Futuristic Space: We'll Figure This Out (open)

Arkos appeared amused by Marcy, keeping silent as she went on. When she asked who they were, he spoke up. "My name's Arkos. A.I of the human girl down there. She's Arryn, a xenologist and such", the A.I would inform the girl as he inspected the now damaged part of the ship, staring towards it with a slight frown. He always hated messes and imperfections, and this was no exception.

"Hm..."

Craig bared his teeth at Marcy, and dropped the bolts to the floor with a noisy clatter. Though, when she stopped staring at him, he turned his attention to some very special screws right in the corner of his vision. He picked up a handful of them, and shoved them down his left trouser pocket. "My-uh... I'm Craig." Craig said, attempting to draw their attention away from his petty theft. "I'm your naviga- navi-, oh bugger it, the person with tha' maps' n' all that." he stuttered out, tripping over his own words. as well as his fingers, as he drops a few screws.

Marcy pinched the bridge of her nose, mumbling slightly to herself. "Okay, how about we all just talk inside -Where, because we have a warp drive, every thing in the public access area is bolted down- and we can all relax a bit." Marcy breathed, giving Craig a side ways glare. She led them over to the ladder down the side of the ship, and over to the aft airlock. She waved at Jack as she went, "Over here, the name's Marcelline. Come on, we're going to talk inside." She led them up the ramp to the airlock itself, punching in the eight-digit code and turning a key, which she replaced in her coverall chest pocket. Marcy didn't check to see who was following as she made her way through the empty cargo bay and into the common area. She took a seat at the table. "Alright, now we've got some things to get through before take off."

Arkos returned to Arryn, who followed Marceline into the ship. The A.I returned to his smaller size, hovering above the girl's left shoulder once again, almost like some sort of wisp or guardian angel. Arryn simply smiled as she looked around in a slight curiosity, she then looked back over at Marcy, taking a seat herself as she did so. So was the girl her captain, or the pilot? She wasn't so sure.

Arkos was busy scanning the length of the ship, running diagnostics and such to see just how safe and well-armed it really was. It was quite impressive, as it wasn't an official model. Custom built? That probably took a long time. The A.I already admired Marceline, so far...

Craig bolted inside, squeezing past anyone that wanted to go inside at the same time. As he walked through the cargo bay and into the commons, he smiled and slowly nodded as he examined all of the ship's fixtures and various bits. "This, this'll do nicely." he gleefully whispered to himself, as he fantasized about re-purposing the cargo-hold as his personal hoard-house. He then strutted into the commons, yanked out a chair, and plopped himself down in it, limbs sprawling everywhere. He looked around the table at Arryn, then Marcy, then Jack, then back to Arryn, who he briefly narrowed his beady eyes at, then finally back to Marcy.

"So, wassit' you wanted to talk about?" he said to Marcy in his trademark hissing tone.

Marcy leaned against her elbows on the table. "Okay folks, my name is Marcelline Fitzgerald. And you are currently sitting in one of the most advanced skippers to-date, minus the lead gunner. No ship is faster, no ship is more agile, no ship is better maintained, two ships are better equipped, though you can thank them for our computer system. However it is in need of a crew, a decent crew, to man it. Its a miracle it made it on this planet to begin with. If you want on board, fantastic, welcome to the party. But I have two rules. One, the engine room is entirely off limits until I get to know you all better. And two, if you actively try to break this ship, you'll be out the airlock so fast your head won't have time to spin. There are four bedrooms, two bunkbeds, two regular beds, four bedrooms and one kitchen, so sharing is caring. Any questions?"

"Where is this ship taking us?", Arryn inquired with a slight gleam in her eye. Her hands were already resting on her journal, eager to discover some kind of alien lifeform or new kind of mineral. She was, in fact, visibly shaking. Just a little though, to the point where you'd have to stare at her for awhile to realize it. Arryn's multicolored eyes peered at their recruiter in unbreakable attention.

