Malcolm tilted his head aside at the woman's comments. "You say you are not a threat, but if you join an alliance with Vitae then you become our enemy, do you not?" He was far from angry, given he had not always been a werewolf, he was far more diplomatic than his pure bred brethren. "I would hazard a guess that Vitae will ask of your assistance to end our feud, because that's what I would do, if we were inclined to accept prior to our issue is resolved." He gave a slow shrug. "The pack will not enter into an alliance with the kitsune until we have handled our issues with Vitae, five days it will be done, for better or worse, and we will speak to you then about it." He gave the woman a slight nod before turning back the way he had come and heading towards the pack once more.

Mackenzie watched Joe's form tense, the anger and annoyance with their presence growing, this was more like the reaction she had expected from the man, though she wished they hadn't been the reason to provoke it. She didn't like the threat left at the end of Joe's scolding, the promise of a show, she felt her own anger rise but she gritted her teeth; she had just narrowly escaped death at the hands of the Council and that narrow margin were only four of fifteen Councilmen. She set the plate of pastries down, no intention of revoking what they had brought as an offer no matter what he said or felt.

"Understood." She said crisply, turning to face Will, she placed a hand against his arm with a gentle tug. "Let's go, we'll speak to him later if we need to."

Ashley-May had not been far outside of Eli's room when she heard the first sights of his disturbed sleep. She paused the music and pulled the device from her ear, tilting her head towards the open door to listen. Hearing a second moan, far louder than the first, confirmed it for her that Eli was not resting well. She left the charts where the lay at the table outside his room and heading inside. She turned on the lights and brought herself to his beside; she knew from past experience waking hunters from nightmares could be dangerous for both of them. She gently slipped her hands around his, giving it a light squeeze before leaning over the bed and speaking softly. "Hey, Eli." She brought a hand up to stroke through his hair, something she knew soothed Mac when she slept. "It's alright Eli. I'm here."

William remained absolutely still as Joe lashed out at them. That, he expected. The implicit threat the man followed up with less so, though it was hardly surprising. Still, Hendrix kept his face an impassive mask as Joe spoke, not allowing the words to visibly register. After Mac prompted him, William spoke up, his tone even. "We'll talk again when I have something to report," he said.

Turning, he nodded to Mac before striding from the barracks. Safely outside, he turned to her. "That went about as well as expected, but at least we know that he's not going after Chase anytime soon." Will sighed. "How about that gas run?" He asked with a small smile.

Elijah's disturbed sleep calmed at Ashley-May's touch, the simple contact reaching some part of his vulnerable subconscious. His writhing slowed before disappearing entirely, his moans quieting before disappearing entirely. Though he never woke, his mouth opened to murmur one simple word in his sleep: "Ash..."

Hypnos' laugh echoed throughout the dream world, " You know I have the very same problem." The dream shifted suddenly it went from the forest to a realm of darkness: Erebos. The Men replaced with Hypnos himself, his arms crossed behind him in a passive manner and an amused smile plastered on his face. " However my brethren are a little more... infamous than a Djinn." Hypnos began circling " So why would you seek shelter with the same humans who slaughtered your family?"

Solomon smiled at the comment that he would bring his help before the Council to decide, " That's all I ask. If you like I can call my friend here now. He's very eager to speak with you actually. Apparently he did something unbecoming and he would like to apologize." Solomon was being as vague as he possibly could be. Partly because it would be pretty funny to see the the councilman's face and because he wanted to make sure he got their consent to show Pan otherwise he might be shot...

She huffs, keeping her eyes on him, though she does seem slightly more relaxed. "A number of reasons, really. Partially because I'm just sick of being alone. Since what you just saw, I've completely avoided everyone. For seven years. If it weren't for my species' more durable minds, I would have gone mad some time ago, I think."

She pauses for a moment, watching him. "And you? You say they hate you as well, why do you protect them?"

Thor glanced at the man who simply passed out and smiled whilst he shook his head, the amount of new information along with the fact that he was exhausted made his body simply shut down. The God then replied to Christopher "No, but there would be an unnatural amount of vegetation around her shop, that is the best lead I have. Why else would I have brought you along on this trip? Hades does not know himself precisely where she is, that is why he's worried."

The car had now come to a highway, and Thor could glimpse the skyline of New Jersey in a distance.

