Dayne Matthews

Dayne was about to speak but went silent as the group began to discuss the mission they had planned.

As he was about to walk away from Brendan and passed Willam,

As he did, he was hit with another vision. Gasping slightly and wincing as his eyes reacted to the vision.

Crouching as if he was winded he trembled as he saw the vision.

It felt stronger than his previous visions. He felt the wind knocked out of him as he seemed to be inside the

event real time. It appeared to be a raid just like before but he could barely see anything. He heard a woman scream for help,

just as he turned he felt something sharp drag at his arm.

With a gasp he came out of the vision, he looked around and as if in slow motion he looked to his arm where a deep wound from shoulder

to elbow had opened up.

Looking around the group, he went pale when he realised most of the gathered group had seen what happened.

Not knowing how to react, he just stood there holding his now bleeding arm

(For the vision idea I borrowed heavily from Charmed, when one character who received visions got a vision so powerful she was hurt through it)

After Thanatos made sure that the humans weren't running out of time he took a moment to watch the Oracle receive a new vision. What was his brother playing at now? Considering the fact that he was sending messages he must have calmed down and if he's calm at this time of day he's still asleep. Hypnos probably wasn't even aware he was sending the vision. Though it must be fairly important consideration the amount of power that was sent with the vision.

Depending on the vision he may need to move the timetable up some more to accommodate the danger to Pasithea.

Tucked away deep within Erebos Hypnos slumbered so that he could regain as much power as possible before the confrontation to rescue Pasithea. However his rest was disturbed by faint screams. They had begun torturing her again and as much as he wish to just assault the office on his own warding or not if he wasn't careful he could be rendered mortal by the wards.

That thought lead to a rather unsettling thought process. That the kidnapping of Pasithea was all just a means to capture him or Thanatos and bend them to their will. It wasn't an impossible feat, heck Thanatos has been bound several times in the recent decades.  Luckily however the bindings were short lived and there weren't mass casualties.

Brendan had moved off when William took the reins of the operation, doing as he said he would, gather anyone not directly involved to leave the hunters to do what they needed to with Thanatos and Alaric.  He paused briefly at Chase's side with a frown,  "You are not one of my hunters, did William recruit you?"  It was a possibility the Councilmen in charge of colony defense was recruiting more hunters to his cause.  Brendan would have stayed to get Chase's answer, a negative would have had him being pulled from the barracks with the others, but Brendan attention was being drawn to the small crowd now watching the boy Mackenzie had pointed to you him. "The hell is going on now.'" He grumbled before stalking off to Dayne.

He had missed the boys vision, but arrived in time to see him standing and staring, blood running down his arm.  A quick glance to those standing around him, "What is wrong with you?"  Stepping forward he was placing his hands over Daynes wounds, attempting to stop the bleeding, "Let's get you to the clinic."

Once Mackenzie stepped away from the front of the room Ashley was at her side, unimpressed frown on her face.  "So you're an Oracle?"  She asked her smaller partner, taking a quick glance around to see who was in earshot.  She looked back in time to see Mac shake her head, negative.  "So Hypnos is just handing out visions then, awesome."  She sighed heavily and leaned inwards. "So you taking off on William....  Why?  Last night the plan was set, no issues, but today?"  She let her voice trail off, seeing Mackenzie pale slightly she knew not to push.

Both women would fall silent listening to William, it was clear there wasn't much of a plan, but Mac knew she had the details, and it would be vital she and William worked to hash out something more than Don't attract the fuzz.  Seeing that Brenda's team, now Williams were ready Mac would turn towards Alaric, still standing in the back unusually quiet.  She would make her way through the crowd, Ashley in tow and arriving at his side she'd ask.  "Can you move this many people?"  As annoying as she found the angel's personality to be she still cared about his well being, as odd as it may seem.

Aurora would be woken carefully, gentle hand slowly rubbing her arm, the nurse that had been with her when she first arrived back at her side.  She would find herself stiff and sore, the doctor having arrived and tended to her wounds, sewing what needed to be sewn while she slumbered.  Given the amount of stress she was under, it had been the nurses suggestion instead of waking the girl and have her panic again.  "Wake up, dear."  The nurse frowned having not asked the girls name earlier.

William had begun to run out of steam on his impromptu briefing; the basics were laid out and he didn't have the details to lay out an actual plan of any sort. He was in the middle of looking for a semi-graceful out to get to work on doing just that when there was a clamor in the crowd. Craning his neck, Hendrix couldn't see what was going on in the group of bodies until Brendan parted them with his approach. A young man, a gash down his arm.

