Jordan Wilde

Jordan jerked his body around at the sound of falling items that were soon followed by a louder thud. In this motion, he'd almost dropped Buster who lay on his shoulder, doing this had ignited pain in his right shoulder, Bulldogs were definitely not supposed to be held that way. He grunted, letting out a breath before his eyes could focus on the fallen stranger.

Billy rushed towards the man, wagging his tail frantically, he definitely liked him. All Jordan could do though was stand and watch as the girls helped him up. He took note of the camera too, nodding, He must be a photographer, doesn't seem like paparazzi to me though. He thought.

"Yeah, like she said, you've got to be careful with that." Jordan voiced as he walked to Alyx. "Sorry for not being able to help you up, I've got cargo." Jordan joked as he looked right at Buster who lay on his shoulder. He then glanced at Raven with a smile, though whoever had come with her seemed to stay back and refused to help. At the sound of a picture though, Jordan stepped back leaving space for the two girls to be properly acknowledged. "Time for you to take stage, Yoobin, a book of memories isn't a joke." He teased with a wink. He liked the idea of it though, memories were definitely something of great importance. This Alyx guy really seemed to get the gist of what they were worth.

"We should probably get going. I'd love to stay for more, but we haven't finished our first date yet."

Lexi's heart fluttered at the sound of Ollie telling her that they were on a date. "I hope the date get's better, then that moment we had a few moments ago," Lexi laughed at the thought of what they would do. As much as she wanted to imagine Ollie playing games around the Fair or riding a ride, she couldn't help feeling happy. Slow and steady, she told herself, we will get to more later on in our relationship.

"I saw a place where we can get our palms read or something. Wouldn't that be fun? I could find out how many souls I have and you could find out how many souls you've stolen."

Lexi gave Ollie a look as she tried not to laugh at him thinking her as some enchantress. "Not you too," she told him, "I can't help people find me attractive. I don't steal, I pick the strongest one from the batch." She gave a seductive glance up at Ollie as she was describing him. Smiling at the peck that Ollie gave her, she agreed to go to the psychic with him.

Lexi kept feeling the slight slip of his hands as it went down her waist and back again. Eventually, Lexi placed her hand onto of the one on her waist and guide it down to the once place he keeps moving it to. "If you don't stop moving your hand, I won't be able to control my own hands..." Lexi put her own arm around him as she slipped her hand into his back pocket. Giving him a mischievous look, teasing him a bit.

Ollie would've held Lexi's hand, but he would've been anxious and gotten really sweaty. So he just continued to keep his hand on her side. He chuckled with her as she commented about the date. Thankfully, she was okay with considering it a date. It was a slight gamble to say that to her. Playing games, winning prizes, and just having fun together, all like a normal couple. Deep down, that was all that Ollie wanted. To be normal. He looked down at Lexi in amusement that quickly turned to one of desire as she gave him a sly compliment and a "special" glance. "You finally seem to have found what you're looking for. And I have, too." His gaze returned to their path ahead with a smile. Ollie resisted the urge to look at her once she adjusted his hand, biting his lip and blushing slightly. The only part of his that turned to her were his eyes. When Lexi moved her own hand to his back pocket, Ollie returned her gesture with a little squeeze. "Maybe I don't want you to control your hands." They were approaching the booth with the psychic now. Glad that Lexi had agreed to go with him, Ollie peeked into the booth for a quick second. "There's someone in there right now, we can wait. You mind if I go in by myself? Then you can join me, then I'll go."

"Maybe I don't want you to control your hands."

Lexi jumped a bit at the sudden squeeze he received from Ollie but laughed even more. "Well, then..." she said between laughs, "I guess we would have to see about that, will we." Soon they arrived at the Psychic's tent. Ollie took a peek before they entered but then looked back to her.

"There's someone in there right now, we can wait. You mind if I go in by myself? Then you can join me, then I'll go."

Lexi nodded and gave him a nod, "Sure, I'll wait for you here." She turned away from the tent entrance as she looked around the area. It wasn't as crowded here since it was getting close to lunch time. Glad we did go and get food, that would have been a nightmare. What would the psychic say about her... that she was a mess. That she would ever go back to how things were before she was 13-years-old? I don't know, really...

