And yes! Delilah could be taken advantage of, for one of her habits is helping people, no matter who they are or what they do.

oh, i get it! ok! i was all like.... hmmm is this some sad backstory i was unaware of!? nah, its just stupid to go to fool's errand. that's why they call it that.

someone taking this girl Directly To The Cleaners is in my List Of Evil Ideas (Plot Document) already

Alright, you're on, and whoever loses has to buy the whole party a round! As long as Sean isn't too drunk to stand, Jeanne won't last a minute!

No matter what they do, eh? Dawn could always use a volunteer for her shows! How's Delilah at solving rat mazes?
Ah, who am I kidding? Dawn'll probably just swindle her out of everything she's got. Being nice doesn't get you far with a conwoman legitimate businessperson around I'm afraid!

Christ, that poor girl's going to have a hell of a winter between myself and our ever lovely GM (I'm not trying to flatter my way out of whatever cruel plans are waiting for me, I swear) constantly plotting her torment. I almost feel bad. Oh well. Back to my evil scheming!

Lord Mitmar Lord Mitmar
Not too sure if she has good skills when it comes to rat mazes, I'll have to get back to you on that, haha.

Let's hope that Delilah learns quickly that all people cannot be trusted before she ends up conned by Dawn or tormented by Van's evil schemes. (or ultimately destroyed, oh boy)

I'm hoping Casey can figure out his situation quickly. He's in a bit of a rough spot. Like, the homeless with freezing children spot.

vanquishable vanquishable What currency do the Snowshoers use? Or is it just a system of bartering?

I finally posted my character; the reason it took so long is because I put a lot of thought and love into making him. Say hello to storytime grandpa, Tucker.

capMARVELOUS capMARVELOUS I love Tucker!!! Don't you worry about taking your time, either! I'll be sure to write in some time for him to chat with some kiddos! It seems we have a few bards, too, and one of the major NPCs is one too! Maybe they could swap stories!

epicstar epicstar oooh yeah, eesh. homeless with freezing children sounds bad. ask the matriarch, or the innkeeper.

also, there is no money. it's just a bartering system. i had jeanne bring some money with her for the sole purpose of noting her frustration when it didn't work. y'all are gonna have to find a different way to get what you need!

Lord Mitmar Lord Mitmar en garde!

kid's gonna have to start peelin' potatoes and carryin' crates from place to place

welcome to the barter economy!

since i wasnt clear enough about the barter economy, i won't mind if you wanna go back and give him a few things to trade.

capMARVELOUS capMARVELOUS y'all ask me great questions about Stuff I Should Have Thought Of. keep it up, i guess, fill in them gaps!

so i'm imagining the clime of the nation FE is in to be... scandinavian. lovely summers, fjords. awful winters, though, and even worse up in the mountains. FE is located on the northwest side of the country--the mountain range forms the western border, which is indefinite to say the least because it is so difficult to traverse. the east side of the country is open to the sea--assuming the shape is vaguely quadrilateral, the east and south sides are coastal. lovely stony beaches and all that. penguins, like those african rock penguins, because i say so--even though it's temperate.

the country--Crolibia, let's call it--is a hub of trade and cultural exchange. as you go east, the people get richer and more ethnically diverse--the innkeeper is a... Fantasy Southeast Asian man, and Sean and Dawn are from.... Fantasy Ireland. as you go west, though, wealth inequality gets serious because the peasantry can't access the hubs of trade and cultural exchange. there is some feudalism but it's mostly freeholders like keaton and delilah. one marker of eastern descent, and therefore poverty, is monolingualism--I'm imagining the 'official language' of crolibia and the one that the folk in our game speak is something like old norse. richer people speak that and also, by necessity, a trade pidgin designed for most folk who trade at crolibian ports to understand.

folklore should be very diverse! as for the rest of the world... i'm imagining, like, dominant imperial cultures that are accessible at this time (world not yet fully explored/connected) would be european, asian, and south american. but like. yknow. Fantasy Asian, etc. so if you wanted to take some stories from, say, aztec or japanese mythology, as well as norse, that would work out for a repertoire.

sorry to double text, as it were! lore has been updated.

also i think we should start a conversation as to when would be a good starting time!

How dare you break the sacred rule of nonrepetition? This calls for immediate and brutal punishment. Perhaps the forced consumption of ten strings of black liquorice will suffice?

I'm good with starting whenever everyone else is! I've got nothing better to do than sit here and wait anyway!

hahaaaaaaa, foiled! I ADORE black licorice, and raisins too!

are you from the uk or australia? you think licorice comes in strings instead of twists and you spell it with a qu. also its 4 am where i live. i should really get to sleep!

and yep, sure! i'm thinking maybe in the next day or so but we're still waiting on a couple of character sheets. yall take your time, tho.

Wait, you LIKE those things?! I... I don't even have the words. You're an absolute lunatic, and quite possibly not even human. Ah well, to each his own. If I find any of that nonsense I'll toss it your way! Raisins are alright. I like raisins. Nothing beats an orange though.

Do you really think I could survive the outback? I'd be dead in minutes! But you're right! London, born and bred. I'd laugh at your colonial ways, but I know you lot outnumber us by far on this site. And pretty much everywhere else, really. You win this round. You and your licorice twists!

Sounds good! I'll just be over here, patiently waiting for those missing characters. Grudgingly, but patiently.
Nah, take your time everybody, have fun with it. I still love you, even if you are terribly slow. Or have horrible taste in sugary treats.

I'm good whenever!

Also, for whatever reason, I just can't stand black licorice. I want to like it, but I just can't. I tried mango licorice once though, and it was awesome!

I don't know what you're all talking about; black licorice is great.
I'm free to start whenever.
