"Come on Friend Yoshi Kupo! We can help him!!!!" Mog shouts, The little Moogle was struggling as he tried to pull Captain Falcon out of the swamp.
"I can do this Kupo...I...can...
He refused ro leave his friends behind. It seemed that hooe was lost...Until Mog fell as if he and the Captain were being pulled away from the swamp. He was still clinging for dear life on Captain Falcon's collar. After recovering from what happened, Mog noticed that the Captain was out of the swamp, save and sound, " I did Kupo! I saved you!"
The Captain then asked him and the others if they were still with him. " Of course we are Kupo! Glad that you are okay..." Mog noticed that Shadow was still trapped in a trance. "But friend Shadow is still affected Kupo! We need to save him!"

Yoshi was still frazzled from everything he was experiencing. The dreadful feeling of being stuck in an endless cycle of nothingness was quickly snapped as the sound of Falcon's voice echoed out. It pulled him back to reality and caused him to stumble as he found his bearings once more. His head shot around and his gaze instantly fell on the familiar sight off the Captain although he was dirtied in mud from being consumed by the swamp even if it was only for a brief few moment.

For a moment the poor dino remained frozen in place as if he was trying to decide if what he was seeing was real or some false hope the swamp had conjured to trap him. As much as he didn't want to simply brush off the latter, he threw all caution to the wind and whipped himself around to sprint back towards his companion and happily greet him. His eyes sparkled with sudden happiness that hadn't been there before.

"CAPTAIN! CAPTAIN!" he cried out in a joyous manner. As he reached Falcon, his arm quickly wrapped around the other and he hugged him despite the situation they found themselves in. He didn't care one bit. He was merely happy to have the other Smash Bro back. His excitement didn't even let his mind form a proper response. He merely basked in the miracle that had been given to them.

As the high of it all started to come down, Yoshi turned his snout upwards to look at his friend before finally pulling back and recollecting himself though he still wore a giddy smile. "Yoshi not have much report. Yoshi sense something up ahead. Maybe problem source?"

He tilted his head, unsure if it really was such or just something trying to lure him deeper into the swamp to toy with him or the rest of the group. Whatever it might be he figured it was worth bringing up since their goal could be close.

F-Zero_-_Captain_Falcon_as_seen_in_F-Zero_GX_and_F-Zero_AX (1).pngCaptain Falcon's eyes softened as he returned Yoshi's embrace, feeling a sense of relief wash over him at the sight of his friend. Despite the mud and the mess, there was an undeniable warmth in Yoshi's and Mog's presence that lifted his spirits.

"Yoshi, my amphibious raptor friend! And....Rudolf...Fairy...Friend...Thing...Seriously, what are you?..I mean, it's good to see you both!" he exclaimed, returning the hug with a firm pat on the nose. "Good to see you too! I don't think I've ever seen you this happy to see me. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you must've thought I was gone forever." Captain Falcon laughs, downplaying his near-death experience just a few moments ago. "But leave it to you to always come through!" He stepped back, giving Yoshi a reassuring nod before listening intently to his report.

"Thanks for the heads up," Falcon replied, his tone serious now as he considered Yoshi's words. "Now that I've taken my first mud bath, (would definitely not recommend it), let's go put an end to this!" With a determined expression, he glanced towards the path ahead and marched on, ready to tackle whatever challenges awaited them.

The white crystal Toon Link possessed emitted a ghostly aura that sent a shudder down the spine of those in close proximity with it. Mewtwo, especially, would be able to feel the incredible destructive power contained within the crystal shard. From his scans of the Hylian's memory, Mewtwo will have learned that Toon Link, along with Pyra/Mythra and Pit, came upon the artifact from within a ghost ship, and that it had the ability to induce fear into those who lacked the will to resist it. Cranky snapped the box shut and snatched it from Toon Link's hands.

"Okay, okay! We've all seen it! Let's put it away before I die of the cold!" Cranky hid the box behind his back and cleared his throat before getting back to business. "Now, you're wondering what this is, of course you are! Lucky for you whippersnappers, you have me around to explain everything to you. Back in my day, we had to figure everything out for ourselves. There was no GameFAQs or Wiki's, just good ol' Nintendo Power! Kids these days have it so easy, no wonder you're all soft in the head like that grandson of mine. Why, I bet if he were in this game he'd get you lost and sunk in a swamp somewhere, or have the entire Stadium crashing down!

Right! Now, when you're as old as me you know things. Lots of things. I can tell you, this is no ordinary rock! What we have here is a crystallized fragment of power from Mister Insane in the Hamate himself, Crazy Hand!"

Once again, the Crystal Coconut glowed and became translucent, and an image appeared. This time, it was of Master Hand, and he was in a great space that looked strangely like a child's bedroom. He flew into a toy chest and pulled out the lifeless trophies of Mario and Kirby, dropped them on a desk, then rearranged the items on the desk. With a snap of his fingers, the room suddenly became the Mushroom Kingdom. The trophies of Mario and Kirby came to life and began to duke it out.

"Ah, the humble beginnings of the Super Smash Brothers, and the World of Trophies itself," Cranky said wistfully.

The image within the Crystal Coconut returned to that of the child's bedroom. Master Hand was pulling out a variety of toys from the chest and placing them strategically around the bedroom floor: blocks, cars, balls, stuffed animals, plastic figurines, and so on. Master Hand placed the trophies of Mario and Link on the floor, snapped his fingers, and the bedroom became that of a great fighting stadium. As Mario and Link battled, a second hand, Crazy Hand, appeared, knocking down buildings, setting trees on fire, and raining havoc down upon the newly created world and the two Super Smash Fighters.

The Super Smash Brothers Melee tournament came to an end, but this time the world didn't return to the form of a child's bedroom. Instead, Master Hand continued to build up the World of Trophies while Crazy Hand spiced it up with natural and supernatural phenomenon. They added bits and pieces of various worlds to the realm, and in time the land became the colorful and chaotic Realm of the Super Smash Brothers. Satisfied with their creation, the two Hands congratulated each other with handshakes and fist-bumps (Crazy Hand dodged a low-five from Master Hand, much to his annoyance). Master Hand and Crazy Hand then manifested ten colorful crystals, five for each Hand, and scattered them across the Realm.

The Crystal Coconut stopped glowing and the images faded away.

Cranky tapped the bottom of his cane on the floor to get the gathered fighters' attention. "There's your brief history lesson: after Master Hand and Crazy Hand created our beloved Smash Realm, they crystallized portions of their powers and hid them throughout the world. There are ten of them in all, five Pillars of Creation and five Pillars of Destruction, and if the title of this thread is a hint, it is up to you, the Super Smash Brothers, to collect them all!"

Cranky held out the box containing Toon Link's crystal shard. "And it seems you've already found one. Ah, don't be so proud of yourself! If it had been me finding them, I'd have them all collected within the hour! Judging by the unpleasant shudders this thing is giving me, this has to be a Pillar of Destruction: Fear. The other four are Sorrow, Anger, Ego, and Death. And I suppose you'll want to know what the Pillars of Creation are as well: they're Fortitude, Hope, Imagination, Strength, and Life."

The ancient ape banged his cane upon the floor in finality. "There's your mission, Super Smash Brothers, and that's all the help I'm going to give you. Now, get going! Find those Pillars before Lunaris does! Go! GO! And don't slam the door behind you!"

