Adelaide was nearly taken aback when the door was thrown open, Ashley-May standing eagerly on the other side. She stifled a smile at the woman's obvious hunger thanks to the Nephilim. She smiled at Ash's thanks, listening to the exchange with Mackenzie. Mac's reply might have brought a flush to her face and even a slight pang of jealousy under most circumstances... but Adelaide decided to embrace the opportunity. "It's true," Addy remarked with a grin. "She is." The Psychic raised one hand, tapping a finger to her temple meaningfully before giving Mackenzie a wink.

"C'mon, wouldn't want little Liam to go on strike," she said to Ash, leading the way to the dining room and setting the food down on the table for the woman to sort through to her heart's delight.

Mackenzie raised an eyebrow as Adelaide confirmed her statement about keeping Will happy, there was a moment of confusion before she watched the other woman's gesture. She had forgotten about her psychic abilities and was honestly a little put off by the idea of someone skulking in her mind... On top of the god already there. She watched the two leave, leaving the door wide open, before curling back up on the bed to doze.

Ashley-May smirked at the exchange, impressed at how well Addy took the comment about her ex and turned it on Mac. She knew her partner well enough to know Mac likely had forgotten that Will and Addy had been in a relationship previously; it wasn't like make to be underhanded and make mean comments -if the woman wanted to insulted you she just would.

Ash hooked and arm into Addy's and turned down the hall to the massive dinning room, still rather shocked at the size of the home the Council had given Will; she certainly had never lived in anything quite so large. "Thanks for grabbing food." She said as the went, eyeing the bag momentarily. "I was about to bug Mac into making something for me, but if it came from the Mess Hall it's just as good."

At the table she released Addy's arm, taking a seat in one of the chairs. She regarded her new friend for a minute before asking. "Do you surf?"

Adelaide was delighted by the show of friendly affection by Ash -- not only did she want to be on good terms with the woman Will and especially Elijah had obviously come to care for, but she also seemed to be healing well physically and emotionally from the traumas she'd experienced earlier in the day. She hooked her arm with Ash's, waving the woman's thanks away. However, as they reached the table and Ashley-May spoke up, her question caught Adelaide off guard momentarily, pausing as she removed a foam tray from the bag to set it in the table. She shrugged, smiling sheepishly. "A little." Addy moved to the refrigerator, opening it up to remove two bottled waters.

"One of the foster families I lived with had a house right on the Gulf Coast. They taught me a thing or two." She set one of the waters down next to Ash, fixing the woman with a curious gaze. "Why do you ask?"

Ashley-May happily opened the styrofoam container placed on the table, picking up the first sandwich and taking a bite; she didn't really care what the filling was, which she found odd given most women complained about eating specific things. She nodded her thanks to Addy as she returned to the table and handed her a bottle of water. She swallowed then spoke. "If you're free tomorrow you can come with us!" She smirked. "Mac and I are going South, to Denver. They have indoor surfing, not the ocean, I know, but it'll be a nice day away from... Well everything."

She paused then, looking concerned "Please tell me you'll come. It'll be a girls day away!"

Chase simply didn't have the heart to tell Morgan that having no experience driving on the road meant she likely didn't have the full skill set or awareness to be really allowed to. As the man gathered the soap and shampoo he listened as the young woman spoke about him being a part of the pack and wanting to make sure he was okay. The two hadn't really had a chance to talk since the incident in the woods, Chase hesitated to speak on it but didn't want to bring down the mood. He could see that she was stripping to get under the water so as she continued speaking he was already focused on his own stall, starting up the water and putting a hand under it to feel just out of instinct.