From what? It was obvious a fight hadn't broken out; those around him looked equally mystified. Luckily, Brendan was seeing to him. Frankly, Will had bigger things on his mind than playing medical mystery. Taking his leave, he walked from the podium down toward the others, Elijah meeting him there. Will knew he'd have to put his anger toward Mac aside for now -- they would need to work together on this if Vitae were to survive.

"Stirring speech, General," Eli remarked dryly as William neared. "I see you've worked out every detail. This should be a cakewalk."

Will ignored the jab. "We need more intel before I can even begin hashing out anything concrete," he said, glancing hesitantly toward Mackenzie. "And we don't have much time to get it."

Thanatos sighed as the mortals simply gathered around the Oracle mystified Hythe sudden appearance of an injury. He wasn't about to wait until one of them to figure it out and ask the needed question. Standing up from his seat Thanatos' presence alone allowed him to easily maneuver through the crowd.

Thanatos looked the wound over for a moment before looking into the Oracle's eyes, " Speak Oracle... What news has my brother given you?"

Alaric simply stood back, watching and listening to everything, taking it all in.  He wasn't going to encroach upon these human's and cause a ruckus, that was the last thing they needed right now.  She stretched and popped his neck while waiting, then he heard his name told to everyone in the room and he smiled and waved at them all.  "Pleasure to meet you all," he said softly as he let the speech continue.  He was simply going to follow orders.

Once the speeches were done he did as they told everyone to do and gather around William for directions on what they were going to be done.  Well, at least they weren't just using him for a portal, he was thinking to himself, as William went over the plan.

Aurora awoke with a start, but settled down once she saw the nurse she recognized.  She groaned slightly when she realized that she was sore.  "Well, this is... certainly a pain," she says with a wise butt smirk on her face before she coughed.  "Is there something to drink?" she asks, noticing her throat was very dry.  She looked around taking in her surroundings fully now.  "I'm in the Vitae colony, correct?" she asks looking back to the nurse curiously.

Chase hadn't really moved or said a word whilst in the barracks until Brendan stepped by and spoke to him. A small moment of panic before replying with a simple, "Yes." Outwardly it sounded fine, internally it was more drawn out and hesitant. But he'd said it now, luckily the councilman would be distracted by something that was happening within the grouped circle. Chase found himself following the other man without much reason other than instinct, the smell of blood hitting his nostrils and causing him to speed up until the sight of the bloody armed Dayne was in view.

The Werewolf pushed and elbowed through a few bodies to get to the inner circle, cutting off Brendan's attempt to cover the wounds with his hands with his own. The Oracles power causing Chase to become more protective of someone he didn't even know. Chase's own hands being the ones to grab the arm and help steady the unbalanced teen. He'd just been about to lead Dayne out when Thanatos barred the way with his question. "He needs the clinic." Chase spoke calmly through clenched teeth while eyeing the deity, his own body partially blocking Dayne and Thanatos. It was hard to explain the power that was driving his brain to do this, all the while fearing the wrath of Death himself.

Thanatos simply shook his head, "No, he needs to answer the question. He's not going to die I'll go ahead and tell you that much. " Death assured the Lycan before looking back to the Oracle, " Now speak." He told the Oracle. Whatever his message was it was more important than his life. At least in Thanatos 's perspective

Dayne Matthews

Dayne looked from the man holding him, to the stranger demanding an answer.

With his good arm draped over the man's shoulder, he gave a shuddering breath to answer.

"I saw what looked like a fight, fire everywhere and....and a woman screaming.

The screaming seemed to come from behind me but...but when I turned around my arm was slashed and the vision ended"

Dayne explained as he became slightly woozy from blood loss, his head fell back onto chases shoulder as he shuddered slightly.

Looking paler than before he spoke in a small voice

"whoever she is, save her soon. I don't know how much time she has left but, from what I could tell they....they planned on burning her, why I don't know"

Dayne was shaking slightly by the time he was finished, despite his injury, being in the mans arms filled him with a feeling of safety.

Brendan frowned and gave pause as Chase intercepted him to the injured boy, any thoughts of calling him out were lost with the appearance of Thanatos.  Oracle? Brendan's gaze would turn to regard Dayne. This is what Mackenzie wanted me to know.  It made sense now why she wouldn't have announced it.  Oracles were fabled beings; humans gifted with the sight of the gods.  Hunters had been seeking their trails for as long as he could remember and had never heard of one ever existing, until now.  He glanced briefly to Mac as she was with the angel; he would have to have a very long conversation with her later, mostly about how she attracted so many supernatural beings to her.

