Active [Vaitiare Town] Watering my Plant

Asahi was glad that the she-fox let his proverb slide, especially since he didn't much feel like explaining it to her. He also didn't want to hurt her feelings much since she had been quite kind so far. He was a little surprised to find out she was a girl since he had assumed her a boy, but in either case it wasn't a big deal. Although it made him think perhaps she wasn't a cub after all, but probably closer to his own age. This was a thing about beast people he had learned since coming here and was perhaps their greatest flaw. Their age and gender were often hard to distinguish, except for those with mostly human appearance, and he made sure to make a mental note to be more cautious about it going forward. Nevertheless, cub or not, boy or girl, he followed his comrade in peeping up the stairs and ladders. He took note of her explanation of the system and thought carefully on what he wanted to see, knowing only that he had no interest in naked men at all.

" I am interested in the more feminine and as you call them socially-appealing ladies. I may be a mage as well, but those slender and wonderfully curved bodies are priceless." He replied with the same filthy and distant look that the fox had given only moments before.

When he came back to himself he looked at the opening that seemed to lead to the Plant-girl, the panda, and certain doom. He contemplated taking a peep as he continued talking to the fox-girl.

" They are pretty thin and not so muscular as far as I saw.....but you can't judge their skills based on that. A lot of muscles doesn't necessarily mean they have a lot of skills. Since you want to be protected on the battle field as well as in the bedroom, make sure you are looking at more than just the biceps and such. As for spying on them I also think that is a bit too dangerous. I think I'm gonna try to peep up on just some of the other servants and such."

With that said, he picked what he hoped was a suitable opening and climbing up he peered in, doing his best to see whatever he could see. He fervently prayed to the non-existent Goddess of bad-luck, hoping for mercy as he looked about, since he didn't want to see a naked red bastard or any of his male kindred. He knew however that the prayer would go unanswered but he still hoped to see the lively play of a couple of noble ladies or maids in exchange for his innocence.

Despite islwyn s rubbing and shaping all over Nikita she did not get a shiny Nikita thus time, just a clean one. Nikita was almost instantly in a better mood once it seemed that Euthalia had confirmed she was good abd wasn't going to end up a slave. Nikita had no experience hiding her emotions so her feelings right now were plain and clear. While she ight be able to put on a straight face in front of the panda she wasn't sure if she could alone. Well it wasn't like she would ever be alone withher Nikita was sure Euthalia woukd protect her from that. The bashing on human culture bugged Nikita far less than it shoukd given she just assumed humans in this world were no good those from her old world were much better. Then islwyn asked about a sleep over and Nikita shook her head.

" It was just me and my parents on the island then just me. They were hiding, they made something very scary and wanted to hide it " while normally she would not explain this to hide what her parents had hidden, but islwyn was a friend and well the island wasn't even in this world.

Hearing the announcement Nikita would follow eithalia in putting on a towel, though she didn't see the point if they were just getting in water again.

Shael was pleasantly surprised to hear Euthalia's word on it.

She continued in common just out of politeness for Nikita, knowing that everyone else present could understand

"Quite right you are I believe." she'd nod with a small smile.

With the next bit Shael looked like she was reflecting for a bit, a bit of a less pleased look taking hold on her face while she thought, before continuing.

"I agree that an incident like that would be very unfortunate, and in very poor taste, so I hope that if one was trying to..be polite and ingratiate themselves with possible allies they'd know not to do something which would be humiliating, I mean..is it not common knowledge that most Fae particularly from the Fae See at least would find that to be incredibly inappropriate? Sacrilegious even Nevertheless, if it meant securing longer term peace and property, perhaps biding one times and swallowing their pride might be the best course of action, as much as I am inclined to agree with you, in general I think slavery to be..well I think I made myself clearly earlier..but if it was for the greater good perhaps..even if just to bide one's time before being able to make greater change on the victimized behalf and hopefully get them out of such conditions through diplomacy.."

Shael's optimism and desire for peace shining through, perhaps even a bit [Naive].

But it still spoke of a great optimism and desire.

Even so her expression lightened a bit when Euthalia agreed with her.

She'd nod.

"I also agree that there are many problems with many humans, and a good deal of them can be attributed to the elements that you mention, of course I believe there are also some who..are inclined toward evil across all races, but I'm glad to see that there is some nuance to be had. Rather than an inherently all being irredeemable, I like to think at the very least some can be redeemed, and that is worth pursuing, would you not agree? At the very least it means that this realm would be better taken care of, which is a net positive for all of us living here."

Shael chuckled lightly at hearing Islwyn mention Satyr sleep overs, thinking that..her sister might enjoy one of those based on how she understood things were going with her.

She also gave a light smile to Keone, "I'm pleased to hear it sounds like I'm doing a satisfactory job." She'd continue to help clean Keone to the best of her ability.

