Ashley-May was satisfied with the astonished and embarrassed look that played out on Will's features. She was more than sightly confused by Mackenzie's almost pleased look, she certainly would have thought she would be astonished too given she'd caught them almost in the act. The fact that Mac looked almost happy that Ash had said anything about it baffled her to no end. She smiled to Adelaide as she was thanked for keeping Will humble and Eli alive, she gave a slight shrug, about to tell her that no thanks was needed on either part when the woman erupted into congratulations. She blinked in confusion, "Thank you."

Mackenzie had been delighted to hear Ash's brazen comments to get her revenge on Will disturbing her sleep, only for the fact that it made her feel just a little bit better about Will's ex having witness it. Yes, she admitted, likely the lowest thing she had ever been satisfied about, but she'd own it. She smirked hearing Adelaide comment on Eli and Mac could only agree, the man was a pain; certainly when he was sent out after you like a guard dog reclaiming lost possessions. She could see Ash's confusion when Adelaide started to talk about the child to be, "She's a psychic." She filled in for Ash; now recalling she hadn't even told her that this woman was coming, or who she was to the two men. She moved slightly closer to Will so she could collect he tiny pink gift bag he'd brought from the house. Holding out to Ash she'd lean in and give her partner a peck on the cheek. "This is from us." It included Eli, so far as she was concerned.

Ash glanced to the gift bag with equal parts caution and curiosity. She pried open the top of the bag and peered within; nothing dangerous -god only knew what Mac would think was an appropriate gift, she removed the box containing the minuscule air jordans and she squeak. "Oh my goodness! These are the cutest things ever!" Tear filled eyes turned up to Mac, smiling, but then looked to Will. "This had to have been you, thank you guys so much."

Elijah watched Ashley-May's obvious excitement at the gift, her emotional reaction bringing a smile to his face along with that now-familiar warmth in his chest. The sight was adorable... and more than a little endearing. He scoffed at the idea that William had been the one to pick out the shoes, but stayed silent.

Will shook his head. "Afraid I can't take that credit. It was all Mac's idea," he said, taking Mac's hand in his own. "I think she might have a bigger soft side than she lets on," he added teasingly.

Adelaide watched the display with a smile, standing to the side. She didn't need to be a psychic to know that Ashley-May was overjoyed with the gift, though she still couldn't get past the feeling she was getting from the woman's child-to-be. Her eyes turned to see Will's hand in Mac's and for just a moment she felt a tinge of regret, before she dismissed it just as quickly. William was happy and she had already moved on long ago. Still, she wouldn't be truly comfortable until she got to know Mackenzie better. The woman's ability to effortlessly defeat her gift was admittedly a bit frustrating, commitment to personal privacy be damned.

William glanced down at the tiled floor, his smile slowly fading as he looked back at Mackenzie and gave a single nod before clearing his throat... quietly this time. "As much as I hate to spoil things, there are some things you -- all of you -- need to know. Mac and I had a few... encounters while we were out."

Elijah frowned at his partner's unmistakably grim tone. He glanced at the clock with surprise. "You two were gone a while. What happened?"

Andy arrived at her little apartment and opened the door finding someone sitting on a chair with a whisky in hand, "You know, you should call someone before you barge into their home." She was slightly intimidated as she placed her bag on the floor an made her way to the kitchen where she poured herself a glass of whisky. "Well you should know not to leave the door unlocked love. Anyway I'm not here to argue about an intrusion as you so call it..." The man took a swig from the glass before quietly putting it on the table, the man's calmness awfully intimidating. He stood up and offered his hand revealing an anti-possession tattoo on his wrist, "Jacob Parchment. I'm an old friend of your father's."

spiky-hairstyle-1.jpg

"Andy -"

"Oh I know who you are darling..." Jacob grabbed her wrist and injected a small amount of Silver Nitrate, but not enough to kill her. She screams out in pain before he pushes her into a chair binding her hands and feet, circling around her like a shark with a silver knife in his hand. "I know what you did the other week Andy," Her eyes widening instantly, she saw a smirk spread across his face. "Oh yes I think you know exactly what I'm talking about, poor poor Emily. She was just about to graduate too." A cloth in her mouth stopping her from talking as she hissed in pain when he trailed the knife on the surface of her arm. She refused to turn into a monster again, unless she desperately had to. She tried speak but her words were muffled, "What was that sweetheart?" A death glare going straight his way at the mention of "sweetheart"

"Come on, I know you can turn into a were wolf so do it. Try and kill me, eat my heart." Andy shook her head profusely tears starting to form in her eyes until she felt the silver knife slit some of her upper arm, she screamed into the cloth the tears falling out of her eyes. "You know, I quite like you Andy. Just a girl trying to live a normal life, I know how hard it can be.... But the thing is.... You're a monster.... And I am a hunter.... So you know what that means right?" He leaned in closer to her face, she closed her eyes in pain and head butted him. "Bitch!" He slapped her face and injected more Silver Nitrate into her, she eventually loses consciousness. He left her taking all of the things with him, but leaving a note 'You are lucky you got off this time Next time you won't be so lucky -Jacob'

Chase noted the smile on Emile's face as he asked if he'd made the promise. It was hard to tell if Emile realized Chase was now onto him with the subtle, yet not subtle, flirting he'd been doing but the man continued with that damn knowing smile. He was half tempted to feign interest for an anonymous member of the pack just to see how the Alpha would react but the last thing he wanted was to start fake drama so he dropped that idea.