The Oracle spoke and Brendan paled, feeling death's whispers in his ears he turned to William, shouting when he didn't intend to.  "You need to go, now!"  If they lost Hypnos's wife it would be the end to the colony.  The room feel silent around them as all eyes turned from Brendan to William expectantly.  Brendan was turning back to Dayne and Chase.  "I'll take the boy to the clinic, you report to your leader."

Ashley and Mackenzie both turned to look at Brendan wide-eye'd, the man was simply not built for this kind of stress.  Mackenzie would glance towards William before looking away, speaking to Ashley quietly.  "I think I know a way to get us in without attracting to much attention."  Ash would frown, it was unlike Mac to act this way, something was wrong.  She knew something had transpired between William and Mac but she just couldn't figure out when.  "Alright," She said slowly before continuing.  "I'll let him know."  She watched Mac for a few more seconds before turning to travel the short distance to William and Eli.

"Mac says she can get us in under the radar."  Ashley would offer the men with a frown. "After that it's on you to plan it out.  And when this is done you're going to tell me what the hell happened between the two of you."  She was crossing her arms over her chest, watching William expectantly.  "I have never seen her act like this in all the years I've been with her.  She actually gives a shit about you and it looks like you're torturing her."  She'd raise a hand, preventing him from saying anything. "Later, we need to deal with this first."

The nurse would nod slowly, "Yes, you're in Vitae.  The doctors gave you a look over and they say you'll heal just fine."  She would offer the girl a smile.  "You just need to rest here, possibly over night.  I'll have some food brought to you." She'd pat the girls hand gently.  "I'll come back with some water for you." She turned and headed towards the back of the clinic, out of sight to retrieve a glass of water.  Upon returning she'd set the glass on the table next to Aurora's bedside.  "One of the Council Members will be along to speak to you, they'll want to hear what happened out there."

Alaric had been about to speak to Mackenzie, but was interrupted when she took off to go to William.  He followed behind her, then looked at William.  "Are we ready to go?" he asked him, he was merely awaiting the man's go ahead to teleport everyone to New York.  He looked to Mackenzie.  "To answer your question, yes, I can take this many people," he says.  "See, the reason I call myself a Fallen Angel, is only because I do not side myself with everyone upstairs, I'm more of a... freelance Angel I suppose, but I do choose a side, to help the human's, against Demons, Witches, et cetera," he says waving his hand as though all those things were nothing to him.  "When I heard Vitae's call for assistance, I quickly came, though, assisting a God find his wife was definitely not what I was expecting," he says.

640ea93a-8681-4391-9408-3c794419f034_zpsl9r2k4qi.png

She nodded, listening to the woman before she left to get her a glass of water.  Once she returned she grabbed the glass of water from the table and guzzled it all down as though she'd not had something to drink in a very very long time.  "Of course, I'm sure that they will want to know what's amassing outside their walls, if they don't already know," she says with a frown.  "I've... never seen anything like it," she said looking down with a look of a mixture of hatred and sorrow in her eyes.

William was silent for a few moments, staring at Ash. He was still a bit shellshocked at what had just happened, but he quickly regained his composure enough to manage a nod. Ashley deserved an explanation and she'd get one... later. For now, they had work to do. William called out above the din of the room to the arrayed Hunters, "Ready up. We're doing this!" Eli nudged him, nodding toward the angel and whispering 'Alaric' for his benefit. Will nodded and approached, looking him up and down. "Alaric, I take it? We're all ready to move as soon as you can manage," he said patiently. He was anxious -- very anxious -- but an insistent tone wouldn't help matters, especially with an unknown variable like this angel.

Chase paused hesitantly as Brendan shouted orders and said he'd take the Oracle, his mind was a confusing bumble of choices and decision. Despite the pull to see this through himself Chase still allowed the councilman to take the boy away from his tensed body, fighting the instinct to just leave. "Get him there now." He'd tell Brendan his voice deep and harsh before turning around and moving quietly towards the group around the angel waiting for the mission to get under way. If the angel had deciphered what he was by now the red head had yet to say anything or even make eye contact, which Chase wasn't going to complain about.

