I think we got a surprising amount of versatility given that the single bladed lightsaber was the most common.

Dual phase is useful, but its usefulness to a jedi is limited once the secret is revealed.

Standard sword tactics do lend credence to the single blade being most effective in sheer variety of situations jedi find themselves in. Close and long quarters.

And the amount of training it takes for a one to use a lightsaber means they cant switch it up and still be as effective.

While range is an important thing, the hilt is the lightsabers greatest weakness. Even when coated in beskar or cortosis, a direct hit will still destroy it. The longer the hilt, the greater target it becomes.

Dual lightsabers, while seemingly great, rely a lot on the cutting power of the lightsaber, since you cant put as much leverage or strength into either one as you could holding a single blade two handed.

I will say though, I'm high tempted to give a sith char a cross hilt lightsaber. Despite it being a disney creation, I do love the design.

Also this one is really cool too.

Well, technically a beskar hilt, like phriik, or rancor bone, and a few other could take a few hits or more. In fact, the guard saber is why theseare a thing. Hilts literally built to tank lightsaber blows.

Direct hit I mean full strength chop, or full point thrust. The sort of attacks meant to break defenses.

Which I would actually agree with for just about every build.... except for the saber-pikes and the guard sabers. Which were bilt for the defensize, non-saber blade defenses.

I'd agree with that too. As the reason could be they dont have to worry about innards as much as normal lightsaber hilts would.

Zen needs no silly lightsaber gimmicks like multi-blade or flying.

She got the dark side man

That's all the variety a real sith will ever need

That is why during the creation of the lightsaber, one should also be channeling Force Weapon like the swords of the jed'aii order before the advent of the force saber and protosaber.

Okay, I typed up a really quick bio just to say Amatiel is finished, but I'll still be continuing the stupidly long one in my spare time

Please don't. Or if you do, please leave an easy to read TL ; DR.

While you're exuberance is congratulated, I can not quite invest in character novels when I have a lot of info I have to juggle already.

It's mostly for my own pleasure anyways, just to help me flesh out her story up to this point. It'll stay tucked away in those tabs and won't really be important for anyone to read unless they want to. Well bits of it might be important for Kittani and her relationship, but I'll probably discus those before I put them in.

D. Rex D. Rex what do you think would be a good balancing effect for the extra power a cracked kyber crystal would provide? (Not trying to be passive aggressive here)

None. Why would a damaged crystal provide more power? If so, wouldnt jedi and sith everywhere be pounding their crystals with a hammer? Crystal's also are the focus, not the power. So a broken crystal would produce a pretty unstable blade.

And again, a powerful lightsaber wont help you in any means. The only effects lightsaber properties have is how cool it looks when using it in combat. As well as how you use them.

I dont recall for sure but I believe someone was saying we will start on december 2nd? If so, what time would we be doing that

We will be starting tomorrow, yes. In some fashion.

I'll need to write out some guidelines and expectations, update the tag list and make sure I got everyone.

Once I know which group fill are in, and who is doing what, I'll start making posts.