Emile mentioned the lack of hot water, a part of him wasn't a fan of it and a part of him felt like a cold shower would be just what he needed at this point. Either way, he too stripped and tossed the clothing out of the stall and onto the floor just outside. "Let me get this straight," Chase was talking loudly over the sound of water as he stepped under it and grabbed the bottle of shampoo, beginning with his hair. "You're going in hopes of getting a stomach full of food? How very shallow of you." There was a grin on his face that nobody would be able to see, amused at the thought. Whilst scrubbing harshly into his matted hair with eyes closed to keep the suds out. Not that he was particularly surprised considering Emile mentioned the girls affinity for human things.

Chase washed rather quickly whist under the cold water, wanting nothing more than to get it over with. Stepping out and grabbing the nearby towel Morgan had brought and started drying himself off before hooking it around his waist and moving back towards the counter, fiddling with the electric razor. "I won't try and stop you from coming. I'm not really sure I have a right to at this point, but I'll admit I'm not so sure about it." Chase was being straightforwards about it, simply commenting.

Morgan heard Chase's chastizing words over the rushing sound of water and she blinked, momentarily worried that he was offended by her last statement, that he hadn't realized it was a joke... mostly. She stood on her toes to peer over the stall walls but could only see the soapy top of his head, she frowned slightly, but continued on lathering and rising as quickly as humanly -or wolfly, possible in an attempt to avoid hypothermia from the far too cold water. She was certain that it had to be being piped form a cooler some where because even the water at the stream wasn't this cold! Chase was out first, once more attempting to convince her not to go without saying the words out right. She rinsed finally, deeming her work good enough and shut off the water. "You're not going to stop me from my treats." She scolded, stepping out of the stall and wrapping a towel around herself.

She stepped back to the counters edge and started unpacking various items from her own collection of toiletries; though she had far more than the simple items she managed to collect for Chase, her own included make-up in varying shades, hair styling gels and the like. She had spent many years building her collection of really only human items and she knew well enough that she would have to step back under the freezing water tonight to rid herself of the chemical scent, but it was well worth the pain for a chance to use any of it. "You have a right," She stated, glancing to him briefly with a smile. "But I'm not going to listen."

There was a short one second where Chase let loose snort of a laugh that quickly lowered into a chuckle. "No, we wouldn't want to keep the puppy from her treats." He commented with a rather grin, clearly appeased with himself. Chase considered biting his tongue on that one but honestly what kind of man would he be if he hadn't taken the teasing jab that was literally handed to him. Finally he got the razor going and leaned in over the sink and closer to the mirror for a better view as he started to trim the hair that had grown out, starting at the base of his neck.

The man simply acknowledged her not willing to listen, focusing on what he was doing. "Well, you are at least going to listen to me once we get in there right?" Once he was done clearing off the stray hairs and the growth on his neck he leaned back so that he was standing straight, glancing to his right at the woman who was getting herself ready. Chase knew she was still young, and inexperienced when it came to hunters not of the furry kind. And this was going to be an entire colony who would likely have little issue with killing her or him if they knew what they were. The last thing Chase wanted to happen was for Morgan to accidentally cause a scene, he didn't expect trouble from her but she he wasn't sure just how naive she was.

Adelaide smiled as she watched Ashley-May dig into the provided food, having opened a tray of her own and picking at a few of the items. She was surprised at the sudden offer from Ash, but smiled broadly all the same. She twisted off the top of the water bottle, taking a swig before setting it down. "Thanks, Ash. That sounds amazing." Her smile faltered slightly. "I'd like to go, but if you and Mac already had this planned for the two of you I wouldn't want to intrude. I know how much carefree time can be in short supply around here."

William Main.jpg
William stepped back into his bedroom, having showered and shaved (or at least trimmed) before donning his best attempt at dress clothes. As he grabbed the items for Elijah, he paused. His eyes fell on Mac's journal, set on his nightstand. He hadn't taken a look inside it yet with everything that had happened, but he would. It meant everything to him that Mackenzie was willing to share that part of her life with him, especially since much of it was no doubt painful to remember... much less display to another. He knew nothing written on those pages would alter the love he felt for her, but he was drawn to the simple leather-bound book all the same. Sighing, he grabbed the duffel bag and made his way into the hall.