Mog was really happy that Captain Falcon was okay. "I'm a Moogle,Kupo, but none the less it's good to see you safe and sound Kupo!" He then heard Yoshi mentioned that he senced something up aheard and that it's the sou4ce of the problem. " Perhaps it is Kupo! We need to investigate!" Captain Falcom seemed ready to put a stop to whatever cast this illusion upon them. "Wait Kupo, what about Mr Sha..."
Shadow bolted near Mog ,Yoshi and the Captain. "You're alright too Kupo! How did you break free?"
"Maria helped me. That's all you need to know." Shadow replied, stoic as ever. "Let's go and put an end to this." The hedgehog added, following Vaptain Falcon. Mog flew after them.

Cia
The Dark Sorceress

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cia was surprised to see that her normal tactics of temptation had little to no effect on Lunaris. However, this only seemed to spike her intrigue.

She was particularly taken aback as the Lord trailed his finger down the center of her back, causing her to shiver lightly as the cold metal came in contact with her skin, accompanied by little sparks. A huff escaped her lips, barely audible, as she pulled her hand away from his shoulder. His tone didn't help matters either. She felt an unusual heat creeping up her neck as he spoke to her in such an alluring manner while cupping her chin and tapping on her mask's beak.
The sorceress was used to being the one who employed such antics, not the other way around! And so she muttered breathlessly, "D-don't bite off more than you can chew with me, Milord."

However, their daring dance of arrogance and flirtation came to a swift end as a Goron dressed in engineer wear parted through the rather disgruntled crowd and presented Lunaris with a strange artifact. Cia stepped back, falling quiet as she observed.

A soft hum of curiosity left her as her fellow mage began to replay a scene that the Golden Eye had recorded in the form of a hologram. How curious. Of course, the goddess had seen such technology before in the hands of the Sheikah, but never anything quite like this. She watched the recording of a flying stadium fall to Earth. And again, and again. But it seemed like what had really garnered Lunaris' attention was a little speck, which when zoomed on, was the figure of a strange red-and-black figure carrying what looked like a nurse.

unnamed (2).jpgA hush fell upon the scene as the Royal Court waited for their Lord to dictate his orders. And then, the little pink fairy named Shiri revealed itself to Lunaris. "Hmm..." Cia sighed as she pursed her lips in thought. If Lunaris had his own army too, then there would have to be something that he was fighting against, right? And whatever he was fighting had something to do with the fallen Stadium and the dark figure and pink nurse caught on the footage from the Golden Eye.

Not caring about Lunaris' current irritation, the sorceress pointed her staff towards the Golden Eye and asked bluntly, "So, would you care to entertain me and tell me what that was all about? With that Stadium falling from the sky and all?"

Mewtwo nodded.

Now he had a mission, something that would make his sudden displacement worthwhile. Now he knew the reason, he must find these Pillars and bring down this Lunaris once and for all.

With that, he glanced at the others, probing their minds for their reaction to the news.

As for he, himself, he was glad for the mission. He now had a purpose. A purpose outside of Pokemon.

Though his questions have not ceased. He spotted several irregularies in the Cranky Monkey's speech patterns but as he knew that his patience was wearing thin, he did not bother to address them. It was probably not that important anyway. Besides he had enough of Mister Cranky anyway.

So saying, after the curt nod, he started floating toward the door.

"We should be in our way then. The longer we daddle, the more time this Lunaris has to gather these Pillars and I would not like to see what would happen if he wins."

He glanced at each of the Smash Brothers in turn, Toon Link, Princess Daisy, Ike and even the croc. Though he suspected that the croc was going to stay.

Pyra was a bit surprised by Lana's reaction to Toon Link. While it was normal for the residents of this Realm to know of them, it was surprising that an outsider knew of one of them, though then again perhaps it was normal. People could be from the same worlds as others. There were no rules against that. It just seemed too ironic that they would encounter someone who knew of their missing companion, though it seemed knowing of him did little to help them in finding him. It was a shame, but there wasn't much they could do about it. For now they would need to remain hopeful that the young Hylian would be alright on his own and that the crystal in his possession would remain safe.

Pushing the thought aside, Pyra rubbed the back of her neck as Lana questioned the chaos she had previously alluded to. How could she even explain it? She wasn't even sure, especially since her and Pit only knew so much themselves. Before she could part her own lips to speak, the angel spoke as he explained the situation with Toon Link. In a way it was part of the chaos of this world, though it was merely the surface level.

"I wish I could tell you exactly what chaos we are facing, but even we only know so much..." the aegis began, but before she could continue the nearby radio echoed out and cut the poor blade off from explaining the situation.

She was prepared to pay no mind to the silly interview that seemed to be taking place, but as soon as names began getting dropped, she found herself listening in, her facial expression growing rather serious. Sephiroth's name alone sent a shiver down her spine. She never particularly liked the other fighter, though it was no surprise even his tendencies, but what was worse was the one who supposed took care of the problem that the one-winged angel had posed.

"Lunaris..." she breathed out softly. They had heard that name before, hadn't they? Given how hectic things had been for them, it was hard to remember. Her thoughts were still a jumbled mess even though she had some time to recompose herself. It wasn't nearly enough to fully get her head on straight. Turning her gaze towards Pit, a look of concern flashed across her features. "Sounds like we might be in deep this time.... a foe that can easily rid a meteor... we best be careful in our approach."

While she knew the Smash Bros were powerful, it still did bother her, especially since the Hands seemed to be helping... well she could only assumed based off the Yoshi's claim of the scene. It was possible it was some kind of exaggeration though. For now, she couldn't worry about it though.

Pyra's fiery gaze flickered back to the other woman present and she forced a weak smile upon her lips. "Well, I hope you don't plan on bailing after hearing that. I suppose that gives an idea of the chaos we are facing," she sighed. "Plus, if you know Toon Link, then you are a welcomed ally in my eyes, so I'd be grateful if you'd help."

Zelda
The Princess of the Ages

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

It had been a year since the War Across the Ages had reached its resolution. And with its end brought a tranquility that many that lived in Hyrule missed. But nobody had missed it more than Hyrule's audacious princess and her loyal knight.

After the War, Zelda's first act was to promote Link as the Chief Knight Commander. There was no one else the princess deemed more worthy for the role than him. Afterward, many festivities and joyful ceremonies were held to celebrate the Hyrulean Forces and their bravery. For Impa, for Link, for Zelda herself. But in the back of her mind, the princess couldn't help but feel guilty. They were leaving out the one person who had helped them the most, leaving a certain sorceress' praise unsung. It didn't sit with her right. But then again, Zelda found that a lot of the outcome of the war didn't sit with her right.
Everything felt wrong, somehow. It felt a bit too perfect.

~

One fine afternoon, Zelda, Link, and Impa were riding on horseback through Hyrule Field. They had settled things down for a picnic, and were enjoying the nice weather and late-spring sun as they ate Deku Nut-butter sandwiches and drank Lon Lon milk. The royal excused herself for a moment afterward as Link finished up his meal and Impa began to clean up.

Zelda walked alone in the fields, taking in the serenity of nature. She absentmindedly pulled out her harp, and began to strum a gentle melody. Only when her fingers decided to play Zelda's Lullaby, did she realize that she had been in the exact same situation before.

Her consciousness screamed out. She had been here before, strumming away!

Then, a sudden darkness loomed over the princess. Looking around warily, she saw a dark, dense fog hovering over Hyrule's greenery, looming closer to her. Dropping her harp, Zelda let out a gasp, backing away from the fog. She turned and looked back at where Impa and Link last were, but they were gone. The Hylian looked back at the fog, which was coming closer. She began running as fast as her legs could take her, but the fog was too quick. Zelda screamed as she was smothered in darkness.

Deep within Zelda's mind, she remembered that this was a nightmare. This was a nightmare she had back when the War Across the Ages had first begun in front of Hyrule Castle. But she didn't wake up. She was trapped in darkness, and she tried to squirm, to wake herself up, but she couldn't.