Mackenzie followed Will from the barracks, though she couldn't match his stride, so she stepped out behind him. She gave a slight sigh as she regarded Will, somehow she didn't believe the smile he was portraying; like he was perfectly alright with what had occurred. She nodded then, "Sounds like a plan." She stepped closer and slipped her hand into his, leaning slightly against his arm. "I need to make another stop when we're in town. I need to set something up for Ash, if you don't mind."

Ashley-May was thankful she was able to sooth Eli's sleep without him being disturbed from it, it pained her to watch the man struggle with nightmares, even if it was a common affliction among hunters, it was something she could not cure or prevent. As he started to settle and resume a restful sleep she started to turn to leave and return to her work, but paused as she heard him whisper her name. Once more she felt the warmth return to her chest, the flutter of nerves her stomach. She waited to see if he would wake, but when he didn't she chewed her lip. She didn't want to leave and him fall back into the nightmare, but she still had her work to do. After a moment of deliberation she released him to go and collect her charts and files before returning to the room. She pushed a chair next to his bed as quietly as she could. Now settled in the chair, she returned her hand to his, thumb gently stroking over the back of it while she went through the charts and updated the files on hand.

As they approached the city before them, Christopher glanced to Bruce and Aiden, "And luck with where to start us off?" He asked, Bruce only frowned at him but Aiden nodded. "Yea. There's a flower shop here, in Trenton, that boast about heavenly designs and that they have and enchanted florist." He looked to Chris. "I mean, it's a shot in the dark but it seems more likely than Adam's Flower Boutique."

Angela eyed Solomon carefully for a moment, uncertain why the man was being secretive. She frowned upon hearing that his friend wanted to apologize and she couldn't think of who would want to apologize for her. "If you'd like, go a head and call your friend." She couldn't see any danger in the man contacting his ally that might be able to help them with the Pack; at the very least if she spoke to this potential ally she would have more information to bring to the Council.

"Of course I don't mind," William said, squeezing Mackenzie's hand as he leaned into her slightly in turn. Heading toward the house and the Beast, his smile slowly deepened. "So, I was going to tell everyone back at the Clinic, but things got a little too... hectic. Something else happened at the Council meeting you should know about."

His hand reached into his pocket to fish out the key, showing it to Mac. "Compliments of the Council. A house in their neck of the woods -- for us, all of us. They just finished repairing it. I figure with Ash and the baby..." his voice trailed off.

Elijah slept contentedly as his breaths became slower, steadier. After several minutes, he stirred briefly, inhaling deeply. Hardly awake, his hand squeezed Ashley-May's instinctively. He let out an incoherent stream of mumbles as the grip tightened before going slack as he drifted back to sleep.

Solomon smiled when Angela said to go ahead and call him, " Then I will bring him here right away." Solomon said producing his silver knife from his waist. He could tell they were tense, but it was about to get a whole hell of a lot more tense. Holding the knife towards the empty space in front of him Solomon spoke in Hebrew, " Spirit of Panic and Nature show yourself before us. Obey your master and be released from your vessel: Pan!" The sigil on the knife glowed with power and in a flash there was Pan the God of the Wilds knelt down towards Solomon in prostration. A large sigil could be seen burned into his body as if it were still on fire. " Go on Pan... there was something you wished to say?"
Pan turned to face the few council members present. "I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused your Colony. I was more concerned with my home rather than the bigger picture."

Hypnos stopped circling her, his smile still feasting comfortably on his features, " I protect them because they hold the key to saving creation from destruction. If I can protect them, then maybe just maybe we'll all get out of the upcoming apocalypse somewhat intact."
Eliasdagood Eliasdagood

She listens, tilting her head. "The apocalypse? No wonder everyone's so antsy." She says softly. "Seriously didn't see that one coming." She pauses for a moment. "Out of curiosity, which apocalypse are we talking about? It seems like every culture has their own idea of what that word means."

Mackenzie glanced skeptically at the key given to Will from the Council, some how she doubted greatly they would appreciate her being apart of the offer, but she smiled none the less, hearing Will consider Ash and the future within Vitae. "You move quickly, Councilmen Hendrix." She gave him a sly wink as they arrived back at the house, she stopped along side the car and turned to face him. "We only had our first date yesterday and you're already asking me to move in?" She gave him a playful tisk before pulling the keys of the Beast from her pocket and adding them to his hand.

Ashley-May paused in her work at Eli stirred, cautiously watching and waiting to see if his nightmare was recurring. He spoke though not as clearly as before, but it seemed like he was settling back down into a restful, peaceful sleep. She glanced over the monitors waiting for her heart-rate to slow again before she was confident he had returned to sleep before she turned back to her work.

