1886 Paris, France

Almost Forty-Six Years after the French Industrial Revolution. The Parisians have finally figured out what they could do with modern tech of the time. People started to make glorious machines like trains and engines and so much more but, the French government outlawed anything and everything that did not have the Government's consent. This has lead to people to invent and engineer underground and underneath the Government's nose. However there were so many people it was so unorganized and, chaotic that underground engineers, inventors and, others made an alliance called The Order. This was a community that organized everything keeping the people safe and providing items like materials and currency to fund their inventions forming a new Government for people to invent in peace. People involved in the Order have decided to make sub-units or groups to get more work done with more men and women on the teams to provide for everything the project may need. This is were you come in will you join a group, invent alone or, do you have some other plan, it's up for you to decide? What are you waiting for, get out there and go!

Jekkel was taking a lovely stroll through the streets of France. He could hear the sound of horses and carriages not to mention the loud people of France. There has been a commotion on that same day. Jekkel walked by the bank to see that it had been demolished, Reduced to rubble. There appeared to be some form of tracks by the bank, And the rubble had scorch marks but not from fire no this looked like the mysterious power of Electricity. "This will not help the looks of the order," Jekkel thought to himself. There were mobs around the bank, Shouting like mad mean "This is all because of those loons who work on those contraptions!" This was all happening while the French government tried to calm everyone down. "Such a pity, People abusing the power of Machines" Jekkel kept strolling pretending he saw nothing but he could still not get the thought out of his mind "Those Scorch marks look familiar but were have I seen them before" But Jekkel could not put his finger on it. After his stroll, he ended up at a small manor. This was his manner of course after all he was sons to one of the Richest people in France. He put the key in the lock and opened the door, He was greeted with the smell of tea and a Butler, "Hello Sir, May I Take your coat" Asked the butler. Jekkel looked at the butler "No but you can pour me a cup of tea if you don't mind?" the butler replied yet again "Right away Sir" and he speedily walked away to get his master some tea. Jekkel put his coat and hat on the rack next to the door. He walked into the living room and was warmed by a lovely fire. Jekkel sat in his favorite armchair which was rather close to the fire "Nice and cozy' He thought to himself right after thinking so his butler came back with a cup of tea "Thank you Albert" Jekkel gracefully took the cup and took a sip and stared into the fire.

Rex was walking through town when he noticed when he saw the destroyed bank. This is differently not going to look good for the order if this was done by a steam power machine or something like it... Rex thought sighing to himself before moving on. Rex had just finished helping a member of the order move some of their inventions to a knew location. Now Rex wanted to take a break. Then he remembered another member of the order lived in manor lived by, Jekkel. It would be nice to hear what he been working on... And maybe get something to drink as well... Rex thought to himself as he walked to Jekkel's manor and knocked on the door.

As Jekkel stared into the fire he heard a noise at the door it was a knock "Hmm he didn't use the doorbell" Jekkel thought to himself. Right after think so his butler Albert answered the door. The Bulter looked at the man on Jekkel's Doorstep "Is the master expecting you my fine sir" Jekkel was curious who the man standing outside his door was. Jekkel slowly got out of his chair and looked down the hallway. Ah It was Rex, You see Rex was one the members in the order, and they were pretty good friends "Ah Rex how do you do, come in come in" Jekkel made a waving motion to himself. "I think I'll go make us a drink" But before Jekkel could move Albert was already off to it "I got It sir" He replied. Jekkel looked watched his butler to the Kitchen "Thanks, Albert" Jekkel replied. "So what is a man doing here on this particular gloomy day, and by the way there is a doorbell"

"I was in the area after helping Dr.Mason move his inventions and tools to a new lab. He got nice open big building. He is differently makeing somthing big " Rex said walking into the manor. And I a little thirsty after helping moving several boxs of gears and bronzes plates... Rex thought to himself. "Also I prefer knocking myself. It's more or less a habit of mine" Rex added taking his coat and hat off and hanging them up. "Did you see the destroyed bank near by? Doesn't bold well for the order's image".

"As of a matter of fact I did and you are right this won't help out the order" Jekkel saw Albert bring back the drinks "Thank you" Albert also gave one to Rex. Let's move somewhere more private follow me" Jekkel walked over to a display of plates and turned one upside down. "Albert I'll be in, you know where if you need me" As he flipped it upside down it revealed a stairwell going under the fireplace. Jekkel approached the stairwell quickly "Don't get burned" Jekkel said to Rex. As they made it to the bottom of the stairs there was another door "You have seen my lab before correct"

Rex was drinking his drink as they made it down the stair case. Don't get burned... It seems like he says this every time I visit his lab... I wonder why he put a stair case under a fire place... Well it one of the last place the government would look for stair I guess... Rex thought as they made it to the door at the bottom of the steps. "I have but it been awhile. I curious to see what your working on. I have high hopes to ever it is" Rex added smiling taking another sip of his drink.

Jekkel approached the door there were about 5 locks on the door "One moment" Jekkel pulled out a key ring it had about 10 different keys including the one his parents left behind for him. He glanced at the key but quickly found all the other keys he needed. It took about two minutes but he managed to open it. "Welcome to my lab, do me a favor and don't spill your drink," He said jokingly. There was a bunch of assorted gadgets. There was an odd looking machine on wheels "Oh this is one of my favourites I call it the machine to get you places or M.T.G.Y.P for short. I can't really ride this anywhere so I'm Turning one of these into a horse but that's not done yet." Jekkel looked around some more goodies to show Rex "Here are my weapons, I only have made three but I'll make more later. I have some less important devise's elsewhere but the last thing I need to show you is a blueprint." Jekkel ran back to another room and brought out a pig blue piece of paper and presented it to Rex "I call this the Eiffel tower, This is for collecting electricity and I will be one of the only Inventors to harvest this wonderful energy. " Jekkel got really gitty telling Rex this "But you can not tell anyone about this right here this is the most important blueprint I have every made.