A chilling, cruel laugh filled the darkness, and right in front of Zelda, appeared a hooded, dark creature, dressed in shades of purple and gold. Only a glowing red eye could be seen from the darkness of the creature's hood. It ran a thin, clawed finger gently on Zelda's jaw, making her shudder. The robed creature cackled.

1718208193074.png

???
"Ah, don't you remember an old friend, my sweet?"

The general shuddered- its red eye had turned into a mouth with gross teeth and a chilling smile, just to speak to her, before turning back into an eyeball!
1718203432741.png

Zelda
"Wizzro, I thought you had been sent running back home with your tail between your legs after we forced you to tattle on your precious Dark Sorceress."

Wizzro's eye narrowed at the princess.

1718203628896.png

Wizzro
"Feisty one, aren't you? Not nice at all for a princess, Your Highness. I might have felt bad for what your future holds if you didn't sass me."

The princess hesitated, then she demanded,
1718203851474.png

Zelda
"What do you mean by that?"

1718204036035.png

Wizzro
"Oh, you'll see, Princess, you'll see. I may have had to betray my Mistress to save my life, but that is trivial compared to what I have done and will continue to do for her. Who is the one who revived her? Me! Who will be the one who satisfies her demands and becomes her most honored servant? ME!"

He cackled with rising mania.

1718204561526.png

Wizzro
"She will soon embrace me with open arms, you'll see, and it will all start once I bring you to the realm she currently resides in! Soon, the Triforce will be at arms reach for my precious Mistress, and it will all have been because of me!"

He then disappeared with a swish of his robes, leaving Zelda alone, floating in the darkness. But suddenly, tendrils began to lash out at her, pulling at her arms and legs, tighter and tighter until her screams echoed and her limbs felt like they were about to pop off...

~

Zelda woke up with a start, gasping for breath. The princess felt shivery and clammy as she tried to wrap her mind around what had just happened. There was darkness, and pain, and fog and...Wizzro...the old sorcerer that had served Cia during the War Across the Ages...

Slowly, the Hylian peeled herself from the covers of her bed and got out of bed. She stepped out into the balcony adjacent to her bedroom. It was late at night, and silence reigned supreme over the kingdom. She looked out over Hyrule Field, trying to get herself to stop trembling. 'It was a dream' she repeated in her mind, 'Just a stupid dream'.

Still, she couldn't get rid of the nagging feeling that it wasn't just a nightmare. That dream had felt too real.

A knock on her door made the royal jump. She normally wasn't this skittish, but her sleep had really shaken her. Quietly walking towards her bedchamber's door, she opened it and was surprised to see Impa standing there, accompanied by two soldiers, who immediately kneeled in respect for their princess before standing up again.
1718204736360.png

Zelda
"Impa, gentlemen, what brings you to see me at such an hour?"

1718204942145.png

Impa
"Your Highness, apologies for waking you up, but this is a serious issue that couldn't wait until morning. There are reports of an ambush from soldiers stationed at Eldin Caves. We've already arranged for Link as well as reinforcements to accompany us, Princess."

The princess' eyes widened as Impa's blunt words sank in. After the War Across the Ages, Zelda had stationed small knight squadrons in territories around Hyrule just in case of future conflict, but she never would have thought that they would send a warning before, especially not one of an ambush!

There was no time to waste. Zelda closed the door on them, only to open it up again, minutes later, dressed in her armor, her boots, and her crown. Her eyes glittered with a fierce determination.
1718205141049.png

Zelda
"Let's go."

With that, she began striding down the hall quickly with Impa and the soldiers in tow.

~

As the two women rode into the darkness on horseback, accompanied by Link and a swarm of knights, the sound of clopping hooves swept over Hyrule Field as they set their sights eastward, towards the Eldin Caves. The general felt her stomach churn as she thought about Impa's sudden alert and the events that had led up to it...to the nightmare with Wizzro...the bad omens were stacking up.

Zelda turned to Link, who was riding at her side.
1718205365386.png

Zelda
"Link. If something happens to me and I go missing or I fall during battle, I want you to take care of Hyrule for me."

The knight in green raised his eyebrows and stared at the princess. He was surprised that Zelda held such pessimism, but he nodded slowly. He would have been a fool to not agree to a direct order from his superior, after all.

Impa, who was riding at Zelda's other side, spoke up.

1718205488992.png

Impa
"I'm sure everything will be fine, Your Highness. We've triumphed over many obstacles already, and the Hyrulean Forces are as strong as ever."

The royal nodded, to appease Impa if nothing else, but she still felt the pit in her stomach as they continued on into the rocky territory of the caves. Already, they could hear sounds of the altercations, the sounds of shouts and swords and bloodshed. Zelda and her units pulled to a halt in front of the Eldin Caves, where they prepared to enter the fray. A Goron Captain was stationed in the front, keeping the outside of the Caves safe for their preparation.

1718205640691.png

Goron Captain
"Better be careful, it's a doozy in there..."

Zelda walked in front of her units, before she summoned her rapier in a shimmer of golden light.
1718205783081.png

Zelda
"Men, we stand here tonight to quell whatever foes lurk inside this cave. Remember, you fight not for me, but for the Eldin Caves, for Hyrule, for your fellow soldier, Goron or Hylian. Fight with honor, and do your best. That is all I ask. Here is where we make our mark. Here is where we can stifle whatever ambush is taking place, before it can ferment and turn into something ugly. So raise your blades with valor, and let us crusade into battle with pride!"

The knights erupted into a cheer, their morale boosted by Zelda's pep talk. They split up into three factions, each cluster of knights grouped with Impa, Link, or Zelda, and charged headfirst into battle.

In that moment, all Zelda could hear was her heart thumping in her ears as she was reminded terribly of the War Across the Ages, as she and her knights sliced and diced at Bokoblins and Lizalfos, and pushed back the infantry, which had quickly overridden the Hyrulean and Goron forces prior to their arrival.

Soon, Zelda and her portion of the infantry had managed to press forward enough to enter the Enemy Keep, which she did without hesitation. But as soon as she and her units did, she was met with a sinister cackle that chilled her to the bone. She looked up, and saw Wizzro floating above them, snickering with glee.

1718205935496.png

Wizzro
"Do you like my little ruse, sweetheart?"

1718206082273.png

Zelda
"Wizzro, you-- so the dream was--"

The evil wizard snickered, suddenly hovering very close to the general's face.

1718206244840.png

Wizzro
"What, did you really think it was just a dream? It was all part of my trap, Princess! I knew you and your little comrades wouldn't hesitate to come here if I caused chaos! You all do have quite the hero complex!"

One of the knights ordered Wizzro to halt, trying to step between them. With a casual flick of the mage's wrist, the knight was lifted off the ground and slammed into the cave wall with a resounding thud and a yelp. The knights around her stirred, and Zelda watched with shock, before she raised her rapier and pointed the tip at Wizzro.
1718206346370.png

Zelda
"What is your scheme?! Spill it before I tear you to shreds!"

Wizzro simply laughed tauntingly in her face before he swished his cloak and disappeared, replaced with a gaping, purple portal that threatened to suck her in.

The royal felt herself being lifted off her feet, the portal's pull growing in ferocity. A few of her soldiers quickly tried to pull her back onto the ground by the arms, but the pull from the portal became stronger, and stronger, until the knights were forced to surrender and watch their princess be swallowed up by the dark void, shrieking in despair, until she and the portal vanished, leaving a devastated silence in their wake.

