The planet Er'Kit looked beautiful from far away. Peaceful. Bright. And yet Amras Von well knew the chaos that lay on the surface of Er'Kit, for it was a planet of rogues and mercenaries and killers for hire, and such a place only held destruction and death. Most would be hard pressed to find a single decent person there, but in reality, they existed everywhere. Amras had picked up many of his people from the most surprising of places, and most hadn’t let him down yet.

The Renegades were free. Amras certainly maintained rules and orders, but his renegades were free to carry them out they way they thought best, and they were free to leave whenever they wished. Could the Separatists offer that? Could the Republic?

Shona Aa'ri, Amras' coleader and only trusted companion, entered his meticulously tidy cockpit and watched with him for a moment as the bright orange planet grew closer and closer. "What is your goal for this place, Amras?" she asked him. She liked him to have an intentional goal for everything he did, every place he visited.

“We need to recruit.” His voice was deep and steady, as usual. “Let our people recruit however they feel they should, whatever it takes to get the strongest and the best, but let’s try not to start a battle. We’re here to gain men, not lose them.”

Shona nodded in approval. She had been there during Amras' greatest failures, and had seen him grow past them. Something great was on the horizon, and she and Amras could both feel it. It was about time both the Republic and Separatists tangibly felt the anger of the common people across the galaxy.

Anakin Skywalker | Er'Kit Airspace | Tagging: Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Clones

A definite disturbance in the Force surrounded the desert planet of Er'Kit, and it seemed to be more than just usual tension before a mission or the presence of Separatists. Anakin tried not to think about how this disturbance could be an indicator that Padmé was, indeed, in danger. He trusted her to act prudently in a dangerous situation, but still, the Republic gunship couldn't land fast enough for him. If Senator Undulli had told the truth, Anakin didn't want his wife spending time with a shady person one second longer than she had to.

Glancing at the others aboard the ship and hoping they couldn't pick up on his internal dissonance, he tried to distract himself by talking about the mission. "We'll be landing near a city, sort of the main hub of this area," he explained. "Maybe we should split up into groups of two or three once we're there and see if we can find anything suspicious."

Obi-Wan smiled at his old apprentice. He has come quite a long way from when he was racing a speeder on tattoine. "Great idea Anakin. You take Ahsoka, and I'll take Commander Red here." He gestured over to the clone commander standing in the gunship with them. "we will take the east bend of the city and move north. You take the west and move north likewise." Red nodded in approval of the plan.

Grievous looked at the holo table as the alarms went off with the republic closing in on the city. He grunted frustrated. he looked over to his droid commander. "Commander, begin firing at those gunships." he ordered. one of the mega guards came up to him. he turned toward it. "Did you find the Senator?" he asked the droid shook its head. Grievous shoved the droid's plating aside. "Then why are you here!!! Find her and don't come back unless you have her!!!!!" he ordered

Nyino walked the halls of the senate building he missed his dear friend Padmé. though he assumed she was on another dangerous mission no doubt. He looked over his documents on what was going to be debated this time around in the senate.

Amras Von | Renegade Leader | Er'Kit | Tagging: Shona, Padme.

The plan was simple. Take care, don't let yourself be too well discovered, but go out and recruit and gather whatever else you can, whether it be ammo, guns, food, or other supplies. His only specification was to not cause a ruckus and to not get anyone killed since this was a simple mission for the Renegades, but he also understood some things could happen.

Like a Separatist ambush.

Amras hadn't been aware of them until he received word from one of the first Renegades to have landed on the planet, Rika Ellan, that they were firing on some gunships that had entered the atmosphere, though she hadn't been able to positively identify the origin of the gunships just yet. As it was unlikely the Separatists would be firing on their own ships or some random ships that entered the planet considering this place was a hive of villainy anyway and considering that he didn't bring any gunships with him, Amras could only assume it was the Republic come to retrieve their Senator. Somehow they figured out she was here. Did they know about the meeting? About the plans?

