Active [Stonewall Town] (Caelia Barony) Reveal Thy Innards!

This RP is part of the Isekai Hell setting. It is currently not open to be joined.

What to expect out of character:
The RP will keep a lenient pace of anywhere between daily and a maximum of weekly, depending on what's possible The RP isn't meant to last (much) longer than a month. It'll be a chill slice of life with the focus of 'Blacksmithing' on Teuihua.

What to expect in character:
Having found odd crystals at the Magic Tower and the Interdimensional Apple tree that seemed to somehow react to Teuihua, Regula and him decide that trying to 'reveal his innards' in order to see if they notice anything that might explain some things is worthwhile. A certain barony knight ends up learning of it and wishes to join in. Alister offers to assist.

When joining, please let me know the following things in your first post:
1 ) Any specific achievements/goals your character would have within the overall goal of the RP, such as trying to increase standing with a certain faction or obtaining a certain item/asset. So long as it doesn't diverge too much, I'll see what I can do to include it.
2 ) Any point boosters the character might have. (Attentive Student, Mentor, Devour, Narrative Booster, etc.).
3 ) Any [Wanted] or criminal titles your character might have. (Note, some city or guild-related settings will make entry for criminals considerably more difficult and would need discussion pre-joining.)
4 ) Any Buddy Skills, Masterwork Skills or Complex Assets your character might have.

Tag and character goal:
Elvario Elvario Regula Caelia – Reveal Teuihua's innards.
TheTimePiece TheTimePiece Teuihua – Get his innards revealed.
Megilagor Megilagor Alister Marrok – Assist the Baroness.

Regula sighed deeply. The recent drama in Sootspire was still weighing her down. The fact the mysterious tower and apple tree hadn't been 'resolved' fully, especially regarding those odd crystals, didn't help either. All in all, she was feeling rather down. That said, perhaps they would at least learn something.

“Are you sure about this?” She'd ask Teuihua, as they were at her forge. Trying to 'open up' one of her closest friends was a very, very weird idea. Yet it might give them a clue as to what had happened with those crystals and if they should expect more, seeing how they'd reacted to him previously.

Alister had been allowed to join in, though he'd have noticed the baroness was horrible at taking care of herself when under stress, seeing how she'd had very little sleep and her eating habits were down to only the the utmost necessary ever since what had occurred at Sootspire.

Finally, someone else had arrived.

“Is it trueth? Wilt thou revealeth thy innards!?!” She came running into the forge, asking Teuihua. Only afterwards recalling procedure. “Baroness, thou areth greeteth!” She'd say, saluting.

Teuihua felt pretty ready to let Regula open him up. They already had prior conversations where she suggested doing possible work on him for the purposes of upgrades and he wasn't particularly opposed to the idea, particularly now that he had gotten much closer to her subsequently.

And if not solely for the purpose of upgrading, there might be something new to learn from opening him up, particularly pertaining to the crystals which were seemingly from his time that kept appearing places, that and the other oddities around Sootspire which appeared from time to time.

The whole thing made Teuihua wonder if Sootspire didn't used to have something more prolifically Mictlantecuhtlian related on the very same ground possibly thousands of years ago, as that might explain why such oddities were present at least to an extent. It wasn't unreasonable to Teuihua that it was possible even if he hadn't seen much evidence beyond what they'd seen so far.

When Regula asked him if he was sure, Teuihua nodded.

"Regula Caelia, now that my original creators are probably long gone in their lives, you are most certainly the remaining person alive who I am most comfortable doing this sort of work on me. I trust not only your abilities, but you as a person on a sincere and deep level."

"In addition I recall we discussed the possibility of some work being done prior and I was open to the notion, nevertheless I do appreciate you asking me again to make sure I am still comfortable with the idea."

By the time Ethel came in, Teuihua gave her a friendly wave.

"It would appear so, if the Baroness is fine with you being here while she works, I personally have no objections to you seeing my "innards' as you put it, Ethel." Teuihua responded in a fairly warm tone.

"I just hope that they live up to your expectations." Teuihua added light heartedly, given how it had been a topic which Ethel had brought up frequently for a period of time when it came to him, in wanting to see his innards.

“That is a high level of trust you put in me, I appreciate it.” She'd genuinely thank Teuihua. “The feeling is also mutual, so I hope I can do this well.” She'd rather not betray his trust. “Naturally.” She'd reply to the idea she'd ask for reconfirmation.

As for Ethel. “You're welcome, but don't get in the way. Keep your distance, as this might get complicated otherwise.” She'd warn the knight.

To that extend, she wondered how to even start. “I'm afraid my work-bench is far too small, so if you'd just lie down besides it?” She'd ask. Operating on him whilst he was standing would be a sure no-go with his size. Putting him next to her work-bench was the next-best thing. On that note, she started putting some tools on it to have them on-hand. “I don't assume you know how to actually open up, so to say? I don't see any obvious screws, bolts or latches. Either they're hidden or it's some mechanism I've yet to find out. Or, well, worst case, I'd have to break through and reforge you, which I'd honestly not like having to do.”

Teuihua gave Regula a nod. "It makes me happy to hear you say that." He responded with a warm tone, when she mentioned the feeling was mutual. " And I am certain you are more than capable."

He would have smiled if he were capable of it, when she mentioned that Ethel could stay.

"Oh of course." Teuihua then promptly, as gently as he could got down so that he was prone, trying not to damage the floor with his shifting weight and material pressing up against it, balancing his form to the best of his ability while he did so.

