As Chase neared the home he'd visited the day before he noted the fact that both the car and truck weren't there this time. This led him to guess why William had told him to meet with Eli, the former likely being out. He was quick to spot the blonde woman from before sitting on the front porch looking rather engulfed in some papers, likely research. Chase paused at the bottom of the steps planting one foot on the first step and giving the wooden railing a knock with his left hand to get her attention, hopefully without startling her. "Ash, right?" He asked uncertainly from below with a smile, hoping he remembered her name correctly.

"Eli around? Your other friend Will asked me to meet with him about the stuff from last night."

William was out of his chair and walking briskly from the tent the moment they were dismissed. All thoughts of Brendan, the Council, and their discussion were gone from his mind. He began jogging back to the house, pulling the phone from his pocket and hastily dialing Elijah. The phone rang, but no answer came. He was sent to voicemail as Will muttered a curse under his breath. At the tone, he said, "Eli, call me back when you can. Let me know if you found her." Coming up on the house, he could see two people outside. He immediately recognized Ash sitting on the porch. Facing her, with his back to Will, was the volunteer from yesterday -- Chase. He slowed his pace slightly as he approached -- he would have a lot of explaining to do for both of them.

Elijah raised his eyebrows. "Well aren't you the cheeky one," he muttered. "And to answer your question, I didn't. Your stunt-driving out the front gate didn't go unnoticed. The guard alerted Will, who sent me on this merry chase," his lighthearted tone suddenly took on a sharp edge. "I'm sure you scared the hell out of him, you know. I can't even imagine how Ash will react when she finds out."

Ashley's head would rise at the sounds of the knock at the railing, surprised at how efficiently he'd snuck up to the house, but then she must have been focused on her work.  She'd nod hearing him hesitate on her name.  'Yeah, morning Chase." but a slight confusion would cross her features as he'd mention the male hunters from the same house. "Neither of them are here, " She'd set the charts down on plastic table beside her, and offer him a seat. "But if Will told you to meet Eli then he must be coming back shortly."  She'd stand and brush her hands along her sides, idly.  "Can I offer you a drink?  Water? Coffee? I think there might be...." voice would trail off as she saw William striding towards the house, she'd suddenly look panicked and when he was close enough to hear she'd demand. "Where is she."

Mackenzie would frown, he hadn't known she'd been lying, not really a relief, but his mention of stunt driving made her glance over her should to where the god had been in the car earlier.  "Hypnos."  As though it would explain it, the god was certainly tripping her up so far, if she had the ability to she'd block him out until she was done what was needed.  "I'll handle Ash," she'd say almost offhandedly but then his words were sinking, anger boiling deep within her dark eyes would return to his. "A guard told Will."  Jaw set she was turning back into her car, reaching for the ignition.  "Move your truck."  Key turned, door slammed, the beast's engine would rumble into life, and Mackenzie certainly wasn't waiting long, car was shifting into gear and was already bringing it around in a large arc on the dirt road.  Here she thought William would have a good influence on the council, maybe show the deceitful people there what it was to be a good person, but no.  Instead he already had spies watching and reporting on what she did.

Car now facing the truck blocking her path she'd drop the window, still glaring at Eli.  "Move it or I will push it into the ditch."  She knew nothing of truck specs or weight, but she knew quite well what her car was capable of, she had no doubt the truck out weighed her car empty, but Mac's car was never empty, and given the lower suspension and steel body and frame she knew she'd be at least able to nudge the monster on the road out of her way, driving through the ditch wasn't an option, she'd only get herself stuck.

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase let out an internal huff when Ash mentioned Eli wasn't here. Momentarily he considered telling her and letting her tell the others but to be honest he knew nothing of the relationships or if the woman was even a hunter. So for the time being he decided against it, and when he was offered water he nearly accepted but watched as the woman's attention turned elsewhere while her voice trailed off before snapping back to attention on someone else with a hint of panic. Taking his foot off the step and turning to the side he spotted Will headed their direction, and again he felt like he'd walked in on something.

"Well at least I didn't have to wait long for one of you to show up." Chase said, rather than staying silent.

Will looked at Ashley, taking a deep breath. There was no way to be gentle about this. "She took the car and bolted while I was at the Council meeting," he said. "The guard at the gate said she was driving erratically, maybe with a passenger. I sent Eli after her and I haven't heard back since." He turned to Chase. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to send you on a wild goose chase. Something's... come up," he said apologetically.

