Mackenzie had received the reaction she wanted with her god comment, she had hoped it would put him at ease, knowing at least she had some semblance of a plan. That she wasn't running off half cocked and threatening gods, like she had done so already. At least this time she understood what she needed to do, it was a matter of piecing the bits together. At much as Hypnos was a near constant wealth of free knowledge, it did not come in any sort of order. Somethings were simply abstract whilst others were clear and concise and she was just very thankful that none of them were visions.

Her brow furrowed slightly as she watched Will's eyes travel behind them and she thought to follow his line of sight but instead his focus was returning on her list. She smiled feeling his playful kiss but she slowly shook her head. "No," She said quietly, with Will leaning downwards towards her she was able to slip her free hand behind his neck, standing on her toes. "More like this." She murmured quietly, kissing his lips fully, dark eyes closing to enjoy the moment. She could careless of onlookers at this point; too many times in the last forty-eight hours she had nearly lost him. There was no time to waste on worry about what other people thought.

Brendan did not have to travel far to find the two wayward council members, seemingly on a stroll hand in hand. This only annoyed the man more so and before he could even get close to either of them, they were kissing. He stopped a few feet before them, giving them time to work out what ever residual teen-age hormones these two clearly still had stored within them before clearing his throat.

"I'm glad I found you two," He said rather sarcastically. "Here the Council and I were worried you two had been caught up in some sort of nefarious plot twist Pan subjected to you, but I'm glad to see that while the rest of Vitae were huddled together in fear of not seeing the light of the next day, you two found yourself a love connection." He raised a hand to prevent either of them from speaking. "I don't want to hear any of it. You're both expected at the meeting in a hour, someone needs to explain to the council what the hell happened in New York yesterday, and why a building was destroyed."

With a final look of disgust Brendan turned on his heel and strode away, intent on returning to his home to change and refresh before the meeting. Like hell he was going to arrive disheveled.

Alaric leaned inwards to speak quietly to her, into her ear, and what he said only made her angrier. He took a step back, doing an effective job of looking sheepish but she was no fool, or so she thought. "Are you insane?" She was still angry, still glaring at the man. While she was aware Joe was still very much present for this conversation, she certainly was not about to abandon her job because he wanted to talk privately. "I'm not pregnant." She stated flatly, becoming more annoyed with the angel. "You would think you could come up with something better than that to get me out of here." She rolled her eyes and leaned back in the chair.

"I'm not going anywhere, not until we're done here. This is for Eli." She would not give over to the angel stubborn as she was, she couldn't help Eli in surgery, she could help him here.

Alaric sighed, desperate times called for desperate measures. He walked over to Ashley, placed one hand on her stomach, and one hand on her head, and projected the image of the conceived egg in its proper place, then pulled away, looking at her. "You don't really think I would lie to you, do you Ashley?" he asked, sounding genuinely hurt by her accusations. He would never joke about something like this, especially when it puts her life in danger. He also glanced at Joe awkwardly. "I really apologize for any unrest this may be causing you..." he says.

Larissa blinked, she had not expected so many people to respond to her. Then she looked at the men who spoke to her, looking to the younger one first. She couldn't decide if he was flirting or now, with his choice of words. "I... would appreciate it if you didn't call me 'darling'," she says simply. "However, nice to meet you Jackson," she says holding her hand out to him to shake. "My name is Larissa," she adds, then looks at Bart. "Um, I'm answering the call of Vitae, I'm here to help," she says in a serious tone, with a soft smile.

William gave himself into the kiss, returning it with eyes closed and savoring the precious few seconds of bliss that it brought. It didn't last. At the sound of a throat being cleared and Brendan's caustic tone, William abruptly broke the contact out of surprise. He turned to face his fellow Councilman, his expression impassive as Brendan proceeded to berate them. A part of Will could understand his anger -- he had only a small part of the picture, no sense of context or what had happened over the last 24 hours. He could only imagine what Brendan and the other Colonists had gone through. Confusion -- and anger -- were natural. When he finally paused, Will opened his mouth to reply, only for the Elder to silence him with a raised hand.

"I don't want to hear any of it. You're both expected at the meeting in a hour, someone needs to explain to the council what the hell happened in New York yesterday, and why a building was destroyed."

Will pursed his lips, what little empathy he had for the older man dwindling, as he watched him turn and walk away. When Brendan was finally out of earshot, Hendrix shook his head. He didn't need a reminder of what happened in New York and neither did Mac. Hoping to quickly clear the air, Will grunted lightly. "You know, I think we're growing on him," he remarked with a smirk.