Shael's expression shifted again to a bit..perplexed when Nikita mentioned her parents and something scary being hidden, but before she could ask for an elaboration

but then she heard the voice and knew it was time to get going, getting up to towel herself for modesty and head out with the rest of the group.

Although Euthalia was a bit curious about what Nikita meant about hiding and making something scary, she decided to focus on it at a later point. She had a mission to focus on first. Upon hearing Shael's words about Fae slaves being used for them, she'd nod. Though it wasn't out of agreement. “We mentioned tests before, didn't we? I'm not excluding this dilemma to perhaps become one of them, so we'd best be prepared.” That was the whole reason she'd brought it up again. Or well, the main reason. The other was just plain and simple curiosity.

Shael's opinion on Humans, however, went a lot further into the progressive side than Euthalia's. “Redeemed?” She'd ask, highly doubtful. “I'm not sure.” She honestly thought it wasn't possible, but didn't want to start up an argument right now. “All I know is that they might not be as bad if you raise them right.” That's what Nikita's proven to her, at least. Though it was clear Nikita was more considered a favoured pet rather than someone of equal standing at this point.

Keone Nagendra

With the snake so clean that her slithering made squeaky noises on the tiles, she'd got caught off guard even more by Shael's response. Only Euthalia was that nice to her among Fae and Euthalia seemed to mostly do it due to forgetting Keone was a Beast more often than not. “Right... ehm, thanks. You're pretty nice.” The snake just said, not sure what else to say or do, other than just grab a towel and slither along.

Islwyn Meadhra

Having failed to evolve Nikita into a shiny Nikiqueen, she'd sigh and rinse the girl off. “There you go, cleaner than ever~” She had just about enough time to get herself washed before they were called upon. That said, whereas Euthalia wanted to focus on the mission, Islwyn wasn't able to set aside her curiosity. “Hiding? From what? What kind of scary thing did they make?”

The group was led by a servant (a Human one, luckily) as they went up some stairs, then towards a central room. Once in it, they'd see their hostess was awaiting them. She too, looked freshly washed and dressed in nothing but the highest quality towels.

“Ah, there you are. I hope the cleaning facilities were to your liking?” She asked them. “I'm assuming you all understood their value and usages?” She'd look at all present, except for Euthalia, as it hadn't been Euthalia's role to know or use them. That said, they would either need to bluff, lie or confess their way out, as there'd been many product that none of them would have know a single thing about.

“Either way, I would like you all to take in this room. It's my personal favourite. The warm waters provide a good place for many rare and gorgeous plants to grow, don't you think?” She'd state, as she gestured around the room for them to observe it all.

She'd nod at hearing his tastes. “Well, according to what I learned of the schedules, it'd be there, or maybe over there.” She'd point at some air vents close to one another. “My dad always used to say that those slender would just freeze where we live, so it's better to look for the ones with a body that can warm them.”

She herself would, with little hesitation, head over to the one where she'd said some muscular guards might appear. For a moment, it seemed like she couldn't get up high enough, but the she summoned up a block of ice to stand upon. Seeing how her tail suddenly started wagging up a storm, it seemed like she was seeing exactly what she'd hoped to be seeing.

Meanwhile, Asahi himself was also having some luck. There were various 'upper class' looking servants present, mostly Humans, a few Fae and even the odd Beast. As expect from upper-class servants, they all had highly pleasing shapes and forms, though a few of them came with scars from possible whipping and other forms of abuse. However, just as he got into appreciating (or being horrified by) some of those sights, he'd spot someone familiar.

It was one of the co-owners of Alethea... What she was doing here, of all places? Only the goddess of bad luck knew. Perhaps she'd offered him all these sighs for a short moment, just so she could take it all away and make it extra punishing? It was unclear what had caused her to be so angry with him. Unless for those knowing it's the Wanted title in action. Sadly enough for him, he wasn't just spotting her. She, as if by Wanted Title divine providence, looked up and had her eyes cross his almost immediately.

Within seconds, the air vent frosted over with cake frosting, removing his vision from what was going on inside. He could also hear her muffled voice call out and whilst he couldn't hear the exact words, it didn't sound good. His co-conspirator, Tushar, seemed to have not noticed a single thing yet.

As Asahi looked down at all the fresh beauties he could not help but to wonder just exactly how cold Tushar's home must be for them to worry about thin people freezing to death. If it was more than a stout coat and good gloves could handle then Asahi was not interested in it. That was just too much cold, and everyone knows that both too much cold and too much warmth are bad. Bad for the body and equally bad for the soul so far as Asahi was concerned.

While he enjoyed all the pleasant forms cavorting below he definitely couldn't take his eyes off the occasional scars he found on their supple and sweet looking bodies. To his great concern he found it both alluring and horrifying. From the mind of a doujin reader this whole slavery game was some super amazing thing, but having now seen this in full on real life it cemented a distaste for it firmly in his mind and heart. He would never own a slave he decided then and there, not ever. Maybe he might even do something about it, but he knew he really wasn't the type. He wasn't any kind of a hero after all and his survival instinct told him to stay the hell away from freeing the slaves type of actions.

