Chase felt his grip on the steering wheel tighten in response to William speaking on a silver trap, he had no idea what that entailed but it made him uncomfortable at merely the thought of it. "So you'd all just planned to capture one?" He asked rather surprisingly and by the looks on their faces in the rear view mirrors that was a yes. "And she decided to do it on her own. Werewolves are pack creatures, so why would she go into a situation purposefully outnumbered." It wasn't much of a question but more of Chase just speaking on the subject. Then Ashley spoke on the subject and Chase let out a huff, "It was still reckless. She wants to help the colony, I get that. Isn't that why were all here right now? Denying help for your own sake is one thing but but there is too much at risk right now for her to be doing that. What if the roles had been reversed and she was the one getting interrogated?" Chase realized he was preaching to the choir at this point and decided to shut it. Maybe he was still frustrated from last night, getting caught with his pants down by those scouts hadn't gone over well with his sense of pride.

It's not like he'd just done something similar when he'd followed the wolves trail or anything, but he and Mac's circumstances and intentions were far different. And if this little adventure landed them against other wolves, or if Mac and Eli managed to nab one before they arrived. Well that meant Chase would need to be careful or he'd have some loudmouth in a cage, out the fact that he was a Werewolf himself.

"So is the plan to stop them or help them?" It was a reasonable question, and maybe the answer was based on what happened when they found Mac and Eli.

Alaric followed the girl into the hobby shop keeping up quite easily.  He began to wonder why he listened to Hypnos about following the girl, after all, he had better things he could be doing, like making his way to Vitae to offer his assistance.  Then again, from what he could figure out, her and her male companion, Elijah was it?  Yes, Elijah, were both from Vitae, so he supposed that he was doing a service to Vitae by coming with them.  After all, an immortal being could be useful in many situations.  He then was pulled from his thoughts when Mackenzie asked for him to grab one of the items she wanted and he did so dutifully without question, then she began to ask him to grab all the items as they found them.  Well, she hadn't been annoying, but now he was ready to call it quits.  He may have had unlimited strength, but that didn't make him a lackey.  Though he knew better than to yell at a woman, it wasn't proper.  He resisted letting out a sigh of annoyance and kept a charming smile upon his face.

Dayne Matthews

Dayne had shut himself away, more or less threatening anyone who came close.

One of the colony members felt the issue needed to be told to someone who could help him.

She went looking for the people she recognised as the important folks of the colony.

When she could not find anyone, she tried the next best thing, she went to the clinic,

maybe one of the doctors or nurses could help.

Going inside she looked around before calling out

"Hello can someone help me?"

Mean while, Dayne shuddered as he was wracked with another vision.

He did not know what was happening but someone seemed intent on doing something.

He winced as his eyes rolled into his head as he was plagued with another vision.

He collapsed where he stood and this did not go un-noticed.

Aurora had been sleeping soundly from the pain killers the nurse had given her.  Had, being the keyword.  "Hello, can someone help me?" she could make out through her half asleep state, then foot steps.

She groaned as she forced herself to sit up and open her eyes, which she noted were pretty crusty from falling asleep while crying.  She reached up running the gunk out of her eyes before looking around and spotting the woman calling for help.  While Aurora was in no shape to be helping anyone, she wasn't just going to ignore her.  "Hel-" she started to say and coughed.

Her throat was dry as she hadn't drank in quite a while.  She swallowed a few times so as to let her saliva moisten what it could. "Hello, I'm here," she says to the woman from where she sat on a bed. "Is there something wrong?" she asks groggily.

Will gave Chase a sideways glance, mildly surprised at the outburst. Still, the man wasn't entirely wrong. Hendrix still had plenty of reservations about the plan himself; he'd agreed to go along with it out of equal parts desperation and trust in Mac's judgement on the matter. William considered his question for a moment. "We help them however we can. I don't think they'll escalate things any further at this point," he said, hoping to convince himself more than Chase at this point.

After grabbing a few things from the truck, Elijah entered the thrift shop and began scouring the isles for the distinctive glint of silver. Well, sterling silver at any rate. Most "silver" jewelry and items were actually sterling, with a small composition being another metal to increase its hardness. In his experience such a small amount of impurity didn't detract from its effectiveness. However, genuine sterling silver was hard to find. Elijah first tracked down the few items that were outright stamped with their purity count: old jewelry, dinnerware, even an old watch.