Angela watched Solomon carefully, at first in curiosity as to what he intended on doing with the knife, but in a short amount of time it was clear what had happened to the god that had threatened Vitae just the night before. She watched in horror as the god turned to speak to her, an apology she had little doubt was made under duress but she turned back to speak to Solomon directly. "You will put him away, if you wish to live the rest of this day." She couldn't believe the audacity of this man to bring Pan back into the colony, regardless if the god was controlled by him or not, he was lucky he was speaking to her alone and not the rest of the Council.

Chase Keaton/Joe Keaton

Chase arrived at the back end of the cabin panting, padding slowly to the back door. One simple glance around before he shifted at the bottom of the steps before moving inside with a quick pace. He closed the door behind him feeling a little more comfortable nude whilst inside, Chase looked about the cabin to make sure it was empty then strolled over to his bag and pulled out another pair of jeans and a plain white t-shirt out and slipped them on. Rummaging in the duffel-bag afterwards he grabbed his phone, eyeing the contacts before calling Will which was actually his fathers number.

Joe was content on the fact that the duo had left, turning around the man grabbed the small basket of laundry in one hand and begrudgingly grabbed the pastries left by Mackenzie in the other. He'd only gotten halfway towards the door when his phone started ringing forcing him to stop and place the bag of food on-top of the laundry and balance it in whilst he reached with the other into his pocket. "Chase?" He'd seen that it was Chase's number and contact but it didn't necessarily mean his son would be on the other end.

"Hey dad, I'm fine." Chase knew he had to get that out of the way, "You know where I am and everything is good." He'd walked towards one of the windows peering out of it towards the rest of the camp. It was hard to say if they could hear his side of the conversation or would even listen in but he wasn't too bothered. Whatever he said would go along with the story he'd told to Emile. It was awkward, Chase hadn't left Vitae on the best of terms with his father but still.

"Well at least that went well." Joe found himself wandering back towards his cot before taking a seat and setting the laundry and food on the ground beside him. "Knowing where you are doesn't sit well with me. Everything is good now but what happens when they find out why you're really there? Vitae goes down and you are the traitor that this pack will hunt to the ends of the earth."

Chase sighed, moving from the window and pacing around the cabin slowly. "I'm here to make sure things don't go that way. But..." Chase hesitated, this whole situation had changed since he'd arrived and learned the packs intentions, why they were doing this, and their future plans. Sharing this with Joe wasn't the best route to go, his father wouldn't listen to any of it. "Look, I'm safe here. I needed you to know that because I know that. I've got this, have some faith."

Joe opened his mouth to reply, he knew it was going to be a more frustrated response and stopped himself. "You just come back safe. That's all I care about, you get what you need and you get out. Understand?"

Chase smiled, pausing in his pacing. "Yes sir." He spoke sarcastically even if he completely meant it. Even if Chase knew it wasn't nearly as easy as that. The two continued on for a few minutes, leaving the conversation telling the other to stay safe as well as one favor. Afterwards Chase had to admit he felt like a burden had been lifted, he'd spoken to Joe and the man wasn't happy but at least the older man wasn't furious or planning something dumb. Then Chase proceeded to text Will, How's Elizabeth doing?

Solomon couldn't help but smile at Angela's reaction. It was so much better than he had thought it was going to be. " Return to your prison, Pan." Solomon said and with another flash of light the god was gone. " Honestly there's no need for threats Miss Angela. You wanted me to call my friend and I did. It's not like he can break free." Solomon said keeping the knife in his lap just in case he needed Pan to protect him. " He's no more a threat to the Colony than I am." Solomon said with a chuckle as he gestured to his current weak body. " So what now Miss Angela?"

The Dream shifted once more this time showing the Colony in ruins, bodies strewn about and strange creatures running around feasting on the corpses. " An entirely unknown one. The Beast from the Abyss known as the First Sin is being roused from his sleep, and there's only so much I can do to keep him asleep. There's a company actively trying to wake him but.... that's all I can share right now. Wake up Djinn, and fight for your new home, and your life."

William grinned at the comment. "What can I say? You inspire my daring side," he joked, leaning forward to give her a quick peck on the lips before looking down to see the key she had pressed into his hand.

He raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Are you sure you want me driving your baby? I've only done it once and that's because you weren't in a position to object," he remarked, his tone incredulous. And we both know how that turned out...

Feeling his phone buzz in his pocket, Will fished it out to see a text from Chase. As he expected, the man wanted to meet. He flipped the screen around for Mackenzie to see before tapping out a reply to let Chase know that his message had been received: She's doing fine. Misses you.

