I'm sure Moses had plenty of regrets that could be played on. Caster is the only class that'd fit for him as far as I know of his story, since the only thing he'd have is his plagues.

I dunno, we really couldn't tell until we would know how he's written in the Nasuverse, but I'm standing by Ruler/Saver.

Well I'm not talking about FGO. I mean in a more traditional sense. Moses would be Caster if he were ever summoned since there's no other class he could fit in.

Also. Nasu did directly address Jesus being summoned and said No No. So...End discussion?

I'm more saying and standing by that in a normal war he'd only get to be a Ruler or Saver, But as I said we can't tell what he'd be in the Nasuverse since there's nothing written and History is all different there anyway.

Ruler and Saver aren't part of a normal war so that's not possible rofl. In a normal war he'd have to be Caster since he wouldn't fit into any other class. Saver itself isn't even a real class as it exists purely in a glorified computer game. So if a war required a ruler Moses might be able to fill the role. Otherwise he'd have to be Caster.

I was more-so saying saver/ruler as Saver in any realm where saver does exist like the mooncell, and Ruler otherwise. I don't think he'd normally be summoned as Caster more-so just because of sensitivity to it, but as I said, we can't tell for sure canonically.

RP-wise he's free-reign though lol.

I don't get that part. He's a shoe-in for Caster, fits the class like a glove.

In non-christian news. I feel like my post is super lackluster and don't want to post it. But then how many ways can you cover retreating from the battlefield?

Maybe.
I also think that Nasu stated servants couldn't be summoned if they didn't want to, but I don't really know if that qualifies for Moses.

You're gonna have to post eventually since Lancer is waiting. So...

Fuck it, you're the one stuck with a supbar post to deal with D:.

Keep in mind other things that are not strictly abilities he was shown as using. For example, you could make a NP out of his crown of thorns, or tie the holy lance to him, or his crucifixion. There are SO many different ways to make skills and NP's out of a legend that are not simply "This person had this ability."
Yes, but usually they wouldn't be something that killed the person. If we count the crucifixion, crown of thorns, or the lance as something he can do, it'd probably be a broken NP, like Arash's. It could do quite a bit, but would kill him, always. Because it's use became his death, even if it was against his will.

So yeah, he could have some rather good NP's, but almost all of them would be Broken and end with his death. So yes, you don't have to have an ability 100% connected to someone, but almost anything connected to him that aren't in his basic repertoire of abilities would end up killing him.
Again, repeating myself. Combat ability is irrelevant here. The point is Jesus is beyond the Grail's ability to summon. It doesn't matter how well he'd perform in combat. It matters whether the grail has the ability to pull him into a servant container, and it doesn't. You're conflating overall divine power with combat ability and that's where your mistake is. And even then, as Godhowsae pointed out a servant's abilities are not tied to what they did in life. There's no legend of King Arthur shooting giant beams at his enemies, and yet excalibur can do it. The sheer divine power coupled with the unparalleled fame Jesus has would breed the most powerful servant ever seen, if you could somehow manage to pull it off without nerfing him to accomplish it. Those things you mentioned for Moses didn't come from him, they came from God. Whereas with Jesus it was his own personal power that could perform miracles. I mean hell, the very concept of him being able to perform miracles is a blank check to do literally anything he wanted. He could just make any attack you performed do zero damage because that's what he wanted.

You don't mess with godly servants rofl, it's a recipe for disaster. Jesus, Zeus, Odin, Gabriel, Loki, Susanoo, etc etc etc. These beings are beyond the Grail's capabilities and they should stay that way.

No, I'm not saying that fighting ability= divinity. What I'm saying is that overall, his abilities were exceptionally weak except for a very few, as they were meant for peace. The idea that he'd just wave his hand and be like "You stupid rofl" is idiotic. None of his miracles included taking no harm, feeling no pain, or any of the such. He resurrected people. He healed people. He did exorcisims (which aren't really "miracles", as there's a whole section of Catholicism based on doing exorcisims, but we'll count 'em for the hell of it). He pulled money out of the mouths of fish. He made wnough food out of very little to feed a 1000 men. He walked on water. He turned other water into wine. He stopped it from raining. He made his face glow. He got some jedi ghosts to follow him in the forms of Moses and Elijah. Oh, and after he died and came back to life, he found another coin in another fishes mouth! How exciting!

Oops, almost forgot. He also cursed at a fig tree and made it die.

Then there are the infancy gospels, but the most notable things in there beyond his normal schtic is that he made a board longer, and made some clay pigeons come to life. But the latter is expected of a jew*.(joke explenation! In jewish myth, rabbi's could make golems out of clay.)

In fact, the most miracle miracles preformed by him happen in the Book of Mormon, when he comes down from heaven, and brings down a bunch of angels. But nobody takes the Book of Mormon seriously, ao we'll ignore those.

Now, just because he's able to preform miracles does not mean they would work in a combat situation(such as your example of making a servants attack do no damage). Or at least, not in the way you described it. The most deadly miracle I know of (which was not preformed by Jesus, by the way) was when Saint Martha prayed the Terasque(french dragon thing) to death. But no miracle along those lines were ever preformed by Jesus. So while could probably do it, he never should any inclination of wanting to do such a thing, due to his pacafistic nature.

Now, to fish and fig trees, he probably be the most evil being in existence. But, fish are stupid and fig trees are assholes, so those don't really count as being "aggressive".

And actually, the "problem" of divinity could be circumnavigated by simply changing your view point on Jesus. In both Judaism and Islam, Jesus is not the prophesied son of god, but just another prophet. Looking at him through that lens, he could easily be summoned into a grail war.

And before you go on about that not being possible due to him being so famous, may I also remind you that in greek mythology, Dionysus is better know as a god than a demi-god. Hermes is better known as a god than a demi-god. Vlad is better known as Dracula than as the heroic Romanian prince. Etc, etc.

What their famous as being dosen't negate the alternate looks on him.

I'm done now. Umu.

*joke explenation! In jewish myth, rabbi's could make golems out of clay, which would then protect the jews of the community. So, the joke is that jews can make clay come to life.

Oh wow, look at that. Missed a whole page. Damnit.

EDIT: Damnit, I think it's actually two.

At that, Nasu said Jesus was a no no for the reason that he'd morally object to the Holy Grail War. And...yeah...

So that's pretty much the end of that argument.

Jesus straight up killed people because they did something he didn't like. Just said they'd be punished and they fell down dead. He wouldn't even need things like the lance or crown of thorns to murder you. It could be something as simple as him being mad about you fighting over a fake version of his cup and commanding everyone involved to die, and so they die. Jesus, like all parts of the bible, was exceptionally savage. You just aren't taught about those in sunday school. Jesus had no qualms about killing people because at the end of the day they're going to heaven or hell either way. Not like it matters. And he had the power of an omnipotent God at his disposal. Jesus would be, unquestioningly, the single most powerful servant to ever exist. But that's also part of why he can never be a servant. The Grail can't support an omnipotent god as a servant. Plus, as already said, it's just awkward to have the grail summon the owner of the Holy Grail.

Either way, you don't inject a literal God into the war and expect to do very well against them lmao.
