I personally would like the hero with the bye bye birdie. Nova should happen down the line, perhaps maybe once Lapis upgrades her water bottle lol

No... water dust infused mechanism in her water bottle. It makes as much as demanded. That would kind of funny, seeing Lapis stand up to bullies.

That would give Lapis all the incentive she needed to just go tearing into the sky to save Bistre.

Right after it did the feather blades Bistre did a see-saw type thing forcing the bird down and herself up. Way up.

So she's not immediately falling behind the Nevermore.

She is the landing strategy. Plus those ground units about to get wiped out if she get's her way.