Passing through the dining room, he saw Addy and Ashley-May sitting at the table eating... well, Adelaide was picking at her food while Ash did more than enough eating for the both of them. He raised an eyebrow. "What? The ice cream didn't satisfy him?" he asked teasingly.

Morgan finished up her makeup, the best that she could do given the limited amount of times she had ever used it in the past, and started to finish toweling off so he could get dressed. She rolled her eyes as Chase mocked her wanted treats, calling her a puppy and she gave him a playfully growl, stepping into the dress and pulling it up. She reached behind herself to zip up the long zipper before starting to re-pack her things. "Yes Honiahaka," She said with a whine, "I'll listen when we're inside." She smirked, but turned to him, loosing the playful banter. "I know it will be dangerous, and I won't do anything crazy or stupid. I'm going for your support, I won't talk to anyone unless they speak to me first, I won't wander, I'll keep close."

She tossed the last bits of her items back into the bag. "But you better hurry up before Brody figures out I stole his car keys." She smirked, tucking her toiletry bag under her arm and tossing her wet towel over a hook to dry. "He won't be happy."

Ashley-May shook her head and smiled at Addy, "No really, I made this plan like twenty minutes ago and told Mac she's taking me." She took up the bottle Addy had given her and took a long drink. "I don't think she's really happy about the idea either. I've taken her surfing before and she's a mess. I mean she could stalk a vampire in it's own nest but stand on a board in the water -not even on a wave, is like a newborn foal trying to walk." She had to cover her mouth to keep from spitting out her water.

Will came into the room and commented on her food, she narrowed her eyes and gave him a playful glare. "I'll have you know, there was .. is no ice cream in this house. I had to eat cookies and no, he wasn't satisfied." She paused, glancing to the duffel she assumed he was going to deliver items to Eli. "I would suggest you find some before coming back to this house, sir."

Adelaide grinned at Ashley-May's tale about Mackenzie's lack of aptitude when it came to surfing along with the obvious joy she took in recounting the memory. She was about to reply when Will entered the room, duffel bag slung over his shoulder. Addy watched ensuing exchange bemusedly, sipping her water as Ash delivered her playful threat.

Will raised his eyebrows, "And here I thought only Mac could boss me around like that." He sighed in mock resignation. "But I know better than to tempt the wrath of a pregnant woman, much less one carrying a Nephilim. I don't want to get turned into a pillar of salt or anything. Wish me luck," he said, bowing his head to the two before turning to march out the door.

Adelaide watched him go with a smile, even after the door shut behind him. Catching herself, she returned her eyes to Ashley-May. "If you think Mac would be okay with it... I'd love to tag along. On one condition, though," she said with a sheepish smile. "I have a bit of a favor to ask."

GxQZJgl.jpg

Ashley-May smirked hearing Will's back pedal then watched as he fled from the house, she glanced to Addy as the man left, idly wondering if she had any left over feelings for the man; and deciding then she would make it her goal to not only assure her new friend it was a normal thing, but attempt to find someone she would be interested in within the colony. After all, she already knew her type. She smiled and shook her head when she asked if Mac would be alright with it she was nodding her assurance. "Yes, yes!" She said with dramatic exaggeration. "She'll be grateful to have a stand in."

She finished up her sandwich as Addy went on to add a condition, asking for a favor. Ash wiped her hands together, looking at the other woman curiously. "What is it?

Adelaide smiled as Ash finished up the sandwich. "I didn't know Joe... but he was obviously a good person," she began quietly. "And one of the reasons Will brought me here was to help keep him safe." The witch lowered her eyes to the table briefly, sighing. "I couldn't do that... the least I can do is attend the service. But I didn't exactly pack for a formal occasion. I've got nothing but tee shirts, hoodies, and jeans for the most part." Addy offered the woman a hopeful smile. "I was wondering if I could borrow something of yours?"