Then time seemed to slow to a crawl as a very familiar form came into view. Their eyes locked onto each other and his mind was stricken impotent. He watched as recognition bloomed on her face. Then suddenly cake frosting burst in front of him nearly causing his heart to stop. Yes, it seemed the cake witches were still mad at him. Who knew that the imprudent use of seduction would be so long lasting, and with those thoughts his mind surged back to life from the initial shock of it all. He shot down the ladder as if the devil king himself were trying to take his virginity.

As soon as he touched ground he rush to Tushar's ladder.

" Hey! hey! we gotta get the fuck out of here right now!" He yelled up to the fox-girl. " The devil's done spotted us!"

His voice had the same exact sense of despair and urgency as a man who goes on his very first date, shits his pants mid date, and then has to excuse himself from a rather good conversation without getting caught for it all. He kept his head on a swivel as he looked about for the guards and such that would soon be upon them. He wasn't about to ditch his comrade in arms to fate, and so he steeled himself for what would surely be a very dire situation.

Nikita tensed a bit when Vaitaire was there, despite knowing she would be there. Nikita didn't really get how the panda woman was both seemingly good and bad at things. Euthalia seemed to like the room alot but she had also talked about fae slaves which Euthalia disliked and seemed to be sonething they all disliked. Then again Nikita knew nothing of diplomacy so maybe that was how it worked? Well Nikita just needed follow Euthalia and ther other's lead. Sheal also seemed to be a bit not used to this whole deal.

The room that housed their baths was more like an enclosed minature forest and Nikita wondered why build something if you were just going to put nature in it. In Nikita's experience you cleard and area and built a building to keep plants out so you had a clean area to work in. Nikita couldn't help but think a river would have been as good a place to bathe if they could warm the water if people went to these lengths to mimic one.

The answer to Vaitaire's question was a hard one and Nikita was unsure she should answer. Euthalia had called her a pet so would one of those wash her? Well Nikita had said she would. Maybe she should answer but not be honest yet not tell a lie. Euthalia had bathed herself because she wanted to so only she knew if they were good for her kind.

" They were very good " Nikita said notsaying that they were good on herself, but Vaitaire didn't need to know that.

Shael nodded thoughtfully twice to what Euthalia had to say, not really having too much more to say on the test matter, other than showing that she agreed, and also not really wanting to get into a debate about it when it was clear that she and Euthalia weren't quite on the same page based on her reaction. That was fine, Shael didn't expect the vast majority of Fae to be on the same page as her.

"That's a fair assessment, environment is important." She'd add more naturally, glad to hear that perhaps there was some progress or at least the possibility of Euthalia being open to there being something more than just all humans were inherently bad, even believing if they were put in a better environment from get go they were better was better than the prior stance in Shael's mind as it allowed there to be an opportunity for growth in tolerance.

Shael chuckled a bit, "I try my best to be." she said in response to Keone.

It seemed that the same question that Shael had been thinking was asked by Islwyn but went unanswered, perhaps Nikita had a reason for not sharing more on that matter, but to be fair there were more pressing matters as of the present time.

Shael followed the human diligently with the others.

Then it came to Lady Vaitiare, who once again it almost felt like she was testing the waters with them with how she spoke or it could have even just been simple chit chat too, with how she spoke it was hard to tell at times.

Shael was pleasantly surprised that Nikita' strategy didn't appear to be the worst one. Instead of commenting specifically about how each one was used, Shael figured something more neutral and grateful sounding would suffice.

"From what I can tell they are of the utmost quality, but of course I'd expect no less from the West Empire, I appreciate haven being given this opportunity, thank you." She'd reaffirm giving a bit of a bow. It wasn't confirming or denying, but it was acknowledging and praising which hopefully, since Shael was being honest of her perception, would be taken well.

Shael looked around the room after the panda lady talked about it and why It was one of her favorites.

"Nature is certainly something I can appreciate myself whether it's left to it's devices in the wild or carefully curated like this..I'm glad that you sound like you are of a similar mind in seeing the value of it." Shael commented with a soft smile.

The panda was a tad surprised to hear the Human speak up first. “Were they now?” She didn't seem to fully believe it, but left it at that. “I'm glad to hear that.” Perhaps she was being merciful. She'd nod to Shael as well. “I'm glad none of our products were an issue with your rare type of complexion.” She turned to Euthalia. “More so that they were adequate for flesh and... plant? Alike.”

Deciding not to give a biology lesson, she'd just nod. “They were. The scents were akin to the ones I made myself, which was a pleasant surprise.” She'd add, thinking back on the perfumes she'd use back in her court days.

The panda would turn back to Shael. “Of course. Without nature, things would be rather bleak and dull, would they not?” She'd chuckle. “Either way, let us proceed.” She stated, as she let them upward once more. They'd end up at a smaller room at the very top of the building.

