St. Boethius
The Pious Philosopher
Thanatos would watch as Brendan brought out his device and relayed the message. The Rider would think for a moment trying decide whether or not he should allow the human the opportunity to save his own skin. He would love nothing more than to expunge this stain of a city from existence, but... He was here on his brother's behalf so he would have to refrain from doing as he pleased. " Very well Brendan I'll give you the Tim-" Thanatos would start to say before he noticed the presence of the fallen angel transporting some humans back into the Colony. " On second thought you didn't tell me you had angels at your call... It happens tonight Brendan. Or I will hold you. And your council personally responsible for what happens to Pasithea." With that Thanatos left the human to his work and went to seek out the angel. As he walked Thanatos released plenty of his power to announce his presence to the divine being.
Hypnos sat on the roof of an office building nearby where Pasithea was being held. Burying his head in his hands Hypnos could do nothing but listen to his wife's screams. Even now with the love of his immortal life being ruthlessly tortured by humans all he could do was love and forgive them. Tears streaming down his face the drowsy god could only weep for the humans for he knew that tonight every single human life in that building would be extinguished. " It's not their fault.... they don't have a choice but to hurt her..... they have families and children waiting on them...." Hypnos would mutter to himself trying to rationalize it for them. Trying to think of some way he could convince his brother to spare them. Then something even more terrifying than his brother happened. The screams stopped.