When William stepped back into Elijah's room at the Clinic, he saw the man sitting upright on his bed, a wheelchair nearby. His hair was damp and he was wearing a cheap robe of some kind. Eli turned to fix him with a glare. "Nurse Ruth was in charge of my sponge bath," he said icily.

Will's eyes widened as he gave Eli a look of sympathy, all while trying to avoid grinning. "Sorry," was all he could muster. It did nothing to dissuade his partner's pointed glare. Averting his eyes, William held up the duffel bag as a peace offering. "I brought your stuff. And uh, Addy sent this food--"

"Not hungry," Eli said flatly.

"Okay. Do you... need any help getting dressed?" Will began.

"Get out. Come back when the funeral starts."

William nodded. "I'll do that." With that, he turned and practically fled from the Clinic, a grin plastered on his face.

His next stop was at the Mess Hall. The server who tended to him gave him a surprised glance when he asked for an entire tub of ice cream. "It's not for me," he explained, rubbing at the back of his neck.

"For the missus?" the woman asked with a knowing smile.

"...Not exactly. For my nephew, actually." It was close enough to the truth.

The server accepted the answer, ducking into the freezer for a moment before calling over her shoulder. "Is cookies & cream okay?" Will didn't know how to answer, not having the slightest idea what Ash's taste in sweets was. He accepted the offered container with thanks before making his way back toward the house.

Ashley-May listened to Adelaide with extreme curiosity as she described her dilemma, she reached out and patted Addy's hand. "No one could had predicted that would happen." She said quietly in an attempt to comfort her, she smiled some nodding towards the room they just left. "Common, let's go disturb lazy, I'm sure I've got something that'll work for you."

She set the cap back on her bottle, snatching another half sandwich before heading back to the bedroom. Without hesitation she stepped into the room. "Mac, you need to get ready. The wake will be soon." At the side of the bed she dropped down and leaned over her partners side. "Get up." She nudged she snoozing hunter and received an annoyed groan. As Mac attempted to turn over and avoid Ash, she tucked the sandwich into her hand. "Eat: I need to talk to your keeper and remind him to keep you fed. I'll find you something to wear." She grabbed both their duffle bags and dropped them on the edge of the bed and started rifling through them.

Morgan put Chase's mind at more ease when she claimed she'd listen to him once inside. The man again leaning towards the mirror and going at the rest of his beard to slim it down a little to make it look less wild. He nearly trimmed too far when she spoke on the keys being Brody's, "They're his!?" Chase exclaimed in disbelief with an eye-roll, finishing up with his facial hair he stepped back and ran a hand over it to pull off any hairs that stuck to the beard and took only a second look-over to make sure he hadn't missed anything that stuck out heavily.

It was clear Morgan was ready and Chase stepped quickly over to the clothing, pulling on the underwear with the towel still on and then the borrowed dress pants. With that he tossed the towel less neatly over the bar near Morgan's to dry. "You couldn't have...I don't know, asked him beforehand?" It wasn't really annoyance but a small scale of scolding mixed with not really caring, mostly it was just that he didn't want to be on the bad side of Mackenzie's brother again. Pulling the black shirt on he pulled at the sleeves and lower end to make sure it stretched out fully, it was a pretty skin tight shirt so the wrinkles were noticeable.

Chase looked at himself one last time in the mirror, and took a deep breath before turning towards Morgan. "I take it you'll return all of this when we get back." He commented on everything she'd gathered that was now being left in the bathroom, while zipping up his bag and hoisting it over his shoulder. Wasting no time he moved for the exit and opened the door for Morgan to exit first and once she had he'd follow suite. "Your uncle will probably want to see us before we go." Though he suspected they'd see the Alpha on the way out anyways, since not only was Brody's car still parked in front of the cabin but Chase needed to drop his bag back in the building too.
NanLia NanLia

Morgan gave Chase an innocent smile when he mentioned asking Brody for the use of his car. "What's his is mine and what's mine is mine." She said and stepped out the opened door. While she wore a black skirt and white blouse she had put her jet back running shoes back on, high heels held in one hand. She glanced back towards the counter after Chase inquired if she would return their things and she nodded. "Yes, I'll turn everything back over to their owners." She promised.