When she asked if Teuihua knew how to open up, his mind just sort of..wandered back as he went into thought..it had been a very long time after all, he hadn't seen his original creators in many years who had worked on him, even after being operational for many years so it was..doubly many years since he had been worked on at all as far as he knew, lest someone did it when he was in stasis and he didn't know.

What he did recall when he thought back to the distant bit of data, was that they definitely said something in Mictlantecuhtlian before they worked on him like that. "If..I recall, they readied their tools at my front and said.. +Creator of those of metal, stone, and wood, may you guide us in our work so that through our work may we respect you and carry on your wishes.+"

"What I also seem to remember is that those words were said to only work if the person doing them was a skillful enough Mictlantecuhtlian crafts person who was in good enough favor with the Mictlantecuhtlian divine being of constructs."

"We've had stranger things happen between Ringo and other incidents, so perhaps it is worth trying to say the words."
Teuihua figured it was better than trying to open him up manually and then have to reforge him if it could be avoided.

Teuihua let out a bit of what could be interpreted as a chuckle at Ethel's dialogue.

"I certainly hope that is not the case Ethel, that would be rather unfortunate to find out now, but I suppose if I'm opened up and some monsterous spirits come out It'll be excellent that you'll be here to vanquish them."

"What I also wanted to say was, how have you been? It has been awhile since we last spoke much."

Alister knew Lady Regula Caelia had an appointment with her dear friend Teuihua, and he knew that the baroness was horrible about the topic of taking care of herself when under stress. The little amount of sleep and extremely poor eating habits in the lady activated Alister's almost non-existent parental instincts. Knowing that and the fact that the quest was over Alister went to make some chamomile and mint tea along with some simple sweets with nuts and honey, to supplement some of the nutrients that that his lady probably missed under the pressure of stress.

After making the two things teapot, a plate of cookies, and a few teacups on a metal carrier plate, and began his move from the kitchens down to the room where Lady Regula Caelia and her quest Teihua were supposed to be, upon reaching the door he knocked a few times on the door before opening it. "I am sorry milady Caelia, Sir Teuihua, and to you Ethel for being a bit late. I thought some tea and biscuits would be a nice compliment to the meeting even if it is to be enjoyed after the procedure, or during it."

Having said that Alister moved to a nearby table and placed the carrier plate onto it, of course, he first made sure the table didn't hold any tools that might be needed and that it wouldn't be in the way of the procedure. "I hope me being here isn't concerning to you Teuihua. My curiosity did get the better of me. After all even where I lived constructs were extremely rare, even more so if they weren't the silver knights."

Alister took one teacup and poured the fresh tea inside of it, before walking up and giving it to Ethel, while asking. "But if I may ask what was that talk about foul evil monsters inside of you Teihua, since if that is the case. Then you might have some connections with the silver knights I know, though they were giant armors made of steel and silver with runes, machinery, and mangled corpses of angels inside, magically bound together into one being and programmed to protect areas or people."

Regula resisted a 'way to put up the pressure' commend when Teuihua told her she was more than capable. She'd only hope he was right.

“Right... Let's see if I'm [Chosen] enough for that to work.” She'd nod, as she'd ready her tools and repeated the phrase. “+Creator of those of metal, stone, and wood, may you guide us in our work so that through our work may we respect you and carry on your wishes.+”

She was surprised by Alister's arrival. “Ah, come on in.” She'd look at the tea. The scent was pretty tantalising. As was his tail. Yet she had a task to do at the moment. “Worst case, we can reheat the tea near the forge. I think. For now, I fear I'll have to focus.” She'd state, as she waited to see what was going to happen, hoping she was actually 'allowed' to open op Teuihua the easy way.

“Silver knights?” She asked, a tad curious.

“I shalth taketh careth of thy innereth demons!” She'd proclaim, upon Teuihua's claim. As for what she did, it wasn't too much. “I have travelleth into the See-eth and worketh in a gardeneth to helpeth Ryaneth. I hath also duelleth the Foxeth of Iceth in honourable battle and I hath traineth gruesometh.” She explained her busy, busy schedule. “And whath hath thee doneth? If not for they innereth demoneth, why areth thou openeth?”

Ethel would turn to Alister, also confused. “I knoweth of neight silvereth knighteth. I hath learneth that thee Construteth areth buildeth with thee spiriteth from the Faeeth! Mangeleth corpseth of angeleth? Like oureth baronesseth?” She'd ask, a tad shocked.

“Valkyrie, Ethel.” She'd correct the knight.

“Areth thou sureth they wouldst puteth Valkyrieth in thee machineth in Rotiath against the wintereth monstereth?” She asked, seemingly somehow combinging 2+2 and coming to 345 as the answer.

"It's quite alright with me that you've come Alister, I appreciate the work you've been doing, and the care which you are showing for Lady Caelia and those who are attending this..would event be the proper term?"

"Truthfully I'm pleased you could join us today."

"Silver knights you say? That's certainly a term, one..which I do not disapprove of for constructs if it were to describe them properly."
In some ways some constructs were like 'silver knights' particularly if they were combat orientated ones.

"Ethel here seems to think there is a possibility of some opposing force which is not working for the side of good which may be within me, I cannot confirm or deny such a claim, but I would find it most unusual if it were true as my original creators did not strike me as the sorts who would do something like that, and I doubt it would appease the divine one to which they were followers of to create a construct in such a way."

"Those Silver knights you speak of..are most curious with the description you've given me. Runes I am familiar with, the term machinery I have come to understand better though what is this 'angel' you speak of?"
Teuhiua asked, not really familiar with the term in common, and he couldn't really think of an equivalent in Mictlantecuhtlian or Analog.