Unfortunate, this, but it wasn't terribly surprising since no doubt they wished to recover exactly what he was after; what the Senator now had in her possession and what was making her one of the most wanted people in the galaxy right now. Besides him, of course. It seemed neither side liked what they couldn't control and he refused to bow down to either of them and surrender. Amras would have rather died. Anyhow, it was now necessary to carry their plans faster.

Just before leaving for the 'meeting', Amras turned to Shona. His second, his most trusted warrior, and his friend. 'Send word for the Renegades to keep low. It's not safe in the air just now for them to return to the ship, so keep them out of the fighting as much as possible. I know plenty of them would like to run straight into it the moment they can. I would have had you with me at the meeting but now I need you on the ground keeping things in check and acting as their leader should things go wrong." For a brief moment, he rested his hand upon her shoulder. "I trust you to take care of them."

And then he left. This would have to be done quickly and precisely. Amras knew he was taking a risk with finally exposing his face to the public, though Padme would not know who he was, but he had to be the one to do this. It was too important to be left in the hands of anyone else.

Ahsoka Tano | Er'Kit Airspace | Tagging: Anakin, Obi-Wan, Red.

Ahsoka had been opening her mouth to agree with Obi-Wan when the ship lurched and heavy gunfire began shooting past them. "What was that?" She shouted out, retaining her balance as the ship rocked again and began taking great swerves to dodge. "How would they already know we were here? Blasted traitorous Senator! I knew this was a trap!"

Perhaps that was an unfair assessment. Given the planet they were on, it could have been any scummy person who decided to fire at them for fun but she hadn't trusted Senator Unduli as soon as she learned that he was a Republic turncoat, despite him having insisted he only wanted the Separatists and the Republic to work together just to get rid of the Renegades. They were a danger to everyone, he had said, and if the two sides could come to together even just long enough to get past this... Bah! Ahsoka had been suspicious of him this whole time and now she was believing herself to have been right to feel that way. At least it was exciting...

This would change things. Somehow managing to keep her mouth shut for now, since there would be time to curse the Senator if they all survived this, Ahsoka turned to look at Anakin to see what he would say and suggest on the matter. They hadn't brought enough people to fight a whole bloody army but someone had to go after Padme.

Ash waited for his Renegade leader on the ground near a unnoticed landing pad. he was leaning up against some crates when the shooting started. 'what the heck!?!' he said in his mind he moved over to get a better view of what was going on. 'Dang republic always getting involved in everything' He radioed Amras Von
"hey boss we got a problem down here if you haven't already seen." he paused for a moment noticing some battle droids heading toward the republic gunships. "are we still following the plan boss? or is there a change?" he asked.

"Well this should be fun" Obi-Wan smiled pulling out his lightsaber ready to turn it on once they land. Red checked his ammo on his blaster. "killing more clankers is always fun general." Red joked.
"Pilot! what is out ETA for touchdown?" Obi-Wan asked
"two minutes sir!" the pilot replied. Obi-Wan then looked at Anakin and Ahsoka "Not all senators Ahsoka can be trusted. you should learn that quick."

Shona Aari | Surface of Er'Kit | Tagging: Ash, Rika

Shona couldn't help worrying about Amras after he insisted on going alone to his "meeting" with the Senator. She trusted him, and understood why it made more sense for him to do this alone, but her worry was like that of an older sister. There were so many variables; anything could go wrong. Such as a random and unexpected Separatist attack.

When the roars of gunship engines sounded in the atmosphere above, a feeling of dread settled in the pit of her stomach. The Republic presence had been expected, but the Separatists? It bothered her that they somehow must have known that the Renegades, or the Jedi, were here. This unexpected turn of events could really throw a wrench in her and Amras' carefully thought-out plans.

She took a deep breath and tried to relax her tensing muscles. Masking her fear was one thing she had always been good at, and the other Renegades would need her to be strong right about now. The goal was to keep everyone hidden. Avoid confrontation with the Separatists.

Approaching the landing pad where some of the group members were hiding, she observed Ash on his comlink, desperately trying to contact Amras. "He just went into his meeting with the Senator. He'll be unresponsive over the comm for a while," she explained. "We're not going to let those Separatists ruin our plans. I need both of you to help me find anyone else in our group and get them to safety. We can't afford to be wiped out and have to start over."