Chase was certainly not wrong when he started that her uncle would want to see them both before they left, as they approached the cabin once more the Alpha was seated out front on the steps. Morgan stepped up to him first, leaning in as he kissed her forehead, he murmured in French to her and she nodded before stepping past him to drop off her toiletries in the cabin.

Emile turned to Chase and smiled. "You clean up nice."

Adelaide appreciated Ash's attempts to comfort her, though part of her would always regret never knowing the man she was supposed to help keep safe. She followed Ashley-May without a word, watching the dozing Mac warily as Ash poked and prodded her. She raised an eyebrow at the mention of the woman's "keeper", but smiled regardless. She stood patiently alongside Ash, hands clasped in front of her as the woman sorted through the bags. "I appreciate it, by the way." After a moment, she added, "How are you feeling? After the ritual?"

d425f2e3c2a448e1a5657bc280dca247.jpg

When they arrived the Alpha was already waiting for them, the two family members taking a moment before Morgan moved on inside. When Emile gave him the comment Chase smiled earnestly, "I'm guessing you probably do too, when you're actually clean that is." Chase gave the man a teasing wink, then passed him going up the stairs. He simply set the bag just inside the front door and out of the way before turning around and coming back down to ground level in front of Emile.

"I told you I didn't want anyone going with me." He commented, clearly over it and not upset through his tone and the smile still hinted on his face. Chase understood that Emile had his valid reasons, and honestly a part of him was glad to not go alone even if it wasn't the Alpha himself coming along. While his face and feelings were all genuine there was a partial facade there, one covering up the fact that he was nervous, anxious, and worried all wrapped in a ball. Not at going back to Vitae or what could or couldn't happen there but because he knew he was going to see his father in a coffin. Something he always knew would likely happen, unless Chase somehow went first, but not something he was ever prepared for.

"Where's our friend?" Chase asked rather casually, not out of concern in any form but of some small necessity. He knew full well that Emile had Thomas put somewhere for safe keeping for the time being.

Andy couldn't help but feel relieved that nothing had happened between her and the other wolves, that's all she needed in her screwed up life, just more drama. Something was telling her that they weren't the most friendliest bunch out there, especially after the stuff that she had done. She was rather confused when Chase said he was an inside man, yes it was rather clear but to her he didn't like the kind of person that would be so deceitful, but in saying that she never really knew him at all only having met face to face a few times and only briefly. She got up and whimpered a little, the wound from the branch burning and stinging, she knew she had to clean herself up and get out of the woods she was in, possibly hide herself from anyone looking for her. As she walked through the woods to her car she thought about how Joe's death affected everyone, she felt rather sympathetic towards Chase. Andy's car was seen on the side of the road, her clothes and phone on a rock she had placed them on when she followed Chase, the young girl made sure that her body couldn't be seen by anyone once she was in her human form and was quick to cover her body with her clothes and walked towards her car looking through her phone.

It had only just clicked to Andy that Joe had a phone, and she talked to him via text messages, and someone would have looked through the man's phone and possibly seen the messages between them. It ran through her mind for a while, she sat in the driver's seat not going anywhere, the car not even started. If anyone important or dangerous, even popular got their hands on that phone and saw those texts she could be in some deep trouble. She looked out the window and then down at her phone still looking through the texts and missed calls, one of them from her boss at the cafe, she groaned and went through her voice messages, one of them belonging to the lady that ran the cafe. "Andy, you haven't been at work for the past few days. Like I have said in my previous messages, if you have an issue outside of work tell me otherwise I have many other teenagers that would gladly take your position." Andy sat there, it was completely understandable and yet it still affected her, she just wanted a normal life with a family, but she doesn't have either and is quite annoyed at it. The familiar hum of her engine was heard once she turned the car ignition on, music lightly playing on in the background. She rested elbow on the window her hand in her hand, and her hand on the steering wheel, a tear falling down her cheek. She sniffled a bit before wiping it away and driving onto the road, her body still in pain and the blood seeping through her shirt.