"Is that right Ethel? Sounds like you've been up to quite a few activities then. Perhaps your dueling and training will have kept your skills well-honed for should we need them soon."

"Pleased to hear you've been able to travel and help people out some along the way."

To answer Ethel's question as to why he was being opened up, he responded,

"Lady Caelia is taking a look inside of me to see if there is any information to how I function and if improvements can be made, There may also be additional information pertaining to some of the curious Mictlantecuhtlian objects that we've encountered from time to time around the barony. we discussed it quite some time ago and she now has time where she's capable of doing so."

As for what he's been doing he'd respond, "I've been assisting Lady Caelia around the barony, with some of the aforementioned strange occurrences like the apples which I'm sure you recall, I also assisted Gunhild on a second expedition to that Island, It's a shame what's transpiring there as a result..all the fighting, If I had known that was the consequence I may have been less likely to go.. I do hope that peace can be restored to the region soon enough.." Referencing the fight the island was pretty much a free for all zone at the moment where crimes couldn't be committed and with Kuridan and West Empire people fighting for control over parts of it, as well as having to contend with the natives there.

When Regula said the words, Teuihua's torso began to glow an arcane blue sparkley hue, and it almost looked like Regula had a halo above her head momentarily, perhaps only further adding fire to Ethel saying she seemed angel like.

Suddenly a large circular space began to open up in said torso, revealing what looked like a sizable open space which had the same sort of energy which sometimes appeared to be coming out of the spaces between where Teuihua's limbs met his body, the energy likely feeling warm, there was also toward the center of him a bright blue core which was almost white in the center with something that sort of looked like a purplish hue crystal floating within it which was illuminated, there was a metal casted holder in Teuihua staying in a sort of stasis toward his center with five or so slots which looked like they had the diameter to fit something relatively the same size as the purplish crystal floating around his center 'Orb'.

"Ah, It would appear you were [Chosen] enough for it, this is quite familiar, Does everything look okay?" He'd ask matter of fact, sounding warm and complimentary when he told Regula she was [Chosen] enough.

"Thank you Teuihua, and yes I think an event is... a fitting term for this happenstance."
Alister nodded and affirmed Teuihua's choice of wording, albeit Alister himself wasn't so sure about the correct use of words as he was still getting used to speaking normally, the epochs spent talking in Ancient Hermese, and with a manner of speech similar to Ethel's, it was hard getting used to speaking like a 'regular being' of this world.
"Aye Silver Knights my lady, that's what we called them, though if we would like to be precise it would be Silver Knights of the Twilight Giant Pathway. Not exactly nice fellows, those that somehow retain a part of their humanity are mad beyond the breaking port of a normal man." Alister confirmed the name of them to Lady Caelia, feeling a tad of curiosity in her voice he explained the term a bit more as to satisfy the curiosity of his new lordship.

"Oh no no, the angel part isn't literal. Not many angels even had wings though my previous lord and the person due to whose actions I lost my previous lord and was thrown this way did have wings. But yes they would put mangled corpses or barely living angels into them. Also, where is Rotiath... I am not from here as milady might know, so hearing of some place that might have something similar to my home... time. place. world... I don't know honestly so I will call it home." Alistair responded to Ethel's words, by the Fool and Medici, he didn't mean it that way, sure his new lord had wings but that didn't make them an angel... At least not by the standards of the world Alistair used to inhabit, the standards of his world were twisted and an utter dark parody of this world's standards, after all there was no way a spawn of an outer god could be spawned of a lunatic woman's womb and destroy the world. If Alister had a dollar for each time it nearly happened he would have two dollars which isn't much but it's weird that it nearly happened twice.

It took Alister a fair bit to think about how to share this information correctly with the few gathered in this room without overwhelming them with information from his many years of life, feeling partially parched he went to the teapot and poured himself a cup and drank it slowly before setting the cup back down and resting his lower back on the high table next to the things he brought with him here. Alister took a deep breath in, slowly let it out, and began speaking once the chitter chatter between Teuihua and Ethel has ended. It wasn't an easy talk at all, he had to omit so much information and yet it was such a long talk out of it...
"How to explain it to not overwhelm your minds with several epochs worth of information... Back where I'm from one if willing to risk their mind, sanity and utterly life, could potentially become a god. The method itself started with the ancient blasphemy slates which after transcribing allowed children of Sanquine, Human, and other races to slowly grow in power and potentially ascend to godhood and beyond. To keep it simple I will omit most information for now, but each pathway devised from the slate contained 10 sequences of potions one should make, drink, and digest to gain power of said sequence. Though once you choose a pathway you are stuck with that specific pathway till the end. Those who ingested such a potion are called Beyonders, those from the 9th to 7th sequence are the Early Birds, the madness is easy to contain, and potions are relatively easy to digest, those from 6th to 4th are often called those who peak the veil, as they can feel the stares of gods upon them. Then we come to the high sequence people, at the 3rd sequence we have so-called Saints, then we have Angels at the 2nd sequence, and finally at 1st sequence we have Demigods. And lastly 0th sequence God. Those at the saint level can live for a long long time, most live past 500 years, those at the Angel level no longer age, don't need to eat, drink, or even sleep, but they still can be killed." Alistair explained slowly and calmly so as to not startle anyone with the information he was giving them, after all, such a world was alien to this world. Though some minds could gobble up this information like a sponge did to water, his friend Klein was such a person. Though he could be called more of an anomaly than nothing else, learning everything about his world and ascending to godhood in just two years is something unprecedented.
"So when I refer to angels I mean those who were but 2 steps away from becoming gods... I myself was a Saint of my lord and lived for several epochs. You could say I'm reliving my youth and powerlessness from my younger years here. Though having a soul as old as five thousand years, in a body that doesn't look like it's barely in its mid-20s brings some thoughts to mind."
Alister sighed as he finished speaking, grabbed a biscuit down his canine mouth giving himself an excuse for him not explaining it more, as well as giving ample time for his Ladyship to answer to Teuihua's question after he opened up to her.