Raven and Damien Wyntercroft

Offering the man a reassuring, albeit closed-lip smile, Raven absentmindedly fixed her glossy black hair with a flick of a pale hand.

"I'm glad you're alright," she said, "I was a little worried there." Being a creature blessed with feline-like grace, falling over seemed almost unheard of to the deceptively young vampire.

She noticed another, vaguely familiar man, and returned the smile he'd offered to her.

When the photographer mentioned taking a picture of them, Raven could literally feel Damien's disapproval. A chorus of 'no's' swirled through her own thoughts, but she ignored them. Turning, she grinned at her brother mischievously, as though challenging him to stop her.

It was a myth that vampires couldn't be seen in pictures, a myth spread to keep them from being caught. After all, leaving a photographic record of your immorality was bound to arouse some sort of suspicion eventually.

"I'm in!" Raven chirped in response to the other girl, blue eyes wide with excitement. The last time she'd had her picture taken, cameras had only come in sepia.

So the boy really did have more money than he knew what to do with. But with Octavia being who she was, couldn't find it in herself to feel envious. She lived a life free of luxuries, and, to be quite honest she cherished things more that way. She giggled at his words about how not being proposed to would be a miracle. Most guys his age would use their fame in order to get laid, while he doesn't seem to care in the slightest. An interesting one this is indeed.

Overjoyed at his response to stay and help, Octavia went fishing into her monstrous purse once more. She hadn't been expecting this lovely encounter, but the gods would have you swallowing needles if you were to say she wasn't prepared. Pulling out a black cloak with a dark red trim, she walked over and placed it over the boy, the silver clamp in front clicking closed. She mostly needed him there in order to draw more energy. It was easier to read other's future events if she had someone else's energy at her disposal. Not that she would tell him that though. She flipped the hood of the cloak over his head.

Keeping her stance behind him order to hug him gently, she whispered into his ear, "Since you lost your disguise darling. Just keep your hood up and your head low alright?" She removed herself and added as she moved beside him. "In fact, don't focus on seeing at all. You might be surprised how much you can learn about someone by just hearing their voice. Feeling their energy." Taking the stones from the table, she dropped them into his hands. "Your job is to cleanse my energy stones for me between customers. Those stones give me energy, and as I taint them with the negative energy from others, they must be cleansed with positive energy. That's where you come in and roll them within your palms, thinking of happy thoughts as you do. Anything that makes you happy. Don't be getting sad on me again my dear, I'll know and I will have no choice but to stuff that face of yours with sweets until your aura is practically bleeding with joy."

She heard footsteps outside, and she bubbled with excitement. Opening the tent curtain, she found herself gazing upon a lovely couple. Well, as lovely as she could tell for now. "Oh! Welcome!! I'm Octavia the mystic! But feel free to call me Tavi. Please, come in young man." She ushered him inside, offering him a seat beside the now cloaked teen. Sitting across from him, she prompted with an alluring voice, "What favor can I do for you today my dear? What troubles your soul?"

Alyx Nightingale 20170701_003141.jpgAs the two girls responded with joyful agreement, Alyx couldn't help but smile more. "Fantastic! Let me just set these down then." He walked over to the nearest wall and set down his things, taking the camera back with him to the girls. Standing between them, he held the camera out and slightly above the trio facing them. "Say something fun!" As he gave this command to the three of them, he gave a smile, and half yelled, "Fuzzy kittens!"

*click*

The picture had been taken. Turning the camera, he went to his camera roll and viewed the new addition. "Another picture of beauty. I'll be sure to make copies for the two of you." He gave a chuckle that matched his happy demeanor, and then took a few steps back and smiled, "I'm Alyx in case I hadn't mentioned it, and I must say you're both absolutely stunning. Two unique styles that are just equally beautiful. I might be jealous." Finally picking up his things he realized he may not be able to give them copies very easily if they didn't live fairly close. "Oh, I live here whenever you want that picture. It'll take a few days to be ready, so I won't have it to you right away. Do any of you live here as well?"