Anakin Skywalker | Er'Kit Airspace | Tagging: Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Red, other clones

Anakin almost smiled at Obi-Wan and Red's remarks. Almost. Normally he was all about trying to lighten the mood in these tense battle situations, but it stressed him out to not be behind the controls of the ship. Besides, the chance of Padmé being in danger had just gotten higher.

And as for the Separatist senator.... there was no time to worry about that now. He was a Separatist, which automatically put him in the "sleemo" category in Anakin's mind. Count Dooku, Nute Gunray, Heiss Undulli, they were all the same. It would soon be time to find out if the Senator was actually telling the truth about Amras Von. Anakin had trusted him that much, so it wasn't too surprising that this information came with a price: a trap.

"Not too surprising," he said to the others in the ship, "but it looks like our only choice is to spring the trap." This time he was able to smirk a bit at Obi-Wan, since the two of them had sprung many traps together during the course of this war.

Turbulence and gunfire made the ship shake violently, but Anakin made his way up to the cockpit to instruct the pilot. "We need to try to land, but we can't risk the Separatists following us into Amras Von's hideout. Take me in as close as you can. I can jump out early if you can't land completely."

Representative Eletha Rosach | Coruscant Senate District | Tagging: Heiss, Nyino, Anaya

Eletha sat outside the office of Senator Heiss Undulli with the other Senators, feeling tense about this meeting they were about to have, but optimistic. She had only heard a little bit about this "Forsaken Renegades" group- Senator Undulli probably knew much more about it than her. But if they were enough trouble to cause a Separatist senator to reach out to Republic senators, perhaps that had an upside. Perhaps that meant that more bipartisan negotiations would start to happen from now on. And that, in her mind, was the only real way to stop this terrible war.

However, she wished her mentor, Senator Mothma, was here. Being young and inexperienced, she didn't feel equipped to handle a potentially delicate meeting like this. How could she meet with someone who had very different views than her, and not feel trampled on by them, while still being polite and accommodating?

As she waited outside Undulli's office, she politely greeted the other Senators, hoping they couldn't spot her nervousness. People already looked down on her for being so young. But she reminded herself that Senator Amidala of Naboo was the queen when she was only fourteen, and she was one of the most beloved Queens of Naboo. As tough as it was being a representative at age nineteen, Eletha was glad that at least she never had that much responsibility when she was younger.

Heiss Unduli | Separatist Senator | Coruscant Senate District | Tagging: No one, mention of Senators

Heiss hadn't exactly expected consistent updates about the Jedi's mission, especially since he wasn't even a Republic senator anymore, but he wished he could know what was happening. Honestly, he hadn't even had a way to be 100% certain that the Renegades were even there but it was the closest he had managed to get to tracking them and he wasn't willing to let the chance slip through his fingers, despite the risk. If it ended well and he had been right... perhaps he would be able to negotiate a temporary truce between the two sides in order to rid themselves of the Renegades, a plague to both sides. He understood the Republic. Therein lay his advantage, but his disadvantage was that he was viewed as a traitor by many and so he wasn't sure how this would all end. Ideally, it would end in peace since Amras was a pacifist at heart.

Soon the Republic senators would be coming. As Heiss paced the temporary office he had been given, he was unaware that some of the senators were already gathering outside his door. He'd spent most of the night preparing which was evident by the circles under his eyes, but even so. It felt like he was about to face a den of angry rancors with no backup and no weapons, and should anything go wrong then surely he would be ripped to shreds.

But ah, the thought of peace! The hope alone comforted him, however unlikely it was. This war had already gone on too long and too many had already been lost.

"roger that boss." Ash said over the comm as he tried to wave to the others to stay close and stay hidden until their leader landed on the pad. He had a bad feeling that something was going to go wrong but he tried to stay optamistic and keep his head focused on the task at hand.