Brendan would accept Dayne into his charge with a wary glance to Chase, perhaps they were lovers and Chase over protective?  He wouldn't question, mostly because he didn't care; it wasn't improtant, not as much as speaking to the Oracle directly.  The information this boy could have for Vitae could sway the coming battles.  He would take Dayne's arm, hands pressing over the wounds, and lead the boy from the barracks, intent on getting him to the clinic.

At William's call the awaiting hunters from Brendan's team, Ashley and Mackenzie included, fell silent.  All eyes turned to Alaric with expectation; waiting to be transported.  It was only now that Mackenzie would close her eyes and pray, or assumed she was praying; she'd never done so in her life.  Hypnos.  She felt silly, uncertain if this would even work. We're coming.  I'm ready.  I accept your offer.  She didn't know if he needed to be physically near her to make her an Oracle, but she did know they would need a connection to the gods during this extraction; Hypnos would need to know when his wife was freed.

The nurse would smile sadly to Aurora, "We know what's coming, you're not the first to be attacked by the pack."  She took the glass from the girl and left to refill it and returned. "Get some rest, I'll see about bringing you some food and something to read."  She set the glass on the table once more before returning to her duties.

Alaric stood in front of the group, looking them over, his eyes finally landed upon Chase, he hadn't really been paying any one person much attention at this point, due to the fact that everything was very hectic.  His eyes flashed knowingly as he looked Chase in the eyes.  He needed to speak to the man alone, he wasn't one to make assumptions about people, but a Werewolf inside a colony when they're impending doom from Werewolves was highly suspicious.  He then looked at Ashley, though for her, his eyes had an apologetic look, as he then took a nice pose, and pointed his hand at them like a gun, and looked like he was aiming down the sight. (couldn't help it, it fits his pic lol)

He then acted like he shot, everyone, except him and Chase, would appear where they needed to be in New York City, New York, but him and Chase appeared at the top of a random mountain with ledges all around them.  He rolled his shoulders and rolled his neck back over his shoulders.  "Faster this goes, the faster we can assist in New York," he says flatly.

Aurora simply nodded and settled down to rest while she awaited the "council" member.

Thanatos would only glance in Brendan's direction at the mention of there not being much time. Apparently the man's survival instincts were more attuned than your average human because shortly after that Brendan began shouting that they needed to leave and in a short few moments the humans were gone. Now it was time to head over to New York himself.

0d8cabe345d35506169fec17fa6d841c.jpg

Hypnos was roused by something quite odd. A prayer, something he had not gotten in.... decades no centuries... It was quite an odd feeling to say the least. It was from Mackenzie no less. She was accepting his offer to become an Oracle. It was a perfect opportunity for it as they were apparently in New York. Whatever Thanatos did it worked and Hypnos couldn't be happier for it. It would only a moment for the brothers to reunite on a rooftop adjacent to the building.

"Its time  Thanatos... I don't know what you did but I can't thank you enough." Hypnos said looking over to his brother.

Thanatos would respond while still looking down at the humans, " I only did what was necessary brother... let's just focusing on getting your wife back in your arms."

Hypnos slowly nervously  and nodded still thinking about the impending chaos he was about to inflict. Hypnos's eyes went wide as he realized he had forgotten about Mackenzie and focused a good 4th of his power into turning her into an Oracle. It would be a.... jarring experience to say the least. Having a divine connection imprinted on you can be quite taxing but Hypnos knew she could handle it... probably.

The moment he saw the angel lock eyes with him Chase realized he was wrong in his assumption. Then one by one they were ported away. Chase was vaguely aware of his surroundings in the next moment, this time he was more prepared for the odd feeling the teleportation gave him and withheld what was left of his stomach contents. There was also the sudden lack of the oracles power having an influence on him that was just ever so slightly jarring and confusing. Alaric spoke whilst Chase looked around warily realizing they weren't in New York, they were alone, and they were far more high up than he'd ever been comfortable or thought possible.

"I uh..." He swallowed and his muscles tensed in fear of the slightest movement sending him over, his fear of heights at arguably its highest. Despite this he was trying to remain calm even though his heart rate was the opposite and his breathing was a little quickened. "I thought you guys were the shoot first ask questions later type." Or so he'd heard, a small amount of sarcasm followed by a nervous smirk. Oddly enough Alaric hadn't just decided to kill him but bring him here, even weirder was the fact that he already had some sort of based assumption since he mentioned New York and we in the same sentence.

Breath. He told himself, far more afraid of the nearby ledges than the angel in front of him. "What is it you want?" He barked at Alaric with confused frustration. The angel looked like he was getting ready for a fight.

