Ben starred at the window, eyes lowered and lip between teeth. The kind lexi was upset, cute and timid Chantal injured. Everyone else upset and disoriented


"Im so sorry.. where can we rest?" Words seething with guilt.

[nah got lazy to post tbh. i got out the shower in like 4 minutes i was just working on my drive]


Honesty nodded. "I sure can." He said cheerfully despite the atmosphere. He held out his hand for a water bottle. "I'll just need one bottle."

Lexi still holding back tears sniffled loudly than she would have liked and rummaged through her bag until she found a water bottle. "Here, use mine." She gave a watery smile to Honesty.

Katarina squeezed Lexi's hand, trying to comfort her as much as she could. "Hey, hey. It's okay to cry sometimes," She cooed. One thing that is always running through her head is, Why does the government want to kill us so badly? Katarina sighed a bit, looking out the window.


We aren't zombies or anything, we're just enhanced. We're normal people with enhanced connections with certain things, in my case it's fire, but most of us are way too calm and sweet to hurt anyone out of nowhere. Everyone that we've hurt was out of self defense. Well, except for burning Lexi and that random prankster at school yesterday. Katarina sighed once more and continued in her thoughts. And to think- this all happened yesterday. The first day of school.


Finally done ranting to herself, Katarina slowly lessened her grip on Lexi to make both her and Lexi a bit more comfortable and movement more free. "At least we all have each other, all of us souls." Katarina said quietly to herself.

Honesty took the water bottle from Lexi, noticing her watery eyes. He wanted to do something about that, but Julie requested his assistance with Chantal. He took the water bottle, [the waterbottle thing is actually pretty smart] and freezed it solid. [i'm so lost in this rp it's not even funny, i wanted him to press it to her face but idk where she is] Leaning over, he held the water bottle out to Chantal with a weak smile.

 

[Harlan]

"Do you guys think it would be wise to leave the city? What if they were expecting us to do so." Julie told them the possibility, either way, it wasn't as if they could stay in the city either. Could they survive on their own outside though? It's been crazy ever since he met them, but he was glad. Who knows what would happen if he never met them. He waited for someone to think up with a solid plan, Cameron seemed to be the most likely candidate anyway since he was the one who suggested they train. He must had thought further through with that idea.

Lexi wiped her eyes furiously with the back of her hand. She answered Julie with a surprisingly even voice. "No, think about it, they probably have people stationed at the outskirts of the city, we're not exactly in a low profile car either. I bet its been reported stolen. We could always switched vehicles to throw them off our scent, I don't like the idea of stealing but.." her voice trailed off as she contemplated jump starting another car or some sort. "Maybe we should do what Ben said, pull over for a bit, clear our heads, make a plan." Everyone was in such low spirits. She stuck her hand in her bag again and pulled out a packet of cookies she stashed. Lexi loved cookies. "hey, anyone want some cookies?" she smiled as she waved the packet around, hoping to lighten the mood even a tiny bit.

Once things calmed down, Travis himself did. It seems having to run away all the time wasn't doing good for their morale. People sure didn't like Souls, he wondered why it was that way in the first place? Surely there must be a justifiable reason as to why the government and the soldiers are going this far. They weren't sick with a disease, they were blessed with gifts. Gifts that everybody else seemed to be afraid off.


He was tired of being on the run already, in only just a day. He wished he was home... Wait. He has forgotten about his family in all of this ruckus. He desperately opened and rummaged through his backpack to try and call his parents using his cellphone. Once he found it, he tried to turn it on but it wouldn't; it was out of power. With a sigh, he shoved it back to his backpack and leaned back into his seat. At least he was with a group of people whom he could relate with.

Ben saw the cookies and giggled, shaking her head. Even a sad Lexi makes things better. Returning the favor from the first fight, she gave the shorter girl a quick one armed hug. "Nah, but thanks. Here.. Ive got a map of the SEP guarding positions I stole we could work around. You know.. find somewhere off their radar."

 

[Mikailgirl]

Valentina perked up at the sight of the cookies. "Can I have on? And I agree stop and rest then switch cars, and maybe head to the countryside, less people you know.." She trail off and yawn. She was getting bored, what to do oh maybe play with her powers. She begin to make electric current shaped hearts, smiling at the yellow-white glow

 

[Harlan]

Fear came to Julie's face when it finally struck him that the S.E.P van was obviously GPS tracked. Guess it was about time they cleared their head. He drove off the road almost awkwardly "Not exactly the ideal place but everyone get out of the van." His tone was serious that they wouldn't have argue anyway. Once everyone hurried and got off with their stuff, Julie drove off again into someplace quiet and almost dead where he parked the van. Once he got out with his bag, he destroyed the van with a large tree to rid of maybe any potential evidence. Julie tried to move back to the others, careful to stay off the road where helicopters would most likely be watching. He motioned a bird over and told it description of his friends, sending the bird away to help him get back to everyone. Everyone must been confused right now because Julie just abruptly left, but he'll explain later. It was suspicious to have a bunch of kids on the side of road but they had to keep moving in order to not get caught, hopefully they realize this.