Alex dashed behind a car parked near the gates. She held a donut in one hand, and a Monster can in the other. Eyeing the people gathered, she pressed her finger to her lips. "GREY! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Alex calmly sat on her heels, chewing a bite of lemon jelly donut.
Kyle came storming around a corner, eyes glaring around for Alex. He spotted her combat boots under a car. "Oh, Grey... I see you..."
Through her rather large bite, Alex retorted, "I bet you wish you were as good looking as me." Kyle scowled. "Not likely. Now give me back my breakfast. I need my caffeine." Alex stood up and threw the Monster to him, shoving another bite in her mouth. "Fine. You get your caffeine back, but I keep the donut. It's the last lemon, and I never got any." "You never bought any!" Alex responded by shoving another bite in the bottomless pit she called a mouth. "Bite me."

Daniella rolled her eyes as he used the word darling. It's the way he flirts the way he gets al the girls in school that it gets annoying. She went up to the both of them and says "I think I can introduce myself thank you very much", Daniella turned to the girl which her name was Larissa she believes and says "I'm sorry about my brother he tends to do that as his little charmer, but it's nice to meet you just call me Dani". Daniella is a very nice person but also very deadly its like the phrase people use like "Flies like a butterfly but sting like a bee" type of girl she is. Her brother in the other hand can say is like one of those "Jocks" in high school and so immature.

Jackson studied her every move the way the wind blew her hair lightly and her appearance in every way he could study her and than out of his thoughts he hears the girl say "I.. would appreciate it if you didn't call me 'darling'", before he could respond she adds "However, nice to meet you Jackson", he say her bring out her hand to shake and he accepted her. "My name is Larissa". Before he could respond Daniella walked into the moment insulting him and all he could do was sigh about what she said about him. That he wanted to rip her little head off, but if he did that his father would kill him.. What a day for Jackson

Admittedly Joe wasn't expecting Ashley to say...that. She wasn't trying to deny that she had, well, lain with an angel. "I'm so glad I don't have to worry about this sort of situation with Chase." Joe more or less froze like a deer in headlights at the realization that he'd said that out loud instead of in his head where it was meant to be. With a sheepish smile he waved dismissively, "It's the blood loss."

Afterwards he was planning to stay quiet, he really was. But as a father he had some base instincts that just wouldn't allow it. "Ashley." He'd smile at her the more stern calm dad tone coming out, "Whether it's true or not maybe just go ahead and stop just to be safe. We have my blood and that should be plenty." Joe would turn his head upwards at Alaric, "And you. Angel or not there were surely better ways to go about this, and when she calls you answer." With that said he went back to pretending he wasn't there and not listening when in fact he was on both accounts.

Mackenzie had stood, shocked, as Brendan berated them like children. Several times she thought to interrupt, give him a piece of her mind, but he simply just went on! Even when the man was done, he was turning and leaving, not allowing either of them to interject a word. She frowned as she watched him leave, annoyed. The man had always vexed her. She felt like more often than not he over stepped his bounds when it came to everyone else's business. She had thought Brendan's accusations would have soured Will's mood but instead it seemed to do the opposite.

The smile slowly returned to her lips as she heard his comment. "Yeah, like an invasive species." She gave the man's hand a gentle squeeze, still having difficulty understanding exactly how it was they had managed to find each other. While she wanted nothing more to stay and ponder the moment she nodded towards the clinic. "Shall we?"

Ashley had watched Alaric's approach with an annoyed disregard, uncertain of what exactly his plan had been. Once it was over, what ever it was he had done, she simply stared at him in disbelief. It had been only hours... not even twenty-four. "I....uh.." She was at a loss, honestly, there was just too many questions, and she had no idea where to start. It was Joe that snapped her from her thoughts, suggesting that she do, indeed, end her donation and she nodded slowly. Hands on autopilot she worked at kinking the tubing with the provided clip before removing her IV. She didn't need to tell Joe that what Alaric had shown her was the truth.

Once she had herself unhooked, she went to check on Joe's donation and found it near complete. She attempted to smile, push through the torrent of complicated feelings and put on her best nurse face. "You're all done." She said quietly, turning off the machine and starting to unhook him as well. "But don't move around just yet, okay? You need to stay seated for another fifteen minutes, or longer since you already got light headed." Once he was free, she taped a piece of gauze over IV sight. "Thanks, Joe."

Bart regarded Larissa for a moment, as though trying to decide what to do, but he knew very well he couldn't turn away a hunter, this was Vitae after all. He turned to the wall and whistled, catching the attention of another guard and waving him down. "Alright, miss. " He said, putting on his best smile. "Ricky here will get you all set up for admission. " He gave her a quick nod before moving to the other side of Wells' car, signalling him to follow.