“This is my private room. Only me, my direct servants and my most esteemed guests get to enter here.” She'd look at Euthalia. “Though for this occasion, I'll allow your companions to join us. After all, I must say, I am curious.” Before explaining herself further, she'd drop her towel and get into the waters. “Please, join me.” She'd gesture.

Figuring there might be some pecking order involved, Euthalia went second. The water was warm, though not uncomfortably so. To her surprise, it smelled like a variety of herbs. It also felt odd 'soft' for what was supposedly mere water.

“The water is treated with some rare herbs from our nation. They'll work wonders on the skin, fur or scales and it helps the water feel even more relaxing.” The panda would explain. She'd gesture, indicating the others could take place as well. That said, Islwyn and Keone would wait for Shael to go first. She'd been picked out as 'more important' previously, after all.

Before long, the panda would speak up. “I can't help but wonder, for all of you, how did you come to meet miss Apricot?” For some reason, it seemed she avoided asking this question to Euthalia directly. Perhaps hearing out the latter's servants was a way for her to see if she could catch something to use against Euthalia? Either that, or she was more curious about the relations between non-slave servants and the one they served in general.

She nearly got herself a heart attack when hearing Asahi called out to her. “The devil?” She was confused, but the despair in his voice sounded real. “Got it! Get ready!” She stated, as she pulled out a blue gem. “May the cold guide, may the ice be my path!” She chanted, as suddenly a slide of ice formed, going down from their position to somewhere further off from the bathhouse. “Get on!” She called out, as she'd hop on and was sliding down from it.

As Asahi would follow (if he was clever enough to do so), a familiar face appeared from within the bathhouse. “I knew I should've thrown you into the boiler room the moment I spotted you!” The guard didn't look all that pleased... one might even say he looked absolutely furious.

Another familiar face would follow suit. “It's definitely him! He's been peering inappropriately at girls even before coming here. The absolute scum of the earth!” She would back up Rohit.

She herself seemed to be charging up to cast something as well, as the red guard would start sprinting at them. If Asahi had any means to try aid their escape, now would be the time. Otherwise he'd have to slide (and afterwards run) for his dear life. Or at the very least for his freedom.

Nikita still didn't like the panda lady, though she at least seemed to not be calling out any mistakes she was making. It was annoying to have to think about how someone else saw what you did when they had such a weird worldview. Euthalia was for the most part much easier to understand. Nikita still didn't get why she disliked other humans, keone she understood, but euthalia just seemed to think it. Nikita had kind of started to ignore any talk like that as Euthalia and the others were nice to her so maybe they only liked people by themselves.

The pool they were brought to looked far more like a bath than the pervious room which was more a bath trying to be a river for some reason. Nikita did kind of wonder how many plants they had to grow and tear up to make all the herbal stuff they used here. She would not be surprised if a small forest was used.

Despite knowing that the panda woman had a weird view of hierarchy and such, nikita still could miss cues and was still being socialized. She got many things but the precise pecking order wasn't one if them. So ignorant of any expected order Nikita dropped her towel and got in the water next to euthalia. She likely sat to close for polite makers and servants and all that but well euthalia was about as uncomfortable as her so she should be close.

When Vaitiare asked how they had met Euthalia,Nikita actully wanted to know. She had never really asked, sheal was kind of just invited along because, but islwyn and keone were a mystery. Nikita assumed keone's story had something to do with slavery bit didn't know and she couldn't even guess at Islwyn.

Again not one to know the order they were expected to speak in Nikita spoke up first yo answer. " Euthalia, islwyn, and keone found me in a forest not long ago and took me along with them " she was leaving out details like her homes, the spider people, the bee, the doll, and the whole she was from another world. How exactly Vaitiare took euthalia picking up random rather young looking humans from forests Nikita didn't even think abou, the panda woman had asked so she answered as quickly as she could.

Asahi watched as the Ice slide erupted into being, and Tushar jumped on shouting for him to follow after her as she slid down to the street below. Asahi quickly made his way to the slide, but before he could mount up a very familiar pair of faces emerged. One was that of Vaitiare's guard, and the other a better left forgotten acquaintance.

“I knew I should've thrown you into the boiler room the moment I spotted you!”

The guards words were left hanging in the air as Asahi tactically ignored the red fellow. His attention instead falling on the cake witch in all her angry beauty.

“It's definitely him! He's been peering inappropriately at girls even before coming here. The absolute scum of the earth!”

Her words only stung very slightly as he took heed of her beginning the process of casting a spell. Asahi needed a way to slow them down or fuck with them as he noted the guard begin to sprint toward him eagerly desiring to engage in illicit hand holding so far as Asahi was concerned. He wasn't about to let either one go down if he could help it. It was in that exact moment that he hit upon an idea of pure genius. He blew them both the most adorablest, noblest, sweetieest kiss he could, all while fully utilizing his seduction skill ( seduction f ). Thus he hoped to throw off their game with the accompanying rage and confusion such an action was likely to engender. He followed this with a jovial shout.