The tales told by Allister were rather... odd. “That sounds like the worst possible version of history, compared to how it currently is in Rotia.” She'd think it through. “Rotia is a kingdom in the north-west of the continent. It is regularly attacked by monsters from the first continent, whenever the sea freezes over in winter. To defend against them, the Grand Duchy supplies the kingdom of Rotia with Mecha's. Giant battle-suits that use people to pilot them, rather than mangled corpses or barely living angels. That's about all I know.” As for the home bit, she'd give a reassuring smile. “No worries, like many before you in similar situations, I'm sure you'll be able to call the Barony your home soon enough. We'll try are best to help make it so.”

His explanation was pretty odd, though some things were somewhat familiar. “Hmmm... It's possible to ascent the need to eat and drink, as well as to stop ageing, as far as I'm aware. It's not common, but the methods for it wouldn't be as dangerous sounding as what you mentioned.” The last bit was the more odd one. “That's something indeed. Some might say I'm older than I look, but in your case, that certainly takes it to the extremes.”

That said, there was a job right in front of her. How would she even decide of 'Okay' was okay? “I'm glad I'm [Chosen] enough, but... I must admit most of this seems unfamiliar to me.” The whole blue glowing sparks and all seemed almost like an enchantment going haywire. Was this the 'heart' of Teuihua?

“There's some sort of bright blue core, nearly white in the centre, with like a... pink, no, purple-ish crystal floating within? Then it seems there's these weird opening-like things that seem like they'd fit something the same size of the floating crystal...?” She couldn't make the most sense of it, until she'd notice something.

She'd take a closer look, then grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. “Wait... If these are... Assuming...” She was scribbling down a lot, translating things in her head from Mictlantecuhtlian to Common and then drawing how modern-day ruins would make them look, then comparing them to Mictlantecuhtlian. “Yeah, these are enchantments, I think. Not the type we're used too though. Or perhaps they are more like instructions..? I think I can make out something about 'control', but not as a way to take it, but to enforce it..? Maybe? I'm not fully sure. Have you ever been in charge of commanding something or something, or controlling something?”

She shook her head at Alister. “Though angels areth demoneth!” She proclaimed. “Thou saints areth sinners. Areth thou a sinner?” She asked him. “And shalsth thee allowth me to take thine foodeth?” She'd ask, after spotting the plate of cookies. The logical follow-up.

That said, she got distracted by the light show that was Teuihua's innards. “Thou insides illuminateth me and mine in brighesth lighteth. Hath tho swalloweth the eseenceth of lighteth?” She'd state, forcing herself not to get closer to it like a moth being drawn to a flame.

Teuihua listened politely to what Alister had to say. "Ingesting and going through trials as a result sounds like a most curious way to go about becoming a god, in Mictlantecuhtlia, we have tales of legendary figures who became gods themselves by doing the extraordinary and ascending as a result, I suppose it isn't all that different in concept, undergoing hardship and undergoing something great, of course for these individuals they did not have set goals to ascend in power, but it happened through the grace of those above perhaps as a reward of sorts.."

"Killed hm?..The only way to 'kill' a god I had heard of was to defeat their avatar, I am uncertain if their source or permanence of being could be permanently 'killed."
Regardless the Angel bit sounded pretty rough, and like there were dangerous beings from Alister's world overall. With no real explaination Teuihua was still struggling with the base concept of what an angel was supposed to be to begin with, but he understood well enough that they sounded like not very nice winged beings from Alister's world.

"With no intention on being rude on my behalf, Alister, If you are 5000 years old that might possibly make you older or closer to my age than most, and frankly, being in Ryke I do not believe I've met many older than myself, as I am not entirely sure how many years have gone by since my civilization existed and I Went into stasis, but in that regard coming from a different time and place..I find that strangely relatable..perhaps minus the 'living' those years in full part, as I wasn't very conscious for quite some time."

"I have felt my power returning chronologically, and it has been a most interesting experience, perhaps something similar will be true for you, even so I commend you for powering onwards."

Teuihua also diligently listened to what Regula had to say regarding his innards.

"I see, that is understandable, I can't imagine there are many constructs like myself out and about."

"Well the color of the soul crystal sounds correct. and if is circling as you say then it is functioning at full capacity."
Teuihua was able to gather based on what Regula said alone there.

"The hue of the core..hm you said bright blue? I believe there should be a darker blue band closer to the white center which you are not describing there, that would suggest to me there is an imbalance."

Teuihua was actually somewhat surprised to hear the next part, "And you say those slots are empty? My, someone must have opened me up when I was in stasis and had a look through for what looked valuable, from what my creators seemed to indicate most of those slots are not supposed to be empty, how many slots do you see?" Teuihua would ask the logical follow up.

"Truthfully I only know these things because my creators were nice enough to show me a diagram of myself, including within."

Teuihua was in thought as Regula went to writing and asking him about if he had controlled anything in the past, it took some time thinking but Teuihua had a Eureka moment.

"Now that you mention it, I do recall something, if albeit hazy, during times of conflict I was capable of leading swaths of sizable but smaller constructs than myself to help defend Mictlantecuhtlia and maintain order, while they weren't really conversationalists as much as I am, they were ever loyal and suitable for the tasks given to them."