Chase simply stared back intently, "It came up in conversation, she felt it was important to know." The man shrugged allowing his gaze to sweep up and down the tables with pack members, elbows resting on the table and hands leaned towards each other with fingers intertwined. "I don't exactly plan on spending life alone," Chase's scanning ended back on Emile, "And you never know who might pop up." It was clear Emile saw it as a game, and it was one Chase could play too.

Both Thor and the Leviathans seemed to be unfazed by him and his gun, which caused a few pangs of panic to appear in his chest, before he swallowed them and said a prayer to himself. Eddie waited for one of the Leviathans to move, but he was surprised to see Thor use his distraction as an opportunity to strike. The force of the fight knocked Eddie over, a shot discharging into the ceiling as he fell. He groaned and stood up to see Thor as he was before the fight even took place. "Yea... People will definitely come to investigate after that." A sigh of relief escaped him as he looked at the bag with the leviathan's heads. He followed Thor out of the building while still being lost in thought. "What were those things? And more importantly, what could I have done if you weren't here?" NanLia NanLia Alator Alator

Christopher was enraged at the gods. Once more the humans of Vitae were put into peril -that could have been avoided, for what? Another lost damned wife. The next time a god requested something of him he was going to tell them to stuff it. He glared as Thor exited the building with the body and bagged heads. "None of that is coming to Vitae, and neither is she." He pointed towards Hades's wife still standing uselessly next to the car between Bruce and Aiden. "We are done risking ourselves for this. You didn't need us, we were pointless here. Send us home or don't, we'll figure it out." He turned to his SUV and got in the drivers side, slamming the door behind him. Bruce and Aiden glanced at each other, but neither wanting to get stuck half way across the country, were soon climbing into the back seat of the vehicle.

Emile smirked, appreciating Chase joining the fun. The mans future was unpredictable; unstable, so far as Emile was concerned. When done with Vitae the pack would return North to their home and him with it, that was without a doubt. But Chase had family within Vitae, and he doubted he would part with his father so causally, and even less likely stay among wolves. "Bien." He nodded. "Most hunter do not want family. Do not want eh.." He waved his hand about mid-height. "children, mate." He gave a shrug. "Good that you do." In his experience those that didn't want a future with someone else often didn't care about having a future at all.

The cooks, the very same Emile had been siphoning food from, had moved from their work stations and looked to be nearly done. One signaled Emile and he nodded. "Look like dinner is ready." He grinned once more to Chase. "Allons-y" He called and those milling around and relaxing were now moving. The other tables were being cleared and moved into a pattern, Emile rising from the table they sat at nodding to Chase to pick up the other end and help him carry it. The tables were placed in a 'U' shape, chairs moved to those that did not have benches attached already. The pack started seating themselves around the tables, it didn't seem like in any particular order, but Morgan took Chase by the elbow. "Come sit with me." She lead him towards the head able, where Emile and Malcolm were settling in.

Ashley-May was shocked to hear that the tiny pink shoes had been picked by Mackenzie; she had never thought the woman would ever select something like this for a child, not matter whose it was. Will mentioned that there was a softer side of Mac but clearly it was only brought out by him. A slight pang of jealousy: she was more than happy for the two of them finding one another and clearly doing great things for each of them. She only wished that she could have done the same for Mac.

She frowned hearing Will talk about encounters while they were out, she glanced between the two of them. "What happened?"

Mackenzie gave Will's hand a reassuring squeeze, but took a moment to step towards the door and push it closed; what was about to be said was for them only. "Murehaunon." She said simply, she watched Ash's face turn to an expression of horror. "He knows we're here, and he knows about the Nephilim." She looked to Eli and Addy, "He's a demon Ash and I handled a few years ago in New York." She was not about to give out details of what that meant. "He's been hunting down Ash since; every opportunity to get at her. We lost him a few years ago, guess he's caught up." She looked back to Ash, reached out to take her hand. "He can't get you inside the colony, Hypnos has it warded. And now the Beast is too, so he can't track you while you travel; we'll deal with him." She left it open for Will to reveal his newly found information or not.