"What is a werewolf doing in a colony that has an impending werewolf attack coming at it?" he asked matter of factly and straight to the point.  They didn't have time to beat around the bush with nonsensical questions, not to mention, he didn't have the patience right now.  He needed to get back to Mackenzie as soon as possible, to help her and protect her, per Hypnos' request, after all, Human's weren't the only one's who needed to fear a god.

William threw his Armani out to either side in a desperate attempt to steady himself. For a brief moment -- a minute fraction of a second -- during the transportation he felt his leg as if it had been made while again. Phantom pain it was called, though it wasn't particularly unpleasant and had been dialed up to eleven in this case. Hendrix shook his head, taking in his surroundings. It didn't take long to identify the New York skyline, even though he'd never been here personally.

Looking around, he made eye contact with Elijah who gave him a brief nod, despite his obvious lingering unsteadiness from the transition. Time for a headcount. "Everyone good?" he called out, scanning over the faces. He froze. "Where are Alaric and Chase?"

dx0HE3H.jpg

Brendan blinked as the hunters within the room suddenly disappeared, stunned to silence for just a short period before he was returning his attention to Dayne.  "Let's get you to the clinic."  Still holding the boys arm he would lead him from the barracks outside.

The transition for Mackenzie was almost entirely unnoticed.  Eyes closed during prayer she opened them to find they were no longer within the barracks but standing at the opening of an alley way within the city.  Immediately she recognized the building they across from as their destination.  Dark eyes turned to regard the hunters around her, none seemed to be appreciative of the quick transport; two of the men were already bent over heaving their meals onto the pavement.  She turned to face Ashley, the woman was also bent over, hands on her knees she was pale and looking sickened.  Small smile crossed her lips, satisfied that she was the only one unscathed, "Alaric, hoc autem non est genus onerariam."  She frowned watching Ashley, uncertain of what she'd even said.

Mackenzie froze, face paling as an odd sensation started to creep through her body.  Starting as a tingly through her body, covering her skin, like being too close to live electrical wires, but soon waves cascaded through her.  Sensory overload.  She was seeing things she knew were not there, had not happened?  Hearing voices; screams.  Vision blurred and suddenly the world was titling at an odd angle, the ground rushing upwards too quickly.  Then darkness.

Ashley had looked up at Mac as she heard the woman speak... something.  She was glad she had looked when she did as she witness a look of shock cover her friends pale visage.  "Mac?"  She watched Mac's dark eyes pale to a milky white before she started to tilt then start to collapse.  Ashley reached out in time to grasp Mackenzie by her shirt and jacket, but didn't have the balance to keep her off the ground, instead she was dragged down only able to keep Mackenzie's head from bouncing off the cement, unceremoniously landing over her unconscious friend.   "Mac!"  Medic kicked in and she was pressing her first and middle finger to Mackenzie's neck, checking for a pulse.  She held her breath as she felt the steady beats of her partner's heart. Passed out.  She finally exhaled with relief.

She was surprised when Mackenzie's eyes popped open; they were white still, but slowly the color ebbed back into them, returning to their natural colour.  "Are you alright?"  It didn't seem like Mackenzie understood her at first; Mac was starting at her blankly before she nodded.

"Yea, I'm good." Mackenzie said rather hoarsely. "Didn't have breakfast."  She had to think of something, but it was hard to think at all.  So much was happening around her, more than she'd ever experienced before.  She could hear Pasithea's screams, feel her pain and terror, it rushed over her, ran through her.  She was also aware of both Hypnos and Thanatos nearby, above them.

At least he was giving him the chance to explain, though if Alaric suspected him of being with the packs he would likely just want information before killing Chase. Still an asshat though. "Trying to help maybe? I'm a hunter first and foremost." As much as he really didn't want to he had to look at the edge and at the sight his stomach dropped. "I'm not with the packs or spying or anything like that if that's what your asking." Chase looked back at Alaric deciding to focus on the angel rather than his surroundings. "I was raised by a hunter, grew up like everyone else. Well, except the eating animal hearts part. And knowing of beings like you existing, and the shifting into a wolf part." Okay so maybe he didn't grow up like your average person exactly. You'd think he'd have a speech down by now to convince people he wasn't a threat or an enemy, but that wasn't really Chase.

