Mackenzie didn't attempt to pry anything out of Will for the time being, he was stuck in his own head and she needed to pay attention to everything for both of their sake's. She turned the ignition on and let the Beast idle a moment in the parking lot waiting for the first fire trucks and first responders to arrive on scene before pulling out of the spot and making her way slowly though the now crowded lot towards the exit with the rest of the chaotic civilians as they attempted to flee.

She waved her thanks to the officer directing traffic that allowed her to turn back down the road towards Vitae. She drove the speed limit, the car was enough to bring peoples attention she didn't need anything extra after what happened at the mall. Checking the side and rear view often to make sure they weren't being followed and no police were on their tail she drove most of the way back to Vitae before pulling off into the very same abandoned campground they had spoken with Chase in earlier. She shut off the engine and exited the vehicle. Black sharpie still in hand she worked her way around the car, scribbling and cringing as she warded the car; the very wards she promised Hypnos she would 'avoid'. But at least this way she knew for certain Mur or any other supernatural thing wouldn't be able to spot her out in the wild.

Satisfied (and crying on the inside) that it would work until she could figure out something more permanent she returned to the drivers side to the ever silent Will. "What did Franklin have to say?" She had sent him on a mission, they needed the details that Franklin had to piece together what Mur could possibly be planning for the nephilim.

Chase listened to Emile through the broken English, gathering mostly what the man was saying. At least the Alpha wanted some defiance, to help get different opinions and thoughts. It was relieving to say the least because Chase wasn't the best at keeping his mouth shut at times. It also opened up the possibility of convincing Emile not to go through with the attack on Vitae. But that would be for another time.

"Yeah, yeah." Chase shook his head with a smile as he felt the weight of the other mans arm on his shoulders, his words clearly had bothered Emile. Again Emile was pushing the boundaries of personal space to get his point across, something Malcolm had warned him that Werewolves generally lacked. The older man was adamant to show Chase what he saw, that it wasn't as simple as the younger man's thought process. "That's what everyone wants, right? To be happy."

Emile gave a low growl hearing Chase's reply, the younger man was still unconvinced and it would take more than just himself telling him he was welcomed; perhaps because it was coming from the Alpha that it meant little? He stepped forward, arm still around Chase's shoulders, he started to lead the newest member back towards the pack, "You see, talk with the meute. Learn them and they learn you." Emile slowed his pace slightly, knowing that should he join the conversation it would give Chase a way to remain a wallflower, so as they drew closer he let his hand slip to the center for Chase's shoulders, nudging him towards the other members that were on the hunt with them earlier.

Morgan seemed aware of Chase and her uncle approaching, seeing the motion it was clear enough to her that Emile wanted Chase to socialized, she waved Chase over, patting the seat beside her on the wooden bench of a picnic table, one of the other wolves was telling story about his wife -a pure bred, learning how to grocery shop for the first time. It was a hilarious retelling for the other turned-wolves, given how poorly pure-breds did in the human world.

William had watched Mackenzie work, knowing that whatever markings she was making on the car were likely type of warding sigils, meant to prevent a repeat incident of what had happened at the bar. He could only assume that the knowledge was derived from her connection as an Oracle. Once she was back in the Beast, he composed himself so that he could answer her question. Whatever his the news about his possible parents meant, they'd figure it out in time.

"The good news is that there's no sign of any Nest working with the Pack this time around," he said, staring out the windshield as he spoke. "Last time Mur got his hands on a Nephilim's Grace, he went to war with Franklin and the Pack. Nearly wiped both of them out. Safe bet he's trying to do the same thing again."

Will paused, turning to look at Mackenzie. "And Mac... Franklin said the Grace came from a newborn, as part of a deal with the parents to escape the angels... a little over thirty years ago." He shook his head, shrugging impotently. "The math adds up," he said, his voice little more than a whisper.

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie was content to see that Will had regained enough focus to at least answer her once she returned to the driver's seat. She nodded, relieved that Franklin knew there was no Nest associated with the Pack; it meant that should the Pack win it would not repeat what had happened at Borseti, what had happened to her. She was surprised to hear Franklin admit that Mur had nearly done him and the Pack over; all the more reason to find out how Mur got the Grace out of the Nephilim. Out of Will.