" My peeping is never inappropriate!! Daddy out!!" His words were loud and filled with all the bravado he could muster as he leapt onto the slide.

He knew this could only end in a few distinct ways. Either he would escape with a wonderful story to tell or he would end up as someone's jacket. He wasn't sure which of those fates he was currently hurtling toward as he rocketed down the ice. He only knew that he was headed there in full speed. This thought made the chill of the ice numbing his butt cheeks a real situation. It felt like an omen for Asahi; a sign that things were going to get rough. He vowed then and there that he would definitely get a beer after this was all said and done.

Thankfully the lady seemed to be playing nice with Nikita for the time being as she could have decided to press her on that if she was in a less agreeable mood, even Shael with out a particularly social background wasn’t ignorant to that fact.

She almost looked inquisitively at Lady Vaitiare when she mentioned rare complexion, but kept herself looking neutral at that before giving a soft smile and a nod.

“I suppose you’re right, as there aren’t..that many Lune elves, nor other beings whom I know of who share that..feature, you’d be correct that it’s rare, I just hadn’t really thought of it that way before in that context honestly.”

With Lady Vaitiare’s follow up to Shael’s nature dialogue, she’d nod again.

“Quite right you are.” That was one thing she liked about Beast and Fae alike in that many of them tended to value nature in some capacity, at least the ones from the Fae See and as she was seeing now at least some from the West Empire, as for the others it was hard to say, particularly those who had removed themselves so thoroughly from the Fae See like Fae living in Widersia, part of her thought if she asked around there, the response might have been more indifferent or even disagreeable.

Shael nodded at ‘let us proceed’ as she proceeded to proceed.

Upon entering the room Shael looked around at how nice it was, listening to the lady describe how it was her private area. That and apparently only other VIPs were allowed to come bathe here.

“ I am sincerely humbled by this opportunity, thank you Lady Vaitiare.” Shael said with a bit of a bow, trying her best to do what she did before.

She’d also add with a small soft smile. “I hope that we’ll be able to satiate your curiosity then.”

Upon seeing the others waiting for her, Shael was about to drop her towel and follow suit after Euthalia and the lady had gone in, but

Unfortunately it didn’t appear that Nikita was really with the program so to speak on that front. Shael wouldn’t say a word on the matter instead lowering her towel and neatly placing it where it wouldn’t be obstructive, before she made her way carefully and gently into the waters as well.

“Ah..West Empire herbs..yes I think I may have heard about some of their versatility before..”

It was pretty hard not to with all the medicine science and potion uses being thrown about with those sorts of ingredients.

After Shael took her allotted place in the water, while she felt how nice It was, and Nikita had given some of her own story, Shael spoke up to answer the Panda lady’s question when the time felt right.

“I met Euthalia Apricot, when I was hired by the Faazi Merchant Guild to be a guard and guide of sorts for her on a diplomatic mission which involved her traveling into the Shade of the Fae See, which..as you can tell by my complexion as you mentioned I’m rather familiar with.”

Shael answered rather seriously, and it almost sounded like she was making an attempt at a sort of dry joke on the latter bit, but regardless, she continued,

“That was the primary reason for why I, an adventurer, ended up meeting someone as diplomatically established as Miss Apricot, happenstance, otherwise I do believe it would have been pretty unlikely that we would have met.” She answered honestly.

"it was Mycothra more specifically, I do not know if you have heard of the place but it's a dwelling underground with Fae who resemble fungus and other things which like living underground."

Nikita was able to do as she wished before Islywn or Keone could notice it and stop her, as the girl got into the waters. Not just way out of order, but also way too close. It was already a slight miracle that the others were allowed to share the same water with a 'lady', so choosing any side that wasn't 'furthest away from her and her guest (Euthalia)' had been a dangerous, if not outright bad move.

Seeing just how uncultured the Human was, her features started to frown and darken. She might even be wondering if her curiosity was becoming too tasteless. Yet, before she could put a question to it, or before Islwyn and Keone could try remedy things, Euthalia herself stepped in.

Having a near sap-stream attack at seeing Nikita breaching all forms of protocol, she realised that the Human had not at all been ready for something like this. Sadly enough, that failure wouldn't be on Nikita's reputation, but on Euthalia's. Her mind worked overtime, as it couldn't find a good solution. Yet it did find a solution. Just a really bad one. One that Euthalia executed regardless, for she knew no better alternative.

As Nikita sat down besides her, she'd pull Nikita onto her lap and brushed her hands through the latter's hair. Gods... Having a Human so close was absolutely, terribly, unmistakably... not as foul, horrible and gross as she expected it would be. Perhaps due to Islwyn having washed said Human and them having trained her beforehand? She'd almost get stuck in her own thoughts from the reverse-shock due to lack of shock, but she was quick to follow-up on her not at all brilliant plan. “My apologies about her. As I said, she truly is more of a pet, so it can be difficult to teach her more socially intricate things.”