Elijah felt the anger boiling up inside him as he heard the steel-bodied beast roar to life. "You don't want to talk? Fine," his mouth formed a thin line as he shook his head defiantly, sidestepping to put his body squarely in the path of the sedan. He threw his arms out to either side, shooting a challenging glare at Mac. "Go ahead, then! Plow through me and the truck while you're at it! It'll be a grand finale to this little temper tantrum!" he brought both fists angrily down on the hood of the car with a pounding thud. They didn't event dimple the steel, but sent waves of pain reverberating through his arms. He didn't care at this point. Davenport brought his right hand back to surreptitiously draw the karambit from the small of his back. Of course he'd never harm Mac or even so much as threaten her, but he had other plans in mind for the little blade.

Ashley would pause and glance towards Chase, uncertain if William had told him anything she'd ask. "She left, alone, to pick up her car parts?"  She knew what Mackenzie was up to; this was certainly not the first time Ashley had been ditched by her partner when Mac thought it was too dangerous.  "And now Eli isn't answering.  I'll pull up her credit card records, if she paid for her parts, then I can get an address."  She'd leave the two men on the front step disappearing into the house in search for Mackenzie's laptop.

Knuckles turned white as she forcefully gripped the steering wheel, teeth clenched she glared as Eli as she stood in front of her car blocking her path.  She'd never hurt him, she could never bring herself to do anything close to injuring the man intentionally, that had been the point of her leaving to do this alone.  It would take several minutes before finally she could release the wheel and turn off the engine, several more before she was calm enough to open the door and step out.  Calm would certainly not be the word used to describe Mac; she was at the very edge of rage.  "You want to hear it? Fine."  She'd slam the door shut, voice a near growl. "I left today to do this alone.  I should never had told William about it because it puts too many other people in to risk for no reason.  I have been doing this; trapping and killing wolves since I was eight, Elijah.  I have spent my entire life doing just this and to bring someone else in will only get us both hurt."  She was slowly shaking her head, turning slightly to look away, just the sight of him was making her angry.

"I only got injured in the first place because I had Ashley with me, if I had been alone there would have been dead wolves and the information we needed to know the Pack was coming...  I should have kept my mouth shut, let you all go on your day and said nothing, that would have been better because then I would never had known William was a snake oil salesman.   He's been with the council for less than a day and he already had spy's.  Don't you find that just a little worrying Eli?  And then?  Then he sends you out to god know's where to find me, why?"  She was watching him again.  "Why am I important enough to risk you?  Go home, Eli.  Let me do my job."

William said nothing in response to Ashley's question -- he knew Mac had far more in mind than picking up car parts. But he couldn't dive into the specifics of the dream right now. He'd let Ash carry on, hoping she found something they could use.

Elijah shook his head incredulously. "Will didn't betray you, Mac! I talked to Bart -- he told Brendan that he saw you leaving. Will was worried about you. He thought you were going to do something stupid and get yourself hurt, and lo and behold he was right.

Eli kept his eyes on Mackenzie as he spoke. "You think he sent me out because he's on a power trip? Because he's conspiring with the Council to keep you on a leash? Are you really that blind?!" He laughed, a harsh sound devoid of any humor. "He trusts you, Mac. For god's sake, he cares about you. That's more than I can say about anyone else since I've met him. Tell me: why do you think that is?"  Davenport sighed, his voice lowering as the rage leaked from his face like water from a punctured bottle. "You keep acting like you're all alone -- like it's just you against the world -- and one day you might just end up being right."

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase shook his head at William's apology, "No need, I get it. Besides I only just arrived. Though I wasn't aware you were a part of the council." So he'd potentially be killing two birds with one stone here. Chase had thought about how he was going to explain the things he'd found out, he was aware he had to be careful with the details. With Ashley inside Chase gave a quick look at the vicinity to see that nobody was within earshot. Chase took a step closer and lowered his voice anyhow, "It's not good news. I can tell your in the middle of something but you should still hear this..." Chase didn't want someone hearing and spread rumors or panic, maybe he was being overly cautious. "Maybe take this inside?" He asked before moving up the stairs and into the home.