Andy entered into her assigned car spot, she put on one of her jackets to hide the blood stain on her shirt. When she got out of her car she hissed a little in pain before slamming the door, "F***!" her curse echoing through the car park causing a few people to look at her. She walked into her apartment throwing her bang and phone on one of her chairs before opening the fridge door, scanning but not taking anything out, only to move to the pantry, scanning but once again not taking anything out. She moved into the bathroom slamming the door, she was rather pissed off, anyone who got in her way is just a fly that she can just flick off. Her phone vibrated on the chair, it was one of her friends but she couldn't see it, the sound of the shower running through the small and cramped apartment. Steam flowed off of her body when she exited the shower, she walked out with a white towel on her head and I black kimono wrapped around her small frame. She walked out of the bathroom, her bare feet hitting the cold wooden floors as she walked towards her phone and called her friend back.

"Hey what's up?" There was silence and then a few murmurs and a yelling coming from the speaker causing Andy to flinch "Andy you bitch! Where have you been! We were supposed to go out for lunch the other day and then I hear from your boss that you haven't been at work the past few days! I even called the bloody bar you go to, she said the last time she saw you was a few days ago with some old man that seemed suspect!" Andy couldn't help but laugh a little at the description of Joe, she knew Sarah wouldn't really like the look of him but it was funny to know that he looked suspect. "What are you laughing about?! I have been worried sick Andy! Sick!" She walked into the kitchen and filled one of her glass cups with water and drank it, she was slightly annoyed at Megan for being so annoyed at her but she could understand, she sighed slightly and pursed her lips. "Megan I'm sorry, I've just been...." She quickly had to think of a believable excuse. "I've just been sick is all, I haven't gotten the chance to get outside or anything." There was a scoff on the other line from the young girls friend and then a few more murmurs, this time when she spoke her voice was slightly broken like she was crying. "You liar.... I went to your apartment twice! And you weren't there! Now explain Andy, fucking explain what the hell is going on because I would really, really like to know." Andy groaned, she wasn't really in the mood for such drama, especially after just getting home and performing 'operation' on yourself. She groaned and started to tear up, "Megan I'm sorry, I can't explain it to you..... I have no idea what to say other than I'm sorry..." The line went dead and the sound of beeping echoed through the kitchen, Andy leant against the kitchen bench, a tear falling on it. She walked to the fridge grabbing one of the many beers in her fridge, she sat down on her couch and opened the TV that hadn't been put to much use. She opened a movie that was on her hard drive, The Matrix began to play once she cracked open her beer.

Mackenzie pushed herself up to sit at the top of the bed eating the sandwich Ash provided to her, the other hand holding the bottle of water; she had wanted to resist but after one bite realised just how hungry she was and that she hadn't eaten anything that day. She watched Ash suspiciously as she sorted through their bags in search of clothing, Adelaide at her side.

Ashley-May knew there wouldn't likely be anything in Mac's clothing that would fit Addy, given just how tiny Mac actually was it was hard to remember sometimes. Instead she dug though her own bags coming up with a few items that could work for Addy, she was just slightly taller than herself but had a thinner build.

"Here," She pulled a few things and set them at the edge of the bed. "Those should work." She smiled, and glanced back to Mac. "By the way Addy is coming with us tomorrow, your off the hook for surfing but you're still coming." She watched Mac nod her acknowledgement, knowing this was about as much as Mac would reply in regards to something she didn't want to do. "Now, let's see what you've got, wolf hunter."