"Where they have gone off too or how or if I brought them into being when they were needed is less clear..but I do remember that much."

At the next point Regula looked up at Teuihua's innards she'd see an ever familiar orangey transparent text in the Mictlantecuhtlian language appear.

"+Did you enjoy your gifts Baroness?+"

"+Perhaps you'll soon live up to your [Mictlantecuhtlian Chosen] status yet+"

"+Make more use of the ones that have yet to come.+" It looked very similar to the style of message she had gotten with the tailed ones when they were bound to her.

Teuihua of course was unaware of the new text that was appearing.

"Hm..I'm actually not certain if they used a light elemental in my creation Ethel, what I do know is that there is a great deal of arcane energy which is being repurposed into a generator cycle of sorts to help keep me active. The vibrancy of the soul might also be in part of what you are seeing. I do hope that after all the build up it's of some interest to you at the very least, It would be most unfortunate if it wasn't."

Alister listened to Regula's words, knowledge is half the battle after all, and knowing the lands upon which you shall spend your years is something anyone should know, but he did crack a little smile when Regula confirmed he could call the Barony his home, a home is the first most anchor for any Beyonder, his place of solace from the madness of the world.
"As I said, my world was different, yet slightly similar to this one. Though it's nice having a place to call home." Alister replied after sighing a bit out of nostalgia.

"Yes, there was an inherited risk of ascending to power in my world. Though knowing the pathways were devised from blasphemy plates, a piece of stone made from a rock foreign to our realm, gotten after the gods of old barely managed to kill a few outer gods, as they slayed but six of them. The outer gods themselves would bring madness to those who perceive them with any of their senses. So ways to ascend devised from things gotten from their bodies carried a similar risk to them. But at the same time more power in a faster way than the old ways, after all since the ancient sun god no more gods ascended via the old method, sure it was safer but it required materials nearly impossible to get, and copious amounts of time, at least fifty years per sequence." Alister added to his previous explanation, feeling a sense of dread the moment he spoke about the outer gods, whatever it was shellshock from his life before, or the outer god's influence reached even here he dared not know, since even that knowledge could lead him to slip into madness.

Taking a small break to calm himself, and partake in one of his own cookies, to try and get his mind out of that zone of thinking, was somewhat successful, but he had to continue. Even if only to get the heavy feeling of his shoulders. Thankfully Teuihua exclaimed that he heard of a similar concept in his times, though he did not know the rituals from other pathways so he shared the ritual he had to complete to ascend to his previously held title of a Sea King Saint of the Tyrant Pathway.
"The ritual for the third sequence of the Tyrant pathway which I was a part of named Sea King, required me to command over a thousand men through fear and respect, as well as kill with nothing but my bare hands and a trident a sea serpent during a storm with those thousand men as witness. It wasn't a nice night that I can say for sure especially since I wasn't able to use any of the powers I gained from the previous sequences upon starting the ritual."
As he exclaimed those words Alister placed one of his arms onto his left side and held it tightly as if to signal that he lost part of himself during that ritual, in fact Alister did lose something, half of the left side of his torso, thankfully whatever force Amon conspired with to throw Alister here restored his body to the state he was in in his younger days. However, when Teuihua mentioned god killing he had to explain how it was in his world, maybe to compare differences and see similarities, or just to continue talking.
"Gods were simple to kill where I am from, albeit nearly impossible to pull off. One simply needed to be a god, for only a god could wound a god, so depending on a god sometimes multiple other gods would need to strike him down to kill him. The Ancient Sun God of my world was struck down by the eight orthodox gods of the modern time of my world, they killed him because he was too compassionate to the mortals, and the mortals grew too dependent on him to survive, which could lead to their nihilistic end of existence."

At the mention of Alister's age and how he could be older than Teuihua, Alister cracked a smile on his face and laughed a bit, before abruptly stopping, and commenting on that statement.
"Teuihua being old doesn't mean I remember it all. Sure, I have a good memory but even to me most of my life slipped through my fingers, I don't even remember the faces and names of my family members though I still remember I had them. Such a long life while being conscious can sometimes be a hell on earth, so I might be slightly jealous of you and being in stasis for most of those years. By the time I realized what I was giving up in pursuit of power and longevity I already lost my family, and part of my humanity in me. Do I regret it? Maybe a little, I should have spent more time with my family while they still lived before pursuing the power and longevity as I did. At least then I would have some memories of them to this day."
Alister tried to appear strong at this moment, but remembering what little shards of memory remained in him of his family, his loved ones, and friends before he became a Beyonder was frightening to him, to him he felt as if he was losing himself by just existing, thankfully here he can start anew, build new memories to replace the old ones. But this time not rush his return to power, instead willing to take it more slowly.
"Technically I'm a paradox, sure my soul and mind are old, but my body is in the state it was before I began my journey into power, as well as I can't feel even a shred of my old powers inside of me. So I won't be able to recover it over time, but I did find most of the ingredients I would need to make the ninth sequence potions for both the Justicarian and the Black Emperor pathways I just miss the two key ingredients to both of them, so depending on which one I manage to find that's the way I will go this time. Though even then which one I dive in will depend on what Lady Regula wishes."

When Teuihua opened up to reveal a bright light inside of him, Alister took a few steps towards him to take a look at the source of light, though he still did leave quite some space for Regula to work with Teuihua unbothered, a bonus of being tall.
"Looks alien to me, the only similar thing I saw in my long life was a soul bead from a Leviathan, but those were more impure and devoured light rather than produced it. So I am sadly useless in this case."