She watched him for chinks in his armor as he spoke about the timing, that it was perfectly plausible that he had been the Nephilim and his parents had sacrificed everything to save him. She remained silent for a time, considering carefully what to say. Instead she shifted closer to him across the bench, having to kneel so she could slowly wrap her arms around his shoulder, bringing his head against her shoulder. "It doesn't change anything, Will. Not who you are, or were meant to be." She gently stroked a hand along the back of his neck, thumb rubbing softly circles. "If anything, if this is the truth, that it was... Then now you know your parents loved you. Enough to do anything to save you." She gently kissed his cheek, hoping history wouldn't repeat itself and she, Will, Ash and likely Eli would sacrifice themselves to keep the child alive.

William felt Mackenzie shifting next to him, surprised when he felt her arms enveloping him, coaxing his head toward her. He didn't shy away from the touch, resting his head against her shoulder. He brought one hand up to wrap around her forearm, squeezing gently as if to ground himself even further. He was reaching out for any comfort she could give him. His life had just been turned upside down by an unsolicited answer to a question that hadn't seemed important in years... and now it meant everything in the world. There was only one source of stability for him in the face of all that -- and she was holding onto him right now.

"...now you know your parents loved you. Enough to do anything to save you."

"Including condemning themselves to Hell for an eternity," Will murmured. "All of it for a child they never really knew." He took a deep breath. "Part of me always knew that it might be for the best that I didn't know who my parents were or what happened to them. I'd come to terms with the fact that one or both of them might be dead."

Will's voice took on a pained edge, "But my father wasn't even a human and my mother is rotting away in the Pit. Meanwhile Mur turned part of me into a weapon and killed god knows how many people. What makes me worth all of that? How am I supposed to accept that, much less live with it?" he knew he was close to ranting, even babbling at this point, but he didn't care even as he felt moisture in his eyes.

It tortured Mackenzie to hear Will speak about himself so horridly. Each word another stab to her heart threatening to end her. She held him tighter against herself, biting her lip in an attempt to keep her voice calm and steady. "Because every child, no matter where they come from, is worth it." Once more she gently kissed his cheek, hand slipped under his chin to tilt his head upwards. She pressed her lips to his kissing him carefully wanting nothing more than to pull the pain from him, shield him from it all.

Once their lips parted she whispered against his own quietly. "Is Ash's child anything less than deserving because if it's father?" She already knew his answer. "So why would you have been any different?"

William willed himself to return Mackenzie's kiss, but the attempt was halfhearted. He was already considering her words, drawing the comparison between Ash's child and himself. Part of him wanted to argue, to resist the idea and declare that it wasn't the same... but he knew the truth. As his thoughts drifted to the possibility of Ashley-May and her unborn child being unceremoniously executed for the simple "crime" of the latter's existence... he knew he would do anything to keep them safe, even selling his soul. It didn't matter that she wasn't the woman he loved and the baby she carried wasn't his -- she was his friend, and her child deserved a chance at life. They all did.

William closed his eyes for several moments, taking deep breaths. It would take time to come to terms with all of this, to make it okay. But it was time he was willing to take, knowing he wouldn't have to go it alone. When his eyes opened, they sought out the bright emerald-like irises that had led him out of the darkness Hypnos' horn had created in New York... and now again, in a darkness all of his own creation. He opened his mouth to speak, his voice ragged with emotion. "Thank you, Mac. For everything."

Will's eyes closed again as he leaned in to bring his lips back to hers with sudden eagerness. His hand left her forearm to wrap around the back of her neck, fingers gently kneading her hair as he broke the kiss, resting his forehead against hers in silence.

This would be the second time in nearly twenty minutes that Emile would physically lead him somewhere. If Chase didn't know any better he'd say the Alpha took a small amount of joy in doing so in a little retaliation for the defiant moments. Eventually he was released like a baby bird out of the nest, Chase gave a cross between an annoyed and questioning look to Emile before continuing on towards others of the pack.

Spotting Morgan patting the seat next to her Chase quietly slipped onto the bench, listening to the story being told. It was such an odd thought, a Werewolf having to learn and attempt something as simple as grocery shopping. It was a complete role reversal to Chase's current situation. Wolves learning to do the common human things, and Chase learning the basics of how a pack worked. Even things most Werewolves should already probably understand even without a pack. But Chase didn't have anyone who really understood to teach him. Joe was there, but there was only so much a human, even a hunter, could really understand.

He was wholly aware that most of his interaction had been with the Alpha. Chase might have just said it was strategy for his whole reason for being here, however the Alpha seemed to be the more persistent one to engage than him. When the story the other wolf told was over Chase leaned towards Morgan to speak in a whisper, "I think you're uncle enjoys trying to make me squirm." Chase shrugged his shoulders rather innocently.

