That sounds fine. Although I'll kinda miss out on an opportunity to explore different character dynamics, this plan sounds more straight-forward and easier to follow while still including some time where our characters can interact before landing on XR34G9I'm a little confused by the four posts, tbh.
But regardless, I think I'm starting to feel like this could quickly be getting a bit complicated, and I have a secondary proposal.
We could always assume that the two months in question are only manned by a skeleton crew, and that most of the PCs are among those that stay in cryo until arriving at the planet.
So Basically Leadership (Which Mostly are just played by our DM, @Wolfiee and @Violetti) Would be awake and could discuss amongst themselves any character development that might occur at that time, and then, for the most part, the rest of us are free to let dynamics develop naturally when we're awoken from Cryo, already orbiting XR34G9, and basically getting down to brass tacks about prepping for planetfall.
While the Trekkie in me will miss the on-ship time, this seems like the most streamlined solution I can come up with, considering we have players that aren't going to feel engaged until immediately prior to planetfall.
(That said, if we go this route, I'd love to perhaps do a little off-screen brainstorming with Sanctuaryforall1 for Kennedy and Jacob, since they've probably at least had some correspondence prior to leaving Earth.)