There it was. If she'd fully dehumanize Nikita to the point of just being a 'pet' than it shouldn't be held against her that her pet liked her and that it didn't get proper etiquette. Right? She'd just need to act the part herself, as she was pretty sure Nikita would. Nikita's own words confirmed that much. “Indeed, we decided to adopt her as we learned she was lost and alone, figuring we'd see what it would be like to teach a Human of our ways. It turns out they make for great pets if you find the right, redeemable ones.” She'd even throw in some of Shael's logic, albeit incredibly twisted. All in all, Euthalia was putting some serious [Convince] behind her words to try pull this one off.

The efforts paid off. The frown turned into a smile and into a chuckle. “Perhaps you are correct. She does seem more fun to own than most of the Human rabble. Though, to not even train her, are you sure you're not just being lazy?” It seemed the Panda wasn't just willing to give it up in full.

“Ah, my apologies, lady Vaitiare, but that's my fault. Miss Apricot tasked me with teaching her manners, but it seems I've been failing at said task.” Her movements, as she entered the bath and waded through the water, were fluent. Almost a dancing motion. She'd carefully pick Nikita up from Euthalia's lap and drag her to the other side of the bath. “Although I'm sure a gracious hostess such as yourself can excuse a silly little faun like me~” She'd state with a wink, deciding to help by taking a very big risk. Seeing how she was another Fae, she should be able to get away with a little bit more.

It turns out she was. At least in some manner. Whilst the lady was not the least bit interested in the satyr, the reaction had been satisfactory enough to her. “Fine, fine. You're forgiven.”

The lady would decide to shift her attention back to Shael instead. “How peculiar. I'd thought that, just like how fur, scale and feather types are a common topic among us [Beasts], complexions might be one amongst your kin. Tell me, do you never discuss how to protect yourselves against the sun? How to avoid reflecting too much light when in the light on a stage? How to choose outfits suited to such a marble tone?” It seemed, perhaps for the first time, the Panda was genuinely curious.

“Faazi..?” She pondered. “That does seem faintly familiar. Were they the ones employing some people form the desert up north?” The next bit also had her curious. “What's this Shade like? I can't imagine a life without sun being pleasant.”

“Fungus?” She'd chuckle. “A Sylvari going into the deep and sunless dark to talk to some fungi. You'd be able to have me think it was the start of a joke, were it not for how serious you are.” Perhaps a tad rude, but also not all that untrue.

Asahi managed to slow them down and distract them for... about six seconds. About the same amount of time he'd taken to to stand still and blow them a kiss. In other words, there wouldn't have been a single bit of net gain...

Weren't it for his companion in crime to have used those six seconds to cast something. Freezing the feet of both their perusers to the ground. “That should keep them for a bit! Now we just got to... got to...” She'd state, as she tried to run, but was panting heavily. Apparently casting those two spells in rapid succession had worn her out a lot.

“I... can't.” She'd fall to her knees. “Go ahead, run for your life. Just. Remember me, when you tell this story to your children.” She'd state, knowing that her fated doom was neigh. Her small form falling to the ground in exhaustion and defeat.

“What the hell is that fox?” She'd call out in anger, as she started trying to cast magic and pull at her feet, hoping to escape the ice she'd had them trapped into.

“That 'fox' is a nobleman's daughter. Show some respect Fae!” He stated, as he hacked at the ice around him. “Although her punishment will not be any lighter for bringing shame up her status!” He'd shout out, clearly meant to intimidate, as he kept hacking at the ice around his feet in anger. It looked like he'd get out in no-time.

Nikita was surprised as Euthalia picked her and put her on her lap. Nikita had been close to Euthalia and honestly had given up on the panda lady. She had asked a question and this was supposed to be a bath so she had done as she normally would. She also had gotten close to euthalia thinking that would help calm her nerves. Really The panda had the worst least relaxing bath ever. Everyone here int he group had been insulted one way or another and yet all anyone did was try to please Vaitiare. What was the point? The panda woman ran a bath house that had been the worst bath ever so why try to please her? This wasn't forming a relationship, this wasn't learning from one another and seeing how others saw things. All this was was one person thinking people liked her when everyone else didn't. Nikita kind of wondered what the other human they had seen was doing, he must be having more fun among the others than Nikita was having here with Vaitiare. There was little that could be as boring as dealing with someone like the panda.

Nikita would honestly wonder if she, Islwyn, and Keone could just kind of sneak out of here, The panda seemed to only care about well honestly even Euthalia seemed to be a side thing Sheal seemed to be her main target. Vaitire had done nothing to actually consider Euthalia at all and seemed to mostly just talk about her self when talking to Euthalia. Maybe The panda just wanted Shael and everyone else was just around the elf. Really This was the most she had heard Vaitire talk about anyone but herself.