~

Once Zelda regained consciousness, she found herself sprawled out on a dusty stone floor. She could still hear the sounds of fighting, so for a moment, she thought that she was still in the Eldin Caves. She blearily opened her eyes, and looked around. She was situated in an ancient looking room, all sandy...she slowly rose to her feet, picking up her rapier that lay next to her, before she thought about what had just happened.

So Wizzro was behind all this madness that had disrupted her peaceful life? She clenched her fists tightly, before letting out a calming breath. Now was not the time to get all angry. Instead, the Hylian reasoned that she should focus her energy on figuring out where she was now and what would be the best course of action to getting back to Eldin Caves.

She peeked out a window, and she quickly located the source of the sounds of battle. There were a group of fiery, lion-like animals surrounding two individuals who were fighting them off. It was hard to tell exactly what was going on, so the general decided to investigate. She bounded down the stairs of the fortress, darting through the halls, until she made it to the gates. From here, it was much easier to see the battle being waged. She gripped her rapier tighter as she slipped past the gates of the Fortress and into the sandy outskirts of the battlefield, stepping past abandoned trebuchets and broken arrows, cautiously advancing towards the fray. She didn't want to get tangled into another man's fight without reason to, after all...

Console City was home to the only transporter to the Flying Citadel. Pauline would not have to walk far as a new office to house the transporter had been built into the Town Hall soon after Lunaris took control of the World of Trophies. The transporter itself, a golden disk large enough to hold three people, was under the constant guard of two massive armored Lynels, the grinning silver and gold masked emblem on their chestpiece marking their allegience to Lunaris. To the right of the transporter was a desk manned by the purple pelican, Phyllis, who was wearing earbuds and watching a soap opera on a tablet.

As Pauline approached the desk, Phyllis raised her head. "Mmm? (Great, it's the Mayor. I actually have to work now...) Wel-come, Mayor. If you have come for an audience with Lunaris, the queue is currently... empty. Just show me your identification and you can go. It will be contained within the emblem delivered to you after the transporter was installed."

On the back wall behind the desk was a poster showing the grinning silver and gold emblem, same as the ones the Lynels wore, and information in regards to it. Political leaders, celebrities, and other important figures in the Smash Realm received an emblem after Lunaris took over, and it granted them access to the transporter within Console City. Phyllis quickly scanned the emblem, which confirmed Pauline's identity, and returned it.

"Okay, done! (Now, shoo!)"

The two Lynel guards raised their gigantic halberds to allow the mayor access to the golden disk. Her job done for the moment, Phyllis put her earbuds back in and returned her attention to her tablet.

("Why did he have to destroy that Meteor? I could've had the whole day off, but nooooooo!")

Upon stepping onto the disk, Pauline will find herself transported to the Flying Citadel. She was standing upon another golden disk which was embedded into a large hexigonal platform made of white marble. Like in Console City, it was guarded by two armored Lynel. The area was secluded, a cobblestone path marked the way in front of her while a wall of blue-grey stone and neatly pruned trees covered her sides and back. Following the path, the confining walls will broke away, revealing a plaza with a marble fountain adorning its center. Surrounding the fountain were well-tended grassy patches with bushes and flower gardens, and benches for the weary shopper to rest upon. Bordering the plaza were various small shops and restaurants. A signpost helpfully designated the destination of each street. According to the signpost, besides the plaza there was a Military Square, the Residential Square (where the members of the royal court lived), and Pauline's destination, the Flying Citadel itself.

The castle looked like something straight out of a fairy tale. It was made of blue-grey stone that matched the walls, and topped with silver and gold spires. Stained-glass windows added to the whimsical charm of the castle. It certainly did not look like the lair of an evil overlord!

A pink ball of light with insect wings, a fairy, flew right up to Pauline. "Oh! Hello! You must be Pauline! I'm Shiri, the chamberlain of Lord Lunaris. Things are a little chaotic right now, what with the Meteor, but my lord should be able to see you. Please follow me."

Shiri led Pauline toward the castle. The courtyard, much like the plaza, was lush with topiary and flower gardens. Some of the artistically pruned foliage even came to life upon being approached! A large bush that was in the shape of the Pokemon Persian purred at Pauline and licked its paw. Ahead of the mayor and the fairy was a dispersing crowd of nobles. Whatever had happened, either the nobility got bored and were leaving of their own volition, or they were dismissed. With their departure, Lord Lunaris was revealed with the masked woman, Cia, with him. They were both observing a hologram projected by a small golden ball within Lunaris's armored hand.

At Cia's demand for an explanation to what she had seen through the hologram, Lunaris deactivated the sphere and tucked it into his doublet, then turned to face the sorceress. He lightly placed a finger on the tip of her staff.

"I can do more than entertain you, my lady," Lunaris began, his tone pleasant. "I've won control of this realm through right of conquest, and as such I have enemies aplenty, some quite powerful. Legendary, even. You are the general of your own army, yes? I always have an eye out for potential allies." Lunaris stepped closer to the sorceress, hand trailing down the staff until it encompassed Cia's hand. The Lord's voice was warm and soft, inviting. "I think we'd work very well together, Lady Cia."

Before Lunaris could say more, Shiri arrived with Pauline. "My lord, Mayor Pauline of Console City is here!"

Lunaris stepped away from Cia. Turning toward Pauline, the masked Hylian grabbed his cloak and dipped into an elaborate bow. "Ah, what a surprise! Miss Pauline of Console City! At last, you've decided to visit the Flying Citadel. What can I do for you, my lady?"

Needless to say, magic was not the forte of Pauline. She knew of the convenience of the teleporter that just so happened to send one to the Flying Citadel if one needed, but she very much still was a woman who was getting used to how magic was actually present in her world. With both her feet firmly placed on the teleportation disk, she released a gasp as the world around her seemed to fade away, only to piece itself back together in a brand new canvas, that of an office that seemed to be kept under heavy guard by two hulking, armored beings.
"Oh my... I don't think I'll ever get used to that."
She gasped, before looking up at the two Lynels who probably noticed her sudden arrival, and then to the one who clearly was running the office - albeit poorly. It was clear she was a little too distracted. Just before Pauline could dare say a word, Phyllis was already trying to get her out of the picture, scanning her emblem before quickly asking her to leave. She shrugged, and strutted off.

Then came the introduction of Shiri that emerged after another mind-warping teleportation session that left Pauline feeling a little woozy.
"Hooh... oh my. My apologizes for the sudden arrival. It's a pleasure to meet you Shiri, but I'm afraid that I'm here for important business related to the wellbeing and safety of Console City, and I do request his presence."
Her journey continued on, this time through the castle itself, that alone from how well-maintained it was clearly seemed to overshadow Console City when it came to its living conditions. Living topiary, rushes of nobility, and built architecture that looked like something Pauline read as a childhood fairytale. Such time, as wonderful as it seemed, was short-lived, as Pauline remembered the mission at hand, and with it, the presence of the man she was searching for.

- - -

It almost felt like it was the perfect time for the conversation between Lunaris and Cia to conclude as Mayor Pauline soon found herself face-to-face with Lord Lunaris himself. Yet as she gazed upon him... she couldn't help but to feel a little uneasy. She wasn't that aware of how the lord, as mention prior, took over lands by conquest. She knew snippets of information here and there... but nothing yet to truly pinpoint what a man he was. But she couldn't shake one thing away - Pauline felt afraid.
She was a woman who in the past was held hostage by a giant ape, performed many a show even to those that were unsavory, and then had to confront the political landscape of New Donk City itself. She had experience with a few nerve-wracking elements, but the idea that this man before her could prevent the impact of a giant meteor... just what was he capable of?