Arkos himself was still simply floating there, listening in. The fastest ship? That sounded pretty amusing to him, though he was slightly skeptical. He'd love to see the thing fly, just to marvel in it.

Craig raised his paw and wiggled his fingers a little bit, though, he didn't wait to be called on, and simply blurted out. "Where's the bathroom?"

Roger looked at the ship, then at the flyer. It didn't look like much, but it'll do for now. He walked up and pounded his fist on the door, "Yo open up, I want in the crew"

"Four bathrooms, one in each bedroom. Pick one, which ever you like, we'll decide permanent sleep quarters later." Marcy waved Craig off, pointing at each of the bedrooms. She then turned to Arryn and grinned almost giddily, "Anywhere you like. We go where we want, where we need." Her favorite part was the exploring, seeing new technology, how to advance her ship, how to better equip her own tools. Her all-use tool, hung on her hip, waiting to be upgraded as always. "Doors open!" She shouted to the newcomer. "Now if any of you want to back out, now is the time. Remember, we'll be practically living with each other unless you jump ship."

Arubion would Finish Scanning the Ship... "This ship needs some work... And It seems like there are parts still needing fixxing...." He'd be talking to Marcy...

"I think there's lots of interesting people here, I'm in for the long run!", Arryn said rather excitedly, with Arkos on her shoulder rolling his eyes as he crossed his arms. He knew this was not going to end well for either of them. Arryn was already fiddling through her journal, beginning to sketch the people nearby. If she was going to stick with them for so long, she may as well not forget them.

Anywhere? Hm...

Arkos examined the tool at Marcy's side in interest, before comparing Arryn and Marcy's genetic bindings. Arryn was always different then most humans, which he found somewhat strange. It made him wonder, most of the time, but he never gave it too much thought.

"Saw the gun huh?" Marcy smiled at Arubion, "Sorry but that's all a side effect of a ship built out of parts that were never meant to be together. Plus with a crew I'll have more time to work on it!" Marcy was trying not to get giddy but failed horribly, the idea of having copious amounts of time to tune up her baby made her too happy. She calmed down as quickly as she could and looked over at the newcomer, patting an open seat. "Welcome to the party, don't touch the engines, don't break anything, you're stuck with us if you don't leave now." She summarized, then pointed in tern, "Arryn's going to be our xenologist, Arkos her AI, Guy with a gun,Arubion, and Craig the navigator."

Sorry about that, balancing this with school work. Dealing with it now.

Marcy waved Roger over, knocking against an empty seat, while she looked at Arubion. "Well, Captain, if we survive the first week without dying or killing each other, I'd say the job is yours. However, until then, I'm still going to call you Captain. Or Cap." She stretched, getting more used to the new company. She pulled her all-use tool and fiddling with the settings on it. "I have no problems with his Captainship, though if anyone else disagrees I suppose we can vote."

Arubion would look at Jack... "Age... 28... Name Jack Lawrence... Home planet... Hyperion... Can Display Multiple Personality Disorder... Power Hungry... Aggressive.. Cruel and Manipulative... I've got you down to a Science.... "

"Ah screw it, let em be captain, but I have one thing I need to ask, will I get my own personal space, or will I have to share?"

"I see Jack your trying to guess if you can shoot faster then I can disarm you... As Captain I vote the Backup Captain as Arkos the Ai.... He is the only other one smart enough..." He'd yawn and then head into a single Bed Room.... He'd lay down

"Four bedrooms, six beds. Like I said, sharing is caring." Marcy jumped a bit when her wrench (what she calls the all-use tool) sparatically jumped into a setting. "I honestly have no problem with sharing, infact with the ratio of guys to girls, it may be smart for Arryn and I to share a room. Now as far as Lieutenant goes, I'm going to have to agree with Cap here. Sorry, Gunman, but logically Arkos is simply the best choice." Marcy got up herself and headed off to the double bedroom closest to the bridge, mumbling a quick goodnight to the others. "We can talk more in the morning, grab a bedroom, don't let go."

(I actually do have to go to bed, I'll see you all in the morning! G'night!)