Mackenzie knew he was hurting, understood the pain he was going through: coming to terms with something that was not a fault if your own but something that had resulted from him none the less. She remained silent waited ever patiently for him to speak, she didn't expect her comparison to Ashley's child to be enough to settled his own feelings, that would take time to heal -if it ever did, but it was meant for him to understand why his parents did it.

Eventually he spoke, thanked her of all things and kissed her, like he had before no longer robotic. She remained silent for a time, content to simply be near him. Her eyes closed and forehead pressed against his own, her fingertips slowly tracing along the back of his neck. She knew they couldn't stay like this for long, entirely exposed: she may have warded the car to prevent Mur or the pack from singling her out but it didn't make them invisible. "We should get going." She said after a moment but made no move to leave his side, nit until he was ready.

Morgan looked from Chase to her uncle as he strode from where he had left Chase back to the cooks, no doubt in an attempt to steal more food. She was tempted to call him out but thought better of it, he was crafty and she wasn't sure the cooks would mind. "That might be true," she offered Chase, looking back at him with a slow smile. "But he's certainly smitten with you." She gave Chase a playful wink. "Don't get me wrong, feeding you dinner, housing you and tonights celebration all part of tradition, even the hunt today. But making you breakfast, giving up the heart. Hell even stealing food from the elders and sharing it with you. That's uncle flirting." She elbowed Chase's arm but paused. "Oh shit please tell me his instincts aren't off? I mean I don't expect him to be your type but I mean he's not wrong on your preferences, right?" Morgan worried now that she had offended Chase by telling him about Emile. She feared she may have caused tension in the pack.

William nodded his understanding. "Yeah," he said, giving Mac another quick, parting kiss before reluctantly breaking the contact and sliding away. He took a moment to look out the window, eyes scanning the surrounding treeline. It was to check for threats after his last few minutes of complacency as much as to enjoy the campground's scenery. Satisfied, he turned back to Mackenzie. "You want me to drive?" he asked evenly. He knew it was safer for both of them now that he was in the right frame of mind, but he wouldn't force the issue if she wanted some time behind the wheel of her beloved Beast.

Mackenzie knew despite Will seemingly returning to his usual self that there was still part of him lost in thought. She slowly shook her head after their brief kiss, "No it'll be okay." She could only hope the warding on the car could prevent visions from being received too. She slid back behind the wheel and turned the engine on.

Shortly she had them back on the road headed once more to Vitae. She soon recalled the blade she had lifted from the now dead demon and pulled it with it's sheath from her boot. She held it out for Will to take. "Here, for when we see Mur next." She didn't take her eyes from the road. "It's the only thing I know of that kills demons, kill kills them; no return. If we can get him cornered. Well maybe we can make a deal, trade his life for a soul." While she was aware her own mother allegedly had the same fate as his, but his had sacrificed her life to save his.

Eddie looked around after he was teleported at the other two, before shaking his head and sprinting back to the entrance. He wasn't sure if Thor or one of the other men teleported them, but he wasn't going to let the fight go on without him. The impossibly loud and random noises inside the building made him admittedly run a bit slower, but as he pushed open the door, he saw the other three cornering Thor with his back to the wall. Thor was smiling, but that could've been cockyness or anything else. In Eddie's eyes, it looked bad. He dropped his backpack next to him and pulled out a revolver.

"Step away from Thor or I shoot.... Please." He said, alternating his sin between the three of them. NanLia NanLia Alator Alator

Will took the knife, examining it critically. It was likely the most powerful supernatural weapon he'd ever laid his hands on. He turned it in his hands, allowing the sunlight streaming through the windshield to reflect off the polished blade, bathing the carved symbols in a warm glow.

William understood exactly what soul Mac was referring to and it brought a wan smile to his face. "Two souls," he said quietly, but with determination. "If he doesn't agree... we'll just have to persuade him," Will remarked, returning the knife to its sheath. He wasn't going to further condemn Mac's mother if they had any choice in the matter... not even for the sake of his own.

Wanting to forestall a discussion on the subject, he slid toward her to reach over and place his hand on the back of her neck, his thumb massaging circles along the edge of her cheek.

Chase couldn't help but feel a little awkward as Morgan basically spelled out what was normal Alpha behavior and what was Emile's actual endearment, he kept going back to the word Malcolm had chosen to use.