Bang! Reload, check, aim, breathe, bang! Ginny is getting used to the rhythm of handling the gun. She's pretty good with it, considering she's never done this before. Having enhanced eyesight helps with that.

Her blue eyes are narrowed as she keeps going, remembering all the times she's been at the receiving end of such a weapon.

Adelaide's eyes went wide at the mention of Nephilim, quickly realizing just what it was about Ashley-May and her pregnancy that felt so... different. She had never felt an angelic presence and heard of Nephilim only in lore... to be standing in the presence of a woman carrying one was the last thing she expected to happen to her today.

Elijah turned toward Ash, fist clenching involuntarily at the hem of his sheet at the mention of a demon hunting her. It was the last thing she needed right now and it only made him wish more intently that he could be up on his feet to help keep her safe in the meantime. He looked to Will, "What kind of demon are we dealing with here?"

Will crossed his arms. "Dealmaker, definitely high on the hierarchy. More juice than any Soldier or Crossroads demon we've dealt with before."

Adelaide watched as Will finished speaking, his eyes cast downward. She could feel his confliction, his hesitance. "What is it, Will?" she asked softly.

Hendrix sighed with resignation. "There's something else. Mur knew me."

Elijah frowned. "Not one of ours... from Afghanistan, then?"

Will shook his head slowly. "This isn't the first time he's gone after a Nephilim for their power. Last time he got what he wanted, he nearly wiped out the Pack and Franklin's Nest. Chances are he plans to do the same thing again -- he wanted me to trade Ash for help dealing with the Pack," he said, giving Ashley-May a sympathetic glance.

"How did he get ahold of the last Nephilim's Grace?" Adelaide asked.

"Because my mother offered it to him." Will said impassively.

"What?" Elijah said, his expression blank.

Will nodded solemnly. "Mur hit me with that, too. My father was an angel. My mother traded her soul and my Grace to make me human and keep me hidden from Heaven," he explained quietly.

"You're sure?" Eli asked, eyes wide.

William nodded. "The math adds up."

"Will..." Adele murmured, stepping forward to wrap her arms around him, hugging him tightly. He returned the hug with his free arm before pulling away.

"It doesn't matter. It's in the past," he began, with more confidence than he felt. "What matters now is keeping Ashley-May safe... from Heaven and Hell both."

Mackenzie released William's hand as Adelaide stepped into hug him, feeling the awkwardness returning she looked away to focus on Ash. "Which brings up more issues." This wasn't something she and Will had discussed earlier; she wanted him to focus of keeping himself together and not worry about what she had pulled from the other demon. "We managed to trap one of Mur's subordinates. He was willing to give up some vital information." She bit her lip before continuing. "Turns out the pack is the least of our worries, something worse is coming. Someone scouting for us let us know that the pack is here because of what is coming. Something called the First Sin. It's a monster, a demon maybe? He wasn't really sure, but God locked it away in the Abyss after Adam and Eve were excommunicated from Eden. Apparently it has been siphoning power from human sins and growing stronger to the point now where it almost has the strength to break free."

She glance to Will before continuing. "The pack seems to think there is no way to stop it, and that's why it's been expanding for years; I had never heard of it before a few nights ago. Hypnos is weakening. I can hear what he hears, what he thinks, how he feels. There was a night he went to the Underworld, spoke to another god. Hades maybe, about the Abyss not being able to hold the First much longer. Whatever it is it scares even them."

She shifted her stance, to lean against the wall. "I have wards, Ash, that I'm going to make for you. You need to keep them on you all the time. They'll hide you from supernatural things, keep you safe from being tracked that way. And I left ... instructions for Will, on how to recreate them."

Ashley-May frowned, it was a lot to take in all at once, First Sin, gods weakening. The last part made her wonder. "Where will you be, if he needs to know how to make them again." She watched her partner carefully. "What's the rest of if Mac?"

Of course Ash would be the one to see through her, as she was quickly gearing up a statement that was close to the truth but not quite all the details but sighed and shook her head. "Hypnos made it clear if I used the wards I gleaned from him again he would put and end to it. End to me. He told me the wards were not for me or my kind, dangerous to use." She shrugged slightly. "Its worth it. To make sure you're safe. At some point he will see me more of a liability. Gods have killed their Oracles in the past for less."

William had remained silent as Mackenzie explained the nature of her contingency and the reason for it. He felt a cold hand grip his heart at the thought of it, but he forced himself to keep quiet. Will hated to condone the plan in the slightest, but he knew Mac would proceed with or without his approval -- and she wasn't exactly doing it for trivial reasons.

Elijah had leaned back in his bed, raising a hand to his temples. He could hardly process the information he'd been supplied with, between Will's origins and the existence of a threat that eclipsed that of the Pack many times over.

Adelaide had wrapped her arms around herself, biting her lip as she listened. "Anything else?" she asked quietly.