Nevertheless, she stood before him, a seemingly ordinary lady who held nothing but the political power in her hands, in front of the savior of the realm. As Shiri introduced her to Lunaris, Pauline would bow to him as well. She wasn't nearly as elaborately dressed, wearing her signature red dress and brown heels, but it was only polite for her to do the same.
"It's a pleasure to meet you in person as well, Lunaris. I apologize, but I'm afraid that I'm not here for a simple cup of tea and a chat."
She replied, her face contorting into a small frown. Plucking up what courage she had, she explained the situation at hand.

"You see, Console City is not undergoing a state of dire crisis from what my reports tell me; but tensions are looking to be higher than they've ever been. With the increase in both crime and natural disasters in the area, my resources are being used to counteract those problems, but I'm afraid that not all of it can be solved as simply as throwing money at a problem. There's only so much a woman such as myself can do, and I don't think hosting another grand opening of a store will be a good solution like it was back in New Donk City... I require something more permanent to give my citizens the peace of mind they deserve, to make them feel safer as they go through their daily lives. Hearing that you've prevented the destruction of the realms, it has made me wonder if you would have the means of helping me out, even if it's just a fraction compared to what you've done for everyone around the world."

She clapped her hands together softly, before moving them close to her chest.
"Now, I'm afraid Console City is not a place that would have much compared to this illustrious flying citadel - I'm more used to political discussion with neighboring cities, not airships - but if you can assist us with this issue, let it be known that I'd be more than grateful to provide what I can."

Lana
The White Sorceress

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Lana had been a bit surprised at the tone Pit took with her, not to mention the way he had folded his arms and downright pouted like that! Still, she didn't ask, instead, choosing to focus on the words instead of the tone. "Oh goddesses, I hope the Hero of the Winds is alright..." she sighed, her tome disappearing from her grip. The deity wrapped her arms around herself, the sinking weight in her stomach increasing tenfold. Lana's feeling of foreboding had been correct; there was indeed many things amiss in this Realm.
1718374444999.png
When Pyra spoke up, the sorceress' eyes quickly focused on the Aegis. But it seemed that the fiery woman barely knew more about thewhole situation than Lana did. The maiden pursed her lips, her expression rather forlorn, that is, until one of the inn's staff turned on the radio.

Lana tuned into what the radio was broadcasting, her pointed ears twitching ever so slightly as she listened to the news report. As details of events that had transpired recently were recalled by the reporter, including eye-witnesses, the goddess felt a nervous jolt go through her body. She had, of course, dealt with many powerful foes in her limited time as her own being. But to hear that an entire meteor had not only been hurled towards Earth by someone named Sephiroth, it was also destroyed by another person named Lunaris, accompanied by these seemingly powerful beings called 'Hands', whatever that meant...

Judging by Pyra's reaction towards the information, Lunaris was not a good-hearted individual despite having saved the Earth from a giant meteor. Lana didn't find that too surprising though; she knew from personal experience that foes weren't as simple as black-and-white.

A thought occurred to the sorceress, however. "So...one of the same Hands that the Blue Yoshi person saw is also the one who gave this K.K. Slider a guitar pick? Why would anyone want a single guitar pick as a prize...?" she muttered under her breath, gazing at the radio thoughtfully, as if it would mosey on over from its perch on the windowsill and tell her the answer itself. The entire thing was a bit strange. If the Yoshi wasn't somehow hallucinating, the Hands had hit the flaming meteor to help stop it from destroying the world, and yet one of those powerful beings was handing around musical accessories? More importantly, it was so precious that it was seen as a more-than-acceptable award for a competition? Peculiar...

1718374313587.pngAs the Aegis picked up the conversation with Lana again, the deity returned the slight smile. She cocked her head to the side, placing her hands on her hips before she declared with an upbeat vibrancy that convincingly masked the anxiety she felt. "Me? Bailing? You have to be kidding. I've dealt with things just as if not worse than this and came out the other end alive. I may be a lot of things, but a wuss isn't one of them!"

"Besides,"
Lana added in a lower and much more genuine tone, "I never back down on a promise. I said I'd lend you my strength, and I'm going to see that vow through to the end."

Not far from the small group of rag-tag adventurers, upon a small cliff on which a large weeping willow grew, stood the dark priestess, Odessa. Unaware of the Super Smash Brothers and their companions below, she was focused on her own images conjured by the cursed swamp: that of her lost brother, husband, and little daughter, victims of the gods' petty squabbles between each other. Yet, despite the grief she felt she did not sink into the Sorrowfen. Instead, she meditated on it, and used it to strengthen her resolve. One day, the gods will be the ones weeping bitter tears for her pain. The heavens shall fall, the gods knocked from their pedestals, and all mortals who have suffered under their cruelty and lack of care shall have their vengeance!

The happy squeaking voice of Yoshi pulled Odessa from her meditation. Glancing over the cliff, she saw Captain Falcon emerge from the muck and Yoshi rushing over to hug him. There were two others, a creature Odessa heard was called a Moogle, and a black hedgehog similar to the one that was associated with the Super Smash Brothers, Sonic. A massive, wriggling vine blocked their path to the depths of the Sorrowfen, likely belonging to this "Demon Tree" that guarded the marsh. To be able to pull themselves from the depths of despair, the Super Smash Brothers' resolve was strong, indeed, though Odessa found that to be of little surprise.

Though Odessa had no personal quarrel against the Super Smash Brothers, she can not allow them to escape. They presented too much of a threat to Lunaris's plans, and her own. Turning away from the phantom images of her slain family, Odessa raised her staff, that of two Shemum facing each other, their tails intertwined on the rod, and summoned a dozen Keepahs. She pointed her staff at the adventurers below in a silent order to attack.

Wicked cackling filled the air as the spear-wielding one-eyed devils swooped down upon the Super Smash Brothers. Like angry hornets, they jabbed at them with their spears, flew off, then dove down upon them again to repeat the attack. In the middle of the chaos, an opportunistic Pluton leaped from the marsh shrubbery and onto Yoshi's back! It gave the dinosaur a hard kick to his sides and rode off with him, leaping over the large vine and away from the group!

It happened so fast. Shadow and Mog noticed tge incoming Keepahs that sent spears flying toward them.
Shadow sent his own Chaos spears. The Chaos energy beams were sent toward the creatures in attempt to counter them. "Mr Shadow! A meanie is capturing friend Yoshi Kupo!!!" Mog cried. Shadow noticed Pluton attemting to ride Yoshi . Mog was about to fly after Pluton and Yoshi but Shadow stopped him. " Stay with Captain Falcon and help him. I'll go after them." Shadow them dashed after Pluton and Yoshi.

Mog had to choice but to assist Captain Falcon.

F-Zero_-_Captain_Falcon_as_seen_in_F-Zero_GX_and_F-Zero_AX (1).pngAs chaos erupted around them, Captain Falcon quickly assessed the situation. Yoshi had been taken by Pluton, and Shadow had dashed off in pursuit. Meanwhile, the Keepahs continued their relentless assault, diving in with spears and then retreating, making it difficult to counterattack effectively.

"Stay close, Mog!" Falcon shouted over the din of battle, his voice firm with resolve. "We need to fend off these Keepahs and find a way through that vine!" He glanced around, searching for any advantage they could use against the flying attackers.

Taking a defensive stance, Falcon waited for the next wave of Keepahs to swoop in. As they closed in, he lunged forward, dodging their spears with swift movements and countering with well-timed punches and kicks. His mind raced, calculating their movements and strategizing their next move. They couldn't afford to lose track of Pluton and Yoshi, but first, they needed to secure their position against the Keepahs' relentless assault.

"We can't let them overwhelm us, Mog," Falcon continued, his eyes focused on the swirling melee. "Keep your guard up and watch each other's backs. We'll get through this!" With determination blazing in his eyes, Captain Falcon prepared to fight alongside his companion, ready to protect and press forward against whatever obstacles stood in their path.