Having heard Ethel claim angels were some 'demon', a word he did not know he would need to hear an explanation for before he confirmed or denied her words. For exclaiming things when not knowing what was said isn't the correct way to do so.
"What's a demon? No, I am asking seriously, I might be old as time in a joking manner, but I never heard of the term Demon."
Though he knew the definition of Sinner, another word that he barely knew, in his world it was a word rarely used, exclusive to only those who dabbled in similar actions to those of the Abyss or Chained pathways, whether they were Beyonders or not.
"Being a saint in my world didn't mean being pure of soul, those who truly were pure of soul and heart were often targets by those practicing the Abyss or Chained pathways, they deal with souls, undead, and similar, if I remember correctly an Abyss of the 5th sequence requires a soul of a pure of heart person to corrupt and devour, the Chained instead requires about a dozen bodies of people pure of soul and heart as well as younger than sixteen years of age to devour to proceed. Those are sinners. Sinners that I hunted down whenever I could, even my lord hated them, though he was an angel of war and was extremely brutal to his enemies, but that was only during war and towards enemies, not innocents."

Alister nodded, and gestured to the sweets and tea, with a small bow, before replying to Ethel's request.
"Hmm. Sure partake in the tea and sweets Ethel they are here for a reason, after all, just leave some for the others. I only made one more batch, though it needs to cool off in the kitchen."

“Me neither.” She replied to Teuihua, deciding to keep the talk between Alister and Teuihua in the background of her mind, as she'd rather focus on not accidentally ruining Teuihua's insides. “That is good to hear.” She'd reply to the soul crystal bit. “Yeah, a bright blue hue.” She'd confirm.

“A darker blue band...” She'd repeat double checking. “I don't think I see it? Unless the purplish hue from the floating crystal is making it less visible.” She wasn't fully sure. “The slots are definitely empty though.” That much she was entirely sure about.

She walked around the room to check Teuihua's innards from the other side as well. “There's five of them.” She confirmed the amount of empty slots. “If someone's been stealing crystals like this, do you think the crystals we spotted near the magic tower and apple tree were stolen and displaced in a similar manner?” An ancient Mictlantecuhtlian crystal thief could've been behind it all, perhaps?

“Do you still remember those diagrams? If you do, we could try draw them at some point. It might help me figure out what might be changed or missing.” She'd reply. Or how to make another, should she ever want to try do so.

“Hmmm. That explains a few things. I wonder if I could make you new ones, or if we could find someone else to build you new ones.” She replied, as she wasn't sure if they'd ever find the old ones.

The next bit took her totally off-guard. She blinked a few times as she read it... Did.. did someone ancient Mictlantecuhtlian deity just play a trick on her? Besides, it's not like she'd wanted Yuzuki or Ringo to leave, as she'd rather enjoyed their company. The ones that have yet to come... wait, what? She blinked again, though the message was gone... Staring in silence for a bit, she shook her head. She was just loosing it, wasn't she?

On the topic of loosing it, Alister was talking a lot and most of it sounded like the type of cultist talk that got the barony in troubled waters prior. “It probably doesn't really need mention, but I'll say it regardless. Please do try not to talk about killing deities and the likes in public. The county has once been split off from Ryke into its own nation due to people starting to worship the previous Count, though that didn't last long and ended in great disaster. I'd rather not see that repeat.” She'd warn him.

After, she'd sigh. “I don't think I'll even need my tools, as there's nothing for me to work on, open up or check. It seems like being [Chosen] did most of that for me. Unless there's something else you want me to check, you can close up again... or ehm, tell me how to get you to close up again?” She wasn't sure how that worked.

Then she turned to Alister. “Should I try reheat the tea at the forge? I could really go for a cup now.” She'd add, still wondering what in the world she just read in Teuihua's innards.

“Thou innards are brighteth, like a celestialeth, neigh like a demoneth. Thou hath showeth me and mine a ligheth showeth.” She'd nod, seemingly satisfied with seeing Teuihua's innards. Though she did wonder. “Hast thou lighteth neigh cometh from a spiriteth? Thast would be beeth what thee See folketh suggesteth.”

She'd look at Alister, surprised. “I demoneth is a fouleth creatureth! Evileth incarnateth! It shouldst be destroyeth before it destroyeth all elseth!” She'd warn him. “You worlds mangleth angelth soundeth like demoneth! Fouleth, evileth, defilinigeth beings! Your sinnereth soundeth like even worseth demoneth!”

That said, she'd soon be distracted, stuffing her mouth with cookies after setting three of them aside for the remaining three. She was just that nice, after all.

Teuihua listened politely to Alister, it sounded like there were a great deal of trials and tribulations required to ascend to godhood. Killing a god being simple struck Teuihua as strange as that was just conceptually something he hadn't really thought possible before, but he supposed if there was really a whole nother world out there it was possible.

He was a tad surprised when Alister got to the bit about being hold didn't mean he remembered it all, and that he could have possibly been jealous about Teuihua going into stasis? Teuhiua couldn't imagine life being described as a living hell, but it sounded like Alister had been through many difficult things, he was being generous as far as allowing Lady Caelia to help decide his future choice on how his power went, which Teuihua appreciated he also seemed to be kind.

"I had not considered that perspective, I am sorry to hear that life has brought you difficulties in some of these ways. I suppose it may be another part of the plights of being an organic. I and others of my kind were crafted with a good deal of individuality in their craftsmanship, and many of us feel quite content fulfilling what our creator's original directive is, it is an existence which can lend itself to less complexities."

He then replied to Regula, "A lack of band indicates there is less power moving through then there should be."

"Only Five of them suggests there are possibly 8 others missing, there should be another set of five slots parallel and then three larger ones in a different location and oreintation, I take it those three are completely missing then."