William nodded. "Chase -- our source on the inside of the Pack -- confirmed their fears of the First Sin. He said they've been surprisingly cordial so far; they see their efforts as a liberation. They accused the Council of holding a Pack member and their family against their will. They also have an infiltrator somewhere in the Colony -- whoever it is isn't on the Council, but we don't know much more than that."

"Not a small list of suspects... but luckily we have quite the investigator on our bench now," Elijah said, inclining his head toward Adele.

fff_zps4rxngdyd.png

"Yeah but I'm not just a hunter." Chase replied just before the food was ready. It was true that many hunters didn't want a family for fear of what might happen, Chase wouldn't pretend he hadn't thought about it happening as well. He had to think about not only the monsters out there but hunters as well, if any of them managed to catch his trail and assume whoever he was with was also a Werewolf.

One call from the Alpha and suddenly the pack was moving. He and Emile carrying one of the tables to the rather obvious table pattern they had going. Afterwards he sort of stood back to get an idea of what the pack was doing as fat as seating and giving out the food. That was until Morgan caught his arm and led him along, clearly heading towards the higher ranking table that already had Emile and Malcolm seated at it. Chase didn't protest, "Sorry about that." Chase said with a humorous smile mentioning to what had just sent the female away from them moments ago, "I couldn't resist."

Chase watched the rest of the pack situated and took their seats at the tables whilst taking his own seat alongside Morgan. He had the feeling that Emile was going to be giving a speech at some point during this dinner. Chase merely hoped he wouldn't be put on the spot too harshly, he was more or less the guest of honor for today.

Ashley-May slowly shook her head, looking between the four others within the room. "Did you just say Chase is your source?" If he's with the pack.... She turned to look at Eli, shocked and worried; he was a wolf! She assumed both Mac and Will knew but seeing Eli unfazed by the details clearly he had too. "You let me talk about setting him up, about finding him a match and said nothing." It wasn't anger more... annoyance. Obviously if Mac hadn't killed the man then he was to be trusted, and she would only assume his father too. "So what's the plan? We know for sure something worse than the pack is coming, and that the Council is stopping someone from leaving. Even if we found them, what do we say?" They were running out of time the pack was due to come after Vitae is just a couple of days.

Mackenzie slowly shook her head. "If we can find the hunter that wants to leave, figure out where his family is kept and free them.... maybe the pack will relent. Let Vitae alone." She gave a slight shrug. "Chase seems to think they are approachable, in that sense. I disagree, I've been hunting them for years, and I'm sure the only reason why they're playing the part for him is because he's a wolf." She glanced to Adelaide. "Can you pick out supernatural beings? Chase said there wasn't another wolf, but what if there is a witch in her somewhere?" She turned her attention to Will. "That would explain both the pack having inner knowledge and Mur." She knew it was a stretch, but the only thing she had going.

Morgan shrugged slightly as she took her seat at the main table with Chase at it's end, he may have been a guest, but the pack still had their positions. "I should have known you'd say something like that. Malcolm says you have a sharp tongue." She smirked. At the tables center sat Emile Malcolm on his direct right, followed by herself then Chase, to the other side was Brody and two other wolves that had been on the hunt with them. Once everyone was seated those that had not been part of the hunt started delivering plates of food to the table, leaving trays behind for the pack to take seconds. Once the hunters had been fed they collected their own food and started to eat.

A short while later one of the hunters rose, walked around the formed tables to stand at its center. He waited, until Emile acknowledged him and then he spoke. "Cha'Kwaina." The pack chuckled, as did Morgan and Emile, but the Alpha shook his head and the man was dismissed to return to his seat. Morgan leaned close to Chase and spoke softly. "This is your naming ceremony, the pack does this whenever we have a birth, or a new member join. The rest of the pack gives you a name based on your personality." She nodded towards the now seated wolf at the opposite end of the table. "That was one who cries." She snickered again. "I am Aleshanee: she who plays."

Elijah shrank away from Ashley-May's scolding. It hadn't been his intention to withhold the news about Chase from her. To be honest, he was surprised to hear that she wasn't already aware. He made a mental note to apologize to her later... a lot of that going on these days.

Adelaide nodded in reply to Mackenzie's question. "Most. Some are capable of blocking me out, but that will be a clue in and of itself I imagine."

Will cocked his head. "It's as good a place to start as any. A witch would be capable of passing all of the tests to get in without any help on the inside... and they wouldn't smell any different than the rest of us. A witch behind our lines isn't something we can afford to risk--"

"Present company excluded..." Elijah remarked with a glance at Adelaide, earning him a roll of her eyes.

Will continued on, undaunted, "Aside from whatever they could be passing on to the Pack and Mur, hex bags could sabotage our defenses from the inside."