William nodded his understanding. Despite the situation with Mac, he had other obligations. One of them was to hear Chase out -- whatever he'd found out was clearly important. "Sure," he said, leading the way inside and turning to shut the door once Chase was inside. "What's up?"

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

"I didn't even make it to the gps coordinates you guys gave me before we ran into scouts, my guess is they were checking to see how the colony was reacting or looking for weaknesses." The man gave a shrug, one he regretted slightly at the twinge in his shoulder. "It was only two, and luckily we didn't lose anyone." Not that there was technically anyone to lose but Chase himself but nobody needed to know such things. "But Will it's not just one pack...it's an alliance of packs." Chase watched the other mans features and gave it a second to let that sink in, "And I haven't ever heard of packs working together, especially not like this. It does explain their numbers and how they were able to do this before though."

She listened, as much as she didn't want to, she heard him, and it stung.  No, it was like a knife tearing her apart.  He didn't have spy's; some where within she'd known this, but thinking he did, that he was working with the council to suppress her was easier the believing the truth: "He trust's you, Mac. For god's sake, he cares about you."  She was recalling the dream, seeing him run to defend her, when he was clearly terrified himself.  The vision of him sitting next to the river, broken, haunted.  Did Eli know about it?  She had her doubts; if William couldn't even speak to her about it, he certainly wouldn't have told Eli what she'd witnessed.

Rage was gone, felt like it had run through her, washed away by pain and sorrow.  She bit the inside of her lip trying to word what she felt; there was no way to describe it, at least not to her. "Please Eli."  Voice was soft and quiet where it had only been raging moments ago. "He can't come out here."  She was fighting for control and losing, she wanted to cry; something she hadn't done since she was a child, not since she'd lost her brother.  She needed his help.  "I need to do this, we can do this.  But don't let him come out here, not for this, not tonight."  She'd beg if she needed to, she'd thought she'd killed him last night, in their shared dream; she didn't know the reason for the dream, but she took it as the god's warning.  "Please."

Hypnos floated silently between the two mortals. He had listened to the both of them and could only recall the dream he had them share last night. It was as much as a learning opportunity for him as it was them. He wanted to see what the two would do when pushed and knowing that William suffered from constant nightmares... It was simply a matter of waiting for the right time to connect them.

So Mackenzie was was right in a way that it was a warning to her. The shared dream allowed her to see what he would do if something happened to her.  At this point Hypnos had the power needed to manifest himself, but was waiting for the right time... to show up at a time like this.... It would only make things worse. Probably.

Some twigs off the road would snap not far from Mackenzie and Elijah.  Standing alongside the road was a red haired gentleman in a suit.  "Excuse me, I hate to interrupt your interesting conversation here, but I was curious about the location of the Hunter Colony that was asking for assistance from Hunters?" he asked with a thick Scottish accent.  He was standing at a tall six foot three with a soft gentle greeting smile upon his face.  His suit was obviously tailored specifically for him and fit really well, though it was a bit messy with blood and he had a large gash, or at least it looked like he did since he had blood trickling down his face from a spot on his forehead, though upon a closer look there wouldn't be a wound to be found,

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Aurora approached the gates of the colony appearing to be extremely tattered and bruised.  "HELP!" she called out as she dragged one of her legs behind her.  She had a gash down her left arm and her cheek.  "PLEASE HELP!" she cried again as she fell to the ground unable to carry herself much further.  She also had hole in the back of her shirt where she'd been stabbed and it was bleeding bad.  "Please..." she muttered before passing out there on the ground, unresponsive should anyone attempt to call her name.

William rubbed a hand across his jawline with a sigh. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised. With their numbers and coordination... it seemed to big to be a single pack leading it all. This is a first for me, too. Purebloods are usually territorial as hell." He shook his head. "Still, thanks for putting yourself on the line like that. Glad to see you made it out all right. Hopefully we can use this to our advantage somehow."