"Yes General!" the pilot acknowledged and lowered the gunship closer to the ground. the shield doors opened so Anakin can jump out. Obi-Wan nodded his head in agreement of Anakin's plan.
"I'll keep the droids busy with the clones, you and Ahsoka go to the meeting and find Padme" he stated.
"Good luck out there, Sir" Red acknowledged as he waited for them to drop.

Grievous paced back and forth waiting to hear from his commanders. He heard about this meeting with the Republic and the Renegade force that has been a pain in his circuits for some time now. One of the droid commanders came up to him.
"Sir, there is a ship coming in from the east it has no markings. it is landing on pad D-47" Grievous turned to his assassin droids. "Go find out if this is the ship!" he ordered and watched as they left.

Nyino smiled at his young friend Eletha. he placed an hand on her shoulder. "Relax," he said with a smile. "you will do fine." he tried to reassure her. but in all honesty he didn't know what to think about this Heiss, traitors are traitors and shouldn't be trusted, but he had an obligation to listen to what he had to say.

Anaya did not like this at all. It is bad enough they were fighting a war against these separatist traitors now they had third party terrorist to deal with. What was worse the senate chose to send one of our own to this meeting with the terrorist which was an obvious trap. Wasting resources needed for the war to negotiate rather than using the meeting to set a trap of their own. What she was more angry was that she hadnt volunteered to herself, she could have dome the deed herself and at least help protect one of the best senators they had.

She walked into the meeting area of one of the traitor senators, she wore a long flowing blue and gold dress evening dress. Unless good sense or utility required her otherwise, she always wanted to look her best as her appearance was an asset she often had to use. He wasnt sure why she was called here or why this traitor was still on Curescant as free man. She was tempted to make use of her holdout blaster hidden in her dress tonight's. She surveyed the senator, most she knew but only one or two she liked. She approached Elatha and Nyino.

"Good evening." She greeted the pair. "Do you know what this traitor wants?"

Padme Amidala / Senator of Naboo / Landing Pad of Er'Kit? / Tagging: Amras Von

Senator Padme Amidala arrived on the planet Er'Kit with mixed emotions. She wasn't exactly sure how this meeting with Balian Curth would go. She had never met the man - and never even saw his face. Yet, Padme had to keep her cool - for she was representing the Republic, and an alliance of two nations.

If she only knew who she was going to become the ally of...

Padme took a deep, calming breath and let it out. She could do this: it's not as if it is the first time she's formed an alliance with another nation. She plastered a confident smile on her face and walked, followed by her guards, to where she was supposed to meet Balian.

An alliance was soon to form...

Anakin Skywalker | Er'Kit Airspace | Tagging: Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Red

Anakin couldn't help but feel a bit surprised that Obi-Wan had agreed with his plan so readily. When he was a Padawan, finding a plan that both he and Obi-Wan liked was a rare occurrence. Was the Jedi Master, perhaps, becoming a little more lenient? Or was the war just making everyone desperate for any sort of action?

At any rate, he was glad to be able to get to the meeting himself. He felt a strong need to see Padmé personally, find out for himself that she was all right. It would be a good thing to have Ahsoka by his side as well.

"All right, Snips, you ready for an emergency dismount?" he said with a slight grin. "I think this is about as low to the ground as we'll get. Wait for my signal..." He closed his eyes for a second, using the Force to get a feel for the environment, until after a few seconds he sensed an opening. "Jump!"

No sooner had he said the word and jumped out himself, when a sudden blast to the ship caused it to shake violently. Was that damage to the wing? He was moving too fast to tell the extent of the damage.

Hopefully Ahsoka would either jump at the right time, or stay with the ship, as its path was becoming much less predictable. Anakin wondered if Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and the few clone troopers on board would be able to handle whomever was on that Separatist gunship. They were all competent fighters and Anakin trusted them, but they were a small group. He felt rather torn leaving his friends to go after Padmé like this, but someone had to go find her.

(OOC: I won't have him enter the meeting between Amras and Padmé until it has progressed enough.)

Eletha Rosach | Representative of Chandrila | Outside Heiss Undulli's Office | Tagging: Anaya, Nyino

Eletha smiled at Senator Nyino's kind remarks, but they also created some worry in her. Was her face that readable? Could everyone tell she was nervous? She took a deep breath and tried to relax. It didn't do well to look weak in front of other Senators- even if, as in Nyino's case, they were nice to her about it.

