Fantasy Soul Secrets

Ben shrugged. "Um.. there really wasn't much of a change. I had green or greenish hazel eyes forever.. and its not nice! Its honest. My mouth moves and usually unfortunately its echoing everything Im thinking." Her cheeks reddened for a moment. "I could see you as blue eyed... and weird is great. Caring about the little things sucks and nobodies missing out."

[ once again, no notifications. ]

Katarina listens to the conversation about their old eye colors. While doing so, she looks around at her surroundings, very intrigued. It damn right wasn't the best place to stop, but Katarina liked walking and understood the reason why they had to stop and walk.

"That's very lucky that you got a color that matched your old eyes. My eyes used to be hazel before they changed to red. My hair is also dyed red, it used to be brown. I dyed it the first time around a month before I found out about my eyes, which is very unfortunate since I don't really like how my eyes match exactly with my hair. I got used to it very quickly though, so I dye my hair red if I start to see the brown roots growing in." Katarina rambles about her old appearance.

She too could easily see Ben having greeny hazel eyes. "You're an honest person, and y'know what they say, a person's eyes never lie.. i think they say something like that." Lex decided to take this as a chance to get to know these people more after hearin , hell, their lives depended on each other now. "Travis, what about your old eye colour?"

"Oooh your dye is very nice. I love dyeing my hair as you can see. But yeah even before my eyes changed I wore colorful contacts, almost got hurt when I wore my neon pink ones. I'm thinking of dyeing it again maybe pastel blue and green." She twist her fingers through her hair.

"My parents, they must be worried." Travis solemnly said to Lexi. When Tina gave her phone to him, he promptly gave it back. "Um.. I don't have their phone numbers memorized...haha." He said embarrassed while scratching his head, in which he found a small twig from the night before. He probably shouldn't try to sleep in trees anymore if he could. "Oh, I was heterochromatic. My right eye was green while my left's was blue." He said when the fellow yellow soul asked him another question.

Ben leaned in and looked at the bright hair colors with curiosity. "I think its cute Kat! And green would look cool." She tried to think for a moment, then raised a finger. "Oh.. I tried to get hair dye once.. it was bright orange but my dad burned it and the box.." She realized how ridiculous it sounded and quickly added, "I was sorta sheltered."

She gives Travis a look. "I thought that everybody memorizes their number, oh well. Heterochromatic though, sounds really cool, I too would miss my eye color if I went for two to one." She turns to Ben," sheltered is good, not like my parents who walk out on me at the age of 13, tough yah know." She shakes her head. "If you really want a dye though I always willing to help." A sign came up again GAS-2 miles.

Ben shook her head. "That would be nice.. um.. but not the good kind of sheltered.. Lets just say if I wasn't, my mom wouldn't be laying' meters down in the dirt." She rambled, catching herself and cussing. "I mean.. well shit. I cant really backtrack on that one, can I? I would like to try it again some day, dying my hair so that would be really nice Valentina."

"Oooh it's ok, you know we're like a rag-tag family now and we gots your back now." She smiles. "I think you would look nice with light pink tips." She yawn and rubs her tummy "you guys want to stop at the gas station or is this too much like a horror movie and we should just keep moving..."

"I'm hungry...." Honesty suddenly grumbled in a low tone, lower than normal. He was holding his stomach lightly, his shoulders hunched. He looked kind of drowsy and off beat, not his usual cheerful or kind self. He swept his head back for a moment, blinking his eyes rapidly and digging through the backpack he's clung to so desperately all this time. Honesty pulls out a water bottle and pours it on his head, sighing. "My stomach is going to eat itself..." Honesty grumbled some more.

Ben nodded. "Food... I haven't had anything to eat since the raspberries at lunch yesterday." She looked down at the scrawny weed like shape. "Doing myself no favors but I think honesty and you would like to gorge yourselves with me?" She offered with a laugh.

"Hell yeah!" Honesty nodded quickly. "Stuff myself full with some good food again..." He sighed gently. I wish he could go home and whip up something for himself. He wished the SEP didn't exist. Their lives would be easier that way.

She looks at Honesty, "ok so we're going to that gas station and rest, but if we get murder by cannibal mutants, my dying words will be I told you so." She walk over to him and hands him a mint. "This will calm your hungry, just till we get there and cool you mouth."

"...there is no such thing as cannibal mutants.. right?" She clung closer to the other girl, knowing her fear was silly but after the day theyve had anything was to be expected.