" So she can talk about something other than herself, i guess tepigs will learn fly now " Nikita whispered to islwyn as much as it seemed the panda had a bad impression of her it seemed Nikita had a perhaps lower opinion of the panda. If she was a pokemon she would be the kind you just leave or if for some reason caught you found someone else to take them someone that could deal with them.

Seeing Euthalia posture like Nikita was a pet only suggested to Shael just how desperate Euthalia was to try to make sure this diplomatic operation wasn’t screwed up, particularly since Shael now knew more just how Euthalia felt about humans from their prior conversations.

Shael paid attention to the lady pandas reaction and while it was apparent it might have saved them from getting her offended ire, it still didn’t stop her from questioning Euthalia’s training methods of her ‘pet’.

Ultimately she felt that Euthalia had picked one of the more strategic routes when it came to preserving getting a start for diplomacy so be it. Nikita didn’t really seem like the sort who’d be offended or take it personally with how she’d been self proclaiming herself as a pet at times anyway.

Shael did not feel inclined to speak more on the matter after Islewyn added her words.

She did notice the lady’s reaction or rather lack there of, perhaps she was only interested in men? Or maybe it was a race thing. The thoughts crossing Shaels mind, it was even possible Islywn simply wasn’t the lady’s type, or that she wasn’t interested in anyone at all that way.

Either Way Islwyn had gotten the diplomatic side of things a bit of a boon it seemed, with the lady being willing to say she was forgiven, so it sounded somewhat helpful at least.

What Shael hadn’t quite been expecting was when the lady seemed to take more interest in her or at least things pertaining to her people. Which she didn’t mind all to much as long as she didn’t say something that was going to mess things up.

She did take note of Nikita whispering but didn’t bring attention too or acknowledge it, the less attention to it the better.

She would try her best to respond to the lady’s line of questioning.

“Well I can say that some of the Lune elves certainly talk about that, it isn’t uncommon for some to wear cloaks which pair well with the typical hue of our skin, particularly if they are going out and about during the day time in areas which get more sun, but I will say that really only applies to those of us who find themselves leaving the Shade frequently, and there are many who do not venture beyond the Fae See in that they don’t really see a reason too making it less of an issue.”

“Of course there is also magic one can use to provide additional protection so that it’s less of an issue, allowing for more. Involve fashion choices, more skin exposure so to speak if one desires, even in the sun.”

“As for stage lights It isn’t something I’ve really had to deal with nor have I met many of my own kind who need to deal with those conditions but there are practical and magical considerations alike..”

“And while It’s likely you already know this being so fashionable, colors that tend to suit us well include the very black I was wearing, as well as grays, browns, blues, greens, purples, even reds I suppose as well as oranges, and yellows, so you might find those colors more common at times.”

At her Faazi question, Shael nodded. “Yes, I believe that’s true, that the Lizardfolk which they were hiring were mercenaries from that Desert from the West Empire. Many of them were wearing turbans and wielding Scimitar’s, are you familiar with this group of lizardfolk?” Shael inquired.

“Personally I think it’s rather beautiful In it’s own way, with the lack of sunlight other forms of light take hold like those which have bioluminescent origin, it isn’t as if it is without light, much of the life in the shade is adapted to not need much sunlight at all, which I suppose makes it more pleasant for those who are suited too it, however I fully understand why one would think they wouldn’t find it pleasant.”

“Much of it is composed of forest with a heavy forest canopy, some areas with dwellings under ground others above in the trees, even high up most of the sun not reaching for most of the time.”

“So I suppose in shortit’s like a thick forest area with some clearing areas, with high and below ground living areas, which gets little light but has life which is suited to it.”

She’d nod at Fungus. Shael smiled a bit taking the comment in stride, “I can see where you could find humor in that scenario, yes it’s true that most of the group sent didn’t really find the conditions of the Shade to be the most pleasant.”

Asahi was flatly stunned that his amazingly blown kiss had only marginal impact, but it was just enough for Tushar to save the day, and that was all that mattered really. However a truly unexpected problem soon reared it's head. The little fox, whom he thought would easily out pace him in speed and stamina, was panting and collapsing nearly as soon as they had began to run. He had been so certain that she would have disappeared into the town, well ahead of himself, that he hadn't even considered needing a plan B for it. He could hear the guard shouting, and the witch shouting, and he knew they would be free soon, but he paid them no mind. This was not the moment to be worried about that. After all; he was running away not trying to fight.

“Go ahead, run for your life. Just. Remember me, when you tell this story to your children.”

Asahi slowed to a stop looking at Tushar for a long moment. He was no hero, and maybe not even a very good guy. He knew he should run, and every fiber of his being told him so. His survival instinct urged him in no uncertain terms to use the little fox as a distraction while he escaped. Even so, He ran up to Tushar.