Once away from ear shot Bart continued what he had been saying earlier. "Yea. Wolves. Big pack of 'em, threatening to take us out next full moon. So, I'll get you and yours in, but you just be mindful of what ya'll do in there. Already had a couple of issues with the locals believing there are wolf lovers in there, to you got me?" He was removing the iron flask with holy water to hand to Wells; the first test.

Ricky had climbed down the rope ladder and jogged the short distance to Larissa. "Hey!" The young man said with a smile, he was already digging out his own iron flask and silver blade. "No one gets in without the tests." He explained. "Just trying to keep us all safe." He held out the objects to Larissa, friendly enough smile renaming on his features.

Hypnos had been tidying things up within his home when he sensed something... very strange go on with his Oracle Mackenzie. The bond between them was being suppressed. So much so that he could no long easily dig through her mind. Hypnos couldn't waste energy to investigate this problem. He would confront her tonight about the matter in her dreams, and if need be help her. After all it was quite strange that the bond would be weakened so drastically. Before he did anything about it however he was going to need to rest and recover his energy from the sleeping side of the earth.

After breaking the God's enchantment, it was much easier than he thought it would be, Solomon made his way through the forest. As he walked Solomon began scribbling a magic circle inside a notebook that was among his belongings. After studying and breaking the enchantment of the nature god Solomon was fairly confident that he could subjugate it. It seemed to be weak from a lack of faith, like so many gods in today's era, so if he was going to now was the time. However first he would have to make some preparations.

It took a good 30 minutes but Solomon managed to draw out the magic circles he would need to capture the God. First was a protection circle that would keep him safe from its attacks and the other was the summoning circle that would turn into his prison. With his preparation complete Solomon cut him hand and bled into both circles his ancient bloodline serving as power for the magic and bait for his prey.

And what a bait it was. It wasn't but a moment after the blood hit the circles that Pan was beckoned forth. However what he wasn't expecting was to be trapped by a magic circle. Putting his hands together in a praying like motion Solomon shouted out incantations over the angered screams of the Wild God. The incantations were designed to only work on beings trapped within magical circles and served to dole out pain and weaken a spirit until it broke. Large gashes began to appear all over Pan's body his golden blood splattering onto the magic circle. It would take a good 10 minutes of this tortuous process before Solomon finally managed to weaken the Wild god enough to use a binding spell, forcing him into a prone position.

Solomon himself wasn't doing well at all. The spells use part of his own spirit to damage to god and bring him down. The fight had lasted a lot longer than what he was expecting and blood was gently dripping from his mouth and eyes. He had used far too much of his own spirit in one time, but for him the payout was well worth it. All that was left was the offer. The way to end the pain. Solomon knelt down to the pinned God still and asked him, " So Pan... what do you think? Will you become my first pillar?" It was a question Solomon had been asking all through the past 10 minutes and finally he had forced a yes out of him. With a strained smile Solomon produced the dagger he had used to carve the circles into the ground. " Then by this blade you are bound into my service Pan." Solomon stabbed the blade into the god's head and a pulse of power the circle activated its secondary purpose and forced the God into the metal vessel, sealing him within the metal of the blade. Now on the blade a distinct mark was burned into the blade itself. It was the mark of their contract. A promise that Pan would be released in the event of Solomon's death.

With the subjugation over Solomon breathed a sigh of relief as well as began coughing up blood from the exertion. His body was racked with fatigue and pain. It was all he could do to stay conscious. He needed to get to the Colony quickly before he passed out. After what seemed like an eternity Solomon stumbled out of the woods his red blood caking his well tailored clothing. It wasn't long after that he fell to the ground in front of the gate still clutching the knife that held the Wild god within.

Danielson followed Brat as he singled hik to follow. Once the got an ear shot away Bart says "Yea.Wolves. Big pack of 'em threading to take us out next full moon. So, I'll get you and yours in, but just be mindful of what ya'll do in there. Already had a couple of issues with the locals believing there are wolf lovers in there, to you got me?". Daniel nodded his head in understanding knowing the problems are already happening already in Vitae. He saw that Bart started taking out the iron flask and the holy water, the first test. He took the holy water first pouring it on his arm seeing there was no effect one him and the he took the iron and sees there was no effect on her either so that means he has passed the first test.