Elijah clenched his jaw, glancing at the ground. What Mackenzie was asking of him... to willingly cut William out of the plan. Hendrix would be furious if -- when -- he found out. But Mac was in a bad place right now, and Eli was here to help her... which was the plan all along, wasn't it? He remained silent as he reached for the phone in his pocket, pulling it out to see a missed call from Will. His thumb hovered over the callback button. Exhaling deeply, he clicked the device off and returned it to his pocket. "All right, Mac. We'll do it your way," Eli stepped forward to place a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "But no more running off, no more lone wolf shit. If we're doing this, we're doing it together." His tone lightened as he withdrew his arm, smiling. "If I come back without you, there won't be anything left of me to bury by the time Will & Ash are done with me."

"Excuse me, I hate to interrupt your interesting conversation here, but I was curious about the location of the Hunter Colony that was asking for assistance from Hunters?"

Elijah whirled around to face the voice. "Who are you?" he asked with a frown. That Scottish brogue was a taste of home he wasn't expecting to hear in this place, though he was less concerned with that and the apparent injury the man had sustained, soaking his clothing with blood.

Bart sat atop the gate in his watch tower position as he did every day, all day.  Eyes remained on the road and surrounding area watching for any further suspicious activity; Mackenzie's exit had brought whispers among the other Officials that something was a miss, certainly if the only survivor of Borseti was fleeing, but Bart thought otherwise, and did his part to quell the unrest.  After Eli had been sent out, presumably after her, he began to worry that maybe the other men were right.

"Please help me!"  A voice from the road drew his attention back from the surrounding forests, he rose to his feet and peer down in time to see a young woman collapse on the road.  He'd whistle down to the Officials behind the gate and flag them outwards, continuing to watch the treeline for any sign of attack.  Two men would approach the now unconscious woman, one drawing close enough to check her pulse, the other watching his back.  "She's alive."  He'd yell up to Bart, "But injured."

"She bit?"  Really this was the greatest cause for concern at this point; last thing they needed was wolves inside the walls, he'd receive a "Negative" from the man checking her out.  "Alright, get her in to the clinic, one of you two stay with her.  Once the Doc's give's the all clear; run the tests.  I haven't see her before."  The two were doing as they were instructed, one gathering the woman in his arms and headed into the Colony.  Bart took out his phone for the second time that day, this is going to become a habit, I know it. and sent a text to Maxwell to report in.

Ashley was walking from her and Mackenzie's bed room laptop in hand to where the men were speaking, she hadn't heard the conversation, too distracted with her own work. "I got her," She'd tell William, setting the lap top down on the table.  "Mac is great at hunting, she could track a wolf through a forest at night and never miss a step, but she is terrible with technology."  She'd open the web browser.  "She was at a junk yard about an hour south of here, card swiped half an hour ago., but she also check out stores inside the town right near it  AND."  She'd tab over a screen. "She was looking at vacancies at this motel."  She'd look up to William, almost sad.  "Don't even ask if she would do this to throw us off the trail, she doesn't know how to delete her browsing history.  I had to teach her how to use the internet when we met, I wish I were joking."

Mackenzie would sigh softly hearing Elijah's willingness to help her, body would visibly sag as she felt his hand come to rest on her shoulder.   She'd offer him a sad smile, knowing this would put a rift between him and William; something she would try and protect him from later.  "Thank you," She really couldn't express how much she appreciated this from him, somewhere she knew he would agree to help her without William being included.  She was about to tell him what had occurred at the gates; the driving incident when a voice interrupted them.  Dark eyes would regard the man slowly, from the amount of blood covering his clothing he shouldn't be standing upright.

Alaric noticed the looks on their faces and pulled out a pocket mirror.  "Oh dear, I guess I forgot to clean up," he says with a soft chuckle and snapped his fingers and his clothes were once more clean and not a spec of blood to be seen.  "I apologize, I am Alaric, a Fallen Angel, I'm also a Hunter here on Earth and wished to offer my assistance to the colony requesting aid," he says walking up to the man and woman.  He held his hand out to the other gentleman in his greeting.  "Alaric Jameson," he says beaming with a bright smile.

She laid limply in their arms as they carried her, unable to say much.  Her blonde hair was completely dirty and matted with blood and dirt, and blood seeped around the edges of her mouth.  She had honestly been quite lucky considering what had happened to her.  She had actually been with her brothers, they were all Hunters, but on their way to the Colony they had had a run in with the Werewolves.  The fact she wasn't bit was a miracle in and of itself.

