Gaius Danius Griinia Alright, sure. So he's power-hungry, unstable, and enjoys eating monsters. A little basic but, hey, simple is best. Now the idea is you take these traits and extrapolate them outwards and expand upon them a little, flesh your guy out. Maybe use this to inform a dynamic. Reach out and touch somebody, you know?

For example: You wanted to have a thing going with Amaya Himura , right? So say, hypothetically, maybe the Rinzler family aren't just some big-dick court assassins/manservants/whatever. Maybe that's just their day-to-day, and their real purpose is to hold the Emperor in check and cut him down should he descend into full-blown crazy, since that's a thing demigods do here. This, then, could give Amaya Himura an in for a character arc about how the previous Rinzler failed in their duty to assassinate the king and how she feels somehow at fault for the empire being such a mess right now. See how that organically emerges? Now, keep in mind, I'm not actually saying YES DO THIS SPECIFIC STORYLINE. It's just an example of what you and another person could do working with the traits you've listed.

The important thing here is that, now that you've established these things, you actually try to use them to inform your character a little. This doesn't mean you have to rave like a lunatic + eat a monster + kill someone for a magic item every post. It just means that, say, if your character was presented with the opportunity of chowing down on a monster carcass, he would at very least put some serious consideration towards doing so. Make sense?

I do like that idea very much. Perhaps you're right in not that specific storyline, but I do appreciate it giving depth and adding to the bigger picture. We're all here to create that picture. Gaius Danius Griinia Okay, no, see, you're entirely missing the point here. That's just an example of a dynamic you could have that built off the traits you listed. If you want your character to have a dynamic with Cypher, I'd suggest actually talking that over with Amaya Himura , who is now here so hey guess what you totally can good job.
The point is that when you roleplay, you should be, you know, playing a role. You take actions based on traits which then flesh out other traits which then drive other actions this is the most basic principle of writing a character.

Gaius Danius Griinia It seems to me that you are far too focused on having romantic relationships (at least according to constantly using that word 'waifu'), when that should only be a small part. You aren't thinking of the bigger picture at hand, and that should be on the characters, development and a story with plots and subplots that developed based on the actions done by the characters.

It’s good that everyone here is showing their care for the rp instead of leaving we needa rp together as a group more often lol. Having different character side plots is good because we get a chance to go more in depth with our character in any aspect we so choose for example the past or whatever so thanks for that idea!

Chiming in to say I am basically 100% behind what ColdCash and now this latest post by Freshet are bringing up, but it's also late and I need to sleep so I'll see what I wake up to in here tomorrow. But uh, Gaius Danius Griinia , way I see it, here you either go with Izuru trying to change and be better once someone brings up he is acting like one would expect of his father, or you double down on your character being psychotic and he attacks the person publicly and (IMO) reasonably accusing him of being bad at his job.

Yeah, i kinda felt bad for having Yuki mess up the team up but I tried to make it as fluid as possible. For instance, she destroyed the second last pillar, which gave an option to escape, and did it subtly enough that Hilde could see or not notice it depending on where you'd like things to go. Maybe my post/writing didnt make it clear enough eheh but what im trying to say is that im not trying to ruin any plans and Im sorry if it did.

Now in terms of if this rp is worth joining, well that is something you will have to decide on your own. If you are worried that the rp could die out due to some of the opinions made by the more vocal of us here about the GM's posts then I'd say that its always a possibility that could happen. But as things stand now it doesn't seem too likely.