Alaric watched her, arms crossed. He was nervous, he knew it hadn't been long, but he knew that Ashley understood he was telling the truth. He glanced at Joe, with this kind of look that asked the man to not speak of this to anyone. Not in a threatening way, just in the more generalized avoiding drama way, before looking to Ashley. Beautiful, sweet Ashley. For a brief moment, he let himself be distracted from his thoughts about the consequences of this baby, and just smiled, watching her work. He wasn't going to come to regret having found himself at the mercy of her love, no matter what, but he was worried that she was going to have a change of heart, especially after this revelation.

Larissa smiled at Daniella and nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you, both of you," she said nodding to Jackson as well as they shook hands. While yes, his flirt had been rejected, she also understood a bit about sibling rivalry and didn't want to just go along with whatever Daneilla said, so she was going to be friendly towards Jackson regardless. Then one of the two older gentlemen told her to speak with Ricky, pointing to where he was. "Thank you very much," she says and heads over to the man named Ricky and smiled brightly.

He explained the iron flask and silver knife and she nodded briskly. "Gotcha, makes sense," she says and she took the flask, took a swig from it, then she took the knife and cut into her skin, which was when a man plopped to the ground at the gate, completely bloody. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed, dropping the flask and knife to the ground, ignoring her own open wound she'd created. It had been small anyway, but still enough to prove she wasn't anything allergic to silver. She got on her knees next to the man and looked for a wound so she could apply pressure, at the same time speaking to Ricky. "Find whoever is in charge of medical here! Hurry!" she exclaims.

Joe gave a small flex of his arm after it was unhooked to push any soreness out before rolling his sleeve back down, he'd merely nodded at Ashley's thankyou. Though her warning to stay seated went in one ear and out the other, stubborn runs in the family. Once he had the opening he pushed off the seat to stand, quickly he realized why she'd warned him and decided to sit back down instead with a huff. The older man glanced at the Angel whom had stayed quiet since his...tip. Joe knew that Alaric knew that Chase was a Werewolf, and even about the mountain incident. Not to mention the transporting his son back to Vitae while shifted, though Chase mentioned the angel intervened before things got out of hand.

Ashley seemed rather quiet so Joe took it upon himself to attempt a change of subject, "I'm Joe by the way, I believe you've met my son Chase. How's the angelic life treating you?"

William smiled at Mackenzie's remark, despite the tongue-lashing they'd just received. Will didn't kid himself thinking Brendan would forget this, or that it wouldn't... complicate matters. The truth was that he couldn't bring himself to care at the moment. He would deal with the Council when the time came, not sooner. They had an hour to spare.

Will felt a gentle squeeze of his hand. "Shall we?"

He nodded, once again heading toward the Clinic, drawing near. Will paused at the entrance, turning to meet the dark eyes alongside him. "Thank you, Mac. As soon as all of this is wrapped up: Elijah, the Council... we can talk about everything. The gods, the Pack..." his tone grew quiet. "...Us." He paused before adding, "If you want."

Mackenzie gave Will a quizzical frown as he thanked her, she certainly did not feel it was necessary. She did this because she cared for him, for them. Something like a hunters bond, she was well aware the two men had been instrumental in her survival the first night she had 'met' them. She gave a a slight and oddly sheepish shrug, as though to say it was nothing, but her smile widened as he heard his offer to talk, about everything, the laundry list. She watched him carefully for a moment, but then nodded. "It's a date."

She reached for the clinic door and pulled it open, holding it for him to step in first, it would give him the option to release her hand; she didn't know where Eli was at this point, how far along they had managed to tend to him. For all she knew he could be sitting in bed with that cocky British grin and maybe Will didn't want to flaunt something nice before the man who had very nearly died? But then she was always the awkward creature; she didn't know or understand how things like this worked, she'd never felt like this toward anyone.

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley regarded Joe carefully after the man had attempted to stand, when she had told him not to. It was a typical hunter thing, so far as she'd seen. Mac, Will, Eli, all the same, including Chase from what she'd learned. She couldn't up and leave, not yet. She collected Joe's donation, and the tubing with used IV kits and carried them across the clinic. Tossing the tubing and kits into the bio-bin, she found herself a sharpie to write the details of Joe's donation. She knew the Clinic was not particularly picky about the blood they received from the locals; there was a great deal of trust, but she knew the info they truly cared about: blood type, date and time.

Once she was done she added the bag to the fridge, knowing the doctor would come and deal with it as they needed. She was well aware she was a glorified nurse to the doctors of the clinic, but with more training and certification. She knew Alaric wanted to go speak privately, for very obvious reasons, but she didn't want to stray far from the Clinic. She wanted to be near when Elijah was cleared, when the doctor had something to say. She was about to tell him as much as the front door opened, Will and Mac standing out front. Holding hands. At the very least she knew her episode the night before hadn't ruined what they had been building.

