Fantasy Seiunita OOC

Hey, remember Walter's exiled pirate knights? I've got additional plans for them!

They shall be called the Exiled and the Damned, a crew of excommunicated Elysian monk-knights who are paired with sea monsters that the Oceanic League has banished from their realm.
........ And they were banished because....?

........ And they were banished because....?

Hah, I was hoping you could help me with that since you're familiar with why the Oceanic League would vanish people in the first place.

What if these exiled sea monsters were banished because they were pirates who attacked merchantships? They would have escaped to the Northern Elysium ports where they bumped into Walter's pirate knights.

Sea monsters are non-sentient. The only "non-human" sentient species are the lizard-folk. Besides, the price of attacking merchant ships is death.

Well I'd say they must be pretty skilled to evade hunter fleets. I approve.

Awesome! This shall be the beginning of Boss Masson and his daring exploits against the Oceanic League. Walter may have executed the stupidest political disaster in recent times by sending pirates to attack the League, but this is gonna be so fun. Danger in the high seas, everyone!

Though wait, I'm going to have to tell you one thing about Elysian ships. They have mages which can fling explosive orbs of light at great distances. At least 300 meters or within the maximum range of the ballistas. I have to tell you this because I want my Elysian ships to be able to combat the League ships who have their own weapons, the Tempest flamethrowers. At long range, the Elysians will have the advantage, but at close range their goose is cooked.

Goddamn it, it also means I have to make his CS.

...

Grggh, I have 5 Character Sheets to make in total. I'm gonna be so busy.

Ballistas have a max range of 450m actually but good luck hitting anything at that range, not to mention that most of the power is lost. Naval doctrine states a range of at least 300m for ballistas.

Tempest flamers have a range of 100m if arced with a direct range of 30m. So I'd say its a fair fight.

Ah, I was planning for the Exiled and the Damned to have at least ten ships. One big "mothership" supported by four other warships for naval defense. Five small raiding vessels for fast hit-and-run attacks and to deal with merchantships.

WORK HARD!

Already am! I've got so much more to read and plan for this roleplay. I'm only human.

Hm.... That would be either a galleon or a frigate with 4 brigs and 5 schooners or gunboats.

Believable.

I plan for Walter's fleet to be small since he is more focused on land-based warfare. He delegates his naval warfare to Boss Masson. Is this fleet small? Too small or too big? And these ships were mustered by the Northern estates, who are required to build a number of warships for the use of their lord. But since the North isn't too big on the navy, Walter only managed to build a few ships, confiscate a few more, and then he called it a day.

I have more questions. Is there a pirate problem in the Oceanic League? This is because Boss Masson may be able to form an alliance with them so they can watch each other's backs... in a sort of cutthroat way.

Well my opening post is Lady Une dealing with the latest batch so.... Nah.

As for your fleet, I'd say have a frigate as the flagship with 4 brigs, 2 schooners and 3 gunboats. That would make sense.

... Tell me, what are Boss Masson's chances of survival?
Hm....
Against a Hunter brig: 90%
A fleet of two Hunter brigs: 70%
A fleet of a Hunter brig and two Schooners: 65%
A fleet of 4 Hunter Schooners: 60%
A Hunter Brig and a Blackscale Schooner: 45%
A Blackscale Schooner: 20% (At night or fog) 60% (Clear day)
A Hunter frigate: 80%
An Oceanian Galleon: 45%

Lady Une's personal fleet of the Illucidator (custom frigate with improved weapons), 2 frigates, and 4 schooners: 5%

Other factors include weather, location, and the Captains.

Good god, its Assassin's Creed mixed in with Pirates of the Caribbean.

Are merchantships in particular armed and deadly?

Well they have escorts. Usually schooners and frigates. Unless they are official Oceanian merchantships. Those are treated as regular naval ships. With less ammo and no Tempests.

I was summoned for something?

Read my quotes:

Good lord, guys, there are just so many things happening here that I am thinking of making a separate OOC thread so I can finally coordinate efforts to flesh out the lore of Seiunita. If I do not make it, I just want our GM, shadow, to do it.

As I see it now, Nogood has Elysium, shadow has the Dark kingdom, Wanda has the Oceanic League, and Anaxileah has the Earth kingdom. Faceless King here is the one making the map. Me and Eleph are working on Northern and Southern Elysium. There are just too many people working on different stuff, so it will be easier if I just brought them together...
Well, I mean that OOC thread will be the general place where we can discuss Seiunita's lore. And we will add links to the Private Messages so we can discuss specific topics with the kingdom's owners and the people who want to add improvements to the kingdom.

In short, I want to ask if we can have a separate OOC thread to discuss Seiunita's lore. And if even that gets crammed, we'll set up more PM chats for specific people to discuss even more obscure topics.

Ah, I already have plans for the captains of the 4 brigs. They shall be called... the Four Beards of the Sea. Whitebeard, Greybeard, Redbeard, and Yellowbeard. Two of them are just lizards who wear fake beards. These men shall be known to the crew as the BEARD BROTHERS.

And you know, I was briefly contemplating whether they would be able to use magic to make their hair fight for them. I mean, its cool to think that they can fight with their fashion statement.

Additional questions must be asked.

Is it possible to hire mercenaries from the Oceanic League even if you're a pirate?

And... my mind's tired so I'll ask if you have any questions from me.... ran out of ideas.