"I'd say nah but old gas station in the middle of nowhere, I just don't know. I know, we'll send the guys in first just to test the water." She turns to Honesty and smiles bright. "Since you're so hungry you can go in first."

Honesty took the mint, looking disappointed by it, but popped it in his mouth anyways. "Thanksss. But I highly doubt that you'll be murdered. As long as I'm here~ Haha." He said happily. Noticing Ben's fear, he smiled. "Of course not~ The closest to cannibal mutants here are the maroons really." Honesty checked to see if any maroon heard that, then grinned, but it was quickly wiped off as Tina volunteered him to go in first. "Really? The guys? Don't be surprised when I come back in ghost form and haunt you. I bet there's not even a clerk in there..." Honesty grumbled, looking at the gas station. He held his water bottle for water just in case, he didn't want things to get needlessly blood-usey as he started to walk towards it. "Fine, I'll show you, Tina~"

"wait!" Ben said, coming to Honesty now. God, she hated feeling like a child but she couldn't help some cases. "Um.. Im gonna go close behind you and make sure nothings gonna hurt you since I don't like blood on people I like." Like of course applied to both of them in that sense. And yes. She was serious.

Walking down the dusty road, Julie kept an eye for the bird. He reached for his cellphone again, if there wasn't any better, now was the time. He dialed his father's number and waited for the phone to start ringing.

"Dad I-", he gulped, wondering if the S.E.P had gotten a hold of his father, but it didn't seem the case and it didn't matter."I love you." he spoke in the silent phone, not sure what he wanted to say but he was sure this is what he wanted to say most. He crossed his arm, anxious, kicking dust off the road as he walked awaiting the response.

"Remember your mother's justice, Julie." his dad finally spoke. Julie tried to choke back tears, his father had jabbed him in one of their weakest point. Julie could tell his father was holding back sobs on his side too, but that phrase meant the whole world to Julie. His father understood his circumstances and now he didn't have to worry about moving forward anymore."I love you." his dad ended the call with that. Promptly, Julie snapped his phone in half in order to not be traced. Looking up, he sees the bird gesture him to the gas station few miles down. Julie wiped his tears, a more determined person.

"Alrighto, we got each others backs~" Honesty said happily, strolling towards the gas station. When they got close, there was no clerk, and the place looked cluttered with food, making it a tight space. "Looks fine to me!" He said, pushing open the store. It smelled kind of gross, and there was a small fan in the window. It was cold, dark and quiet. The jingles of the bells above. "There's no one here however..." Honesty looked over at Ben reassuringly. "Stay close if you're still wary, but make sure to check expiration dates. Don't want anyone getting sick."

Ben nodded. Worry made her lose appetite. She wanted to eat but she didn't want to poison herself either. Soo... balance said worry with said stomach growling. She timidly tip toed to another area, looking for something edible. "hm.. this place is really dusty.." She walked over to the counter and swiped her finger over it. "When was the last time anyone bought anything here?" She wondered aloud, finding a fruit danish and searching the drink area for something sweet.

She stared inside, "this place looks really shady guys, like no joke." She watched from right outside the store for a minute before going inside herself. She started to get food but kept looking around. "I'll telling you guys this place is scary and we should just get something and go. I mean where even is the clerk and why is it cold on such a hot day." She had many sweets in her arm and a few flavored waters.

"I haven't had anything substantial to eat since last night." Travis said, his stomach rumbled in response to the other's talk of food. The empty Gas Station was heaven to him, it had food. " Foooooood." He said as he searched through the cluttered food.

Honesty shrugged. "I agree..." He quickly shoved water, drinks, and food into his bag. As much as he could store. "Mwahaha~" He grinned. "I wish this store had medical stuff... But I shouldn't complain, right?" He got a three drinks and a few sweets as well. "Well I'm ready... I'll wait at the door for you guys." He was a little bit protective of his new soul-family, you could say. But... Speaking of family.... He had to do some talking with his. Honesty's face fell a little, but he didn't want to worry others.

Ben heard what they said and shivered, holding her arms. She smelled something irony, making her physically gag. Inspecting the counter, she saw a old dark brown stain, growing as she saw a pale lump of flesh, small but recognizable. "m not hungry anymore.." She mumbled, dropping what she held and sprinting outside.

She quickly got out of there with her loot, not wanting to be alone in there at all. "Ben you alright?" She takes out a few pills. "Need some?"