Bart was about to administer the second test, the silver knife, to Wells knowing full well he'd unsheathed his steel blade instead when he heard Larissa calling out for help. "Well shit." He cursed, returning the blade to it's home before striding to the fallen man. He was beginning to wonder how many more hunters would arrive to Vitae in this fashion? Stumbling from the woods bloodied and half dead. He gave Ricky a quick shove. "Quit your starting boy, go get the stretcher." He knew no one from the clinic was going to run down here to collect the man.

The gates being being dragged open and Ricky was soon returning with another to load up Solomon on to the stretcher they carried between them. "Alright, get him out of here." The two guards carried Solomon beyond the gates, heading for the clinic, Bart was already texting from his phone, giving which ever doctor's pager a heads up they had incoming. Once done he turned to the four hunters at the gates. "It can't be safe out here if he's just shown up like that. Let's get ya'll inside before what ever got him, gets us." He would wait, always the last man in.

As Solomon was carried off to the clinic he had a rather strange dream. It was of what he assumed was his ancestor, King Solomon, and the sealing of his first pillar away. It was quite a vivid dream it was almost as if he was really there. He could feel the cold desert night As the demon cursed in Hebrew while it was being brought to heel. Apparently it was much easier for his namesake to quell the demon as he had already received the divine knowledge from the angel. The dream was cut short however as he was pricked with a needle for a much needed blood transfusion.

Dazed and confused Solomon just looked at the staff before remembering what happened and began looking for his knife. Not being able to find it he called out, " Excuse me? Has anyone seen the knife I had with m it's very important to me." As his faculties came back to him Solomon noticed the distinct signature of the Divine. There was another set of wards surrounding the Colony. However these wards were much stronger than the ones Pan had created. The last thing he needed to do was instigate a god he couldn't deal with.

Danielson knew what the second test was when he brought out the knife. He knew that he couldn't be cut with it because he was a wolf just like the twins. Bart knew that he was a wolf when he got cut with the blade a couple years back but he didn't mind it, we still hunter together back than until the death of his wife Jacqualine. When he saw that the knife he was going to cut his skin with was steel he thought everything was going to be fine and his kids are safe and sounds until he smelt the blood from a man behind me. Daniel and Bart ran to the man to help him get on the stretchers so he could go to the doctor to get looked like. When he was pushed away by Rick, Bart was busy texting on the phone and when he looked up he said "It can't be safe out here if he's just shown up like that. Let's get ya'll inside before what ever got him, gets us". Daniel nodded and asked to the twins join us as Bart was behind them both and Daniel siad "Be nice, no growling at anyone, Jackson watch you sister". They walked inside together going into Vitae.
tumblr_inline_nszdzvn4c91rrrkde_500.gif

After what just went down and him getting embarrassed by his own twin sister in front of a girl. He didn't care about what Daniela thought about him but it's what other people thought about him. Jackson smelt a weird, it was the normal smell but also the smell of blood. Jackson watched the guy get pulled away in the streatchers into the colony. He saw that his father was going inside so he followed along with his sister while saying "Be nice, no growling at anyone, Jackson watch your sister". Jackson nodded at his father's command and did what was told which is protect his sister. As walking he saw place called Vitae for the first time and saw how it was like for the others that answered the calling. However something just didn't smell right, but he kept in mind of what he had to do Protect and Kill if needed.

"It's a date."
William smiled, nodding as Mackenzie opened the door for him, never pulling her hand from his. He hesitated at the threshold. He'd stepped foot in the Clinic just a few days ago, but now the building seemed foreboding. Somewhere in there, his best friend was fighting for his life... and it was his fault in no small part. The bliss of the walk with Mac had been an amazing diversion for his thoughts... but a temporary one. Whatever carefree mood he'd been able to latch onto just moments before had evaporated the moment Mackenzie opened that door.

Will took a deep breath before entering... not letting go of Mac as he did so. There was no point in hiding whatever it was they shared now and more to the point, he didn't want to. Whatever awaited him inside, he wanted to face it with her at his side. His eyes took in the waiting room and the three figures already inside. He gave Alaric only the slightest of nods. He didn't recognize the middle-aged man present, a bandage wrapped around his arm. His attention lay with Ashley-May. Approaching slowly, he struggled to keep his tone steady. "How is he?"