As the situation resolved itself Hypnos would take the opportunity to give Mackenzie one last message. Seeing as how she had been reacting to his direct messages Hypnos decided he had better materialize a human form. It would only take a second and his human form appeared between Mackenzie and Elijah. The deity took a moment look himself over and get a feel for the body. Going from nonphysical to a physical body was a bit jarring to say the least. Tugging on his vest a bit he looked between his two friends to make sure everything was settled before walking over to Mackenzie. " I'm sorry about putting you through that much strain before your confrontation with the pack. I tend to forget how fragile humans are to the words of a divine. Unless..... would you consider becoming my Oracle? " it may not have been the best time to ask that question, but Hypnos has learned that human lives, especially hunters, are fleeting things. So to him now was no better than later.

"I can guarantee it comes with a whole host of benefits. Your reaction to my word and messages will only cause slight headaches." Hypnos may have been downplaying the headache thing, " you won't have to worry about monsters anymore as your position as my Oracle tends to put supernatural beings in a protective trance. " Hypnos said with his usual smile not really reading the mood whatsoever.

Chase nodded, "Yeah, no problem. Just sorry I didn't find out more, something is better than nothing." It was probably a good thing Will hadn't asked exactly how he'd gotten the information, though he'd had a shoddy lie planned in case that involved interrogation. Though Will made no outward show of questioning the information. "I should mention that one of them did get away though. So whatever information they got did likely make it back to the packs." Ash returned from her adventure into the back with laptop in hand, she seemed both determined and frustrated at the scenario of what Chase assumed was the other woman who'd been here last time. The one he'd only seen briefly but could tell was the injured woman Hypnos had spoken of, "They mentioned your female friend, actually asked me if she was still alive or not. Didn't say anything but they were interested in an answer."

"You guys need a hand...or a ride or something?" He asked curiously, remembering both vehicles from before were gone.

William's jaw clenched tightly at the mention of the wolves' "interest" in Mac. It shouldn't come as a surprise, given her history with them. He found himself morbidly wondering if any of the wolves from Alliance had been friends or family of hers... once upon a time. Pushing the thoughts from his mind, he turned to Ash with a questioning shrug. They had a location to at least look into... he couldn't ask for much more than that. He was concerned that Elijah hadn't called or texted back yet. Chase had proven himself capable in gathering that information, not to mention his status as a newcomer meant he wouldn't be predisposed to the same sort of "bias" most of the Vitae residents had toward Mackenzie.

And, frankly, they needed a ride at this point.

He turned back to Chase. "I'd hate to put you in a bind, but the truth is we could use both at this point," Will said candidly.

Elijah's eyes flitted between Hypnos and the Angel, his feet frozen in place. He'd heard of Angels, of course. Knew all about the Fall. But he and Will had yet to encounter one that they knew of. Having one approach him out of the blue, not to mention Hypnos' sudden reappearance, had him more than a little flabbergasted. He turned, wide-eyed, to Mackenzie. "Are you a magnet for all things supernatural?"

The Officials would do as instructed by Bart, bringing the unconscious battered woman to the clinic for medical care, but neither would be allowed to remain behind, the nurse turning them out with the message for Bart they could do their tests when they were certain she would live.

They would returned to gates where they were posted.  Bart, having completed his duty and reported the anomaly to Maxwell returned to keeping watch.

Ashley would glance from Chase, and his offer to William and his acceptance, a little worried about bringing in another person into the fold; too many people to know what was happening, but she could only assume that William knew what he was doing.  "If we go straight to the motel we could head her off there, she didn't build the trap yet, it was in pieces when I left, and hopefully Eli calls and we get him there before tonight."  She was determined to not only catch up to Mackenzie but put a stop her her solo adventure.

Mackenzie's eyes narrowed as she sighted Hypnos return to the flesh and wander almost casually towards her.   The moment he was within striking range she'd smack him in the arm.  "You nearly killed me, twice today."  She'd hiss at him, but was catching the words Fallen Angel and frowning.  Eli was questioning her, Hypnos was making an offer she didn't really understand and the "Angel", though she didn't believe it, was asking where Vitae was.  She'd turn to Alarc, "You're about an hour too far south of it, follow the high way north, turn off at High Pine, giant concrete walls, you really can't miss it."