Graeme Grove 8c2a9ed6b64f2db6210016bbb26ca9d8.jpgSomehow he had managed to dodge the cops at the boardwalk. His relief was short lived however, as the metallic taste of his own blood reminded him that he was running out of time. He couldn't go to a hospital because they wouldn't buy his story, and he couldn't go back to his gang until his heat died down. So he was on his own, possibly needing to break in somewhere to get bandages. "Bloody hell... I seriously need a better lifestyle... gonna off myself by mistake at this rate." He didn't want to bleed all over someone's house though... He was well aware of the difficulties of cleaning blood. Maybe he should start carrying around a medical kit, or make a second hideout where he could lay low.

By the time he looked around again, he was in a run down part of the city. He'd manage to find something to patch himself up here. The only issue was finding some place safe, and someone willing to overlook his... everything. There was no way he'd be able to patch himself up. After searching a few houses he eventually found some bandages and took off for an empty building. He needed to stop be bleeding now, he was getting light headed and his vision was getting fuzzy. Once he found a building that seemed enough of a ruin to be abandoned, he found a spot to sit down and bandage his face. "Bloody hell... just what I needed, anotha' damned scar. When are these greens gonna learn how ta' fight their own bloody fights? I outta' gut em."

Yoobin smiled and posed for the picture, her arm going around the young girl's shoulder and her hand sporting a peace sign. She loved getting pictures taken as a child, and now, getting her picture taken almost every day by onlookers and fans, it became the norm. Of course, she would never turn them down if asked. She wasn't rude. They also just, pretty much, came with the territory now. If you asked, though, she would prefer to be on the opposite end of the camera.

Alyx asked if they lived in the building, to which she smiled again, nodding. "Yeah, I do, actually! My name is Yoobin Oh and I live on the penthouse floor. You'll find my door because it's kinda the only one in Korean. It's pretty hard to miss." She answered with a laugh. She looked over to Jordan, then at her phone screen, scanning it for the time. She didn't realize they were practically burning daylight with every passing second. She glanced over at the raven-haired girl and her guardian, who did not look pleased. He struck her as the type that preferred to be alone. She couldn't imagine what that was like. She was constantly being surrounded by people she didn't know. Not to mention she lived with four other people for the last five years of her life. She didn't think she would change it for the world, though.

She looked at Alyx again. "Thank you so much, Alyx. This was pretty awesome! I'd love to stick around but Jordan and I are carrying some precious cargo with a time limit. I'll see you around, okay? Let me know when you have that picture ready!" She said hurriedly, taking Billy in one hand and Jordan's arm in the other. To the front desk, we go! She thought.

Ian wasn't the best at reading others, but he knew Ellie must be feeling a little shocked, if not uncomfortable by the grand reveal. He only hopes his words were enough to reassure and ease her mind. As she pulled him in for a deep kiss, he allowed himself to relish in the taste of her. Was she trying to steal his lips back? Or rather marking her territory? Parting, he gazed into her eyes a little longer, his breathing slightly unsteady. Her little confession was unneeded, but he found it rather soothing anyways.

Pleased things were going the way he planned, Ellie surprised him by stating not to let Ollie kiss what was hers. Chuckling, he leaned in closer as her cheeks reddened further and she murmured something inaudible. "Hmm?? I couldn't quite hear you, I'm what?" Normally he found possessive girls- like Kira namely- to be rather annoying. But it was cute coming from Ellie. There was so much he still had to learn about her. She was humbly possessive. Havign had his fun of teasing her, he nodded to the rides. "Come on, let's find the scariest rides they have."

"Hmm?? I couldn't quite hear you, I'm what?"

Ellie hid her face behind her hands as Ian leaned forward to her. Her heart was beating too fast as she tried to find her voice again, but it was just so nerve-wracking, to say the least.
"I said, that you're mine..." she said behind her hands, trying so hard to not run away and hid in shame of actions. She was never this needy or possessive, but to her, Ian was a guy that she couldn't read entirely. He was full of surprises and that kept her on her toes, but it didn't help fearing that she was not enough for him. "I'm so embarrassed..." she muttered into her hands.