"I'll keep an eye out for them, but an in-depth search across the Colony will take some time even for me," Adele said.

After a few hours Andy woke, fully healed but enraged, she was trying everything in her power to not go out on an angry rampage for hearts. She broke through the silver cuffs hissing a little in pain, she was looking through her bag to find her phone throwing it to the floor when it wasn't in there. She felt it in her jumper and took it out texting Joe back, 'Where ever suits, but I need to meet you asap'

She left her phone at on the bench and walked out into a nearby woods, she was in her wolf form and needed a heart, there were some campers nearby and she could sense their hearts. She doesn't want to eat the hearts but the temptation is their since she ate a few before. She could also sense a deer nearby, but she needed a human heart this time.

She walked around the campers a little trying not to startle them, she just needed one for now. She waited until one of them left following him deeper into the woods clearly intoxicated and was talking to himself. The urge to kill him was right there but she really didn't want to do it. She changed herself from a wolf to werewolf, the camper now knowing he is not alone. Andy climbed into the tree and stood over the drunk man before lifting him up and killing him, eating his heart. A loud scream echoing through the woods, the body hitting the ground as she ran off.

When one of the hunters spoke the phrase or word to Emile and some started chuckling, Chase simply kept a straight face out of confusion. He had no idea what was said even involved him until Morgan started talking to him, Naming Ceremony? Of course nobody had warned him it was coming up, or even existed for that matter. Not to mention the fact that he wouldn't have a say in it.

"Alright she who plays, so what did chuckles just suggest?" Chase asked, and considering the response to the name he had a feeling it wouldn't be the most appealing of names. Though now he couldn't help but wonder what some of the others were, like Emile or Malcolm. If only he could have cast a vote for brooding black bear for Brody.

2014JackColeman_Getty146226664170614.jpg

It took hours before he'd gotten a reply from Andy, he'd assumed the girl was busy with work or something. After he'd read the reply Joe rubbed at his eyes, tired and lightly frustrated. There was an audible sigh from the man as he considered his options, not wanting to particularly take off in the event something happened to Chase and he was needed here. But on the other hand he wouldn't be going too awful far. Joe typed out the reply slowly, I'll try to be there within a few hours.

Joe made his way from the barracks to the parking area to grab the vehicle, then drove to the gate to leave the colony. Andy had never asked for to see him before, it felt rather out of character for the young werewolf. They'd stuck to the texts and phone calls up until now and those came on rare occasions every so often. The fact that she wasn't explaining why bothered him the most, and with everything that was going on in the surrounding area's he couldn't help but wonder if a hunter or a pack had found her.

Ashley-May did not like where this was headed, towards a literal witch hunt. "While I get we need to figure out what's going on, and who's handing out information about Vitae, we need to be cautious. Mac like two days ago those hunters thought you were a wolf sympathizer because of your ties to Borseti, if we're not carefully and something gets out, who know what can happen." She bit her lip, trying to come up with something as an alternative. "I don't know if we'll have time to single someone out before then, either way. And even if we do, what are the odds that the Council is going to listen either."

Mackenzie glanced to Will briefly, Ash had pretty much pegged the on-going issue. "Well," Mac started, she may as well just tell them what had happened. "Apparently the Council wanted to out me today." She wouldn't get into the details, no need to worry Ash any more than necessary. "It failed, obviously, but you're right. I need to keep my head low for now."

Morgan's smirk spread slightly as Chase inquired what name was suggested. "One who runs." She laughed quietly, looking up in time to see another hunter approaching. From where he had been seated the other's sitting near him were cat-calling, shouting out items in French that Morgan did not think she needed to translate. Once more the man was made to wait, standing and attempting hush his colleagues. Once Emile was done speaking with Malcolm he nodded to the hunter. He cleared his throat and spoke. "Kaliska." he looked rather nervous, turning a glance occasionally towards Chase. This time the pack spoke quietly among themselves, some nodding others disagreeing. Emile seemed to consider and let the man stand aside; his name not rejected.

Morgan paused, watching the man. "That one," She nodded to the hunter now standing aside, "He suggested 'Coyote chasing deer'. You do look like a coyote." She gave elbowed his arm with a small laugh. "You're a lot smaller than the other wolves, is that because you're not from a pack?"

She slowly made her way out of the forest not thinking to dispose of the body, she walked into her apartment and walked straight into the shower. Slightly crying in the shower regretting her actions in the woods and not hiding the body. A hunter had already found her before, more than likely that another one will find her and not be so lenient, the blood from the man washing off of her pale skin.

She made her way out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where she took out another glass and the Jack Daniels bottle she had and a Coke Zero from the fridge, she got out the left over pizza and sat down in front of her TV watching Grey's Anatomy, she looked at her phone. She knew it was a lot to ask of him, but she needed to get answers and she needed him to help her. She didn't feel safe anymore, she knew it was a bad idea doing what she did, but the temptation was there and she started craving them. Animal hearts didn't work for her anymore, she needed human hearts. Part of her wanted to go back out there and hide the body, but there is more of a chance of being caught if she did that.

