Just now, Mori-Jin said:

"What?" she asked blushing slightly, "I can't be nice all of a sudden?" She laughed on the inside, she shouldn't be nice. Her parents would be so disappointed.

He poked her cheek "Tell that to your cheeks" He said teasingly

(I'm sorry, I just needed to sleep since my sleep schedule is wrecked now.)

Kaylin stuck her left hand into the water and found it to be completely normal and that worried the girl. She dived back into the water and immediately saw him floating there, completely unconscious. She didn't have enough time to put a bubble around her head but she swam over to Alex and grabbed him and dragged him back up to the surface and placed him on the beachy area. Kaylin coughed up all of the water that she had in her system and went over to Alex and placed her hands on his chest and tried to absorb the water in his lungs and it was working but it was clearly affecting Kaylin and not in a good way.

(If you don't know what I am hinting at here, look up overhydration, that is a real thing)

"S-Shutup!" she swatted his finger away, turning around.

Marcus blinked slightly shocked "You don't have to be so nervous around me ya'know. Having someone in your heart doesn't make you weak. If anything it'll make you stronger."

She winced, those were, word by word, the exact same things her brother had said to her during training. He was, the only reason she wasn't currently a full blood seeking freak out on a murderous rampage.

Too bad he was currently dead.

"W-Whatever . . ." she muttered, turning back to him. "So what exactly does a god train for?"

He smiled "To protect people like you. The people we care about" He said happily

Victoria felt the stiffness in her muscles start to loosen and sighed in relief. She saw Kaylin giving Alex chest compressions' and cursed under her breath. "Oh for fucks sake." She muttered, standing up and crossing over to Kaylin. "You need help?" She asked, sitting/falling into a sitting position, next to Alex. She pressed her fingers next to his neck and felt his pulse. "Its there but its not too strong, can you heal him like you did with me in the arena or is it a bad idea to introduce more water into his system regardless?"

"Hm." she said, not completely understanding. If he was training to battle gods, did that mean that there was more than him and his brother? If so where did all of this put her. Gods, then people who control the elements, someone who had some of Marcus's energy pretty much making her part Demi-God. And then there was her, a girl holding a sword who didn't even know what her element was, not to speak about using it. "You think . . . you can train me?"

Kaylin coughed and she shook her head. "I'm trying to absorb the water out of his lungs but if I heal him then I might as well be putting water back in there." She felt her head pounding and she pulled her hands off Alex's chest when she had absorbed enough water into her body so that he would be okay. "He should have enough water out of his system to regain consciousness and get the rest of the water out on his own, I on the other hand need to get out this water." She ran off and puked the water and came back a few minutes later after she recovered and sat next to Victoria.

Vallen moved forward and placed his hand on Alex's chest. A thin coat of ash formed around his chest and moved upwards and down his throat in a long tendril of glowing green embers. steam rolled off the tendril and Alex coughed up the remaining water in steaming spurts.

"Cant have you dying just yet cutout" Vallen said patting Alex's chest

Victoria nodded and sighed, collapsing backwards on the sand, her hair fanning out from behind her.

"Good job team." She said sluggishly, lifting her head up and looking at Vallen fixing Alex.

"What are your powers? They're pretty cool."

"I'm part of a symbiotic relationship with billions of microorganisms" Vallen said opening his pack and checking if any of his equipment had been ruined "I can use them to manipulate matter and energy; the only downside is that they literally burn every form of matter and energy around to fuel themselves. They're basically another organ though, I'd die if they were destroyed and they cant live in any other hosts."

"Oh if only I paid attention in 7th grade science." She said with a chuckle. "It sounds really cool though. How did you come across them?" She asked curiously.