"Come on, let's find the scariest rides they have."

Ellie looked through her fingers as Ian motioned them to move toward the ride by the pier. She followed close behind him as they maneuvered through the crowd. It was much harder to keep up with him as before when they were holding hands. Worried she would lose him she took hold of his sleeve, feeling safer just knowing he was there. The pier was worse when it came to the crowd, and it didn't help that there were cops around but Ian was a man with a mission as he continued to make his way to the scariest ride that they had.

I wonder what happened, to cause such a crowd. As soon as he stopped, Ellie looked up at the dark green ride named, Steel Venom. It was a boomerang style ride where you go back and forth at high speed off the bat. Ellie wasn't scared of rides since she found them thrilling, and seeing this one it just made her blood pump with excitement. Why didn't I see this one yesterday!

Sam took hold of the stuffed animals as Saren held onto his arm and lead them out of the fairgrounds. He allowed her to guide, as he kept an eye on any suspicious looking guy with a bloody white tee, but his eyes always drifted back down at Saren. Something took over her usual mood, which worried him a bit. Once they made it out of the fairgrounds, it was actually fresh and breathable.

"Sorry...if I ruined our plans..."

Saren's voice caught Sam's attention as he reassured her, "Hey, you didn't ruin anything. A matter a fact, I had a blast. You're at darts." Sam laughed, thinking of his Saturday nights with the guys after work, going to the bar and playing darts. "I should take you to the sports bar I go to the station and show them we are a force to be taken with," he continued to laugh, trying to lighten the mood.

He stopped suddenly, stopping Saren from moving forward. He placed the husky down as he took Saren's hand that was stained in blood earlier. "You know... you can't help everyone," he told her, "Some people don't want to be saved. They rather cause hell before asking for help. Even when they do ask for it, they might not be able to be saved." Sam placed his hand over hers, hiding the stained hand under his, "I know from experience... Every day at work, I experience it. So don't let this stop you. There will be a day that you can help and a day where you can't..."

Putting the stuffed animals under one arm, he continued to hold onto Saren's hand as he continued to guide them back to the complex. When they were a few minutes away from the building, he glanced back at Saren wanting to gauge her current mood, but she was a bit unreadable. He let her be as he returned his attention ahead of them, and continued to trek back home.

Raven and Damien Wyntercroft

Raven wore a glowing smile that barely concealed her fangs, eyes wide with pure excitement. She'd never seen an image of herself in color before, and the idea was positively fascinating

She felt the other girl's arm slide around her shoulder, and hoped dearly that she hadn't noticed a lack of lifelike warmth through the thin black fabric. If she had, it would be bad news for both of them, and she'd have to endure at least one obnoxious 'I-told-you-so' from Damien.

"Fuzzy kittens!" she exclaimed excitedly, trying her best to stand still until she heard the flash go off.

Once he introduced himself, Raven bowed slightly, a habit she'd been carrying around for the last hundred or so years. "Nice to meet you, Alyx," she giggled, looking positively delighted by his compliment. "I'm Raven, and thank you. My twin Damien and I also live here, so it shouldn't be too hard to find you. I simply can't wait to see it!" While she knew she was acting a bit odd, Raven was too delighted to care. Clapping her hands together and bouncing on her toes like a child, she thanked Alyx again before darting back over to her brother.

"That wasn't so bad, right?"

While Damien found her naive recklessness a bit concerning, she was too innocent to reprimand, and so he let it slide with nothing more than a sigh.

-x nicholas "spook" sterling x-

Nicholas blinked, somewhat nervously awaiting a response and watching with curious eyes while the mystic woman fished through her ridiculously oversized purse as though it contained the answer to the universe. From what little he'd seen of her though, it very well could have.

Once she removed the black and red cloak, he stood still and allowed her to put it on over his rather plain outfit. He felt a bit like a cartoon vampire, but wasn't about to complain... at least, not yet.