Elijah listened as Ashley-May and Mackenzie voiced their concerns and cocked his head, shrugging at Will. "They're right."

William nodded. "Absolutely. I'm not suggesting we break out the torches and pitchforks just yet, only that we keep an eye out now that we know for sure that someone in Vitae might be working against us. If and when one of us discovers something suspicious, we figure it out together." He sighed, his eyes flicking to the ground as he remembered the near-disaster with Chase. "...We do it the right way this time."

Clearing his throat, Will continued. "And you should definitely keep your head down, Mac," he remarked. "You and Ash both, now that Mur's around. He could have more contacts inside Vitae that Chase wouldn't even know about. Once he figures out I'm not gonna play ball with his deal, who knows how far he'll go to get to Ash?"

Adelaide's eyes briefly lost focus, deep in thought, before she spoke up. "Where are you all staying? I know a few protective spells -- old hoodoo mostly -- just in case anything's on the inside that managed to get past the outer wards."

fff_zps4rxngdyd.png

Chase shrugged lightly at her translation, One who runs wasn't too bad of a name but clearly Emile and the others hadn't felt the same. As the hunters cat-called Chase thought about how this had to be one of the more awkward things to happen since he'd joined the pack. The man crossed his arms over his chest as the next person stepped up and suggested a name, Chase raising an eyebrow at the nervous glances in his direction but he kept quiet until someone gave a translation. "C-coyote!?" Chase sputtered out quietly, scowling as Morgan continued to rub it in. Not to mention the fact that it wasn't turned down like the last one.

"I do not look like one of those mongrel's. And I am not small. I'm.." One hand left the fold waving slightly as he looked for a term. "I'm average, if anything." Chase didn't enjoy either insinuation as both felt like jabs at his masculinity. It never made since to Chase either, he was a decently sized and built man but that didn't necessarily transfer over into his wolf form. He just hazarded a guess it had something to do with Werewolf genetics, or maybe because his mother was human. Chase found it a little odd that Morgan was asking the question, instead of just knowing considering her own time spent with other wolves.

Chase leaned forwards to look down the table, "How about hung like horse, that sounds like something up my alley." He was being sarcastic of course, but he'd rather have whatever the translation to that is over being called a Coyote.

“We’re staying at the house next to the Clinic instead of the barracks; the colony let me –us stay there when Mac was hurt earlier this week, and it seems like Eli and she just traded places, so I guess we’ll be there for a while.” Ashley-May paused, and then added. “It only has two rooms, but I’m sure Eli won’t mind if you take his bed for the next little while. I can change the sheets when I go back over later.” Ash appreciated any help Adelaide was willing to give to keep her and Mac both hidden from Mur and anyone that might by relaying information.

Mackenzie paused as Ash offered up Eli’s bed, and the same room Will remained it. She was about to mention Will’s new home, the gift from the colony, but with this new news she thought maybe it was best to stay where they were, at least until they could check out the new house and make sure that no hexbags or anything else had been left in waiting for any of them to arrive.

Morgan was a little surprised how offended Chase became when it was suggested that he resembled a coyote; maybe he had never seen himself reflected in water? The trays of food remained on the table and Morgan happily helped herself to seconds, soon enough the cooks were returning and leaving behind pitchers of beer and bottle of alcohol for anyone to help themselves. Chase continued on to suggest he was rather well endowed and Morgan could not contain her laughter.

Of course this brought the attention of the rest of the table, all eyes on Morgan, she flushed slightly. “Sorry.” She mumbled reaching across the table to collect a bottle of rum and pouring two fingers into a glass, she then offered Chase the bottle.

Brody, once Morgan settled herself, rose to walk around the table and come to the position where it was clear everyone would stand to present their offered names. He didn’t have to wait nearly as long as the others before Emile acknowledged him. “Doba.” Voice a growl. The pack nodded once more seeming to agree with the statement and so did Emile, sending Brody to stand with the first accepted name. Morgan leaned closer to Chase as she filled a glass with rum for him. “That means ‘no war’; I would guess because we all know how you feel about the Colony of Hunters, that you don’t want us to go after them.” It was stated as fact, no malice or emotion in her voice, nor did any of the members, save for Brody, seem to dislike Chase for his opinions.

William and Elijah exchanged brief but undeniably awkward glances at the mention of Adelaide taking over Elijah's bed. Will hadn't yet managed to get a read on Mackenzie's outlook toward his ex, but he couldn't imagine that didn't cross some sort of line with her. Adelaide was momentarily confused by the sudden silence, but after a moment she intuited the reason behind it.