One way or another the Angel was not being invited on this job, it needed to be low profile and somehow she was collecting a troop.  "Eli, it's a curse, not a gift."  She certainly wasn't joking; she knew all sorts of creatures were drawn to her, but she mostly assumed it was because she had a reputation for killing most of them.  "Do you know what an Oracle is?"  She'd ask him, though she was still focused on Hypnos, trying to determine if what ever was wrong with him earlier had past.  Of course the god had explained the benefits of being made one, but gods often omitted important details.

She'd frown slightly, "Not now, actually, Hypnos.  Later we'll talk more, I still need to get things together."  She'd pause, recalling Eli turning off his phone.  "Can you find Will?  Tell him I'm fine, to stay at the Colony?"  Maybe he'd listen to the god.  "Tell him about your offer to me."  Slight smile would cross her lips at the thought; she'd be sorry to miss it.  "Eli and I need to get moving."

Alaric frowned when, instead of shaking his hand, the man turned to his female companion and asked her a question, but he understood since Hypnos appeared from nowhere.  "Ah, Hypnos, what an interesting coincidence," he said with a soft chuckle.  "And I assure you good sir, I did not approach you for her, no matter how pretty she is," he says winking at the girl with a bright smile.  "An Oracle is a human chosen by a God to receive messages of the future by that God, or other gifts depending on what the God wants you to do.  Although it's not as easy or fun as he makes it out to be, shame on you Hypnos," he chided.

"And ma'am, it's only a curse if the Supernatural's are attempting to kill you.  I assure you I am not, and from the looks of Hypnos, neither is he," he says bowing to her in respect.  "Could I at least get a proper greeting from the two of you before I make my way there?  I mean, I have given both of you my name, but I know not either of yours," he says.

The girl as stated before was covered in those gashes.  The wound in her back was a gunshot wound, an iron bullet, apparently someone thought she was a Supernatural of some sort, or maybe one of the Hunter's she'd been with had missed.  Unfortunately before the Nurse could begin working she woke up and screamed.  She looked at the nurse with wide scared eyes.  "Where am I?!" she asked taking in her surroundings.  Mostly looking for a weapon.  She didn't know if this woman was what she appeared.  What if she was another Werewolf?  What if she hadn't reached Vitae and instead one of the packs of Werewolves that her brother's had been tracking had found her?  The suspicion was obvious in her eyes too.  She was mentally cursing herself for losing her knife.

Chase gave a light chuckle, "Well I did offer didn't I? Besides this seems important enough, and I don't have anything better to do." Though a little more rest wouldn't have hurt. Chase started for the door, "Get whatever you need together and I'll be back shortly with our ride." He told them before exiting out of the home and heading in the general direction of the parking area.

When Chase arrived in the lot of vehicles minutes later he opened the back passenger door and scooped up any of the bloody clothes or bandages from the night before and shoved them in the far back. Will and Ash might not question it too much given that they were hunters but Chase would rather be safe than sorry. Once finished he slipped into the driver seat and reversed out, then started driving back towards the home.

Hypnos couldn't help but laugh a little when Mackenzie asked him to rely a message to William for her. " Very well my little dreamer. I'll give William your message. Though I expect an answer from you soon." With that Hypnos turned to the fallen angel with his same as ever gentle smile. " Of course it isn't as to set as I make it seem, but a smart girl like Mackenzie knows that words even unspoken ones have meaning. " Hypnos touched Alaric's shoulder and said, " If it's not too much trouble could you keep an eye on her for me? I'll prepare a place for you while I'm there, but if things go badly I want to make sure she's safe. " Hypnos leaned in closely to the angel and whispered, " After all she's a major player in events yet to come. Can't have her meeting my brother just yet." With that the god disappeared, as if fading from reality.

It would only take a minutes or two before Hypnos made it back to the Colony. Know it was just the matter of finding William.  The God would materialize inside the house and look around for a bit. Not finding him there Hypnos would walk around looking for him in the sea of preparing hunters.

Kyle was in a good mood. He had donuts, Alex was in town, and his tattoo parlour had customers. His day was made even better when, as he got off the stairs from the apartment ubove his parlour, he spotted Alex through the glass of the door. He quickly unlocked it and dashed across the street to tap on her shoulder. "Greeeeeyyyy.... boo." Of course, it was hard to talk as he had to say it around a jelly donut he had shoved in his mouth.