Ginny calmly opens her eyes, and stares at the upper bunk for a moment. Well, then. This time, it's the humans at risk of slaughter. She thinks to herself. She sits up, deep in thought. And also a god knows I'm here. Never did say his name… eh, I'll figure it out eventually. Really not what's important right now. I should see when training is.

At that point, her stomach rumbles, and she chuckles softly. Food first, though. Food is important."

Angela gave Solomon a nasty glare as she rose from her seat. "That's Councilmen Spatafora, thank you." She stated crisply, regarding the man harshly. "As I said we will assist you in recovering your property after the Pack is handled in return for your silence about what is coming; we do not need any more panic on our hands prior to this. " She took a deep breath before continuing. "I will speak further with the rest of the council in regards to your "help", we are not in a position to deny it, but I have little doubt to believe they will request your friends assistance to remain subtle. You are free to remain within Vitae under these conditions. If they do not suit you, you are free to leave."

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie smiled at the swift kiss from Will but she ultimately rolled her eyes as Will went on about driving her car, as much as she loved driving, she trusted Will and his capabilities with the Beast. "Probably better you drive, last time I was behind the wheel I threatened to put Eli's truck in the ditch." She paused as he read the text, a momentary fear that his ex had arrived swiftly; another sure sign that perhaps the two were not nearly as 'over' as Will had professed, but upon reading it, she glanced towards him. "I guess we'll be making another stop then." She said whilst he texted back. "It was for the better, she was thankful Chase had contact them now. Their explanation at the gates would be easier than attempting to leave twice in one day.

She pulled the door of the car open, and slipped inside, sliding across the bench to the passengers side and to where she had left the supplies she had collected earlier. She eyed them now, second guessing her intentions, but she knew it would be for the good of Ashley in the end, and that's what matter to her most now.

"Probably better you drive, last time I was behind the wheel I threatened to put Eli's truck in the ditch."

Will paused at the comment, his mouth forming a thin line. There was little mystery as to when the incident occurred, though that was a detail Elijah had neglected to mention. Mac didn't seem to be aware of the fact that it was his truck -- Elijah called it his "hulking testosterone wagon", not that it stopped him from driving it -- though she doubted it would have changed her mind at the time. William slid into the bench seat, settling in behind the steering wheel of the vintage sedan. It felt alien compared to his pickup -- the frenzied haul on the night he came to Vitae hadn't given him much time to acclimatize himself to the Beast.

Taking the key Mackenzie had given him, he inserted it and fired the Mainline up, nodding satisfactorily at the rumble of the engine. He couldn't stop the satisfied smile that came to his face as he shifted gears and rolled the Beast toward the front gate. As usual, Bart saw him off. Will explained that they were off to make a fuel run and check the nearby towns for silver or other useful supplies they may have missed. The guard seemed to accept the answer -- or at least wasn't willing to argue with a Councilman about it -- and signaled for the gate to open. William thanked him before heading out onto the road beyond.

"So," he turned to glance at Mac. "Chase first? How are we on gas?"

He had spotted the bag of odds and ends resting inside the vehicle when they got in and had a guess as to the purpose... not to mention the project Mackenzie had mentioned concerning Ashley-May. He elected to say nothing at the moment, trusting her to bring up the subject when she was comfortable... and when Hypnos might not be listening.

Chase read Will's text momentarily and paused before replying, trying to figure out how to simply signal when and where to meet. Send her my love. I'll have to visit and catch up sometime soon, same place as last time? Chase hoped Will understood that he was suggesting the same place Will had dropped him off. It was the simplest option. The man huffed not sure exactly how to convey a time, and to be honest he wasn't sure if he was able to get away now or later. Emile wasn't around, and though he'd stated Chase had free roam he didn't want to look suspicious for disappearing for a few hours.

Moving around the room he spotted a pen and pad on a small desk. If nothing else he'd simply leave a note that he was going to meet with his father.

Mackenzie smiled seeing the grin appear on Will’s face as the Beast rumbled to life, she was happy to see he had the same reaction to the noise and the feeling she did. He questioned where to go first and she glanced at the gas gauge. “We have enough to see Chase first.” Simply guessing on how long he had been gone when he had dropped the man off, it wasn’t that far. She heard his pocket buzz with what she assumed was a reply from Chase so she slipped her hand inside his pocket to retrieve the device. After a few second of figuring out how to unlock the display she read the text aloud before replying, rather slowly. Same place as always, what time should I tell her to expect you?