"I'd be glad to take the couch," she offered innocently, hoping to defuse the tension.

Will shook his head, deciding to head off the conversation before it began. "No need. As it happens, the Council decided to grant us a gift at the meeting." He said, reaching into his pocket to withdraw the key he'd received earlier. "A house in the Council's section of Vitae. More room than the Clinic's... more than enough for all of us, I imagine. I haven't seen the inside yet, but I figure now's as good a time as any to make preparations to move over there with Ashley-May and now Addy being here. I'd like to do a sweep first -- just to be safe."

Elijah raised his eyebrows. "They gave you a house? How much ass-kissing have you been doing at those meetings?"

Will smirked. "It's as much for you as me, Alpha of Vitae. Turns out when you nearly die to defy a nature god for the sake of the Colony, people take notice."

Elijah opened his mouth to retort, before shutting it and shifting uncomfortably at the remark. Adelaide spoke up, "Now that that's settled," she said dryly, "Direct me toward the house and I'll see about making sure it's safe."

"At least someone laughs at my jokes." He mused towards Morgan, reaching out to grab some of the meat to chew on before accepting the glass. "You guys sure like your alcohol huh." The man chuckled, taking a few sips before setting it back on the table. Promptly he heard Brody leave his seat and make his way around the table to make his suggestion, Chase wondered what sort of name the man would suggest considering their first two meetings. Once the word was said there was no laughing and it was clearly considered since Brody stepped to the side.

Chase listened for the female's translation, the first moment not sure how he felt until Morgan gave her two cents on the meaning. Chase was suddenly aware how much the rest of the pack knew about his stance with Vitae. Eyes going from Morgan to some of the other pack members littered about who were looking their general direction. Despite the fact that he tried to only openly speak about the colony when it was more or less just him and Emile, but it would seem Morgan was correct when she said words got passed around. Though he'd never spoken against the pack going after Vitae, that was sure as hell how he felt. Chase couldn't decide if he was just that transparent when he spoke.

Honestly it probably went without saying considering who he was and his chosen lifestyle, it was more of a surprise that those who'd signed on with the pack didn't share his stance. Overall he didn't know how to feel about it being a potential nickname, mostly because he didn't know how he'd be looked at by the others of the pack if it was. Morgan had spoken plainly, simply telling him. "Yeah well, that's just who I am."

Ashley-May frowned at the awkwardness that ensured after she had offered a place in the house for Adelaide, though looking over Mackenzie brought no answers. Will was soon announcing the new house he and Eli had been given and she smiled some, appreciating the fact that he included her in the invitation. "You know what, Will about about you take Adelaide up to the new house and Mac and I will go get some things packed at the other one?" She stood, setting aside the blanket and paperwork. She gave Eli a quick smile. 'I promise I'll get her to make us dinner, while we're gone." She wasn't about to leave any room for debate, she took Mac by the upper arm and very nearly dragged the other woman out of the room.

Neither spoke until they were clear of the clinic when Ash finally let Mac go, "What is going on in there?"

Mac glanced back towards the clinic as they made their way to the house. "That's Will's ex you just invited to share a room with." She was more than satisfied when Ash made a face of disbelief.

"Did you know?"

"Sort of," Mac answered as the crossed the lawn. "He told me after he said he was asked her to help." She paused, "I don't think he meant anything by it." She could see Ashley-May becoming suspicious. "He introduced me as his girlfriend." That look of suspicion soon turned to a grin.

Morgan frowned seeing Chase become awkward at the name. "No one cares," She said firmly. "I mean we care but not in a bad away. You don't have to agree with what we do, not all of us do, but we still obey the Alpha." She didn't want to make Chase feel awkward about the whole thing. "It's been made clear that you have family there, that we need to be cautious when we go in; not that we have any plans to hurt anyone really." She gave a slight shrug.

Another pack member rose, walking to the center and providing the name Kosa. Some of the pack nodded while the rest seemed confused, until he hunter elaborated. "Because he killed that ram? The other day?" It seemed the pack didn't really agree with the name, nor did Emile and the hunter was returned.

Morgan glanced to Chase with a smirk. "At least uncle is keeping to ridiculous names at bay; that last one was sheep." She rolled her eyes.

A fourth wolf rose to take a stab at naming the newest member, Honovi. "Strong Deer." Morgan whispered, and once more Emile allowed him to join the first three accepted. This went on for sometime, though it seemed like the pack was coming up with random things now, Morgan gave Chase a slow smile. "It would go better if the Elders and women were here. They're really good at naming wolves. Like Malcolm is Nadie which means Wise. And Brody, welll you were pretty close. He's Nita, which means Bear." She shifted in her seat, refilling her now empty glass then topping off Chase's. "Uncle is Odina. Mountain. The mid-wives said he was massive when he was born, but that really hasn't changed much."