She couldn't help cringing a bit when Senator Anaya referred to Senator Undulli as a "traitor." One could technically argue that the mere act of siding with people who wanted to secede from the Republic was treasonous. But Eletha didn't fully see it that way. She disagreed and felt it was wrong to side with the Separatists, but she also understood that other people simply had opposing views. Maybe they even just wanted a better Republic. While it was a good system of government, it wasn't perfect, after all. Ultimately, Eletha's deep desire was to see the Republic and the Separatists work together to make the system better. Maybe she was naive and idealistic to think that way, but that was her end goal.

"I don't know," she said carefully in response to Anaya. "I'm just hoping to understand where he's coming from during this meeting. I've observed a lot of bickering, and not much listening, in the Senate these days."

Nyino looked over to Senator Anaya "traitor or not Senator, I have to agree with Senator Eletha here." he paused for a second to compose himself in a way of understanding yet stern. "We should at least hear him out before we make any accusations about a fellow senator." Nyino waited to the doors to open and their meeting to start.

"We are hit!!! Brace for impact!!!" the pilot yelled as alarms and red light started to flicker in their gunship. Obi-Wan and Commander Red both braced themselves as they crashed landed. Obi- Wan immediately force pushed the doors slammed shut by the crash open so the troops that were not too terribly injured could get out. he turned on his light saber as he saw a group of battle droids coming their way.

Red looked around to see what troops were left. He had about ten but two were injured and un able to fight. "alright troopers you five get out there and help the general two two help these two get out of the ship!" he then went to see if the pilot was ok but noticed a blaster shot right into the chest of the pilot. He sighed but then moved out of the gunship to help Obi-Wan.

(Not sure how much time I'll have to finish posting with everyone so I'm going to post each character separately)

Ahsoka Tano | Er'Kit | Tagging: Anakin, Clones, Obi-Wan.

She was prepared to jump after her Master when the ship took a huge lurch and knocked her off balance, forcing her to step back to keep from falling, and by the time she recovered the ship was falling and they were too far away to jump. She braced for the impact of the ship hitting the ground and then immediately brought up her comm, contacting Anakin. 'Master! We were hit, I can't make it to you. There's too many clankers!" Already they were badly outnumbered since they hadn't prepared for a full Separatist ambush and now, even if she could make it out of here and up to Anakin, that would leave the Clones and Obi-Wan with one less fighter, and one less Jedi at that. A quick glance revealed that the only had about eight Clones still in fighting condition.

She ignited her lightsabers, glancing briefly at Obi-Wan. 'Afraid you're stuck with me, Master Kenobi," she called out. Anakin could handle himself. Hopefully, he'd hurry so they could get out of here, though she had no idea how exactly they were going to make it off of this planet with their ship so badly damaged. The situation wasn't looking so good.

Rika Ellan | Er'Kit | Tagging: Shona, Ash

The woman grimaced, tightening her grip on the pair of blasters she always carried. She'd left the sniper rifle back on the ship since she couldn't be lugging it around everywhere as well as her blasters. Not only did it look more conspicuous, but it also hindered her movements and she usually only took it if she felt strongly she would need it. Besides, the blasters were her specialty anyway.

The good news was that their leader had chosen only a very small amount of the Renegades to take with him and even if they were all wiped out, most of the Renegades would survive. The bad news was that if Shona and Amras should fall... well, Rika had a feeling that without those two the group would fall apart. Amras was the leader of it all but Rika had observed his reliance on the Twi'lek for many things -- not that she faulted him for that, she was sure he could operate alone if he needed to and it was good for him to refer to someone else for advice instead of leading the whole group like a dictator, and should he fall than people would look to Shona with trust, but if he lost her or she lost him.... Yeah, it still wouldn't be good.

