Fantasy Seiunita OOC

Compared to everything else in this how is "a very good archer with a big bow" overpowered?

Greatbows have a lot more power to them to pierce magical armor, plus they have the range advantage.

You're right, we're trapped in a world of badasses where everybody is just too damn overpowered. I bet even those little pixies can kill a man by gouging his eyes out.

Heisenberg: "Can we stop arguing and fight already?"

Murali Mirko: "Hey... everyone... nice to meet you..."

Heisenberg: *Pushes Murali into the center of the crow* "Start fighting!"

Murali Mirko: "Um, OK!" *Mirko draws a sword and starts swinging it around at Elephantom*

Heisenberg: "What the... NOT HIM!"

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ probably.

You have ballistas for that, and magick-infused armour is too expensive and rare to be used commonly. And consider the price vs. range factor.
Greatbows have better mobility and can be operated by one person, also how would magic armor be rare? Shadowz said roughly half a population can use the magic of their kingdom, that's a lot of people to enchant your armor for you if you can't do it yourself.

True but the League has Tempest bolts and Tempest flamers for that.

Until someone gets smart with irons and magic.

Medieval warfare. Plate armour is actually very flexible. Cavalry armour is the huge and cumbersome one.

Exactly. Still, one shouldn't underestimate the heavy cavalry for their lack of speed — they can burrow a straight hole into an entire column, and send the whole brigade into disarray.

Which is why the cataphract is feared by the Greeks.

You just said that greatbows shoot spears? And then there's price vs. efficiency, luminosity's passive nature, the matter of revolutions and coups, and the price fall for normal weapons. It would send the economy to certain doom.

Ugh, so much information... don't feel like worldbuilding now.

Okay not actual spears, that was exaggeration my bad.

Not to mention, that armour-specialist mages can get an extra buck for the value. And, that mass production factories focus not on magic but on, of course, mass production.

Oh. I thought you were talking about some kind of mobile ballista. But, seriously, a magick bow that blows things to oblivion will SERIOUSLY decrease the value of many things.
Ahaha, sorry I meant to say really big arrows but spears sounded better.
And who's to say all of the arrows are explosive? When I meant enchanted I kind of meant enhanced accuracy and armor negating magics.

But, think about it, the armour negation is already done by longbows? And again, the price vs. range factor comes into play.

WAIT A DAMNED SECOND, isn't it your job to stop me from worldbuilding so I can cook up a post in the IC section? But now you're encouraging me?!

Ahem, the topic for today is: MAGIC IN WARFARE
