Fantasy School of Elemental Arts

My name's Alex but that girl back there called me Zeus. I don't know if that was funny or not yet" he said with a smirk looking back at her. She seemed nice enough but Alex isn't the type to trust that easily

"I could call you lightning boy but I don't think you would enjoy that so much so Alex it is." She walked with his pace and looked up at the boy before tilting her head a little. He didn't look that much older than her but she could never tell with some people since there are some young looking people much older than what she is. Her face then flushed red when she realized that she was staring and she looked back ahead. "I'm so sorry for staring, that was incredibly impolite of me but just for refrence, how old are you?"

He smiled "Tomorrow. 6 AM. Courtyard" He said before holding out his hand and having an orb of darkness appear in his hand "It is possible" He said grinning

It kind of scared her, how powerful he was. The way he had done what she had been trying to accomplish for years without so much as a blink of the eye unnerved her, the fact that it felt like there was actual electricity in the air because of his aura scared the shit out of her. He could snap her in half if he felt like it. It was scary. But at the same time, kind of addicting and awesome and electrifying. She wanted to be that powerful one day, she wanted to learn how to master her power so she wouldn't have to live in fear with herself. So no one would have to live in fear of her.

"Alright, i'll meet you there Professer...?"

Marcus smiled and gave her a pat on the head "I may be the Grand Master, but I'm certainly no Teacher. I'm your friend. Call me Marcus, Vic" He said happily. "Go get some rest. Would you like me to show you to the dorms?"

I'm seventeen" he said smiling back. "I don't mind you staring but your face is a bit red for someone who controls water" he stated laughing. This girl seemed friendly enough, the other one though... he knew his whole life that light and dark didn't get along in the world but would elementals be different. This group was very strange to him. All of their powers could easily wipe each other out after all, lightning could fry water, and everyone knows that the darkest places reside on water and that darkness can put out light. "If you ask me, I think it's pretty cool that you can heal people with water and I like your weapon. Can you guess what mine is?" He asked smiling at her as they sat down at one of the island benches.

Even though she knew the last thing she would be doing was sleeping she nodded anyway.

"Yes please." She said, fighting a smile when he pat her on the head. Is this what it feels like to not be hated? It feels...Nice.

Marcus walked forward and opened the door "So Vic, you seem quite nervous around most people. You don't like being crowded. Did something happen to you as a child?"

Ouch. Is it that noticeable?

She nodded in thanks as she walked through the door and furrowed her eyebrows. Should I lie or tell the truth. Or something in the middle? Yea that sounds good.

"I was pretty different growing up, not a lot of people liked me so I just avoided everyone. Its kind of a habit at this point. Its a classic story. Small town plus a girl who can manipulate the darkness around her? It never ends well."

Marcus laughed a little "I was born with every power....It was so hard to control...I killed my own mother at childbirth due to the powers.....I understand how it is...To be hated...Feared....But just know you're safe around me. You're my friend. Not some freak"

"Shut up, even water elementals get embarrassed sometimes but I'm seventeen so that's a thing I guess." She sat down next to him and fixed her braids since they had gotten loose during the fight and flown all into her face during the battles. "My powers are nothing special but I'm actually a little drained from healing the other girl enough to move so that's a drawback so I don't use it often, only if I really need to." Of course her weapon was a good choice for her element she could stay back from enemies but defend herself with her dagger if needed. "I don't know what weapon you would use but using a staff would kinda make sense to channel electricity, but I'm probably very wrong."

I bet you didn't murder your parents in cold blood though. Its more than just my powers. I'm evil.

"Yea. It isn't a good feeling..." I say quietly, with a small smile. "Thank you. That means so much to me you don't know." She said honestly. "I'm glad I met you."

Marcus looked at her eyes "Thank you. You may not believe it...But you're a really good person. You don't want to hurt me for instance. You want to protect those you care about. I adore that."

I wish that were true.

"I guess ive changed quite a lot huh?" She said with a chuckle, casting her eyes away and mentally kicking herself when she felt her face start to burn hot under his gaze. What happened to her? She used to be good at this stuff. Now she's blushing like some anime schoolgirl.

"I should say the same about you. You are strong in your methods but it is clear that you aren't here to hurt anyone. You opened up a school to help those that thought they couldn't be helped..." She looked back up at him and met his eyes.

"I think that is very admirable."

He laughed before looking at her again "I opened this school for people like you. People who want to help others." He smiled "I think people like you are pretty damn awesome"

You have no idea what you're saying man.

She smirked and raised an eyebrow. "You have such a great view about people around you, you see the good in everyone. That's hard to do."

He nodded "You have that power too. I truly believe that." He stopped walking "Well, we're here"

Wish I had the power to make hallways longer, I was actually having fun.

"I wish I did, maybe then I would not have made the decisions i've made..."

She looked at the door and back at Marcus. "Thanks for walking me." She said with a smile.

He grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes with a serious look on his face "You do have that power. You trust me right? That's how I can tell." He smiled once again

Don't blush don't you do it, don't blush Vic you're doing good, don't- Dammit Victoria you had one job.

She felt her entire face engulf in heat and for the first time in her life she was glad that her power was Darkness, not fire. If it was who knows if she'd burn the place down.

I don't trust anyone. She wanted to say. She wanted to tell him everything so he would stop filling her up with false hope of what she could have been. But she couldn't. She couldn't tell anyone that. Thats the beauty of a secret.

"I-I..guess. I trust you so im going to go with what you said." She commented with a smile.

Marcus nodded and began to walk off giving a slight wave "If you ever want to visit, just call my name. I have my own personal void in time as a room, so nobody will bug us there if you need something" He said happily

She almost turned around and went into her dorm, but when she started thinking about tomorrow she realized that she can't run off of thirty minutes of sleep if shes going to effectivly do anything. "Wait! I- Uh... Do you have anything to help me sleep? I know its a weird question but I haven't been sleeping lately and I don't know how much longer I can run off of half an hour of sleep."

I know a great way you can keep her company.

Please don't, he's like 24.

She shook the thoughts away and contemplated it in her head. She really wanted to talk to him more and it'd be nice if he stayed with her, but she really didn't want to burden him with her problems. He had a school to run with hundreds of other students. She wasn't anything special.

"It would be nice but if you have stuff to do I understand because you're running an entire school here and who knows when i'll get tired you probably have stuff to work on and I think I said that already i'll shut up now." She bumbled out.

Rambling? Really?! I haven't done that in years. What is this man doing to me?

Marcus laughed "We're in a magical school. I'm sure I can find some time to create some..." He waved his hands in the air as sparks came off them "Magic"

Victoria laughed. "Thanks Marcus." She said with a smile. She had never felt this happy before, it was nice to have someone care for her. She would have to repay him one day.