A nurse was soon at Solomon's side, taking his hand and pressing her own to his arm, to keep him stationary. "Don't worry about your belongings, sir. They're all right here and that's where they'll stay until you're recovered." She pat his arm gently. "Can you tell us your name?" Often enough people came into Vitae like this, thus far they had been lucky enough to not have any fatalities. Solomon had been brought around the side of the Clinic, through the makeshift 'emergency' room, which really was an old loading bay, but it got the job done.

He would find himself in a small sparsely decorated room, really only the bed he lay on and the set of monitors he was currently attached to. Two concrete walls made up part of the 'room' whilst the remainder were erected medical stands holding curtains for privacy. This was Vitae's recovery ward.

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley watched Will's hesitation to enter the Clinic, but when he did he made a straight line towards her. Direct and to the point, she didn't think Will had any other way about it. She offered him a gentle smile, reaching out to touch his arm. "They haven't come out, yet." She said, hopefully. "But we got him here with enough time." She didn't want to go into details, but she did want to make sure Will was reassured. "No bites, and Mac and I got the bleeding under control before we moved him." She nodded towards the older gentlemen in the room. "Joe, Chase's dad, brought us here, really made the difference."

She glanced momentarily to Mac, attempting to judge the other woman's temperament. She had seemed well enough when she had woke this morning, but neither had discussed what had occurred the day before. She wanted to apologize for how she had acted, but she knew well enough this wasn't the time.

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie remained at Will's side as the man marched for Ashley, making her walk at nearly double pace, but she was just as anxious to find out how Eli was doing. She was disappointed to find that Ashley knew nothing, and she was once more squeezing Will's hand. She leaned slightly closer to his side, glancing up towards him. "We would sit," She suggested, "Get some rest?" She knew she would never convince him to go back to the house, but if she could get him to relax a bit here, they would be ready for when there was news.

She was aware of Alaric and 'Joe' within the room, but she remained entirely focused on Will, she knew the man well enough to know he would take full responsibility for Eli's injuries, only because she knew she'd do the same thing in his position. As it were she still felt responsible for the Pan-Trail occurrence; yet another topic to broach with Hypnos at the next opportunity.

Solomon attempted to calm himself as the nurse and a few other medical personnel attended to him. He knew that this was the best place for him, but at the same time he didn't feel comfortable being in an unwarded room with an unknown god running around. The Magic circles he had tattooed into his skin recently would cloak him from just about anything from demons to angels, but gods were different. Different pantheons required that the circles be changed. He had spent far too long on the run by himself. He would have to work on his paranoia. After all everyone else seemed to be fine. Perhaps the god was kind.

Taking a deep breath Solomon calmed himself and said, " My name is Solomon David (Da-veed). I am a man of letters and currently the patriarch of the order." Solomon explained as if he was clarifying his own identity rather than explaining it. That dream he had was quite confusing for him. " I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving me." He said with a smile clashing the nurses hand then looking around the room. It wasn't exactly a hospital but he had dealt with worse that was for sure.

Little did he know that his ring was like a beacon to any divine being within the colony. Almost calling out to them so that it may make from its slumber.

Joe turned his head towards the entrance to see a man and woman enter, the female he recognized from the entrance and at Ashley's words confirmed his suspicion as the Mackenzie he'd heard of. Then Chase emerged and started his direction and Joe caught the look and shook his head and spoke up before he started getting grilled by his son. "Just gave some blood, nothing to worry about. Ashley here has been making sure I eat and not do anything stupid like stand up too soon like a fool." At that he winked at the blonde woman, that insignificant attempt at standing moments earlier would be their secret and forgotten.

Chase had kept a fair distance behind the pair as they moved on towards the clinic, and when the three arrived he noted the vehicle he and his dad owned outside before following them inside. So going inside was killing two birds with one stone, checking on Elijah and letting his dad know where he was going and that he was taking the vehicle. The man sort of slipped in behind them and maneuvered around towards his father, listening to what Ashley said about Elijah. Though the sight of him sitting in the chair had Chase giving the older man a questioning look.

He paused behind Joe's chair and rested his hands against it. It looked as though he would only be killing one bird instead. Chase tapped Joe's shoulder so that the older man would look up at him, "Going out for lunch." It was a code phrase they'd come up with, that if he needed to go hunt he'd say. Joe understood but before the older man attempted to get up Chase rested his hands on his fathers shoulders, "I can get it, might bring you something back. Just wanted to let you know I was borrowing the car." Chase continued the small charade for anyone who was paying attention to the two's conversation. Joe didn't look too pleased when he looked back up at Chase but the younger man just nodded and that seemed to ebb away at any reservations Joe might have had.