Spook flinched a little when she hugged him, still unused to being touched by anyone other than a bodyguard, and even then it had only been momentarily as they led the teenage celebrity through a crowd of crazed admirers.

Nodding in response, he stared rather awkwardly at the ground. "Yeah, alright..." Nick mumbled, barely being able to make sense of what Tavi had meant by seeing, feeling or anything else involving so-called magic.

He nearly made a snarky comment when she described his job, but bit his tongue at the last minute.

"Cleanse your energy stones... sure, okay."

Nick didn't believe a word of it, but even if what she claimed was somehow true, she'd made a grave mistake in her choice of assistant. If one was in need of happiness, they'd do well not to ask for help from a depressed emo musician going through a personal crisis.

Normally the sugar-loving teen would've played sad in hopes of getting extra sweets, but he'd long since lost his appetite. Instead, Spook figured he'd play the role she wanted, then go home and forget the entire fiasco had ever occurred.

"My entire career is kind of based off sadness, but I promise I'll keep it away from your stones."

It seemed to take less than a minute for Tavi's first customer to arrive, or, in this case, customers.

Of course. Of course there had to be some sickening, goo-goo couple right there. Of-freakin'-course.

Nicholas practically winced as yet another shard of his heart broke off, and he could've sworn he heard the thing shatter as it fell to the ground.

So much for positivity. Another day, another reminder of the one thing he'd never have.

It didn't help that there was something about the guy that simply rubbed Spook the wrong way. He'd always been good at reading people, and in this case, he did not like what he'd read. Hmm...

Glaring at him from behind both his hood and signature hairstyle, Nick brooded silently in a failed attempt to ignore his newfound disdain.

An uncertain look overcame Ollie as he realized he'd be analyzed by this mysic individual. Luckily, Lexi wouldn't be there as he was broken down and picked apart. He brushed his hair to the side, his hand slipping off of Lexi as Tavi brought him inside. A hesitant smile was tossed her way before he disappeared. "See ya on the other side." Settling into the chair, Ollie took in the atmosphere and the company he had as well. Some random guy was beside him, a cloak hiding his body and face. That itself set off an alarm or two in his mind. Well this is...homely. Glad I have the presence of a cult member to help discover the contents of my spirit. Is it just me, or are you guys getting an overall bad vibe from this dude? Several whispers of agreement weren't exactly reassuring. After all, most of them were just paranoid in general. His gaze settled on Tavi and her outfit that was, well, quite fitting given her occupation. Pretty fitting in a couple other places, eh? Shh. A quick once-over of Tavi and the mystery man and Ollie thought about what to say. Was he supposed to tell her to examine his aura or something? Maybe look into a crystal ball? "Uh. I've never really done this before, so go ahead and gimme the full treatment. Just go easy on me, it's my first time." The joke probably wasn't exactly the best thing to say, but Ollie was pretty anxious. He expected some negative reaction from the person sitting next to him. A look of nervousness and anticipation washed over him, along with a small smile in an attempt to shroud it. People trying to inspect him or find out how he ticked wasn't exactly a comforting thing. Lie. Don't lie. Be vague. Tell her about our schizophrenia. Leave. Man, those are some great tits. Hit on her a little, be sorta flirty. No, this is a professional-ish meeting. Plus there's someone here. And Lexi's right outside. Wait, guys...what if she can read our thoughts or detect us or something?! Tavi seemed nice enough, and she was inviting. But something just didn't sit right with Ollie. That said, did anything ever sit right with him? "Is it too typical to ask for some foresight in the near future?"

Well she would admit it but...yeah it only peaked her interest a tiny bit. She turned to face the pink loli, she gazed at her, eyes half lidded as she listens to what she had to say.
"Hmm? Play around? Like have a loli tea party? Cause I would do that."
Kiku thought for a second, looking away with a look of boredom. She then looked back at the Loli, Kira, letting a tiny bit of interest show on her face.
"I think you mean that in a much different way of play. I can play any way~."