People were fleeing the streets as the Separatist droids began to make their way through. Some of the extra drunk ones tried to put up a fight but were quickly subdued. and shot down "Damn..." she muttered to the other two. "Not sure how we're going to make it out of this one. Droids are bloody everywhere." They could just hide somewhere until it was over but Rika hoped it wouldn't come to that. Hell, it was only the fact that they were so outnumbered that she wasn't jumping into the fight immediately because she was itching for a good fight.

Heiss Unduli | Coruscant, Private Office |Tagging: Republic Senators.

It was time. There had been no knocks on the door, though, so they were all either late or they were waiting for him outside in which case he would feel rather bad for not having admitted them earlier. Heiss had been given a droid as an assistant but he suspected the droid didn't like him and was happy to ruin everything for him as much as possible so, instead of sending the droid to the door, Heiss went to check personally and found his suspicions confirmed. He couldn't let on about it though so he just smiled, bowed ever so slightly, and stepped aside to allow them through.

"Welcome, Senators," he said. "I am grateful for you all to have come so swiftly after my arrival and warning to the Republic Senate. Tell me, has there been any news of the Jedi's proceedings?"

Frankly, he doubted it. Word would have to travel to the Senate as well as the Jedi Council and it didn't seem likely that it would have happened already. By his calculations, the Jedi should have only arrived on the planet a short time ago. Besides, even if they did know what was going on there was no reason why they should feel it important to tell him since Heiss was very well aware that no one here would trust him very much. Not after what he'd done.

Arms crossed behind his back, Heiss headed back to the table and took his seat, nodding to the droid to bring them refreshments. The droid was obedient, for once. After all, these were Republic senators it was serving now.

Amras Von | Er'Kit | Tagging: Padme Amidala.

At least this part of his plan was going smoothly, so far. He saw the ship land and watched as the Senator began to make her ways towards the arranged meeting area, praying she would be unaware of the Separatists and that she wouldn't put up too much of a fight. Of course as far as she knew, he was here as a representative of a group from the planet Er'Kit who was looking to negotiate with the Republic, a man named Balian Curth, not Amras Von. A man looking for an alliance, not a man looking for victory. The only thing he had with this false alias of himself was that they both desired peace, only in different ways.

Though normally dressed impeccably, Amras had changed his robes out for a more tattered tunic and cloak, and the blaster was not concealed well beneath it. This he had done on purpose. Balian Curth was no more a man to take advantage of than Amras Von, only Balian was sloppier in his approaches. He wanted the Senator to think that he thought he was threatening and yet he didn't want her to think of him as too much of a threat for, though he had never met the Senator personally before, she had quite the reputation and he knew she was not one easily frightened away by a simple blaster. Mind games. It was all mind games. In the end, he would have what he wanted and she would be dead.

Padme Amidala | Er'Kit | Tagging: Amras Von

Padme always tried to look as professional as possible, so she politely turned down the offers for her to be seated during her wait. If this Balian Curth was truly interested in forming an alliance with the Republic, Padme knew she wouldn't have to wait that long.

With eyes closed, she took another slow, deep breath. When her eyes opened, Padme hoped she didn't look as nervous as she secretly was. She had never been to this planet - and it was all very strange and new to the Senator. Hopefully, the meeting would commence soon, so that Padme could leave as soon as she arrived.

Anakin Skywalker | Er'Kit | Tagging: No one, mention of Jedi, Clones and Padmé

A presence in the Force, which had been strong a minute ago, suddenly dissipated into nothing. Anakin realized with dread that someone had been killed aboard the Republic Gunship, and he could see it crash land in the distance. Already he regretted leaving them; they were far outnumbered as it was, and Anakin knew they could have used his help. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were strong fighters, but could they manage against what appeared to practically be a small army?

He forced himself to keep his mind on his own mission, which was to find Padmé. Back on the Battle of Geonosis at the beginning of the war, Obi-Wan had reminded him how Padmé always pressed on and did her duty, even when she lost people she cared about. Those wise words from his mentor were the only thing that kept him grounded in situations like this.