Lexi grinned and hugged Ben back, then she proceeded to hand some cookies over to Val, when she noticed the love heart shaped currents Lexi gave a childish squeal and made herself and arrow that pierced on of Val's. She grinned at Val. "Looks like cupid shot your heart." she gave a wink towards the girl but then Julie suddenly pulled them over and left, lexi stared puzzled after the van.

Ben followed, figuring her plan wouldn't be heard. She followed a bit away from others, but understanding what the plan was. She was no stranger to paranoia and tracking. "Hey. You might understand um.." She handed them the file and sped up. "Sorry. It will keep us from running into SEP for a little bit.." She showed the others

 

[Mikailgirl]

Valentina eats the last bit of the cookie and smiled, it was good and giggles at Lexi cheesyness before getting kicked out the van. She stood awkwardly looking at everyone. "Well let's get walking cause I don't want to hitchhike, cause that's gets you killed."

They trudged forward, Lexi stayed next to Val, something about the fellow Yellow soothed her. Fumbling in her pocket, Lexi took out her phone thinking maybe some music might make things a bit better. Switching on her phone she noticed her battery dying at first but at her touch the screen lit up and began charging with out her trying. Little thing like this is why she loved her powers, she nudged Val to show her.

Honesty yawned and stretched as he got out the van. He looked at the others and wasn't really in a mood to speak. They were being chased by death, and he was still thinking. Just thinking.

 

[Mikailgirl]

She looked over at Lex and smiled at the little trick. She gave it an extra boast so that the batter shot up to fifty percent. "Well I guess these powers aren't that lame." She quietly laughs. "You know I never wanted to be yellow, I always wanted to pink or purple or white, some pretty color like that, but meeting other yellows have changed my mind about that."

"I never really thought about having a different colour, like, in my mind I have be given a super power, why would I wish for another when I've got a pretty cool one. Sides, if we can do little tricks like this, who know what else we'l be able to do? There's so many ways to manipulate this." She thought for a second before continuing."I used hate the eye colour though, until I saw yours, I realized its not yellow, is more like gold." She pushed her hair out of her face to look at the other girl. "How have we changed your mind?"

 

[Bea Delaine]

Ben listened in. They were really pretty on both of them. It worked with Valentinas interesting hair and light skin and made Lex look like she was glowing gold. "I think they are the loveliest color to have.."

 

[Mikailgirl]

"Well being the only yellow I knew, I had this weird idea all yellow were weird unmature people, sad right. But meeting other souls and other yellows really have showed me that yellows are just as cool as other colors and meeting a pink, really show'd me I could never be one even though I has always wanted to have pink eyes." She laugh, "thanks but I still think I'd look so awesome with purple."

Chantal remains unconscious, her breathing still slow and steady, but becoming more even after each breath she takes.

Travis happily accepted the cookie. He was so hungry, it was eaten in one bite. Suddenly, they were asked to get out of the van, which was promptly destroyed. "Oh." it was all he had to say about that. Since his wheels were still out, he slowly skated in a circle. He then saw one of his fellow yellow souls charge her phone's battery. His palm promptly met his face, why didn't he think to do that to his phone before? He took out his phone and tried to focus his power on it. "I wonder how long sh-" He yelped and dropped it when it suddenly got extremely hot, the screen was cracked too. He didn't know if it was broken or not but he didn't dare to pick it up while it was burning hot.


While moping because of his phone, he overheard the girl's conversation about the yellow's eye color. "I think yellow eyes are pretty, but I kinda miss my old colors. They were me, y'know?" He said to them.

 

[Bea Delaine]

Ben smirked. "Immature? No.. you guys are adventurous and brave. Even if it isn't a good time or everyone else is down you smile. Way cooler than being boring. I look up to them a lot.. or umm I look up to you guys a lot. I know we barely know each other but yellow fits you really well." She rambled, poking Valentina in the forehead lightly.

 

[Mikailgirl]

She grins "don't look up to me I'm terrible." She giggles, "Well I like do like it better then my old eye color, which was a brown so dark it looked black." She hands Travis her phone,"here, and please don't fry it k," She winks. She points out a sign. "Gas 5 miles ahead guys."

Lexi smiled over Travis trying to work his power on his phone, until he dropped it which made her laugh, in a nice way." I guess there's someone important you want to get hold of right?" She offered everyone another round of cookies while munching her own. When Val made the comment about Yellow's being weird and immature, lexi took that as the time to skip around them. "Immature and weird, hell yeah!" She fist pumped the air. just being with these guys talking about normal(ish) things kept the dark thoughts away and made her feel free. "Ben has a nice way of describing us, my eye's used be blue, how about you Ben?"