Emile was soon standing, silence falling among the pack, as always the Alpha was allowed to submit his own name suggestion. He followed the same steps the other wolves had and came to stand before where Chase sat. "Honiahaka." He offered and Morgan whispered. "Lost Wolf." The other three waited quietly and after few seconds she spoke again. "You chose, which one suits you best, if you had family they would chose for you." The pack watched Chase expectantly, waiting for his answer.

Morgan clearly sensed his discomfort with the subject at hand, seeking to tell her side and that of other pack members. "That's all well and good, but there are other ways." Chase huffed, going quiet afterwards just as another pack member stepped forwards to suggest a name. While awkward having so much of himself out for the public to know it was at least nice not to feel judged for it, other than maybe the one wolf in particular.

The female spoke on some of the others nicknames causing Chase to smirk lightly, "Those are all pretty spot on I'd say." After she topped off Chase's glass he sought to take a few more sips but kept a slow pace because he wasn't interested in a re-occurrence of the night before.

More and more pack members suggested names over time, all of which were turned down. And to his surprise the Alpha himself moved to the position as the others had to suggest a name. For some reason Chase had assumed Emile being the Alpha couldn't, or wouldn't, suggest a name for anyone. He'd pause, staring at Emile who was staring back, as Morgan gave Chase the translation.

Chase huffed with a small smile, clearly the Alpha had a thing for calling him lost wolf. And with the earlier talk at the stream about the names, and his talk with Morgan about the fact that the Alpha had been flirting. Chase took no offense to it, raising his head higher when Morgan said he had the choice of accepted names. It wasn't the most difficult to choose, the Coyote one was off the table, and Strong Deer didn't appeal to him. That left Brody and Emile's suggestions, and despite the fact that it had been accepted into the possible names, Chase felt Brody's was more or less a small challenge of sorts.

Chase slowly stood from his seat to be more at Emile's eye level, "Guess you're little nickname gets to stick after-all. Honiahaka it is." He spoke loudly for everyone to hear even if he pronounced the word slowly, considering he'd only heard it once. Chase got the feeling Emile was going to be rather smug about it but he didn't care, he'd told the man to forget his little outburst at the stream.

Joe found himself standing outside the apartment number Andy had provided, he was hesitating to knock. On his way here he heard chatter over the police radio about a fresh body that was missing a heart found in the woods not too far away. There was no way to know if it was Andy without asking her directly, but Joe knew, deep down he knew the teenager had done it. His hand flexed around the gun hidden by his jacket, sheathed in a leather shoulder holster.

Ten minutes ago he'd been sitting in the SUV watching the place, had been for nearly an hour just to see what he could see. Which ended up being nothing. Joe had mulled over how to go about this, any other time he or Chase likely would have gone in hard and fast then finished the job with little to no words but this wasn't any other job and he didn't even have proof it was the teenager in the first place. And if it somehow wasn't Andy then it meant there was another wolf nearby or passing through, and the attention could draw hunters to Andy as well.

Joe released his hand on the gun and let it fall to his side whilst taking a deep breath, then using the other one to knock three times. The place was to open and public, before he did or said anything he wanted to be inside.

The three remained in stunned silence as Ashley-May practically dragged her partner from the room. Will tilted his head to take a sudden interest in the tiled floor, while Elijah fiddled with the hem of his blanket once more. Adelaide placed her hands on her hips, eyes flicking between the two of them with growing exasperation. "Well?" she prompted.

William and Elijah traded a glance. "Go ahead," the latter said, gesturing toward the door. Adelaide sighed at the exchange before following Will into the hallway and out of the Clinic. As they stepped outside, she turned to face him. "Mackenzie knows about us, I take it."

Will nodded slowly. "It won't be a problem, Addy. I didn't mean to--"

She scoffed. "Shut up, Will," she said lightly, with a growing smile. "I'm happy for you. You obviously care for her and she feels the same way about you."

William raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms. "You figure that out by reading her?"

Adele rolled her eyes. "As if I needed to. Besides, I couldn't even if I wanted to. She's like a brick wall to me. Is she...?"

"Human? Yes. She's an Oracle," Will said. "She's bound to Hypnos," he said, with audible disdain.

Adelaide nodded thoughtfully, remembering the woman's mention of her prophetic dream. "That would explain it. Now, Councillor, what say we check in on this humble abode of yours?"

Will smiled, nodding. "Come on. I'll fill you in on the way." He led the way toward the "Council district", if it could be called that, with Adelaide following along behind. As they walked, Will gave Addy a condensed play-by-play of everything that had happened since he and Elijah had arrived at the Colony, leaving little out. The witch nodded as he spoke, committing the details to memory but not interrupting him. The more she understood about the situation, the more she could help.