"Can't you just read my mind or something?

aa728589-a75b-4216-a210-66fde6cbd293_zpsqlcdxhls.png

"Reading people's minds isn't always accurate I've found.  Especially if it isn't a human's mind," he says simply as he looked Chase up and down. "But why would a Werewolf be stupid enough to try to hunt his own kind with a whole colony of Hunters?   And risk your position?   Surely you realize no Hunter in that Colony would give you a chance to hear you out if they realize what you are?" he asks him.

(If this is super short I'm sorry, I'm stuck replying on my phone atm.)

William wasted no time rushing to Mackenzie's side -- his anger and bitterness forgotten for the moment.

"Didn't have breakfast."

Will shook his head at the excuse. "You and I both know it was something else," he said flatly. Without hesitation, he took of Mackenzie's hand in his own and pressed two fingers to the bottom of her wrist in what had become a familiar gesture. It was unnecessary -- he trusted Ashley's judgement, especially on medical matters... but he wanted to reassure himself. As if becoming aware of the other Hunters watching the scene for the first time, he slowly released Mackenzie's hand and distanced himself.

Eli approached, rescuing William from the moment with an interjection, "Was it Hypnos? Alaric? Did they cause... whatever that was?"

dx0HE3H.jpg

Mackenzie watched Williams approach with extreme hesitation, she was at the edge of what she could handle emotionally; Pasithea's terror and pain was threatening to take over, preventing her from thinking clearly.  Instead he was calm and as unexpected as that was he'd gone a step further: taking her hand as he had several times.

The world muted.  Or at least the connection to the gods.  The second his hand grasped hers she could no longer feel Pasithea tearing her apart.  She couldn't sense Hypnos or Thanatos.  Dark eyes watched Williams surprised, enough so she didn't even hear what he had said, confused as what hidden ability he might have and not even know.

He released her and the connection returned, though not as violently as it had before, she still winced visibly.  "Was it Hypnos? Alaric? Did they cause.... whatever that was?"  Mackenzie nodded slowly.  "It was Hypnos." Eyes turned from William to Elijah then trailed over the other hunters now gathering.  "He sent another message, we need to hurry."  She was suddenly aware she was sill sprawled across the pavement and made an effort to rise.

Ashley tightened her grip on Mackenzie's shoulder, preventing her from sitting up.  Their eyes would lock and Ashley's glared. You lied.  She watched Mac a few seconds longer before standing and helping her fallen friend to her feet.  This was something they would discuss in more detail later; Ashley's list of long conversations was growing longer.

On her feet Mackenzie would brush herself off, then turn to face the road.  "That's our building." She would nod towards where she could feel Pasithea.  "The main floor is only lobby.  A security desk at the centre, then two area's for elevators.  Someone needs to go through there, down the right side of the elevators.  They'll find another hallway that has three doors; the one furthermost in is a door to the stairwell.  Once in there they can disable the fire alarm and open the door to the alley behind the building and give us access."  She turned back to William.  "Pick whomever you think works best.  After that the team to the basement's trip is simple: All the way down.  They'll come to a single door that will open into the maintenance portion of the building; boiler room. Along the walls in that room are the runes keeping the gods and the angels out.  They need to be defaced with un-sanctified blood.  Just cut your hand and smear the rune: it won't hurt you."

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase finally started to move, even if it was only an arm, as the man rubbed at the back of his stiff neck. Knowing and thinking he'd probably be put to death if anyone at the colony found out was one thing, to have someone saying out loud was worse. Technically coming to the colony was his fathers doing but Chase didn't want to bring him into this without knowing the outcome. If Alaric decided to cast him off this mountain he didn't want Joe being run out of the colony or worse.

Chase didn't enjoy Werewolves being referred to as his kind. Technically it was true but that wasn't the way he saw it. "Then they don't find out what I am." Chase shot a glare at Alaric as if to tell him not to say a word. "Blending in works better than you think. And I didn't go out with other hunters I went on my own." At that Chase started to lift his shirt on his right side and pull the arm from the sleeve so that the shirt was still halfway on but revealed his shoulder. It was still wrapped and bandaged, a red smudge from where it had bled through. Chase pulled and unraveled until the wound was revealed, it was decently healed so that there was no more bleeding at least but the stitches, dried blood, and some bruising remained plus where skin and meat had healed back the skin was a light pinkish color. "Didn't go as planned. But I'm the one that brought back the information that it was multiple packs rather than one, and that scouts were in the area."

There was a light snort as he pulled his shirt back on after he'd thrown the old bandages to the ground. "I didn't come to this colony knowing of an impending wolf attack but I wasn't about to just take off especially when they needed the help."
