of his arrival." Hypnos explained laying all the cards on the table for once. " Now I've said my piece, is there any questions any of you want to ask me?" Hypnos asked all of them.

Emile lead the younger man back towards his cabin, but as they approached instead of going inside he simply too a seat on the stair case that lead up to the porch, setting the food and drink down. He motioned for Chase to sit with him. "We do parce que you want to know. You want to know about Vitae. So," He opened his hands in a gesture. "You ask, I answer." It was time, sooner rather than later, for Emile to determine the trustworthiness of Chase. For better or worse; the man was persistent and they were only days away from when they would take Vitae; if they didn't do this now then he would never know if Chase were actually committed to this or not.

Emile opened one of the beer he brought with him and opened both, offering one to Chase as he came to sit with him, the other he took a long drink from. The platter of food would sit between them, Emile had grabbed an assortment of what was to offer for the both to snack on while they spoke. He knew there was some time before the night festivities started; games the pack played all through life.

She knew of only one way to be rid of Grace within the unborn Nephilim and that was Mur. She had little doubt the demon would make a deal one way or another at the chance of getting his hands on another Grace; but at what cost? Obviously the demon couldn't be trusted; however he was a trade demon, he was bound to the deal and given how powerful he was she doubted he had every broken one. She idly wondered if there was an alternative, another demon that could be as powerful as Mur and he could deal with. Hypnos asked if she they had any questions but she slowly shook her head, honestly surprised the god hadn't been more persistent in them accepting an offer from Hades.

"I have nothing to ask." She said quietly, glancing between Will and Adelaide before rising from the table and moving to grab her and Ashley-May's bags. The house was massive, yes, but there wasn't a change she wasn't going to be sharing a room with Ash; until she found find a resolution she didn't want Ash out of anyone's sight for long. Without another word she headed off left side of the house in search of a room to drop their stuff off into.

Chase took a seat three steps below the stair Emile had sat on, the man turning to his right and propping the right leg on the same step he was sat on while his left leg on the lower step. The cups and whiskey he placed on the step between them so that they'd both have access to it. Chase took a deep breath when Emile essentially told him to ask whatever he wanted but he knew there had to be an agenda behind it. There were plenty of things he could ask, different ways to go about it.

"Someone might have mentioned that you guys don't plan on hurting anyone going in...so what exactly do you plan on doing to Vitae once the pack is in? Why even make the public claim that you'll be attacking on the next full moon?" It was a start.

Emile smirked as Chase dove in, though his question actually surprised him. "Morgan." He grumbled under his breath knowing that she would have told Chase and by party Brody had told her something most of the pack was unaware of. He was suddenly thankful he had brought this conversation away from the pack. He set the beer down for Chase to take freely as he considered this. "We..." he frowned then shook his head. "I do not want to hurt humans." He spoke slowly, not wanting to use any French terms; no wanting Chase to misunderstand him. "I want hunter free. His family free. But Vitae to live. We need ally for what come. Dead Vitae makes us all weak."

He leaned back against the rail, picking at some of the meat on the plate to munch on, waiting to see if Chase had any follow up questions.

William watched as Mackenzie left, giving Hypnos a nod before gesturing for Adelaide to follow. "C'mon, let's find our rooms." Adele nodded, standing up walking after him as they exited the foyer and moved toward the right side of the house. Once they were behind the corner and well out of earshot, Adelaide turned to glare at Will with raised eyebrows. "I thought you and Mac would be taking the master."

Will grimaced. "It's... not that simple. Mackenzie and Ash bunk together."

"There's more than enough rooms for everyone to--" Adele started. "You're worried about Ash."

William nodded. "Until we know for sure that she's not in any danger, I think it's for the best that she rooms with someone she trusts that can keep her safe."

"Fair enough." Adele said as she began to turn and inspect the nearby rooms. Will paused, knowing that he and Adelaide still had business to discuss that would be too dangerous to do so openly with their current visitor. Luckily, William and Elijah both had established a system for getting Adelaide's psychic attention so that they could communicate discreetly. It was generally a one-way discussion, of course.

Noella. William focused his thoughts onto the word, repeating it over and over in his mind like a mantra. Immediately, Adelaide stiffened slightly, keeping her back turned to William. Taking that as a sign to continue, he thought: Were you able to bring the items I asked about? Adelaide continued to convincingly mime looking inside each of the doorways with faux consideration, but her left hand curled into the unmistakable sign of a thumbs-up. Good. I'll text you later so we can meet at your car. Once again, her hand signaled almost imperceptibly as she sighed. "I'll take a look at the other rooms now. I'm not presumptuous enough to claim the master just yet," she said, continuing to play the part.

As Addy made her way to one of the other bedrooms on the left side of the house, Will tracked down Mackenzie, leaning on the door frame of the room she'd chosen. "I assume you're going to keep bunking with Ash," he said, with no trace of judgement or disappointment in his voice. "You two can take the master, you know. Much roomier, private bath, walk-in closet..." he said. He paused, hesitating in the threshold before quietly adding, "...But if you ever feel like slumming it on this side of the house, my door will be open."