The meeting between Padmé and this Balian Curth (whoever he was) was located in an office building in a small town, which was some distance away still. After checking his holomap, Anakin confirmed which direction he had to go, and it seemed to match up with a dark, but subtle, disturbance in the Force. Not wanting to waste any time, he took off at a run. Hopefully he could get to his wife before anything bad could happen to her.

Shona Aari | Forsaken Renegades Co-leader | Er'Kit | Tagging: Rika, Ash

Shona nodded in agreement with Rika, her jaw tensed as she studied the situation. A ship- which looked to be Republic- crash landed in the distance, surrounded by several Separatist ships hovering around it. "Good thing is, it doesn't look like they're after us right now," she explained to Ash and Rika. "They're clearly after that Republic ship, but if they find out we're here, we're next. And we're not ready to reveal ourselves to the Separatists yet. We have to lay low until this is over."

Unfortunately, leaving the planet was not an option. They had to be ready for Amras once he was done with the Senator. But she didn't like being out here in the middle of nowhere, so close to the Separatists. It felt so open, so exposed.

"Get in the speeder," she ordered the other two, jumping in the driver's seat and firing up the engines. "I'm deviating from the plan a little bit. We weren't supposed to go to the town, but that's a much better place to hide than here, where any ship flying by can see us."

Eletha Rosach | Representative of Chandrila | Coruscant Senate District | Tagging: Heiss, Nyino, Anaya

Eletha sensed something was off about Senator Unduli, but she couldn't identify what. His face and voice were polite enough, but there was some sort of energy exuding from him that made her uneasy. Whether it came from malice, or just tension between him and the other Senators, she couldn't be sure. All she knew was that she would get terribly nervous and distracted if she tried to over-analyze the Separatist senator, so she put the thought aside.

Instead, she smiled politely and accepted the refreshments in his office. "No, Senator Unduli, I haven't received any updates from the Jedi's mission or from Senator Amidala." She glanced around, curious if the other Senators had received anything. But no one here had direct connections with the Jedi Council, so they probably wouldn't be informed until later.

Amras Von | Er'Kit | Tagging: Padme Amidala

Amras, ever punctual, did not take long to arrive at the meeting area and bowed formally in the direction of the Senator. There was no time to drag this out for too long now, considering that both of his major enemies were present on the planet, but he couldn't rush in too quickly either and risk her getting away. "Sen'tor Am'dala," said he, his voice heavily accented in comparison to his actual tone. The scar on his face worked well with the disguise. "Thank ye fer comin', thought ye might not risk it wit' the war and everythin' and considerin' Er'Kit ain't nearby ye nowheres. Bit outta the way. Need a drink?"

On one hand, Amras shuddered at his own crude disguise and the way of speaking and dress, but on the other hand... well, it was all very entertaining. Stepping into the shoes of someone else wasn't something he got to do very often anymore and he found the risk strangely thrilling, considering he was never the kind of person to take risks unless necessary. But, as Balian Curth, he was able to be someone completely different and therefore he felt no guilt in enjoying the risk involved while he was playing a character of sorts. Pity there was no time to drag it out longer. Ah well. One must do what one must.

(I'll post with the others after the other Renegades and Senators have had a chance, as well as Obi-Wan.)

Padme looked up as a figure approached her. "Sen'tor Am'dala," he said, addressing her. "Thank ye fer comin', thought ye might not risk it wit' the war and everythin' and considerin' Er'Kit ain't nearby ye nowheres. Bit outta the way. Need a drink?"

Padme was relieved that she didn't have to wait long or wonder endlessly if he was coming. She shook her head politely.
"No, thank you. I had made arrangements as soon as I got word. I would never turn down an opportunity to forge an alliance with a new nation." She smiled brightly, studying Curth's face and body simultaneously.

This shouldn't be too hard. Padme thought to herself as she studied him. Looks nice enough. But one must not be deceived by appearances. Padme stood a little straighter.

Should she start the negotiations? Or would he? More questions buzzed in her head, but one was a bit more vivid than the others: Is Ani alright? Padme's shoulders tensed at the possibilities of danger that could overcome Anakin. She reassured herself that he was fine, and that they would see each other as soon as she left Er'Kit. It would all be okay.
