Fandom Star Wars: Renegade Squadron OOC

Characters
Here
Just gonna throw this out there: i sort of want someone from renegade squadron to have visited iridonia and helped with the fight there that basically encouraged/inspired milo to join the "central" rebellion, i guess you could call it
So if anyone wants to uhh volunteer their character to be the person she chatted with, feel free to c:

Neva could have helped supplied the Rebels/people fighting the Imperials there back in her ground side smuggling days? Not sure if the timeline works but we don't have to be that picky with it.

TYPE TYPE I’m working on my character, and found an interesting angle to add into the mix by making her Chiss. As you had already expressed in playing a Chiss, I was wondering if you were interested in collaborating on a shared history for the characters.
If you are not interested, I’ll go with a different option, no problem.

That's what happens when your organization has the word rebel in it and is commonly called the rebellion and when you are called rebels.

The Alliance to Restore the Republic, has a Civil Government. (Which too is a dictatorship by the way.) a currency and a High-Command to co-ordinate the Military affairs. It's far past being a disorganized group of loosely-affiliated and disorganized terrorist cells. You don't fight an Empire that is built up on a Military-Industrial complex through pure Anarchism. By joining up the 'Rebellion' one submits to an regimented authority the only difference between itself and the Empire being the idologies and methods defining them.

Rather than an inherent desire to rebel, It's more about the fact that the Empire is keen on enslaving and oppressing non-humans, using State Terror to enforce their will, exploiting the Outer Rim, Stagnation, constant militarization and general mismanagement and abuse by the Moffs who virtualy have almost complete authority over their territories are the main reasons why the Rebellion even exists. I'm sure most people would prefer A stable economy and protection of their livelyhood over joining up a bunch of terrorists who want to bring back a form of government that was also known to be very problematic, dicrimenatory and comperatively even more inefficient, if it wasn't for such misconduct by the existing authority.

… and then you got the drunks that just want to shoot shit.

And that is why we have a institution called the Court-Martial, thanks for listening to my TED-talk.

Depends on the context and the laws of the state to be fair, but I was talking about disobeying orders rather than disorderly conduct.

Naw. When your in the military you can "break laws" and get NJP'ed instead of court martial. Less serious and less paperwork for the military (atleast US). Disobeying an order would almost always be an NJP. Unless it was something super crazy. Although court matrials are far more likely to happen to officers I supposes. So yeah disobeying a command by an officer to an officer would probable be a court marital.

As I said, different states, different laws. Here in Turkey, It used to be that while your commanding officer did have the authority to reprimand you by his own accord to a certain degree, Even very minor infringements on orders could land one in a Court-Martial if the commanding officer was in a foul mood, which would likely result in an extension of the conscription period.

Yeah, they used to be a very hard, however Military Judiciary has been completely disbanded since the failed coup attempt, along with military academies and such which defanged the institution as a whole.

Tbh though, I'm just rambling. Doubt we'll ever need one in RP.

Just in case... I believe Rusty of Shackleford Rusty of Shackleford should brush up on his military laws. To include NJPs, Court martials, and the differing standards between officers, enlisted, CWOs, NCOs, and SNCOs.... you known just in case.

Im starting to feel underprepared lmao is a vast knowledge of military law required for this

I don't think it is required, we aren't really playing as the top dogs after all.

The Hutts are great employers unless you cross them, can't say the same for some other groups...

Heya, I been busy as hell with all manner of things, but I am very much still into this I will do my utmost to get that damn Chiss posted asap. GREEN-THREE out!