But those alone wouldn't amount to much. So Elijah began turning to the other, more questionable items. Luckily, he was prepared. This wasn't the first time he'd been down this road; back in Europe, his family had been wealthy enough to have silver bars melted down practically on demand. William had shown him how to improvise here in America, which involved testing supposedly silver items. He ran a magnet along them, tapped them to listen to the telltale metallic ring, and -- as a last resort and always out of sight of the now-suspicious owner -- Eli would remove a small eye dropper from his pocket and place a small drop of bleach on their surface. Sure enough, more than a few of the supposedly "silver" items turned out to be fakes: merely-plated in a thin layer of the metal, or highly-polished to resemble it. If he was a legitimate customer, he might complain about the questionable business practice. As it was, he was just happy to have added a few more items to his haul. Davenport paid for the items, which Mac's bills barely covered, before making his way back outside.

Brendan would look up from his work slightly annoyed at the interruption; he was attempting to work out how to sway the council to vote in favor of Hypnos's offer, however the sight of his man and his ghostly pallor made him forget any annoyance.  "Uhm, yes.  I'm Brendan, you are?"

Ashley would sigh and lean back in her seat, closing the lap top doubting Mac would use her credit card again.  At least not for purchasing supplies. She wasn't going to bother trying to explain to either of the hunters in the front of the car what she knew Mackenzie was capable of, they would just have to see for themselves.

Mackenzie, having collected the items needed, lead the angel turned pack mule to the cashiers where they would wait to be served.  She idly browsed the impluse buys left up front, and often she wouldn't bother taking anything from there, but something caught her eye; ice packs.  She'd have to enlist Eli's help but at least she could sooth some of the pain in her back while they waited.

Items paid, she would make her way back towards where they'd parked glancing over her shoulder to Alaric, curious.  "So why are you coming to the colony anyway?"

He carried the items behind her through the parking lot.  "I told you, I'm a Fallen Angel, shortly after being banished down here I decided to do as you do, and became a Hunter," he says.  "When I heard about the plea for help from Vitae I began to make my way there," he says.  He was glancing over the ice packs nonchalantly.  "May I ask what the ice packs are for?  Everything else I can see what you're going for, but I do not see where those fit in," he asks curiously.  If she was hurt he could help her out after all.  He set the stuff down once they reached the car and stretched as they waited for Elijah.

Thanatos glanced down at this Brendan's work and it seemed like he was working towards convincing others about something. The papers seemed to be notes and the beginnings of a speech. So it looked like at the very least this human was trying to help Hypnos with something. " I am Thanatos, brother to Hypnos. Now.... were you aware that my brother's wife has been found? Because from what Hypnos told me about your arrangement he would protect this little speck of a settlement in exchange for help getting Pasithea back to. Am I wrong so far?"  The horseman asked as he took a seat in front of the human.

Brendan would frown hearing the name, Thanatos, he was fairly certain this god was the one of death, making a mental note to read up more of Greek mythology.  It would seem Vitae was becoming the place to be if you were a god.

"Yes, we have an agreement, no I was unaware he'd found her."  Any information in regards to this had not been provided to himself or other Council members so far as he knew.  The god made him nervous, something about his demeanor made him wary.  "Where is she?"  Brendan knew if she was state side the second part of the agreement would be retrieval, something that would fall under his jurisdiction at least.

If the council voted against Hypnos's plan they would still give the god aid; Brendan was confident in this at least.

Death almost seemed disappointed when he had not heard that she had been found. He seemed to be looking for any reason to wipe the Colony off the map. Thanatos would tell Brendan that Pasithea had been found in a heavily awarded office building in New York. It was apparently a satellite for a much larger global conglomerate.