Rex impressed and studied the machines as they explored the lab. Once Jekkel brot out the blue prints Rex was simply stuned. "This is somthing big... Somthing huge... How do plan on even building this thing without being caught by the government?" Rex asked curious and slightly worried. Then Rex thought for a moment and smiled. "But if you mange to make it could deffiently put you in the history books... Need any help with it?" Rex added.

"Of course, I need help with it I need a lot of people to help on this project. The government has allowed people to make art, for example, the statue of liberty, France shipped that to America just a couple of months ago so I was planning if we turned this into something that looked like art but was still functional we would be in the clear." Jekkel was walking back and forth he was so happy. "I sure hope I can find the right people and you are one of those people now" Jekkel looked back up the stairway after his stomach growled Jekkel was particular hungry at the moment "Now let's go back up to the house before we get caught. you never know who might make an unexpected visit plus I'm Starving" Jekkel started to climb back up the staircase and sat back down into his armchair "Albert should be done with dinner soon if you want to stay"

"Making it a look like a piece of art... Just what I would expect from an inventor like you." Rex said smiling and knoding. "If it no trouble I'll stay for dinner." Rex added with a small grumble from his bell. I did skip lunch helping moves those boxs early... So what ever Alfred is surving I'll eat... Rex thought as he finished his drink and headed up the stairs . "Jekkel I'm wondering something why do you have locks on a door that accessed from a secret stair case?" Rex said looking at the many locks on the door.

"you can never be too careful" Jekkel was about to eat his hand if he did not get food soon "Albert When is dinner and what are we eating?" It took a minute for Albert to reply "We are having Pork, corn, beans and Veronese red wine 1772." Jekkel's stomach gave another growl at the sound of this "Sounds great. Come the table is already set we just need the food" Jekkel sat at the head of the dining room table. After of 5 minutes of waiting for the food it came out of the kitchen and onto the table. Jekkel thanked Albert, He got himself a medium size piece of pork, beans and corn, He also poured himself some Wine. Jekkel started to eat slowly even though he was starving but he still used his manners for he was raised by a rich man. Jekkel took a sip of his wine "Good year, good year"

Rex shrugged. Its a good answer as any I guess... Rex thought walking to the table. Rex mouths watered looking at the food. "Thanks Albert" Rex said before pouring himself a little bit of wine and grabbed some food for his plate. Rex ate with not as much manners as a usual gentlemen but not savagely. "It was good year as any other but I'm not much of a wine taster" Rex commented after drinking a little of the wine.

"I think it tastes better than Beer or rum, In my opinion," Jekkel tried to think of something to talk about "How's the family," He said while slicing up his pork, and taking another sip of wine.

"Well my parents are testing a few inventions in Africa. Or what they like to call "a vacation". Well the saying is if do what you love for a living you never work a day in your life." Rex said before finish a glass of wine and ported himself another glass. "And my fiancé... Former fiancé left last week after I caught her cheating on me... With a women" Rex added in a sadden tone before drinking more of the wine.


(He is a only child with two parents and probly a few other reltives. And he used to have a fiancé, his soon to be wife, but that didn't pan out as he just said)

"Oh that's Women for you, That's why I'm not going to marry." (5 Minutes later he will probably find a crush lol) "Well to bad your Fiance cheated on you" Jekkel gave a small belch "Excuse me. Well, I was thinking I should go pick up some parts at the black market." Jekkel got out of his chair slowly and walked to the door. He put on his top hat and his trench coat. He opened his drawer to pull out a normal revolver and put it into a holster. "Come on consider this a treat, getting to see a master barter in action.

"Master barter? Ill wait to see you in action before I call you a master" Rex said finishing his glass of wine. Then he got up and headed to the door. Then he grabbed his hat and coat and put them on. He then he looked in his suitcase he always had with him and checked to make sure he had his shotguns and glove in it. "Well I'm ready when you are." Rex added.

"Then lets go" Jekkel opened the and walked outside only to close the door behind him. "Smell that fresh air, I mean it has a little bit of smoke form the factories but you get use to it." Jekkel walked down the stars to a dirt path that led To some Briliant looking horses. "Let's ride" Jekkel wipped his wipe and the horse was racing Down the road. After a long bumpy ride they made it to the shops. "I wonder, I bet you 30 (French currency) that you can't find the market by your self."

Rex smiled as he got on a horse and followed Jekkel down the bumpy road. Then when they got to shops Rex listened close to Jekkel bet. "50 and you got a deal" Rex said smirking. I've been to many of the black market shops in town during errands for my parents and other order inventors. This will be easy... Rex thought to himself as he started looking around.

"You have yourself a deal mate" Jekkel dismounted his horse "This guy might give me a discount if we are lucky" Jekkel walked to the general area of the market. "Now find it"

"You mean John over there" Rex said pointing a man running what looked like a simple pon shop. "I'm came here last week to get some materials for Dr.Mason. I was able to get a bargain by giving him some toys for his kids" Rex said smirking and starting to walk over to the John's "pon shop".

Jekkel glanced over to the shop thatRex was pointing to "Well John has a fine selection but he does not have a power source that I'm looking for, Try again. Here is a hint the shop is a little more hidden than that." Jekkel looked around the area a little more, he glanced at an ally way but quickly looked away.

"Ohh the other one in this area. I never been in his store before but different members told me about him and that to get to him through one of the allies... Ill geuss that one" Rex said pointing at the ally Jekkel glanced at earlier. "So do I get 50 francs or was it one of the other allys" Rex said not surtin which ally it was .