Morgan's moment of panic was lightly humorous. "No, no. He's spot on." Chase reassured with an awkward smile, "I'm just surprised an Alpha would have interest in a former hunter who, quoting him, doesn't understand what it is to be wolf. And to be fair he's not completely wrong." Chase wasn't being snarky with Emile's quote, merely stating it. There were other Wolves here that had once been hunters but they'd been turned and taken up the lifestyle, Chase had made an active choice not to. Leaning forward he placed his elbows on the table the man let out a deep breath, so he had been picking up on those signals after-all.

How exactly had he managed to get into this situation? Finding someone who enjoyed his company, but was a Werewolf, Alpha, and bent on attacking the colony Chase was trying to protect. And Chase possibly enjoyed Emile's company as well. Except he probably shouldn't because of that same complicated situation. "Is it common for him to flirt with new members?" The question was careful and curious.

Apportation was never pleasant, or at least that's what Christopher was beginning to believe after the second time he was shifted locations by the god, and once again with no forewarnding. Bruce and Aiden were equally surprised to see the two men they had arrived with and a woman outside the flower shop. "Get.." He gurgled, attempting not to throw up. "Get her in the car." He stepped forward to hold on to the vehicle to keep himself steady.

He was suddenly away that Eddie had taken off back towards the shop and was shouting at what ever had come for them. "Shit," He ran after him coming in behind Eddie holding a gun to the three cornering Thor, hand on the other mans shoulder he was speaking calmly, shocked he hadn't already go himself killed. "Come on, Eddie, Nice and easy. This is bigger than us."

Morgan breathed a sigh of relief, glad to hear her uncle was not mistaken with Chase's preferences, the man certainly had a nose for that sort of thing; there were times that she knew as well -some people just gave off that sort of vibe, but others, like Chase she had been clueless until Emile had started flirting. She returned his smile, awkward or not, glad to see the man wasn't annoyed by the Alpha's advances, even gave a slight laugh as he quoted his Emile.

Chase questioned if this were common and Morgan gave a slight shrug. "He's flirtatious often, men or women, it's just part of who he is, but..." She gave him a side long glance. "Not like this, at least not that I've seen. He had a boyfriend once, when I was a kid, but he was killed by a hunter. He doesn't hold any grudges, not any more at least. Not sure what happened to the hunter, but he didn't become part of the pack. What about you, ever been with another wolf? Or strictly humans for you?"

Mackenzie gave a slight nod hearing Will count her own mother in to his future dealing with Mur. She wouldn't comment, after-all she was the one that had sent her mother there. She had been the one to end her finally and it certainly wasn't something she would ever forget. Mind wandered, recalling the last few moments she had spent with her mother while she was still human, the beautiful woman she had adored and missed. She was drawn from her thoughts as she felt Will's hand slip behind her neck, the man always seemed able to sooth her no matter what she felt. She gave a small smile, hand falling to Will's leg, mimicking the same patterns there. "So, Councilmen Hendrix, does the rest of the Council know that you moving in will be Eli, Ash and myself?"

William smiled at Mackenzie's question, continuing to massage the back of her neck. "Diffey seemed to expect that. If not... they will soon enough," he said, happy to change the subject and return to some semblance of their usual banter as he placed the knife on the seat next to his leg. "It's a shame Elijah won't be able to see it for a while. Neither will Ash, if she keeps spending all her time at the Clinic hovering over him," he remarked with a smirk.

"You should know, with me being so gracious as to allow you to stay in my new humble abode, there are going to be some house rules," he said with faux seriousness. "The first being beaver tails on demand, the second--" he paused as the edge of his hand on Mac's shoulder came into contact with something warm and wet. Frowning, he brought his hand up and saw the telltale flash of red.

"You're hurt," he said, having dropped his joking tone. "Pull over, I need to take a look."

fff_zps4rxngdyd.png

Emile having a flirtatious personality was an impression he'd already gotten. Chase listened as the female spoke of the Alpha having a significant other, but that had been quite a while, and his life had been cut short by a hunter. He couldn't help but wonder if it was warranted or if a hunter had just done the instinctive thing hunters did. If the time matched up it could have even been during the Borseti incident, but that could have been a reach. "He's a better man than most for letting that grudge go." Chase was thinking on it, as well as his own grudge when it came to his Mother when Morgan's question brought him back to the present.