Sam always knew how to turn things from down to up again. Saren smiled slightly at the mention of showing off their dart skills. We would make a good team wouldn't we? He stopped suddenly, and took her hand. Telling her how she couldn't save everyone in the world. She knew that. She knew. But she still wanted to try her hardest. She would have to come to terms with reality when starting the animal shelter/vet. But it was a harsh reality. Looking up at Sam, she soaked in every word. He was right. A cop such as himself would know first hand. Still, she wanted to believe there was someway to save everyone. But it just wasn't possible. "You're right..."

She allowed him to lead them the rest of the way back to Suncrest. Not even caring that he was holding her hand. She was glad. This was she wouldn't have to keep being reminded of the fresh blood that had been there. Recalling the urgency in his voice as he spoke to his work colleagues, Saren found herself focusing on his face intently. He's always smiling and playful. But just then he got so serious...protective. She felt her chest tighten.

Sam had successfully made it to her apartment to drop her off, and a part of her didn't want him to go. Instinctively she wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "Thank you."

It was quiet for most of the ride, but it was a silence that seemed right to have after the last thing that he told her. Sam walked Saren to her door, allowing her to open the door before leaving her. When she opened the door, Sam placed her won stuffed animals inside of the entryway. He gave Saren a smile and was about to say something when Saren spoke up.

"Thank you."

Sam was surprised by the sudden hug that Saren pulled him into. "You're welcome," he said as he hugged her back, "I had a great time today." Sam pulled away from her a bit as he looked into her eyes and continued, "Don't let this get you down. Everything will be okay, you'll see." He finally broke away from Saren and took the stained hand once more. His large hand cover her hand, then let go as he said goodbye to her and headed back to his own apartment.

"Oh yeah, the Hellraiser franchise is weird as hell. But in the best kind of weird, though! Though if you're not a fan of gore, satanism, and demons with pins nailed into their heads, I'd stay away from it!"
That sounded like a movie Pluto did not want to see! But he would probably see it anyway, he bets that Kiku would have all the movies. He would have to ask her.

He had moved close, pluto noticed. And called him handsome. And oh gosh that grin. Pluto found himself smiling along with Marco, although he hadn't meant to do that. 'That grin will send me into stupid town if he keeps it up.'
He let Marco tell his story about how everything suddenly went against him on his way here. Pluto laughed at his story but then he really started laughing when Marco showed him the spot on his pants. He couldn't stop laughing, his cheeks growing pink with every passing second. It was a mix of laughter from the story and being embarresed from seeing Marco's butt. He held the side of his hand up to his lips in a horrible attempt to stop the laughing. It only worked a tiny bit. "That sounds like a terrible string of events in such a short time!" He chuckled, "Sounds kind of like a day I would've had."

Marco grinned as Pluto laughed hysterically from his silly little story, finding himself chuckling about as he too began to laugh along side the blond man. Marco even snorted as he tried to stop laughing to say something before covering his face.

"That sounds like a terrible string of events in such a short time!"

"Dude, that was nothin'," Marco commented as he calmed down, catching his breath as he continued, "I've had my fair share of bad luck."

"Sounds kind of like a day I would've had."

"We'll at lease we've got bad luck in commen!" Marco grinned as he put a hand on Pluto's shoulders, before blushing as he eyes widened in unbelief from what he just did, quickly retracting his arm as his face turned red, "Heheh... yeah..."

Lexi was looking around the fairgrounds around her as she tried to calm her mind of what to ask the psychic. She's been to one when she was a teen but that was not very accurate, which had held her more trouble then she should have been. Well, you learn from your mistakes... she thought as she looked up to the clear sky.

It didn't take long for Ollie to pop back out of the tent as he motioned her to follow him inside. The tent was spacious for the four individuals and the feline that the cloaked individual was holding on. A shiver ran down her spine, from the vibed she was feeling. The last fortune teller she went to was more of a gypsy than... A witch? A Cultist? But she calmed her nerves a bit as she took a seat beside Ollie and faced the woman. Lexi smiled, feeling a bit more welcoming than the hooded individual at the table with them.