Hearing Falcon's comments, Yoshi huffed softly. What was he supposed to think after all the warnings they had gotten before coming to this place. It was hard to think otherwise. He decided against voicing it though. There was no point in it even if he felt it might be something worth pointing out. Pushing the thought aside, he pulled back from the other Smash Brother and gave a small nod of his head. All they could do was press on and hope for the best.

Before he could even take a step forward though, the sight of the keepahs caught his attention. More problems? How great. As if sinking into a swamp wasn't problematic enough! Seeing the purple, winged creatures come swooping in, Yoshi steeled himself for a fight. It was all he could do given the situation at hand. He couldn't say he was too happy about it though. If anything he was tired of it being on problem after another. There were no breaks to be had!

As he readied himself to launch his tongue out at one of the enemies, he was caught by surprise and suddenly felt weight upon his back. He would have turned to look, but he didn't even have time for that before he felt a foot jab into his side, instinctively triggering his body to move without much resistance. All these years of being "trained" to reacted to such a thing was only natural. It didn't even matter who his rider was, his feet moved on their own, and he fled from his own party with the pluton on his back.

Splashing through the mud, Yoshi cried out as he finally caught sight of what was on his back. It was an enemy... or was it? He actually didn't know, but given its antics he was sure it was! However, he couldn't even control his own movements; not his feet at least.

"Where taking Yoshi?! Yoshi no go with you!" he finally objected as he tried to shake the thief off his back. It was the only thing he could do unless he planned something more advanced. Was he even capable of that? He had his doubts. Part of him wanted to believe he might get help as well, but with what was happen prior to all this, he wasn't sure if he'd be on his own or not. He HAD to do things himself. As much as he rather follow the others and assist them, he had to find a way to step up! His mind raced as he looked around for some kind of solution to his problem. The dino was trying to find confidence in himself despite the fact he was not alone.

A lone tree was what sparked an idea. Seeing it standing among the muck, Yoshi knew he could use it to try and slow his forward momentum. It might not work entirely, but he had to try. Maybe it would even fling his captor off him.

Putting faith in himself, the dino shot his tongue out at its trunk and wrapped it around it. Using all his strength, he pulled himself in, flinging himself at the trunk before recoiling his tongue and putting himself off balance to fall face first into the murky waters.

Mog was overwhelmed right now. The Keepah were still attacking them, and a strange creature took Yoshi as an hostage. He hoped Shadow was able to catch up with Yoshi and his captor.Mog nodded to the Captain after he asked him to stay close. " I will Kupo! I will not let my friends down!!!"
The next wave of Keepah was getting closer.
Mog focused and performs the Forrest Nocturne. Each of his dance allows him to use many abillities tied to the element they each represent.
"Leaf swirl!"
many sharp leaves magically materialised around Mog. This attack looked similar to grass type pokemon moves such as razor leaf or Magical leaf. The sharp leaves were sent flying toward the Keepah.

Corrin watched with trepidation as Nurse Joy called out Audino in response to Sheik's nagging. Was this Pokemon going to use a move on her??

But as Audino used Heal Pulse, she was astounded to feel pleasurable waves cascade over her body. The throbbing pain in her wing slowly disappeared, and she was left with a rather serene feeling in her soul. And she could sense that she wasn't the only one. Her wing finally retracted magically into her armor, and she smiled gratefully at Nurse Joy. "Thank you, madam. And thank you too, Audino."

Hearing Zelda resume speaking to her, Corrin looked back at her fellow princess and nodded cheerfully, replying, "I feel fine. Wonderful, even."
However, as the Hylian engaged in a solemn monologue about her feelings, the dragon's smile fell from her face. It seemed Zelda felt somewhat guilty about having sent others on Dark Pit's trail without doing much to help them herself, and wanted to join the pursuit. "I see," Corrin mumbled, her crimson eyes filled with concern. "Refrain from feeling guilt. Surely none of this is your fault."

At that moment, Sheik decided to jump in, and gave her brief yet clear thoughts on whether or not Zelda should become Corrin's plus-one. As the Sheikah sent them off (with a rather caring gesture from such an aloof person), it seemed that the princess had little choice. Turning to the Hyrulean, she took a bracing breath, and nodded, replying earnestly, "If it is that important to you, I will bring you along. I agree, even if Dark Pit wishes to go solo, the least we can do is arm him with wisdom. Knowledge is power, after all, and I would like to wish him the best of luck if he is to leave us all behind."

Corrin then grinned in a rather cheeky way and asked, "Are you ready? I hope heights don't scare you!"
With that, the armored princess stepped back from the others, taking a deep breath and clutching onto Azura's pendant as a thick mist and splash of water disrupted the air around her. A torrential roar rumbled the Earth as Corrin re-appeared in her draconic form. The beast flapped its wings before it slowly lowered closer to the ground, inclining its head towards Zelda, gesturing for her to climb on.

The Darknut Legionnaire couldn't help but show a flicker of surprise as Cyan's strikes began to chip and crack his seemingly impregnable armor. His red eyes widened slightly, acknowledging the power and determination behind each of Cyan's blows.

"This... this power," the Darknut murmured, more to himself than to anyone else. He steadied himself, feeling the weight of his damaged armor, a testament to the formidable strength and spirit of his opponent. "You have proven yourself, Cyan Garamonde. Your resolve is unyielding, and your honor undeniable."

The Darknut took a step back, lowering his sword in a gesture of respect. "I underestimated your strength and your conviction. You are truly worthy."

Peregrine watched the duel with a mix of awe and admiration. He had always believed in Cyan's potential, but seeing it unfold before his eyes was something else entirely. As Cyan's final strike landed and the Darknut's armor began to give way, Peregrine's eyes gleamed with pride.

"Incredible, Cyan! You've shown the true heart of a warrior," Peregrine exclaimed, stepping forward to stand beside Cyan. "Your strength and spirit are exactly what we need to face the challenges ahead!"

The Darknut Legionnaire, now visibly impressed, sheathed his sword and bowed slightly to Cyan. "I, too, am a warrior bound by honor and duty. I respect your strength and your cause. You and your companion may pass. I will inform our leaders of your arrival and your noble intent. Perhaps there is more to your quest than meets the eye."

With that, the Darknut turned and began to lead the way, his steps heavy but purposeful. "Follow me, warriors. Let us see if the leaders of the Darknut Legion are as impressed by your resolve as I am."

Peregrine placed a hand on Cyan's shoulder, a gesture of camaraderie and respect. "You've done well, my friend! This is only the beginning, but with your strength and determination, I have no doubt we will succeed in our mission! Let's continue forward, together!"

Pit was disappointed to hear that Lana had not seen the missing swordsman. However, upon seeing the worried faces on Lana and Pyra, Pit got a stiff upper lip and declared with full confidence, "Aw, wherever T'ink is, he'll be fine, I'm sure of it! Ganon has tried to kill him over many lifetimes; a bit of water isn't going to stop a Link! Besides, T'ink grew up on water."

The interview on the radio caught the angel's attention. As he listened in, his face grew dark. Sephiroth. Just hearing that name caused a great burning anger to well up within the captain. He was claimed to be an angel, something Pit took as a huge and unforgivable offense. How dare such an evil being declare himself to be the same as Pit! And to top it off, Sephiroth can fly... with one wing! That just isn't fair!

According to witnesses, Sephiroth had summoned a Meteor to destroy the Smash Realm. Baffled, Pit looked to Pyra. What in Heaven did they miss while they were at (and under) the sea?! But the problem was quickly remedied by this Lunaris guy and the Hands, who destroyed the Meteor and apparently sent Sephiroth away with his tail tucked between his legs. Pit wished he could have seen that!