"No er, strictly humans." Chase sat straight once again and shrugged, "Just how it's always been. Hence the fact that I didn't catch onto the whole heart flirting thing. I assumed it was something along the lines of a first hunt with the pack offering." It was embarrassing really, but he wouldn't catch onto some of these things without speaking about it with someone who knew so Morgan was as good as any. Especially considering it was her family they spoke on, and she didn't seem the type to openly make fun of him for it. "How about you?" Chase asked with a sly smirk, "Any humans or are broody black bears you're only type?" He was fully aware that Brody was sitting nearby and could be listening to the conversation but considering all the conversations that were going the other man could easily be occupied in his own.

Mackenzie smirked hearing him state they would soon find out, she had little doubt they would be far from impressed at the new additions to his home, but she certainly was not going to shy away from that challenge. "Well she hasn't lost anyone yet, and she is not about to let Eli ruin that record." Though she had to admit she was spending far more time with the man, it made Mac wonder if there was something to it. She would have to pry at Ash later tonight, Will was continuing one with his list of demands, firstly beaver tails. Eye brows raised as she watched him intently, waiting for the next on his list but she blinked at the sudden seriousness of his features.

"You're hurt, pull over, I need to take a look."

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'm fine, what's a little blood?" In all honestly she didn't know the extent of what she had done to herself whilst tackling the demon, or afterwards 'cleaning' up the place. She had every intention of sneaking to the clinic to have Ash patch it up, sending him on a mission for food, but of course the man had caught her out right. She glanced towards him, ready to give him another excuse but something about his stern expression made her close her mouth with an audible click. She did as she had been told, pulling the Beast onto the gravel side of the road and shifting it into park.

She nodded in agreement to Chase's comment; she doubted she could be as kind to forgive those that had killed her lover; if she had ever had one that is. Morgan smiled, eyes widening as Chase admitted to not knowing what Emile passing on the heart had meant. She brought a hand to her mouth to stifle a giggle, the man had a lot to learn and she would be more than happy to teach him, but before she could say anything else he was questioning her on if she had been with any humans. She flushed as he commented on black bears and she gave him look but made no comments about it. "No humans, no anyone for that matter. I had a boyfriend when I was younger, but Emile put an end to anything there. He's kind of kept a lot away." She gave a little shrug. "He means well, just very protective." She gave Brody side long glance, the man wasn't actively paying either of them any attention. "Besides bears don't seem to want me much," She lowered her voice. "I think he just puts up with me because I could be the next Alpha."

Mackenzie's initial, flippant response to Will's request prompted a stern glare. He didn't expect it to have any effect on her decision to forego treatment; she was nothing if not stubborn. When she glanced his way he was prepared for a witty reply, a casual dismissal of her injuries. Instead, she said nothing. William was almost shocked at the silent compliance as she steered the Beast off the road and put it in park. Not allowing his surprise to show on his face, he smiled gratefully before sliding across the bench seat toward her.

Will reached up, slowly guiding her body to face the driver's side door so that her back was towards him, gently tilting her head forward in order to give himself enough room to pull up the hem of her shirt. He wasn't surprised to see that several of her sutures had been torn out. He sighed audibly at the sight, blood oozing from the gashes. It wasn't a severe injury, but it would need to be patched up in order to avoid infection and make sure the flesh had some chance of healing properly. He looked around the Beast for anything he could use as makeshift gauze until they reached Vitae, but found nothing sterile. He didn't want to risk using anything that wasn't clean on a wound that wasn't bleeding severely.

"You tore your sutures out. Again," he remarked dryly. "I'll take care of them when we get back home," he said. It felt weird calling it that -- new house or no -- though he liked the sound of it regardless. He let Mac's shirt fall back into place, but didn't pull his hands away, instead running his fingers softly up the side of her abdomen to come to rest on her shoulder before leaning in toward her, his mouth inches behind her ear. "You should consider yourself lucky you're my favorite patient," he murmured. "Thanks for cooperating, love." Dipping his head down, he placed a kiss at the base of her neck before pulling away, sliding back to his side of the bench seat with a knowing smile.

dx0HE3H.jpg

She reluctantly complied with his gently prodding, turning to face out the driver's side window and allow him to do as he needed. She tilted her head aside as he lifted the back of her shirt, aware he was unlikely to enjoy what had happened. She winced as he felt the need to add again at the end of his statement, both of them knew what had happened, and would likely to continue happening until well after the pack had been dealt with. She was about to tell him just that, but then thought against it; no need to poke any further, he was already in the chastising mood clearly. She smiled hearing him all it home, for the first time understanding what it felt like to go back somewhere that was safe, mostly.