William glanced over at Mackenzie as she fumbled with the smartphone briefly before figuring out how to unlock it, smiling discreetly at the sight. He could tell by Chase's reply that the man intended to meet them at the drop-off point from the previous day. It made sense, of course. Far enough outside the Pack's territory to avoid suspicion but close enough for him to make on a run. Plus, both of them already knew the area well. Will began heading that way, having memorized the route without the need for GPS.

"He wants to meet at the drop-off," Will remarked. "The area should be clear, but we need to be careful," he said, before frowning. "May need to limit our exposure to him. If he's playing this off as a meeting with Joe, the last thing we need is him returning to the Pack with our scents."

fff_zps4rxngdyd.png

Chase stepped out on the front porch and reclaimed his earlier clothes he'd slept in, dropping them by his bag inside just as Will texted back. If he really hoofed it he could probably get there within the hour. Lunch time most likely. Chase quickly returned to the desk and scribbled a note and left it on the center of the kitchen table.

My dad wanted to meet, I'll be back before the celebration. - Chase

Though considering the direction he might end up running to Emile on the way, which could prove awkward. Chase stripped once again leaving his clothes by the back porch this time, then shifted into his wolf form before leaving back into the woods at a brisk pace.

Thor shrugged, he agreed, it seemed like a good place to start "Should we wake him up?" Thor asked Christopher, looking at the man who had passed out "Or is he coming back with us to Vitae?". Thor then proceeded to look outside and examine the streets and it's people, he would fit in better here with his blue suit, for there was plenty that were more formally dressed here. Across the river Thor saw the city of New York, it's towers among the most impressive on Earth, not that they impressed him though. He knew that Newark acted as some sort of a hotel for those who worked in New York, it was simply too expensive and there was too few homes for everyone who worked in that city to live there.

Mackenzie returned the phone to Will's pocket, giving it a pat for good measure before she nodded. "I'll keep my distance." She knew the pack would know her scent faster than they would recognize any others, besides she doubted greatly that Chase was going to hug either of them. "I can't imagine what he's already found out that he needs to meet so soon. I thought it would be at least a couple of days before he was contacting us." It worried her slightly, the escalated time-line, that maybe Chase had discovered something worse than what the Pack's original intentions were.

She didn't bother moving back to the passenger side of the bench seat from when she had moved closer to Will, instead she glanced towards her supplies debating once more if, when she should tell him. "At least once we get to town, after this is done, we can relax a little."

Safton Safton

upload_2017-6-18_18-44-23.jpeg
William understood -- and shared -- Mackenzie's concerns about the meeting. Several possible scenarios ran through his mind about what could possibly encourage Chase to arrange an immediate meeting after joining the Pack... none of them were pleasant. After all, he took a major risk making the journey to meet them, so he hardly the luxury of standard progress reports. Whatever he had, it was likely major. Regardless, they would know soon enough.

"At least once we get to town, after this is done, we can relax a little."

Will arched an eyebrow as he glanced over at Mac. "Miss Cannonach, do my ears deceive me or was that you asking me on another date?" he asked, hoping to ease the tension during the drive.

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie's eyes widened and smirk appeared on her lips, she shifted to lean back against the bench seat, head resting on the seat behind her as her dark eyes turned up to peer at William. "Well," She smiled playfully, "I only know of two dating scenarios," She held up one finger and continued. "High school sweethearts drinking in the park after dark, sex in the back seat of the car, but that one always leads to crying and pregnancy and I think we have enough of that back at Vitae." A second finger joined the first. "Option two always looks nice: fancy clothing, great food, dancing and a nice hotel, but I think one of them is always a hooker." She let her eyes trail down his form then back up, her grin spreading. "Not a bad option actually."

Safton Safton

upload_2017-6-18_20-45-7.jpeg
William smiled broadly at Mackenzie's "scenarios", raising one hand from the wheel to rub his chin thoughtfully. "Hm. Both choices definitely have their merits... though for that second you might have to settle for bad dancing and a cheap motel," he remarked playfully. He had caught her gaze roving down his body from the corner of his eye and was sorely tempted to return the favor, though he knew doing so would probably end up with the Beast in a ditch or wrapped around a tree. Instead, he contented himself with lowering the hand from his chin to place it gently on Mac's knee that was still nestled alongside him on the bench seat. His thumb rubbed small circles as he added, "But I'm all for finding a compromise if you are."