Ash turned back her attention to Macs bag, going through it quickly before huffing. "Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Blood stained shirts." She glared at Mac as the hunter shrugged but a slow smile came across her lips. "Oh wait! Franklin sent you clothes!" She turned and with a quick scan of the room caught sight of the very tip of the bag shoved underneath the bed. Clearly Mac had been attempting to hide it and by the terrified look on her face Ash knew she would find gold inside the bag.

Emile chuckled and shook his head at Chase, " You never see me like that." He promised. It was clear to the Alpha that Chase had some resignation when it came to returning to the colony and he really couldn't blame him. He reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Do not worry about him," He said quietly. "He is taking a nap." He paused, frowning then shook his head. "No, no. He is safe. In the back, behind cabin. In a shed."

Morgan was now at the passenger side of the car, waiting without wanting to rush either of the men. "Pack moves closer to Vitae, I call my contact. He knows to watch for danger. If something happen we come." Emile knew that if Vitae decided to kill either or both of the wolves inside the walls the Pack would be too late to stop them.

Adelaide grinned watching the exchange between Mackenzie and Ashley-May. It was a rather one-sided conversation, though Addy was glad that Mac didn't seem to be particularly put off by the thought of her tagging along with them tomorrow. She watched as Ash set aside something for her, picking it up to examine it. It was a white sundress with a simple black jacket. She smiled excitedly, looking up to see Mac's expression of horror as Ashley-May mentioned something about clothes from Franklin, pulling a bag from under the bed. Between Mac's visible displeasure and the excitement practically radiating off Ashley-May, Adelaide decided to take her leave. "Thanks, Ash. I'll be in the bathroom," Addy slowly backed into the hallway to avoid what she knew was likely to be an involuntary dress-up session for the smaller Hunter.

Addy grabbed her toiletries from her room before making her way to the guest bathroom to take a quick shower and change.

William stepped into the foyer, heading to the kitchen to set Ash's prize in the freezer before knocking on the door to the master bedrooom.

Mackenzie watched in terror as Adelaide backed out of the room leaving her alone with her partner and the bag stuffed with clothing she never wore. She silently cursed the witch for leaving her alone, dark eyes turning to watch as Ash contently pulled out dress after dress after sparkly something and more. “Mac, seriously, I don’t know why you didn’t bring any of this with you when you came South.” Ash fussed over something that clearly she enjoyed; the woman giving a ‘squee’ of delight.

“Because none of that is mine.” She replied; it was the truth, she had not purchased any of it with her own money. All of the items in the bag, including the armor that had been in there, had been purchased by Franklin.

“Well it’s all in your size.” Ash countered, finally settling on a black fluffy cocktail dress. “This is perfect.”

“For what?”

Ashey-May glared at her partner as she moved around the bedside. “Come on Mac, you’re getting out of surfing already, the least you could do is wear this.” She whined.

“I wasn’t surfing anyways, “Mac growled in reply. “Salt water and sutures are not things I want to mix, thank you.” Ash was already attempting to pull her shirt over Mac’s head,

“See? So you’re defiantly going to where-“Ash was interrupted by a knock on the door, turning to see who was there and allowing Mac to scramble across the bed and out of reach.

“He’s wearing jeans.” Mac grumbled.

“I’d make him wear a dress if I had one his size.” Ash crossed her arms over her chest to glare at Will in the door. “You sir as running out of luck for today: you didn’t feed Mac today at all. You want her sutures to heal she needs to rest and eat properly."

William had watched the tail end of the scuffle between Ashley-May and Mackenzie over -- of all things -- getting Mac to wear a dress. He frowned as his girlfriend commented on the jeans, looking down at them. "These are my nicest ones. I don't have anything else in my size," he said with a faux pout.