"My brother informed me that he had told a member of your council this information, one by the name of William, and rather than at least pretend to offer help he brushed my brother aside giving false promises of aid once your wolf problem had been dealt with. Honestly just from the look I had when arrived you've got bigger problems than those mutts. At any rate I know you humans are ever so busy with your werewolf problem that you can't even spare a squad of people to hold up your end of the deal so my brother and I will deal with getting Pasithea back. You..." the Pale Rider said putting his finger on the humans desk. " Had better be prepared for the consequences of going back on the deal." His voice a cold and steely one fit for an ancient being who has seen the passing of empires.

Things had gone a bit quiet in the Toyota truck as it cruised along, eventually Chase spotted a gas station on the way. "Gotta stop quickly for gas." He'd inform them before turning into the establishment, he knew they were in a hurry but it was necessary. Moving out and to the pump he'd slide it into the gas tank and leaning back against the truck, "Is it normal for council members to take off without letting the others know?" He asked William curiously.

William had taken the chance to stretch his legs (well, leg) at the gas station, though it was more out of a desire to relieve anxiety than anything. He was now resting against the hood of the Cruiser when Chase asked him about the unscheduled departure. Will shrugged noncommittally. "I wouldn't know. I've only had this gig for about a day now," he said, perhaps a bit more harshly than intended. He sighed, his tone softening. "Mac doesn't have many friends on the Council. They wouldn't approve of our plan or me heading out to help her... it's better this way."

Elijah made his way back to where they had parked, walking up to Mackenzie and Alaric. He lightly shook the bag containing the items, delighting in the metallic ring they gave off, despite it being muffled by the container. "So, how did the two of you manage?"

Brendan would raise his hands at the death gods threat,  "Now please do not assume because one human chose to disregard the request of a god that the rest of us are like-minded."  He was reaching for his cell phone and already texting to his hunters, his chosen few that had been selected for this purpose; delivering supplies and extractions.  "I'll arrange to have my hunters set out immediately, it will take them time to arrive; from here to New York is twenty-four, maybe thirty hour drive.  You'll have to give us time to get there, but I assure you we will do as you've asked."   Text was sent to eight of his hunters. - Extraction. NY. NY.  Depart now. More details to come.

Ashley would remain within the car when Chase pulled over for gas, she'd no doubt that Chase needed fuel, but she imagined William exiting the vehicle was more to due with his impatience than anything else.  Pocket buzz and she'd slip her phone out to read the text from Brandon.  "Well that's not good."  Having heard Hypnos tell William where his wife was, she knew there was only one reason she was getting this text, and she wouldn't be the only one.  She'd slide across the back seat and open the door before stepping out.  "I got bad news guys, I'm being sent out on a mission."  She'd hold the phone out for William to take, should he wish to.  "Brendan's sending us after Hypnos' wife, or he's got a team in New York that needs extraction."  She bit her lips before continuing.  "If I got this text, so did Mac."  She felt it was obvious, but needed to say it.

Mackenzie would glance at the ice packs as Alaric mentioned them.  "They're for the bruising."  She really didn't feel like more needed to be said, and as Eli was arriving she'd roll her eyes as he seemed more than delighted with his spoils.  "Cute," She'd mutter taking the bag and adding it to the back of the car with the hobby shop items.  "Got everything we need, just need to get there and set it-"  She'd pause hearing her phone's chirping noise go off in the car, her face would betray her as the only reason why she'd receive any texts would be for an emergency, Ashley knew not to bother with the phone otherwise.  She'd open the door and grab the phone and flip it open.  "Hm."  She knew exactly what this was for and with a slowly shake of her head she'd toss the phone onto the seat before turning back to Eli. That's one way around it, Hypnos.  "So I'm being sent out on a mission from Vitae, call Will and let him know our plan postponed; gotta work."

She'd glance towards the angel,  "You'll have to go with Eli back to Vitae, or pop yourself back there, or what ever you do.  Neither of you are on Brendan's team; otherwise I'd say come along.  If you go see him, he might send you to meet us there."

He blinked and looked to Elijah.  "Well, if you show me exactly where the colony is on the map, I can teleport us and your vehicle there," he says nodding in agreement.  He wasn't going to question this girls course of action.  "Oh," he says turning around to her.  "Let me do you a favor and take care of those bruises, I'm pretty good at guessing that what you're about to do is dangerous, wounds of any sort could be a distraction and hinder you, may I?" he asks smiling kindly at her as he held his hands out towards her in his offer to heal her.