"Hello..." she said nervously, "um... I guess we want to see what outcome would come from our relationship... Would is works out, or are we destined to just not be together?" The question came out more solome then she really wanted it to sound, but she couldn't help the feeling of fear that Ollie and her were just not meant to be. Lexi slipped her hand into Ollie's trying to relax her dought and worry about her relationship with Ollie.

Graeme Grove 8c2a9ed6b64f2db6210016bbb26ca9d8.jpgShe was definitely an odd girl. He had to admit though, she was good with medical equipment. She decided to strip for a moment and stared at his shirt, soaked in his own blood saying, "Give me." What kind of girl was she? Hanging around in an abandoned building was one thing, not that he could say much for himself, but wanting a bloody shirt? What was her reason? Whatever her reasons were, he figured he owed her one. "If ya really want these bloody shirts I guess I won't be needing them." As he stood up, he placed the shirt she gave him down and untied his blue hoodie, slightly bloody as well, and stripped from his own shirts. Unlike Amara, who seemed to be a frail person, Graeme was well built. Were it not for his baggy dress style, his muscled body would surely show. On top of that, there were scars all over his torso. There were too many to count, and each seemed to tell a story of their own. He slipped on the shirt Amara had offered him and set his own bloody ones beside the girl.

"The name is Graeme, Graeme Grove." Sitting back down he placed his elbows on his knees and leaned forward slightly, facing Amara. "How 'bout you lass? Got a name?" Most people may have thanked her and left, but Graeme had been shot at, stabbed, tortured, and beaten to a pulp in his previous line of work. Not only that, but this girl didn't pose any threat, and he was in enough trouble already that he could care less so long as she didn't plan to turn him in. "What brings ya to this kind o' place? Not that ye have ta' answer me if ya don't want to." Unlike before when he was bloody and slowly dying, his voice was less abrasive, less aggressive. It could even have been considered a kind yet curious tone, but that would be a stretch.

    Amara.jpg
The girl watched him intently still, as he stripped out of his stained clothing. Though most would have been distracted by his ripped body, her main focus would be on her bloody prize. However, it was impossible not to notice the scars that painted the man's body. Amara's eyes widened in awe. Call it fascination, or obsession if you will, but scars were the equivalent of art worth millions to the girl. Before she could react to the sight, the man had fitted her baggy shirt over himself. Though baggy on herself, it fit him quite nicely. Was her body frame really that cadaverous? Compared to him, perhaps so. A small woman in a "creepy" building by herself probably wasn't helping her case much. Not that she cared.

Simply taking the shirt into her own hands, she set the fabric on her lap, trailing her finger tip over the blood stains, her heart racing faster by the second. So engrossed by the blood, the man's name almost slipped by her ears. Graeme...She rolled over the name mentally, deciding whether or not to favor it. As he turned his attention towards her, Amara refrained from returning the gaze; instead continuing to hover her eyes over the bloody shirt in her possession.

Her name? That was new. Not that she hadn't ever been asked before; but it certainly wasn't a common occurrence. Finally pulling her gaze up, yet not fully enough to meet his, she spoke softly, "Amara." She had a feeling he would forget her after today. Maybe it was her depression skewing her thoughts. Although he asked her what her intentions were coming to a place such as this, Amara wouldn't be gracing him with a detailed answer. "It's beautiful." Would have to suffice. Even as she said this, her unenthusiastic tone didn't quite match up to the significance of the word. Reaching out, she pointed to Graeme's chest. "Your....beautiful scars...." Her words were spaced out, as if it took too much effort to say them. Her eyes were expectant now as she waited for him to dive into story mode or permit her another glimpse of the scars.

It seemed he'd only been holding the stones for a minute before Tavi snatched them away. Nick couldn't blame her, really... how was he supposed to be happy when there was a couple being all lovey-dovey right in front of his face?

Yeah, not gonna happen.

The lavender-haired woman whispered something to herself, and Spook wondered just how crazy she really was. Then again, she seemed practically mundane next to the strange man that had entered the tent. Something about that guy just made Nick shudder, and he intended to stay away.

