Fantasy Soul Secrets

Julie saw the the cars collide, using a nearby tree, he dragged the men out of the van with the tree roots. It was burdensome to do so. and especially burdensome that he couldn't give these men the necessary treatment for their injures, but he knew they wouldn't die. He kept a calm face as the vans exploded, dragging the men just far enough to avoid any more casualties."I know a backway nearby, but what about Cameron and Chantal?"

There was nothing for him to do. When she said goodbye, he began walking in the opposite direction without response. What was he going to do? Cameron was not the kind of person to plead such manners, especially because Chantal was her own person. He was not her keeper, and apparently she couldn't see him as a source of protection, so as far as he was concerned, she should go where she felt safe. This was when he heard a voice, Julie's, ask about both him and Chantal.

"I'm coming." And that was all that was needed to be said. He didn't want to talk about it, and the look on his face certainly didn't explain that he did. Cameron was hard to call, because of the fact that he really didn't trust anyone but himself. Even now, with this group, he had no idea what to expect. Sure, they had been fighting together, but how much could he really rely on those around him to care enough to pick him up if he fell?

That was his motivation. Continue moving forward. In life, people flow in and out. Whether Cameron felt affection for another or the complete opposite, that fact always remained true. He needed to do what was best for him; it was how he had done things his entire life, and it kept him alive. If he changed his perspective now, how far could he really get in this world where he was being hunted? Wiping a hand down his face, Cameron opened the door to the vehicle and got inside, making sure to sit in the furthest corner he could find. His fingernails were still digging into his palms, a small amount of blood trickling down in a couple of spots as a result.

Lex watched as Julie took the men from danger and in that moment she was very thankful for him doing so, it was one less thing to surface in her nightmare's that she killed people. She made a mental note there and then to take some time to talk to this gentle soul. Seeing another squad appear from the back of the apartment block, Lex did her best to keep them at bay while Cameron got in. Stuck by an idea, Lex raised her hand to the power line above the men, with as much strength as she could muster, she brought it down in front of the advancing soldiers, hoping a live wire under her control would stall them. "We're out of time, everyone get in NOW!"

[i''m going to assume those offline rn, like Kat and Honesty are with us?]

"Whoa!" Travis yelped when the fellow yellow soul dragged him to the van. His wheels force him to crawl into it. Apparently, she didn't want him running off like her friend did. "Who's running off now?" He said as he peeked his outside of the van and saw a girl fly way. " Where's she going now?" He muttered, wasn't it better to stay together? As he got inside the van, he though that it was better for souls to stick with each other against any danger. Was she going to be safe? Everything seemed to be getting more insane every hour for him

Julie didn't have to be a pink soul to know what Cameron was thinking. Not bothering to ask about Chantal, he started the engine and began to back up onto the roads. Now Julie thought he was no expert in driving but the way he wide-frame drifted across the front of the approaching S.E.P vans and sped right past behind them was the sexiest thing they seen today. "Alright, where are we heading?" he asked them, not realizing how insane that was.

Chantal was crying as she made her way towards her home. She denied the fact this was a mistake to leave the group, but deep down within herself, she knew that was. Not being stupid to the fact that it was wiser and safer to stick together, the overwhelming turn of events and inexperience of how to actually work with others sent her on the edge of disarray. By habit if something of this occurred, she would go home to her room and just immerse herself in any book in her vast collection, seeing how she lost her other one during the fight in the forest before.

She wiped away the tears. This wasn't the time to be crying, she had to focus and keep an eye out for the enemy. But then she thought of Cameron and the single content sent butterflies to her stomach, causing her to lose footing and balance, tumbling forward and skid on the floor on her side. She just couldn't catch a break. Pushing herself on her hands and knees, she looked up and praised the heavens that her glorious house was right in front of her, about five steps ahead.

A shaky sigh escaped Chantal's lips as she stood up, dusting off the dirt and dust from her clothes – running her fingers through her hair and brought a hand up to cover a wound on her upper arm from the accident. She walked to her home, entering it, only to be face to face with a S.E.P. commander who stood behind the front door, waiting for her it seems.