William stood, almost stoic, as Ashley relayed the situation to him, nodding several times. He did his best to remain clinical as his training demanded, assessing the information he was being given in the most objective way possible. For many civilian doctors, it was an impossible standard when the patient in question was a friend or family member. But it was something that had been expected from him years ago, in another life -- that he might be patching up bullet & blast wounds on a man he'd been sharing a barracks with just days before. A man he considered a brother. As it turned out, that very thing happened -- more than once. And each time, he realized that keeping that kind of objectivity just wasn't in him, for better or worse. The subconscious sigh of relief at Ashley's declaration that Elijah had been free of any bite wounds revealed that he'd lost the battle this time, too.

As Mackenzie gently prompted him to sit, Will nodded reluctantly. Turning back to Ash, he mouthed, Thank you before heading to the nearest seat and sitting down alongside Mac, still maintaining his gentle grip on her hand. He watched as Chase entered, quickly making a beeline to the middle-aged man and speaking to him about leaving. It clicked immediately: this was Chase's father. Even if he hadn't met Chase before now, the demeanor and silent interplay between the two would have made it clear soon enough. Remembering what Ashley had mentioned about Joe's contribution with Elijah -- not to mention the fact that he'd clearly just given blood in a further effort to help out -- Will leaned forward in his chair slightly. "Thank you, for what you did. Elijah's a friend... it means a lot that you'd go out of your way for a stranger," he said, his tone quiet but sincere.

Alaric blinked as he had an idea, a way to make it up to Ashley. "I could heal anyone who needs it, Ashley," he offered with a warm smile, that was obviously only done for her, after all, that's how love works. He looked to Joe for a moment, before turning back to Ashley, awaiting her answer, then Will and Mackenzie walked through the doors and started conversing. He chose to stand, slightly behind Ashley, listening, and waiting patiently.

Larissa got up and started following everyone into the colony, looking around, taking everything in. She'd never been inside a Hunter colony before, and all the hunters she ever learned from, told her it was always best to work solo. She went against her better judgement when she heard that Vitae was looking for help. She wanted to try to be of medical use, as she'd taken the time over the last several years to study medical text books, so that she might be the equivalent to a doctor, though she didn't have permission to do so within this colony yet, which is why she let that man be taken to the people who were already the established medical people within the colony.

"So, where do I go from here? I wished to speak to someone about how I might contribute to the help of the colony," she says with a bright smile. Larissa, was the name she had given Jackson, but only because she didn't fully trust him yet. He wouldn't be able to find any information on her as that person anymore, since she changed her legal name to Nidelia, and deleted all the records of Larissa Kenton. But she would tell whoever is in charge.

The nurse pat Solomon's hand. "Well don't thank us yet. You've stumbled into the beginning of a war." She slowly broke free from his grasp, "What brings you to Vitae, Mr. David?" She asked, now that he was conscious and clearly on the mending path, she needed more answers for him coming here, not to mention, to administer the tests the gate notified them that they did not perform. As she spoke she withdrew a small silver pendant, holding open Solomon's hand she placed the object within it, and waited to see if he would react to the metal. The other two tests were obsolete; if her were possessed it would have been clear when they were tending to his wounds.

Ashley had been watching Joe and Chase interact, she had certainly caught Joe's wink; there would be no worry about her telling Chase. He'd learnt his lesson well enough and seemed to be recovering quiet well. While on the subject of secrets she suddenly remembered why she had sought out Mac in the first place: the vampire! As she turned to face Will and Mac, she didn't feel like he didn't deserve to know this, she heard Alaric's offer.

"I could heal anyone who needs it, Ashley,"

She blinked, stunned for a moment before shaking her head. "Oh my goodness! Rick!" A smile spread across her face, suddenly excited. "Elijah's in the back, he was nearly killed by Pan. Can you heal him?" She didn't really doubt that he could, do this, and she was already striding towards the doors that lead into the back room; where patient recovery was.

Mackenzie remained at Will's side, though found growing awkwardness at their connection. While she adored the affection and attention, she found it hard not to feel like they were being watched, judged. No doubt that it was her own paranoia, she made a point of ignoring the feeling. She had no clue how Will came to this so naturally, even now he was speaking to Joe causally, it was impressive, or at least it was to her.

From the corner of her eye she could see Ashley become excited over something, and she watched the blonde head into the back. She was hopeful that maybe she was getting or had received an update about Eli. Already Mac was devising a way to get Will out of the Council Meeting, it wouldn't be fair to drag him away from the Clinic until he knew how his partner was. She knew it would take some trickery and a little bit of fibbing on her end, but there wasn't much she wouldn't do to make him smile.