He grimaced at the not-so-subtle looks and innuendos, rolling his eyes under the shadowy concealment of the hooded cloak.

"Classy," Spook mock-whispered, giving them both a dirty look.

He was only half-listening to the generic fortune-telling spiel, but he noticed by the way Tavi hesitated that she was a bit creeped out as well. Can't blame her.

Nicholas flinched when the light suddenly went out, though he was sure it was a part of the show. Decently theatrical, all things considered, he thought coolly.

Feeling both depressed and bored, he tuned out most of what was being said and simply stared off into space. The teen only refocused when she handed him a box of some sort, taking it and looking at the mess of colorful strings within.

Spook listened and figured out what he had to do, which only required minimal effort. With a rather apathetic sigh, he reached into the box and felt around, not caring what color he ended up pulling out.

Tavi mentioned the man's name, Oliver. Same as one of my favorite musicians, Nick thought, though thankfully for him that's the only similarity, because this guy is definitely crazy.

Sliding his hand from the box, there was a green string pinched between black-polished fingertips.

"Here," he said flatly, handing it to Tavi.

His golden eyes widened, however, when they caught sight of a black cat. Nicholas had always adored the animals, and this one was handsome and had an air of dignity about it.

"Of course... cats are my favorite animal. Much better than people, in my opinion."

His mood brightening a bit from the feline's presence, Nick noted how beautiful the animal's eyes were... he'd never seen a cat quite like this one before. Pulling off his hood so he could take a better look, the young celebrity
was too delighted to care about his identity being exposed.

With a meow, the cat jumped onto his lap. Nick paused for a moment, giving the animal a chance to adjust before he attempted interaction. When it pawed at his chest, he gently ran a hand down the sleek fur of its back and offered a knowing look.

"You're a dignified creature, aren't you? Don't worry, I'm not going to fluff up your fur or talk down to you like a baby."

Graeme Grove Graeme Grove.jpgSo the girl's name was Amara, and she didn't really seem to care why he was bloody and beaten. In fact, she seemed to be entranced by the scars he'd collected throughout the years. "Yeah? I've been through hell and back if ye know what I mean... Done all kinds o' work in all ma years, not that I'm even thirty yet..." Graeme chuckled, "This un though... it's ma lucky scar, wouldn't be round if this was an inch or two south." He pulled down the collar of the shirt to reveal a circular scar just barely beneath his left collarbone. "Sometimes I look back on that day and wonder just how I didn't bleed ta death." He let go of the shirt, allowing it to return to place, and took a deep breath. "I was in Russia at tha time..."
Graeme's Russian Tale

"I wanna say it was December, not that it woulda mattered since tha whole bloody country is a frozen waste. Anyway, I was working a job for some Russian politician. It payed good, and I was haven a tough time so I had to accept. The whole time I was workin for tha man, I was bein shot at, stabbed, or maimed in some sort." Graeme lifted his shirt and pointed to a few scars, one at a time, "A Russian merc came at me with a six inch knife, unfortunate bastard he was... 'bout gutted him with his own knife. Anotha feller o' mine killed him first." The next scar looked to be from an animal. "Not too long afterwards, some nark callin himself a hound master sicked his mutts on me. They weren't trained well, only tha one got me and lived, his master didn't." The third was another scar similar to the first, but much longer. "Now this one was a fun fight, turns out someone hired a foreign assassin ta kill me since I was the one lad in the way of tha politician's death. He was a tough nut ta crack, but a lucky and very stupid move sent him over a cliff." He finally got back to his original story, "Anyway, ma luck sure shined with tha last scar I got while in Russia. A mafia group decided to siege the politician's vacation home. While I was beating two of them to bloody pulps, a sniper took a shot at me." Graeme faked a wince, remembering the pain he felt. "Son of a bitch knicked me good, I 'bout killed myself working myself until tha bastard was dead, but seein I'm still here, I consider it ma lucky scar fo that reason. One hell of a bloody mess too, I was bleeding for weeks cause I wouldn't let it heal." Graeme laughed, "I've made sure never to return to Russia since then, I'd rather not have a repeat."