Not being quick enough to construct a barrier around her, he punched her with great force, causing her to hit her head against the door frame, knocking her out. She tried to send a link to Cameron, however everything faded to black before she could, but hoped that he could at least feel her try. She was so stupid to believe home was a safe haven, completely stupid.

(damn this is making her seem like a damsel in distress. totally not the way i wanted it to go >:( )

Katarina sat in the van, holding on to whatever she can. The van was going very fast, swerving around the S.E.P vans without crashing into them. She felt very uncomfortable as she's only been in a speeding car once, and that's when her dad died and she lived. Katarina shook the thought from her head. It was her fault they crashed, she told him to drive faster, so she could feel the wind in her hair. Her dad wasn't paying attention to the traffic and ended up in a big car wreck.

She shook her head again, trying to banish her thoughts to the moon.

Cameron needn't say anything, Julie had already drove off toward the direction he saw Chantal jump. It was insane to think that Julie would leave behind a friend like that, even if they chose to ran away. Cameron may not had chose to force her along, but Julie was more stubborn than he was. He sped up away, swerving around the moving cars with finesse. He kept calm, not realizing that this was dangerous, but because he was calm he was able to drive steadily. Luckily because they were in the S.E.P vans, people readily moved out of the way. How far could Chantal could had went?

Lex noticed Kat looking really uncomfortable, well, more uncomfortable than most. Cameron hadn't said a word since he came in, she crawled over to Kat dragging her bag behind her and sat down next to the usually fiery red head. Lex waited a moment before speaking. "He mightn't be the best driver, but he's all we got right now, who know's, maybe he''ll be a racer one day." She studied the girls face before talking again. "What going on up there?" she asked gently, barely tapping Kat's head.

She liked this fast place her smile wide, it was pretty fun actually. She looked at the others in the van before realizing that she was still holding that boy's hand. She blinked and look it go real quick and rolled a window down some. No traffic huh, this van really did have some perks.

Katarina laughs at Lexi's comments, feeling put at ease with her gentle, sweet voice. "Oh nothing," She lied, "Really, it's nothing."

A flick of a lightbulb. That's at least what it seemed like. After speaking to Chantal through their own unconventional means, Cameron learned that the communication links between the two could be used for far more than just speaking. It was through those means, after all, that Cameron began to feel Chantal rather than just understand her words. The link was simply far greater because they both contained the same color soul. As the van sped off, Cameron looked around at everyone in the vehicle. It was practically silent, and they had just avoided the SEP; Julie asked a question as to where they're going, and he made a short announcement.

"We have to bring her back no matter what!" Of course, he meant Chantal. If he had to drag her by force, kicking and screaming all the way, he was going to get that girl to stay with the group and the course of action. They were all sick of fighting; no one wanted to be hunted, they all just wanted to go on with their lives. Unfortunate circumstances coming into play made that virtually possible, however, and Cameron understood that. His fingers grasped the latch of the van's left side door and he flung it open, after shouting at Julie to let him know he would be back. He practically bursted from the open door, running as fast as he could toward a familiar sight.

An unconscious Chantal being dragged out by an SEP commander.

Enraged, Cameron would find the closest spot to hide; a wall adjacent to the staircase; the same one the SEP leader was using to carry Chantal down. As the man's foot hit the ground and he continued walking past, Cameron quickly got the jump on him. Wrapping his arm completely around the soldier's neck, squeezing with his bicep and forearm, he used the forearm of his left hand to push against the forearm of his right and crank it more toward him. Did you get that all, folks? Cameron's choking out the Commander from behind. In response, the SEP leader dropped Chantal onto the grass below, desperately trying to get Cameron's arm away from his neck to no avail. Cameron dropped back, slamming himself against the dirt and cranking further.
"YOU'RE F_CKING DEAD!" When he yelled this, he did it through gritted teeth, his cheek pressed against the top of the commander's head. Where the hell were the soldiers that were supposed to be protecting this guy?

Cameron was really about to kill this guy. The young man was never one to think of such acts, but this was the time to start. He couldn't help himself, he was too far past the point of no return. Now was the perfect time for someone for anyone to intervene, especially considering the leader's face was turning purple.