Bart ushered the new hunters into Vitae, standing and waiting for the gates to be fully closed before turning to face them again. "Barracks are just down the road there on your left, by all means park your car out front." He said, pointing. "The Council is about to do their morning meeting, after that Councilmen Jack, he's in charge of new hires, will come by and see you ya'll." He certainly was not about to hold anyone's hands. He did his due diligence, mostly.

To Larissa he said. "You miss, you'll have to speak on Brendan about that, he'll assign you where he needs you." He glanced over to Wells and his kids. "I'll call up Jon Diffey, he's the man who puts together housing, I'll see what I can find to get you and your kids somewhere together." Bart knew that Vitae had made a point of getting families homes where they could live together, outside the barracks.

Joe looked towards William as the other man thanked him, "We look out for our own in these walls right? I'm no doctor or anything of the sort but the least I can do is provide transport when asked, and what's a little blood." He kept relaxed back in his seat for the time being.

"Keep me updated." He told his dad, assuming the man would likely stay nearby for the time being. Then with a quick pat the older mans shoulder he moved back towards the door, shooting a sympathetic nod at William as he passed. Not knowing is the worst part and that much he understood. Chase might have hung around for some news but he wasn't sure he should wait. Once outside he slipped into the Toyota and started for the gates.

Solomon just smiled as the silver pendant was pressed against his palm, " No need to worry about that test, my ring is silver." Solomon said looking to his right hand to find that his ring was also gone. Probably at the sake place his other belongings were, "Ah... never mind then. Um, I came to Vitae because I'm running from the usual demons." Solomon said with a charismatic smile, " I think they're attracted to my ring and mistake me for my ancestor. Other than my flight I bring news of a threat on the horizon. A dark being that could very well be the end of us." Solomon didn't want to talk too much about what that threat was mainly because he didn't know. His scrying only revealed that there was some chatter about an old beast locked away somewhere waking up. Beyond that he didn't know anything.

Hades sighed as he contemplated what to do next about the creature. Despite his best efforts the beast was stirring more so than usual. Something had to be agitating it and he didn't know what and that was the most frustrating part about all this. Hades hated to admit when he wasn't enough, but in this case he had to put creation before his pride and ask for help. Hades sat down and wrote a letter to someone he had not spoken to in a long while: His sister Hel. He would explain to her about the creatures stirring and ask her to meet with him in order to help figure out a plan to keep the beast contained. With his signature the letter was complete and Hades sent it off with a spirit to deliver the message.

William managed a meager smile at Joe's easygoing reply. The man seemed... genuine. His humble remark had none of the bluster or false humility that Will had seen from others over the years. As Chase left, Will returned the nod with one of his own. His attention was pulled away by Ashley-May suddenly leaping to her feet with exclamations that he couldn't make sense of as she hurried toward the recovery ward. Normally that would worry him, but her tone seemed excited, even hopeful. His face creased as he stood up suddenly to watch her quizzically.

Julia was stripping a pair of latex gloves from her hands as she exited the recovery ward, nearly bumping into Ashley-May with a gasp. She held up her hands in apology. "Sorry, didn't see you there. I was about to come get you, actually." She placed her hands behind her back, her posture straightening as she prepared to give news in the way she had practiced for years... good or bad. Her tone was hushed -- just loud enough for Ashley to hear. With her medical background, she would be able to understand the information Camden relayed most easily.

"The puncture wound to his torso was the worst of the injuries. It looks like whatever caused it was disturbed or torn loose. The impact ruptured his spleen and severed the end of the splenic artery. We managed to get sutures and a clamp in place to stop the worst of the internal bleeding." She paused, sighing deeply. "The laceration on his leg wasn't nearly as deep. The bleeding was minor by comparison... but it's an older wound. It got exposed to a lot of contaminants out there. Infection had already set in by the time we got to it."

The nurse practitioner placed a comforting hand on Ash's shoulder. "I won't lie to you. Between the sepsis and the blood loss, we almost lost him. In all likelihood, what you did at the gates saved his life. But he's not out of the woods yet. We still need to decide whether to remove his spleen... and his body's fighting the infection as we speak. We've got him on a strong course of antibiotics."

Julia began to open her mouth to speak when a weak voice called out from the recovery room directly behind her. "Is that Ms. 'Hash' out there?" the British voice was strained, the words slurred, but insistent all the same.

Julia smiled. "Did I forget to mention that he just woke up? We were going to put him back under, but he insisted against it for the time being. You can go see him if you like, but between the fever and the anesthetic, he's not exactly lucid."