"It is possible that the crystals were stolen, as well as slots, even if constructs of my caliber at least had creators who often put a lot of individual and customized effort into creating us, it's also likely that others have "innard systems" which may use some of the same components as myself even if not arranged in exactly the same way or with the same types, so it is very possible that over time these crystals were misplaced. It's also safe to say that these were not only used in constructs."

"...Yes actually I believe the diagram should be saved somewhere from within me, my creators would have imprinted it for quick reference so it could be brought up without having to open me up each time they wanted to take a look at it."

Teuihua nodded at Regula's talk about being cautious about not being seen as a cultist.

Before he continued, "You took a look at one of the most important areas certainly, as for tools..there might be more application in the limbs, particularly this one," Teuhiua moved his more dexterous hand to his large pillar of an arm.

"Granted it sounds like entire slots are missing which means optimally that part being recast would likely be ideal."

"If there are some lying around places It may be possible to find some original ones, maybe through looking over the deeper part of ruins, as I am well aware that sadly many of the sites of my civilization have been picked over by looters, explorers, researchers, and adventurers over time, not that I can particularly blame them of course."

"With that said, if you'd like to take a look at my arm. I'll leave that up to you, otherwise I thank you for the work you've done, It's appreciated."
Teuihua spoke warmly. When she brought up the idea of how he closed, Teuihua took his more dexterous arm moved it just behind the top of his chest cavity and seemed to flick some sort of small lever within before retracting his hand and his chest went back to closing itself pretty quickly.

"It's interest enough you mention that Ethel, as actually..spirits are not far off from why It glows the way it does, not nefarious, but ones of good and noble intentions I can assure you. If Ringo was here she could likely tell you as much."

"Don't worry I doubt I'm ever gonna say this information again, unless asked by one of you to tell it to another. I know it sounds like Cultist or Heretic talk." Alister replied, with his hands high in the air, in a sign of protest against him ever doing it again. Although he did remember a few gods he killed in the past, sure minor gods but still.

"Don't worry about it Teuihua. Take it as some ramblin' from a man, a really old man. Though I don't know if having an eidetic memory would make me less sad about it even more sad really." Alister responded waving his hand in disapproval, he didn't need pity, especially after such a long time of living with that realization.

Alister walked up to the teapot, grabbing it, and placing his hand on its underside, after a bit he took his hand out, still holding the teapot in his hand.
"The tea is lukewarm from what I'm feeling, so I can pour you a cup if you want, but if you want a hotter one then sure we need to reheat it."
Alister proclaimed waiting for Regula's answer, ready to either pour her a cup or walk to the forge to reheat the tea.

Alister listened attentively to Ethel's words, new words after all did confuse him sometimes so its better to learn them now rather than later.
"I see... Those demons sound more like the Outer Gods of my world, or the Maddened Beyonders, since I never heard anyone or anything be called as such in my world. Well what can I say when your world is old enough to experience the rise and fall of civilization twice. First by the hubris of humanity, the second one by the outer gods, only to usher a third era of civilizations where other gods found ways to bar the world from most outer gods actions. But yes, me, my previous lord, my best friend, and most of our followers would kill those sinners on sight so there is that."
Alister chuckled seeing Ethel stuff her face with most of the cookies, seeing that he placed the teapot down on the side, taking out and placing the cookie tray near it, while keeping the wooden tray in his hands.
"Seeing as most out our cookies vanished, if you two wish I can go take a short trip to take some from the second batch? Or we can leave them for later."

“I see.” She'd reply regarding the lack of a band. “Do you think we could make one, or should we find an original?” That was the logical follow-up question.

She'd just nod at the number of slots and whatnot, not sure what that meant or indicated. “Did you have that many others under your control? Or was it about various amounts or complexity or something?” She tried making some sense of it.

“That's a shame, though I guess that means we might yet find some repurposed ones? Or do they not have a lifespan long enough to still be around and functioning?” She honestly wasn't too confident in her ancient-civilisation construct technology crafting just yet. She'd get an answer soon enough. A part needed to be recast. “Alright, I'll have to figure out the right material for it, in that case. Yet it should be possible. It'd just take some planning and perhaps a few trials and errors.”

The next bit saddened her a bit. “As much as I'd like too, I'm afraid I'd not be able to go explore with you again. Unless we'd find something in the barony or on its fringes, I'd rather not risk making far-off trips like the one we went on to Gala'Kraoth. It'd give my opponents too many chances to destabilize the barony.” That time felt like it was further and further behind her.

As for his arm, she shook her head. “So long as it's functioning well, I don't see the need to work on it. I'll admit I also don't exactly have any concrete plans, schematics or ideas that I could work with as of now. Perhaps I could one day see about casting parts of it in mithril so that it could be enchanted, but that'd take a lot more time and effort than we have right now.”

Teuihua mentioning Ringo was... a tad painful. Especially after the Mict. deity having already confronted her with it. She decided to try remain silent on that front. Though there was one thing she did wish to ask. “You told me about a trickster deity, didn't you? I'm sorry, I forgot their name. Could you tell me a bit more?” The last 'message' seemed very much like it'd come from one of that sort.

Glad to hear Alister understand, she'd smile. “I'm glad you understand, thanks.” She thanked him, tired, yet happy enough to trust his word on it. As for the tea, she'd head up the forge on and waved for him to hand him over the tea-post. She'd reheat it herself with her blacksmith tool, namely some tongs, in a way that seemed a little too practised. Making sure the pot wouldn't get too hot and break, yet still heating it effectively and quickly enough. “I did this more often than you'd think, back when I was still doing this for a living in the capital.” She'd explain. As for the cookies. “I don't mind. Just the tea will do.”