"In other words your neck is the one on the line." That was what he got from Will's answer, if the plan went south or they found William had up and left then the man would be the one in trouble considering his position. When the pump clicked to tell him the tank was full he put it back where it belonged and walked across the small parking area into the building to pay. With nobody in line it was a simple and quick exchange, and Chase returned with a pack of beef jerky in hand just in time for Ash to stick her head out and speak about the mission.

Chase didn't know Mac at all, so this didn't give him much information. "So, is she the type to ignore it and continue with her plan or come running back? I mean she has to know that you two are onto them, and that she won't get a second chance at capturing a werewolf on her terms if she comes back." The man glanced between the two as he ripped open the bag to gain entrance to the jerky.

William looked at Ashley's phone and closed his eyes, sighing. He had little doubt that Hypnos was behind this. The question was whether Mac would go along with the mission or proceed on her own. He didn't like the idea of ignoring the plight of Hypnos' wife -- regardless of how he felt about the god, but with the current situation... He paused as his phone began vibrating. He pulled it from his pocket and saw Elijah's name on the screen, hastily answering it.

"Eli?" he asked.

A pause on the other end. "It's me, Will. I'm with Mac... and a friend of Hypnos."

"Are you two okay?"

"Yes, we're fine. Nothing more exciting than a little shopping spree happened on this end," Elijah remarked.

With the immediate feeling of relief out of the way, Will could feel the annoyance coming on at Davenport's blitheness grating at him. "What the hell were you thinking--"

Elijah cut him off. "I know, I know. You didn't want to be left out of this. We can discuss it later. Hell, you can take a swing at me if you want. But for now, Mac is the one who told me to call you."

Will was taken aback, remaining silent for several moments. "What for?"

"She wants you to know that your little plan has been postponed. The new mission comes first. Have you heard?"

"The New York thing," Will said flatly. "We'll see you soon, then?"

"Count on it." Elijah said, before hanging up.

Will shook his head with a sigh, placing the phone back in his pocket before turning to Ashley and Chase. "Mac is putting this thing on hold. Prepping for New York."

Ashley would give a slight sigh of relief hearing that Mac was being turned back to the colony for preparations, she was honestly surprised by it; she hadn't believed Brendan's command would ever sway Mackenzie from her path, but clearly when she'd made her agreement to the Colony, she intended to stick to her word.  So far.  "Great."  She'd tuck her phone back into her pocket, getting ready to climb back into the car.  "At least now we can keep tabs on her."  Chase was right, Mac wasn't going to be able to set her trap up without one of them knowing.

Mackenzie would raise her hand to ward off the Angel's offer.  "No thanks, I've had enough invasion of privacy today."  Hypnos had already topped her limit of how many times a god, or godly being was going to crawl under her skin.  "But a drop off at the colony would be great, get us started off in the right direction."  They were already an hour the wrong way, moving them to the Colony would get them packed and ready to go sooner rather than later.  She'd glance to Eli as he got off the phone, offering him a sad smile.  "I'll keep the bull dog off of you; this was my doing, not yours."  She had no intentions of letting Will take any of this out on Eli.

aa728589-a75b-4216-a210-66fde6cbd293_zpsqlcdxhls.png

He nodded.  "Is there anyone we need to pick up on the way there, perhaps the people that Elijah was just calling?" he asks as he clapped his hands together and rubbed them together for a moment and wiggled his fingers as though he was about to lift something heavy.  He'd gotten so used to traveling like normal mortals that he hadn't done any sort of teleporting in quite a long time.  He rolled his neck back and around his shoulders making it crack here and there and rolled his shoulders.  "Just give the word miss Mac," he says with a flirtatious wink and a crap eating grin.

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase assumed that was the end of it, and was a little relieved. Though from the sound of things they were still going forwards with the plan at a later date. "Crisis averted so back to the colony then?" He asked whilst climbing into the drivers seat and buckling his seatbelt. Meanwhile waiting for them to get back in he'd be grabbing a few bits of jerky from the bag to eat while he drove. An amused smirk crossed his face, "New York huh? Sounds like Hypnos didn't like you guys blowing him off so he went over your heads to make it happen, not that I blame him. You do what you have to when it comes to family."