Lex jumped out of the van at Cameron's sudden action. "CAMERON NO! Don't do this! It gives them more leverage to use against us! We are better than this!" She took a few shaky steps forward and laid a hand on his shoulder. "Cameron, stop. Go to Chantal."

"Cameron, get back in the van!" Julie yelled, his voice fierce that it would cause people to cower. Hopefully this was enough sense for Cameron to let go, seeing that the soldiers who were supposed to protect their commander, dropped their donuts, and began storming over. Julie swerved the van so that the door was still open and facing Cameron and Chantal. All he had to do was jump back in with Chantal in his arms before Julie could drove off again. Though if Cameron didn't yield, Julie wouldn't hesitate to immobilize him out with some paralyzing spores and drag him back himself.

"If you don't stop, I'll have to stop you, look around, SEP are coming as we speak and Chantal is still lying on the grass. Get her and get into the van, I'll take care of this piece of trash but go now!" she spoke with such harshness it surprised her, she tightened her grip on Cameron, emphasizing that she will stop him if she has to.

Still unconscious and unaware of the situation, Chantal remained still on the grass but even during her state of limbo, she could sense the other pink soul nearby faintly.

(These following posts are from tapatalk. Sorry if any are too short, posting from a droid sucks.)

Cameron heard the various voices surrounding him. Lex wanted him up, with good reason. Julie had warned him to get back in the van, going so far as to pull up next to the three. Chantal was unconscious on the floor. Letting the commander's neck go, Cameron spat on his face as he crawled over to Chantal, only a few inches away. He moved some of the hair covering her face, framing her cheek with his hand in the process before he picked her up. One hand under her legs and the other behind her neck, he got into the van as quickly as he could. He tried not to sprawl Chantal out, opting to hold most of her frame on top of him instead.

"I'm sorry. Thanks for the help." He was still really pissed, to the point where he was seeing red, but at least Chantal was breathing.

Once everyone got back in the van, Julie drove off again. The smoke from the exhaust pipe blew in the soldiers face as they tried to chase, causing them to stop and start coughing. Julie looked at at the rear view mirrors to see if they're still chasing but luckily for them, the soldiers were too busy helping their commander up. Honestly glad they sent incompetent soldiers after them, but maybe they're faking incompetence because they wouldn't want to harm the children yet couldn't disobey order? Julie honestly did not know what the soldiers were thinking.

Sighing in relief that Cameron left the commander, Lex climbed back into the van just before speeding off again. She found herself next to Kat again and lean slightly against her for some comfort off a friend, even though she still didn't know her very well. Realization that she no longer had her home crept over her, as well as all the harm she caused to others.. she shuddered to herself.

Noticing Lexi slightly leaning against her, Katarina wrapped her arms around her tightly. Every soul here was uncomfortable, scared or angry, it seemed. It's only been the second day that they all met, but it felt like forever. We've injured a lot of people along the way as well. Not knowing how Lexi felt, Katarina responded with a short sentence and a calm voice, "It's alright Lex."

Lexi was surprised in the best possible way when Kat put her arms around her. She nestled in closer to Kat, she hasn't been hugged since her family died over a year ago. She reached a hand to clasp one of Kat's when a small sob escaped her. "I-I'm sorry." Apologizing for crying she sniffled.

Chantal breathed slowly, but steadily, as she was still stuck in her unconscious state as she remained on top of Cameron. The blow to her head from the punch the commander did was much too powerful for someone with her size and frame. The side of her face was becoming swollen from the impact, her outfit tattered from everything that had happened.

Valentina wondered how her corgis were doing, probably taken by animal control by now. She sighed and rolled her window completely down. They were going so fast, that the air stung her face, she didn't mind though and continued to look out the window. Her stomached growled and she wonder when they were going to stop for gas, maybe this van had gas. She looked at the people with her, if we didn't have these souls, would we even all be friends, she rubbed her tummy and daydreamed.

Inspecting the interior rear mirror, Julie noticed Chantal's face turning swollen. Since he's on the wheel he couldn't help but he knew the others would be able to."Hey, in my bag there should be some water bottles, you could use that as an makeshift icepack." he told Honesty, I mean if you could boil water you should be able to freeze it too right? He pointed at Chantal in case they didn't notice with all the nervous energy taking place.