He was sliding away and she turned back towards the wheel, readying to put the car into drive and return a 'Doc' reply when she paused and blinked. It took several seconds to first understand what he had said, and then why. A deep flush crossed her cheeks as her dark eyes turned towards him and that damned smile. She glared at him playfully before putting the Beast back into gear and pulling back out onto the road. "Just couldn't let it be, eh? Girl slips up once..." She tisked at him.

They were not far from Vitae, only a few minutes out after their second stop and Mac slowed then stopped the Beast outside the gates waiting for Bart to do his traditional check up.

"Yeah I get the feeling Emile just has to look at a guy wrong to make him leave you alone." Chase joked though he didn't doubt the man could be very intimidating when he wanted to be. The Alpha was intimidating as is, even with his fun and smiling nature. "He clearly wants the best for you. My guess is he was testing anyone who took an interest. If they weren't willing to fight for you by standing up to him, for you, then they weren't worthy." Chase gave rather unsure look as he said it, having no idea if that was plausible reasoning inside a wolf pack, but it made sense, in both human and wolf nature. Emile was family but he was only her Uncle, not Morgan's Father, and Chase was sure that complicated things to some extent as to how he reacted to her admirers.

Whether Morgan's words were true or not was hard to say. Maybe they were, or maybe what Emile said earlier about Brody not getting close without the Alpha's permission was the reason. Chase hadn't been here or known them nearly long enough to come to really make an assumption. It clearly bothered her so it was Chase's turn to nudge her in the side of the arm with his elbow, "Well, maybe mention to him that you don't want to be Alpha anymore. See if he changes somehow." To be fair he wasn't sure if someone could just turn down the passing of Alpha, so maybe that little fake-out plan wouldn't work anyways.

Morgan listened intently to Chase and the wisdom he brought from the human world, or so she assumed; it made sense that if a potential suitor (As Emile called them) didn't put up a fight to be with her, then maybe they weren't worth the trouble after all? It made her consider Brody; they spoke, often, about many things -not just pack but likes and dislikes. And at times it seemed like he was genuinely interested in her but then other days it was as though he were an entirely different person; like he didn't care about her in the least.

Eyes widened as Chase suggested she tell him she wasn't interested in being Alpha. She took a quick glance around to see if anyone was paying attention, but when they settled on Chase once more spoke again softly. "It's... it's not that simple. I can't just say that to someone and then tell them later that it wasn't the truth. What if they tells someone else?" She gave a small frown, forgetting Chase didn't know about the Pack and how it worked. "It's law here, if you say something, you tell someone something then it's binding. If I tell anyone that I don't want to be Alpha I can't go back. If someone tells you they want to be your mate," She made a face at the work, preferring human terms, "Then it's done, no going back." She hoped he understood now, why she couldn't. "Be careful what you tell people, Chase. You make a promise you be held to it."

William said nothing at Mac's gentle chiding, his smile only broadening. What he said hadn't been in jest; as much as he enjoyed poking fun at Mackenzie he had meant it with every ounce of himself. He remained silent for the rest of the short ride back to Vitae, simply enjoying the ride. He periodically turned to look at Mac, watching her as she relaxed behind the wheel of her beloved Beast, storing the sight away in his memory. What he had learned from Mur never left his mind -- it was there, at the back of his head, hanging over him. But it was a manageable presence now, thanks to her.

As they pulled up to the gates, it didn't take long before Bart came striding up. He raised his eyebrows at the sight of Mac behind the wheel and William riding shotgun, but didn't comment on it. "Productive trip, you two?" he asked casually.

Will shook his head. "Not particularly. Didn't find any silver worth the name, but at least we know now."

Bart's eyes flitted between the Councillor and his aide with a hint of humorous suspicion before he nodded. "Fair enough. Have a good one, you two." He gave the signal and the gate swung open for the Beast.

"Clinic house first," William said as they entered. "I want to take care of those sutures."

Mackenzie smiled and watched Bart as he did his due diligence and came to meet them at the car. She continued to watch him as he and Will spoke, never taking her eyes from Bart. Of everyone that was part of Vitae prior to her arrival she certainly liked and respected Bart the most. Giving the man a nod as he allowed them re-entry, she slowly pulled through the gates.

"Yes sir." She said playfully to Will as he ordered the directions. She turned and soon brought them back to the clinic house and pulling in the drive way. She put the Beast in park and turned off the ignition. Before she went anywhere she needed to out the papers away. From the envelope she extracted the declaration for her estate and added it to the warded box that Will would need should something happen to her. With the rest of the papers and gift for Ash she looked to Will. "Permission to disembark, sir."