Will climbed into the Cruiser. "Neither do I," he muttered under his breath. He couldn't have expected Hypnos to wait. He hoped that his dismissal of the god's request wouldn't sour relations between him and the Colony; they'd need his aid and sooner rather than later. He just hoped that they could resolve the situation and get his wife back... and convince Mac to avoid any future adventures like this one.

Elijah scoffed. "I have a feeling he won't have the... 'heart' to read you the riot act," Davenport remarked as he made his way to the truck. He stared at the bag of silver in his hand and hesitated before handing it over to Mac, climbing into the pickup. He pretended not to notice Alaric's absurd display that he thought seemed to pass for charming. That was Will's soon-to-be problem as far as he was concerned.

Ashley would wait until William was within the cab and they were on the road again, back the way they'd come before she'd speak cautiously.  "You might want to prepare yourself for Mac's arrival.  She won't be pleased with being turned off of her plans by Brendan, and a great deal less if she finds out we were tailing her."  She knew what was headed her way, but she almost felt sorry for William.

Mackenzie would give roll her eyes at the flirtatious angel, but she'd shake her head.  "No, they should be at the colony,"  She was taking the bag of silver from Eli, giving him a sour look at his horrible puns; she certainly didn't need to hear it from him. What does he know?  'And if they're not at the colony and out traipsing around looking for me, serves them right to have to drive back."  She'd open her car door and slip inside, putting the spoils on the floor next to her before closing the door again. "So how does this work?" She'd ask Alaric, frankly she was surprised that he could teleport not only himself but Eli, herself and the cars at once.

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase had his window down as they drove back towards Vitae, his nose had been working double time since they'd left the colony practically out of paranoia. If he caught even a hint of another wolfs scent...well he had no idea what he'd do with Will and Ash in the car he couldn't do much, but he'd still rather know. The man listened as Ashley warned William of the red head's wrath, "If she somehow finds out you guys left just tell her I asked for your help or something. And if you mentioned I had a run-in with the wolves last night it might pique her interest enough to side-track some of that misplaced anger." His amused smile continued.

aa728589-a75b-4216-a210-66fde6cbd293_zpsqlcdxhls.png

"Hands inside at all times please," he said walking to stand directly between both vehicles and he put his hands, palms up, out towards both cars, looked up, closed his eyes, an POOF.  Within a split second they were just inside the walls of the colony.  He looked around, blinking slightly so as to catch his bearings.  He rolled his shoulders and stretched.  "Wow, been a LOT longer than I thought," he said as he found a spec of dust on one of his shoulders and dusted it off before turning back to Mac.  "Here we are," he said opening the door, bowing, and sweeping his arm out once more with a bright grin at her.  Oh how he was loving this.

Alex was looking, practically drooling over, a chainmail copper necklace. She felt a tap on her shoulder that brought her attention away from inspecting the workmanship. She rolled her eyes and turned around. "Haha. Funny, Spider." Then she grinned and pulled him into a hug, pulling away with a confused look. "Wait. KitKat said you were pissed. Why?" Noticing the donut, Alex frowned. She poked his side. "I hope you saved me one. I could use a raspberry jelly donut."

William chuckled at Chase's offer. "I appreciate it, but I can handle Mac. By the sounds of it I don't think any of us will have much time for being at each other's throats. The New York thing sounds serious," he said grimly. He knew why he hadn't received a text from Brendan; he was needed at the Colony... and after how he snubbed the man earlier, he wasn't surprised the Council member had elected to keep a closer eye on his investment.

Elijah finally opened his eyes -- they'd been glued shut during the angel's "transition" to the Colony. His fingers were wrapped around the steering wheel of the stationary truck in a death grip. Slowly he let out a breath, releasing his hold and sliding out of the truck on shaky legs. The effect of the teleportation was almost entirely in his head he was sure, but it still made him uncomfortable. He wasn't looking forward to any repetitions in the near future. Running a hand through his hair, he sighed before turning to Mac and Alaric. "It'll be quite the surprise when they find out we beat them here."