As Ashley-May spoke up, Will immediately averted his eyes, looking down at his shoes like a child being scolded by his mother. "Sorry. Didn't cross my mind with everything going on," he murmured. An idea struck him, looking at the dress Ash had grabbed and then at Mac. He stepped toward his girlfriend, lifting a hand to her cheek. "I think you'd look gorgeous in it, babe. We can't both be slumming it at the service." He picked up the dress handing it to Mac, surreptitiously glancing past her to give Ash a wink while she was distracted before turning back to her. "Do it for me?"

Chase relaxed slightly underneath the hand that was both so unfamiliar, and yet familiar at the same time. The man swiveled slightly, leaning into to place a quick but soft kiss on the mans lips. Drawing back afterwards he gave Emile a quick flash of a smile as he locked eyes with the other man and started speaking in a low tone, "I'll make sure she gets back to you safe and sound, promise." Chase understood what a promise meant to Emile, which was why he was making one now, because he fully intended for Morgan to get out should anything go wrong. That same woman who he could practically feel watching them from behind him.

"Don't go getting into trouble while I'm gone." Chase spoke with a smirk, backing away slowly until he spun around and headed towards the car's drivers side, slipping into the seat and starting it up. "Okay peeping tom, let's get this show on the road." He mused, turning the car around and slowly beginning the drive through the campsite. The man had no doubt Morgan was going to say something on the subject, it wasn't like he'd tried to hide the slightly public display of affection

Ashley-May watched Will as his voice softened and he attempted to croon his girlfriend into wearing the frilly affair, she waited, as Mackenzie was interested in what he had to say -even took the dress from the man as he handed it to her. The smaller woman's eyes never left Will's face as he spoke and she considered. Ashley-May waited for and expected Mac to do something drastic, something outrageous: tear the dress in half, shout at him, even something simple as to deny him.

Mackenzie narrowed her eyes as Will spoke to her, cupped her chin made an attempt to not only sway her into the costume but to make her think it was a favor for him. She waited, patiently, until he was done, even took the dress as he handed it to her, holding it firmly between her two hands. Anyone else she would have raged, thrown out or just thrown things at but instead she smiled. "Of course." She murmured, "Anything for you, babe." She leaned her cheek against his hand. "But if I do this...." Her smile turned suddenly into a devious grin. "You're going to owe me."

She turned, stepping off the bed to immediately start pulling her t-shirt over her head. "Oh and babe," She said over her shoulder. "The price for this is steep." Stepping out of her jeans she started pulling the dress up over her hips.

Ashley-May made a point not to say a word, biting her lip as she grinned and stifled her laughter; she collected her own dress to sneak to the master bath and get changed.

Emile had been caught off guard as Chase leaned in and delivered his soft kiss, the Alpha grinned in response to the younger mans smile. He had promised to keep his niece safe and he nodded, thankful for the wording. He and Morgan had been careful to express what a promise meant for the pack; it was a vow, a decree and it was honored through life. He worried for the safety of both of them, naturally, but he knew his contact well enough that a watchful eye would be kept on both of them.

He gave Chase a wink as the man told him to keep out of trouble. "That I can not promise."

Morgan sat in the passenger seat of the car, staring straight ahead and biting her lip, doing her best to reveal the grin on her face. She had certainly not missed their kiss even though she was pretending to be discrete. Chase spoke and she lasted until he turned the car on and started rolling down the overgrown path before she couldn't contain herself any longer. "OhmygodyoutwoaresofreakingsuteIcouldsquishyou!" Her excitement exploded from her and she turned to face him and bounce in her seat grinning. "When did this happen?!" She exclaimed. "You were yelling at him like hours ago, I thought it was over. No more puppy love and then you're kissing him?" She held onto the arm of the seat she was withing tightly. "Tell me everything."

Tara chuckles, smiling at him, and sitting down with them. "Yeah, it's about time I started having fun." She says, relaxing a bit. She's somewhat aware of these two, they seem friendly enough that she's comfortable going to sit with them. She looks to Leech, tilting her head. "Anything interesting happen tonight?" She asks, curious, and trying to learn small talk.