"Wait, didn't those Kremling pirates tell us that the Hands are missing?" Pit asked Pyra, repeating the Blue Yoshi's question. He listened further, pondering on the other name mentioned in the interview: Lunaris. Pit shut his eyes tight in concentration. He had heard that name before! Pyra repeated the name, confirming that they had heard it somewhere. Things have just been so chaotic that it was hard to keep track of everything, and Pit was not one for deep thinking. He'd rather leave that to Lady Palutena.

But Palutena isn't here.

Pit decided not to dwell on that and opened his eyes to see Pyra looking back at him with concern. Things seemed really bad right now, and as the highest ranking officer-- well, the ONLY officer present, that meant Pit is in charge! His first order of business: to return the smile to Pyra's face!

"HA! Destroy a meteor? Is that all?" Pit scoffed. "Samus has blown up whole planets! I've destroyed a Moon (that actually wasn't a moon), Link has fought a Moon, Donkey Kong has punched a Moon! A meteor is nothing!"

Pit beamed as Lana declared her allegiance to their cause and he clenched a fist in determination. "That's the spirit, Lana! We cannot allow our spirits to falter here! This world needs us, and together we will save it! Lunaris and Sephiroth will face justice for their evil-doing, on my oath as an angel!"

The song on the radio was suddenly cut off.

"Breaking news," the young woman's voice interrupted, urgency in her tone. "The Stadium in the sky, where the legendary Super Smash Brother tournaments have taken place since the beginning of the World of Trophies, has fallen! Casualties number in the hundreds. Rescue and investigations are still on-going..."

Pit looked to Pyra in shock. The Stadium... fallen? His face became grim. "Pyra, we have to get to the Stadium as fast as possible! The others might be there and need our help!"

On top of the cliff, Odessa silently watched as her demons attacked the Super Smash Brothers. A Pluton took advantage of the chaos to hop onto Yoshi and ride off with him. Pluton were powerful devils; even with her powers Odessa had very little control over them and so she used them sparingly. In this case, summoning one proved to be a good move: now the Super Smash Brothers were divided. With the Dinosaur of Happiness away, the others may be more vulnerable to the Sorrowfen's aura of despair!

The black hedgehog broke away from the party to pursue Yoshi and the Pluton. Captain Falcon hardly seemed concerned about Yoshi's kidnapping. Either the racer had a lot of faith in his companions, or he was more cold-hearted than Odessa had anticipated. The priestess supposed it didn't matter; in moments they were all going to sink into the Sorrowfen's depths, never to be seen again!

Keepahs cried out in pain and shock as Captain Falcon's fierce attack knocked them from the sky and into the swamp water. Odessa calmly waved her staff. There was a shifting in the mist close to Captain Falcon and Mog. With a demonic screech, a ragged white spirit with blood-red hooked claws and firey eyes materialized from the mist and attacked with a vicious slash! A Zuree!

As Shadow pursued the Pluton who kidnapped Yoshi, the waters of the Sorrowfen began to bubble. Then, the grotesque bulbous heads of Shulms emerged from the slime. As Shadow passed by, the mushroom-like devils exploded, releasing life-draining toxic spores into the cold air.

Pluton let out a cry of dismay as he and Yoshi fell into the muck. The hairy demon flailed his large limbs and sputtered swamp water until he was able to grab onto a large tree root and pull himself out. Pluton shook muddy water off of himself then waved his fist at Yoshi as he ranted in a language unfamiliar to the dinosaur. With the rage behind the creature's words, it was probably best that Yoshi didn't understand what he was shouting.

Pluton grabbed a slimy vine that hung from the branches of the tree and tied a large noose into it. He tossed the noosed end toward Yoshi's nose, intending on wrangling the dinosaur and pulling him out of the water. Pluton was not about to let his prize get away! With his new mount, he will be the envy of every Pluton in the Underworld! He just had to break Yoshi first. A few sound beatings ought to do the trick! With one hand holding onto the rope, Pluton reached up and broke a thick branch off the tree with the other. He waved the makeshift club menacingly at Yoshi, making it very clear what will happen as soon as he left the water.

F-Zero_-_Captain_Falcon_as_seen_in_F-Zero_GX_and_F-Zero_AX (1).pngCaptain Falcon's focus remained sharp despite the sudden appearance of the Zuree. His instincts honed from countless battles kicked in as he swiftly evaded the spirit's slashing claws, ducking and rolling to the side. The fiery-eyed specter's attack left a searing trail through the air where Falcon had been moments before.

"Mog, watch out! We've got another one to deal with," Falcon called out, his voice steady and commanding as he assessed the new threat. The Zuree's malevolent presence added another layer of danger to their already chaotic situation.

Gathering his resolve, Falcon sprang back into action, his movements fluid and precise. He closed the distance to the Zuree with a burst of speed, delivering a series of rapid punches aimed at its ethereal form. Each strike was aimed to disrupt and weaken the spirit, using his agility to stay out of reach of its slashing claws.

As he fought, Falcon kept a vigilant eye on Mog, making sure the Moogle wasn't caught off guard by the Zuree's unpredictable attacks. His mind raced, formulating a strategy to neutralize the spirit while keeping their path forward clear. They couldn't afford to be delayed any longer, not with Yoshi taken and Shadow pursuing Pluton.

Cia
The Dark Sorceress

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cia wasn't expecting that sort of response from Lunaris- if anything, she was expecting him to tell her to more or less bugger off and stop nosing around in his business, so when he took such a pleasant tone with her and even took her hand in his, she found herself at a loss for words.

"You...wish to become allies?" she asked, her tone ambiguous, her staff disappearing from her hand in a faint smog of darkness. She didn't know what to think of this proclamation at first. She had the distinct feeling that Lunaris was only asking to become allies because of her military might and magical prowess. And yet, the allure of power called to her. It was a weakness that even Cia herself admitted she had, and it seemed to never waver.

But before the sorceress could even reply, Shiri had returned to her lord, and with a lady accompanying her. Cia glanced at her, and was impressed by the woman's snazzy style. Whoever this mortal was, they had good taste in clothing.

The deity watched in silence for a while, arms folded across her chest as her fellow mage turned his attentions onto the new arrival, but her attention was soon caught by a familiar whisper calling out to her, the same whisper that had been present when she had first came back to life.

Cia....Ciiiiaaaa....come to me.....

She looked down, and saw dark tendrils coming from her shadow, sweeping against her ankles lovingly. Once they saw that they had caught her attention, the tendrils darted across the courtyard, behind a cluster of thick topiary. She narrowed her eyes, her gaze sweeping across the small group of people around her, Lunaris, and Pauline, before she vanished quickly and silently, leaving nothing but a faint dark mist in her wake.

Cia reappeared behind the topiary a little ways away, which provided a clandestine privacy from the crowd. The goddess stood still for a moment, before she turned around swiftly, knowing exactly who would be there waiting for her.

Cia
"You really have the nerve to approach me after what you pulled? After you sold me out to save your own putrid skin?! I detest you, Wizzro."

1719377353242.png

Wizzro
"Please, mistress...say not those words...I crave your pardon, please, I am still your most devoted servant...!"

He then fell to the ground in front of Cia, clutching the hem of her robes and groveling most openly. The sorceress scoffed, placing her hands on her hips. It was clear she enjoyed his pitiful licking of her boots, but she wasn't going to forgive him too easily.

1719377858026.png

Cia
"Oh really? And why should I believe that after all the trouble you've caused me? I should seal you back into your ring as punishment, and that is rather lenient in my opinion."

