Chapter 1 - Breathe.
"Breathe, I need to run. To evade her attacks, she's hunting me down. The Sith Assassin, I feel my legs ache and burn with each stride, my lungs burn with every movement I make. I'm afraid. I'm lost and alone. She's going to kill me. I can't keep doing this.. But I need to breathe. Sweat clings to my robes and I'm exhausted, but I need to keep going. I'm losing balance, and I've begun to slow down. She can sense me, feel my fear.. But I need to breathe."
Torren is stranded on the planet of Kashyyyk. Unable to acquire the help of the natives of the world, he is truly alone in his attempt to run from the Sith Assassin that slaughtered his Master. Now chasing him to finish what was started. He aches all over but he continues to push on. It is night-time, and the forest floor of Kashyyyk is hard to traverse, his ship was docked a few miles out, whereupon lies his ticket off the planet. Torren hears the screech, that ear-peircing, metallic screech of the Sith Assassin. Her helmet hid her face behind a mask that shook Torren to his core, and he dared not to look behind him lest he see that helmet in the darkness of the forest."Breathe, I need to run.
The only thing Torren heard other than his hefty panting, was the "whirr" of a lightsaber being thrown at him, he yelped and ducked. A double-bladed lightsaber cracked into a tree nearby, and the Sith Assassin had finally caught up to him. Sending out a storm of Force Lightning at Torren he rolled, igniting his lightsaber and blocked the Force Lightning. The immense pressure of that power pressed him up against a few boulders, yelling out as he tried pushing the arcs of lightning back at his pursuer. She would get closer, and closer until she pulled her lightsaber out of the tree.
The arcs of lightning dispersed, but what met the tired Jedi outcast was now a bolt of red light, whizzing into his face he parried, thrusting the lightsaber away from him as he backflipped away from the Assassin. Her metallic screech yet again ringing in his ears, this one a battle cry as she continued to clash with his lightsaber again and again in a flurry of combos. Torren could only settle for being on the defensive, parrying and blocking the blows as best he could in the cramped forest area they were fighting in. She caught an opening, slicing at his thigh with the other side of her lightsaber, which forced Torren to bend his knee down in pain, here and now she rushed her lightsaber towards his face to cut his head off, but Torren turned to the offensive now. Thrusting his left hand out towards her stomach, Torren shot an immense pressured force blast into her and forcing the Assassin to slam straight into one of the trees, the amount of force from the push cracked the tree and fell down.It was time to run once more for Torren, powering down his lightsaber he forced himself up and began to ran once again, huffing out each time he thrust his legs out to meet the multiple upturned roots that greeted him. Then he felt it, a force push in return that sent him diving to the floor, face first into the ground he then heard a leap from afar, she was intending to slam right down ontop of him and finish the job. He turned on his back and ignited his lightsaber to clash against her yet again. This time she was overpowering him, pressing down against him with all her might. Torren could feel the burn of her lightsaber come in contact with his arm, then he felt the sting and pain of the lightsaber pressing into his flesh.
"GAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" Torren yelled out, headbutting the Assassin's mask with enough force to crack the visor. A distraction that allowed Torren to kick her off him fully, he slid up from the ground and began to grab a multitude of items from all around with the force; trees, boulders, vines, and bushes to then throw them all at her with such ferocity. Entrapping her inside a cocoon of rubble. It would keep her down for now and gave Torren another chance to escape. While limping away from the battle, Torren slipped from a root on the ground and began to plummet down a hill, crashing against the ground every few seconds.
A hard slam knocked the wind out of Torren. Wheezing, he began to crawl away, to find a place to hide until he could recover from the damage he had already acquired.. A cave, a place to hide! A place to heal.. He crawled desperately inside the cave, hiding deep within it to ensure the Assassin would think twice before checking it out to see if he was inside. From there, Torren laid his head against the rocky insides of the cavern. It was time to breathe, to focus.