" As if the great Asahi would allow that." He declared boldly " After this you're gonna have to name your coolest kid after me."

Then without further word he scooped her up like a sack of dirty laundry and once more began to flee the scene. He would do his best to flee as quickly as he could. He would search his hardest for a good place to hide, and he would try fervently to be a harder target as they ran. Thus Asahi, fueled by the power of not wanting to get arrested, began his great escape with the perverted noble lady Tushar.

Despite of all Euthalia's efforts and personal sacrifice, it wasn't enough. Whether it was the [Heightened Senses] that [Beasts] were well-known to possess having the lady pick up on Nikita's words, whether it was just a very sharp instinct at what she might be saying, or whether the act of whispering in her presence alone was enough to royally piss her off, the fact remained. She was royally pissed off. “It seems high time for the pets to leave my presence.” She stated with enough [Intimidation (C)] to sent a shiver down the spine of all those present.

Islwyn Meadhra
uSlu8FB.png

“Of course, of course, we'll be right out!” Islwyn was quick to say, a tad bit panicked. She'd grab Nikita by the wrist and pull her along. Nikita would notice the normally rather gentle Satyr was holding her surprisingly tight and pulling her along with a bit more force than expected. She didn't even think to grab their towels.

Keone Nagendra

The snake, wanting to slither into the warm waters and just... chill... watched things unfold. Looking at the Panda, at Euthalia, at Nikita, she sighed. She was [Beast] as well, so she wasn't on pet-level, probably, but she knew her words and actions wouldn't be any more subtle and strategic than Nikita's. It's probably be safer for her to take her leave as well... So she'd give lady Vaitiare a bow and left the room.

She'd looked satisfied when it was just her, Euthalia and Shael left. “Well then, with the distractions out of the room, where were we?” She asked.

“Isolationists, then?” She'd ask, trying to confirm if she'd understood correctly. “Even if your nation as a whole is, to have an even more isolationist faction within it. I do wonder, how do you remain self-sufficient in the dark?”

One comment would raise an eye-brow. “Someone with skin as pale as yours showing it off in the sun? How peculiar.” She doubted it'd pair well, but who knew, perhaps she was wrong.

Upon being told more about the lizard-group, she nodded. “I believe I have hired them before, to deal with some bandits in my territory. Surprisingly useful folk, though a bit odd in their worship, from what I recall.”

“So, what made you go there, then?”
She'd ask Euthalia, after Shael told how most the group didn't like going into the Shade.

“It was a task given to me, of which the importance signified a great deal of trust in my capabilities. I did not wish to disappoint. Besides, challenging one's limits and going out of one's comfort zones can help improve one's capabilities rather vastly, or so I learned.” She would explain, hoping to impress, but not brag.

She would turn to Shael. “Of course, I had a great guide to help me, which made the whole journey a whole lot easier.” That said, she wanted to try turn the tables a bit. “Though, if you don't mind me asking, what made you wish to invite us to this bathhouse? Or, perhaps, what made you even wish to construct one to begin with?”

Finding themselves alone, in the same room as before, Islwyn would finally let go, though not without letting out a frustrated. “Ughrgh...” Noise. Then she took some deep breaths. Turning to Nikita and realising she'd been a tad rough. “Right... sorry. That just went way worse than I hoped. I hoped I could keep trying to subtly back Euthalia up all the way through. Not... not this.” She shook her head. “That's our fault though. We shouldn't have brought you along.” The words might be harsh, but she believed them. Nice as the Human was, she'd clearly not been ready for this. “I need a drink...”

Keone Nagendra

The snake seemed to be over it a lot easier. “What's done is done. Let's find some place to bath. I want the warmth.” She'd state, her tail swishing around impatiently. Flicking back and forth in annoyance.

Stopping for a long moment wasn't exactly smart when you were highly pressed on time. “Wha..?” She reacted, confused at being scooped up and... held like a sack of potatoes. This was not the muscular hunk of a guy or mountain of a woman she wanted to be scooped up by. Nor was it the heroic princes-carry rescue she'd wished for. Yet it was the rescue she needed.

As Asahi was running, one of her pursuers caught up.

“You really think a mere Human can outrun me?” He'd shout. Having broke free form the ice and rushing at Asahi.

“Paths of ice... freeze thine way!” Asahi could hear some chanting, as the path behind him switched into a slippery path of ice, causing the pursuer to slow down in order to abstain from slipping and falling.

“Go left here! Left!” She called, her tail swatting him in the face as she'd been picked up with her face facing backwards and her tail pointing forwards. “Wait, no, that's my left, your right! Right!” She quickly corrected herself.

It seemed like Asahi's been sent right towards a fast flowing river. “Cold of winter, ice of the north, be my bridge over troubled waters!” She'd chant, as a bridge of ice would form, able to lead them across. “Quickly, quickly. Before they catch up!” He might be able to get her plan right now.