She listened to his spirit explanation. She was a tad shocked. “Thou hath goodest and nobeleth spiritheths heldst prisoneth insideth thee?!?” That was a shocking thing to learn for sure. Although perhaps not the right lesson to take away from this.

Alister's words seemed to satisfy her. “Thee and thou shouldst! Monstereth hath neigh but death and decayeth in their mindesth! Alloweth thee neigh monstereth to liveth, for it wouldst by thy undoing!” She stated confidently and resolute.

As they were talking, however, one of the baroness' administrators walked in, giving a bow to the baroness before speaking up. “Madam baroness. I was told to come ask you if you were able to meet with mister Reynard. He noticed some oddities in Yemaya's bookkeeping, from before the city's downfall and believes it might be worth investigating.”

Regula sighed, then nodded. “Alright, I'll come take a look at it.” She'd quickly turn off the forge... but was stopped.

The fox woman looked a bit shocked. “Ah, forgive me madam baroness. It holds no such haste.”

“That's alright, we were just about done here either way.” She'd nod at Alister and Teuihua, heading off with a wave.

Silvia remained behind, a bit befuddled that the baroness had just dropped everything she was doing to go fulfil such a requestion instantly. It was also a tad concerning. “Mister Alister, mister Teuihua, if I might inquire. Does it seem to you both that milady baroness is rather pushing herself a lot lately and looking like she's rather concerned and out of it?” She'd point at the recently reheated, yet never poured-from teapot. “I... Did not mean to give her such haste as to even withhold from a simple cup of tea...” Her tail drooped to a low hang as she said it.

Alister simply listened to the conversation between Regula and Teuihua, though her behavior worried him as he could tell she was working herself over. But telling such a person to rest isn't easy as they can be as stubborn as a mule. Even when people willingly will take the pressure of her shoulders if she wont recognize it and let them handle it she wouldn't get better.
"I can imagine it Regula but proper rest is needed, a man is not a machine, not offense to Teuihua's kind, but I think even constructs need to rest especially humans."

"And she's gone... Didn't even drink a cup of tea."
Alister said under his own breath as Regula walked out of the room after Silvia came and gave her a report, he sighed at the realization that she probably won't rest and drown herself in work again.

"Don't worry. It's sadly in Regula's nature it seems to shoulder the stress and work on herself, even though she should know she has us to shoulder at least part of it with her. I can't say that I don't know one of the reasons for it but at this point, the only thing we can do is support her and alleviate some of that pressure from her, whether she likes it or not." Alister said patting Silvia on the head, not even realizing how it could be taken. For him, Silvia was just a younger coworker if not a child considering Alister's age.

He then walked to the teapot and poured the tea into three cups, one for Teuihua, one for Ethel, and one for Silvia, while saying.
"Sometimes we can't help her directly, and we can only support her from the sideline, but sometimes we need to be a bit forceful in our approach as she is the type of person who tends to bottle up her emotions, hide her pain, shoulder all her troubles and pressure alone not wanting others to have to bear this burden. Had a friend like that, he only began to let others shoulder part of his troubles after someone ripped his heart out, and I mean it literally. Though he did survive due to the grace of one of the gods, back to the topic at hand, this type of people tends to only learn that they should let others carry some part of their troubles or ask for help after something catastrophic happens."
Having said what he needed to say he passed each one of them their cup and one cookie, before placing his own and Regula's cap onto the tray along with the teapot. Then he slowly moved towards the exit door, only to look back at them and say one more thing.
"Now if you excuse me I am going to berate our lady to at least have her take a short rest till the tea is finished, and maybe convince her to at least take a nap, if I don't manage to have her go get proper sleep. If any of you want to join me in alleviating some of the pressure from her they are invited to do so, though I would like if someone took some of the cookies I left in the kitchen with them."
And as he said he did, Alister walked out of the forge, following Regula's recent scent to whatever room she moved to do what she thought was more important than rest and tea.
Standing in front of the door to the study he knocked on it with his hand while he held the tray in his other hand, while calling out to her.
"Can I come in? Mind you this time less as a person in your employ and more of a friend who worries."
Hearing her words of approval he entered the room closing the door behind himself, and placed the tea set on a small table within the room, pouring a cup of it for Regula and passing it to her.

"You didn't have a cup yet. Come, let us remedy that. While you savor the warmth of your drink, allow me to tend to these papers for you. You see, it pains me to watch you carry such a burden alone. I may not know the precise worries that weight upon your heart, but I understand the toll they can take. It is not wise to let your spirit wither away under such pressure. So, please, take a moment to rest, if only while you enjoy your tea. Perhaps even close your eyes for a brief nap. In the meantime, let me lighten your load, and ease some of your troubles. Remember, you do not have to face this alone. You have your friends and family here who are willing to help you with anything. Not because you are their lord, no, they are willing to help because of who you are, though most might refrain from telling it to you directly to not waste what you have built so far. But I am just an old man at soul even though the body is young, I have nothing to lose other than the company of you, your people, and anyone else I hold dear to my heart. So listen to this centuries-old man, and rest for a while, if you need I can even sing a lullaby and lend you my tail for comfort if you so wish. “
Alister said calmly yet with worry in his voice, he enjoyed his time here, he enjoyed the company here, and he did not want to see another person waste away from pressure especially since it was self-induced. Now he simply waited for her answer to his proposal. He truly hoped he didn't need to do anything drastic to get her some rest, but if he must be he will do it, he is a loyal mutt after all, wishing only the best for his master.