The sorcerer then spilled everything that he had done prior to them meeting in the courtyard. How he, Wizzro, had brought Cia back to life after he had found the shreds of her soul that were lost to the winds, and how he planned to restore her to power after learning of the White Sorceress' whereabouts. He detailed how he had kidnapped the Princess of the Ages, Cia's nemesis, and placed her conveniently in arm's reach for her, so Cia could nab the Triforce for herself and achieve her ultimate goal.

The sorceress fell silent for a moment. Then, a smile appeared on her face. Her voice was cheerful, almost jovial.

1719378442686.png

Cia
"I see...well then, it seems that I have a second chance...a chance for revenge! But we must tread carefully, Wizzro. The Dark Forces have dwindled in number, and it is just us and a handful of monsters...hmm...things would be much easier with Volga here...but as for now, you have my gratitude, my Dark Sorcerer."

Wizzro beamed, adoring the praise from the Dark Sorceress, and kissed the hem of her robes with his gruesome mouth.

Wizzro
"Yes, mistress, thank you, mistress! I knew you would accept me with open arms, for you are the fairest, wisest, most admirable--"

Cia
"--Yes, yes, that's quite enough yapping from you. Now then, as you saw, I am currently in the midst of some rather important diplomatic affairs, so in the meantime, I want you to revive Volga. Then, report back to me with him. We must raise our numbers. The Dark Forces need rebuilding."

Wizzro frowned. He didn't want to bring Volga back, as he knew deep in his dark heart that Volga was more or less Cia's other right-hand man, and it was reflected in his rather sour tone, but still, he didn't dare refuse his mistress, especially when she just forgave him moments ago.

Wizzro
"Of course, Mistress..."

And with that, he let go of the sorceress and vanished with a swish of his cloak.

Pyra silently listened to Pit go on about how several of the Smash Brothers had fought, blown up, or otherwise destroyed a moon. Admittedly, it didn't ease her anxieties. There was a lot that could be said about the various members of their ranks and while she may have no notable things to speak of, Mythra did, although hers were better left unspoken. It was that display of destructive power that had brought her into existence after all. She knew all too well the pain it held. Of course, the others probably didn't hold such sorrow for the major things they had done, given most were deeds with good outcomes, whereas Mythra's, well good intentioned, destroyed an entire Titan and killed many innocent lives.

Feeling her other half's pain creeping in, Pyra quickly dismissed her thoughts and gave a slow nod of her head to show she had been listening. "Right, with the three of us, we should be fine and I'm sure Toon Link will be just fine. Our path will surely cross with him once again in the future."

There was a lingering uncertainty in her voice as she spoke, but she tried to hide it and focus on the positive. Even if she was worried of their chances alone, she was sure with the others it would go far smoother. She had to remember this fight was bigger than just the three of them. Who knew if people of this world would join them or what the others in their own ranks would have up their sleeves. They could very well be much more powerful than the last time they had met.

Remaining silent, the aegis pondered what to say next. The music from the radio was the only sound filling the brief pause in their conversation, but when it abruptly stopped and a reporter came on, Pyra's eyes widened. The news that was presented was somehow more shocking than the last: the Stadium had fallen. Hearing those words sent a shiver down her spine, but at the same time it got her mind thinking. It was odd to hear of an attempt to save in regards to the meteor attack into something like this. It made her wonder exactly who might be behind such a thing.

Her gaze flickered towards Pit pulling it up from the floor and she listened to him voice his concern. He declared they should head to the Stadium and see if any of their fellow Smash Brothers were there and in need of aid. The others... That struck a thought in her. While she didn't want to assume things, she felt it necessary to voice her thoughts on the matter, even if she had no concrete evidence.

"You're right, there could be others there that need our help but...." Pyra trailed off briefly as she hesitated to voice the thought that had come to her. She couldn't hesitate now. She needed to be firm in her thoughts even if they were nothing but what ifs. "I do feel we should keep in mind that this might not be the work of someone bad. Think about it, this Lunaris is supposedly the man ruling here, right? If he didn't care of places being destroyed then the meteor would have been none of his business. It makes me think it's unlikely tied to him. At least not his doing... Actually, I think the stark contrast might imply something completely different... it could be the work of one of our own."

She paused as the realization of her own words settled in. It was hard to imagine any of the others, aside from the villains, would do such a thing, but it seemed like a concept to keep in mind. They didn't know the details after all. For all she knew it could simply be a malfunction in the Stadium itself or something else completely irrelevant. There was no telling exactly what it was unless they investigated themselves or heard it from the radio, though it didn't seem like any answers had been found of the cause from what the reporter said.

"Of course, I have no evidence to prove my thoughts. If anything, I hope it's not the case, but we won't know until we get there."

Shadow was still in pursuit, chasing the Pluton and his hostage Yoshi. Then it got worst as Shulm emerged and expoided. Shadow first thought nothing of it.,simply using using Chaos control to teleport out of the explision's way. However, he wasn't out of harm's way. As they exploded, the pesky creatures unleashed toxic spores. Shadow could feel his life energy being sapped. He tried to go fast but each of hus steps became sluggish.

"Yes, Captain! We do need to defeat those creatures Kupo!" Mog replied. He danced again, performing the Snowball Rondo. As he did this, the air started to get colder. An avalanche was magically summoned out of thin air and cwas sent crashing toward the Zuree.

Cyan lowered his sword to return the respect the Dark Nut deserves truly the Dark Nut legionnaires are remarkable. He bows wordlessly awe inspired by their duel. “ Your resolve and conviction is the testament of a true warrior.” He shifted his glance to Peregrine bowing to him in respect to his newfound friend. “ I have to thank you for your encouragement and faith in me.” As well as Elayne’s and Owain’s unyielding love and belief in him. Without the necessary push from them perhaps his mind would still be an endless black void; it feels as if he finally stepped into the light he had been fighting for.

“ Cyan, my love. I knew you could do it, keep going forward, dear. You have proven to be a capable warrior and loving husband and father.” Elayne’s eyes are hooded. She slid her arms around Cyan’s back. She beamed up at him proud of how far her husband has come.

“ Papa, mama is right, you're a strong warrior, the best dad I could ever ask for.” Owain clasps his father’s gauntlets, smiling brightly, proud to call Cyan a real warrior and a great father.

Cyan swallows a lump in his throat,” Elayne.. Owain.. I’m sorry for not getting there in time. If I had known what Gestahl was up to you would not have drank that poisoned water . Elayne.. my biggest regret was not telling you how much I loved you..”

She blinks up at him then smiles, “ My love, you don’t have to say anything. I know your actions are proof enough of your undying love for Owain and I. Dry those tears, let go of your anguish, the smash realm needs your help. Your moogle friend is waiting for you.” She and Owain push Cyan to the light. “ Now go, Peregrine and the legionnaires are waiting for you. It won’t be polite to keep them waiting, no more dawdling.” She wordlessly pushed Cyan into the overwhelming gate of light. Elayne takes Owain’s hand into her as they start walking into the endless black void. “ See you later, my love.”

“ Goodbye papa,” Owain smiles as he disappears into the sea of quiet darkness with his mother. He made a promise to look after his mother so his father could rest knowing she’s taken care of.

Cyan brushes away his tears with his thumb,” Thank you, Elayne and Owain. Goodbye my darlings,” He mumbles under his breath, staring at the light blue sky, feeling light and airy. He followed after Peregrine and the Dark Nut after sheathing his sword. What an incredible duel. Although the legionnaires are not to be underestimated he could only hope the leaders would grant Peregrine and him permission to keep going on their quest. He certainly felt they’re worth so much respect for them.
