Well even then just pissing someone off doesn't mean that they'll fuckin' kill ya for it. Just chill man, noone's gonna kill your char unless you're doing something obscenely dumb.

Sheriff Ives Warwick, that goddamned vigilante, has something personal against Walter in his pursuit of justice. Duke William Regan of Mercia just wants to see Walter burn because his grandfather blew up his duchy and Walter was the commander responsible for killing off 50,000 Mercians in the city of Colet.

Walter's so dead.

And then he sent pirate knights to attack the Oceanic League, that's the last straw man...

.....those are all characters that YOU wrote, if you don't want Walter to die you could just... not write them? You're digging your own hole man I dunno how to help here.
