She couldn't. If she did it anymore, than she'd...

But.

Looking at the injured female that she was talking to earlier in the cockpit, she knew that she'd hate herself forever for allowing herself to do this. But if it meant stopping this ship and maybe saving a few people, maybe it was worth it. The students at Beacon can defend themselves for a little while, and she's already worn out her body from maintaining the shards. Surely, surely it'll be fine.

Nodding her head affirmatively, she got what last reserves she had of her strength, to arrange shards of her own energy, creating a platform suspended a little from the window. It was obvious she was trembling now, and she sure as hell would appreciate a warm spa bath after this.

Clara's eyes softened with gratitude. Without wasting another second, she climbed out onto the makeshift platform, nearly getting knocked off by the wind being slammed into her. Her heart quickened rapidly, fear climbing through her. Forcing herself to look at the ship, she closed her eyes and held out her arms. Taking a deep breath, she focused and began to channel her energy to her hands.

Clara concentrated on the the thoughts and images of the other students, her family, their families. The anger that welled up in side her that someone had set out to kill these students.

When her hands began to feel warmer, she opened her eyes, now glowing gold and pushed the energy outward and into the ships structure and using this force, she pushed against it in an attempt to lift the ship up.

Immediately, she felt pain as she struggled against the several tons of mass. The Faunus cried out in agony, her knees wobbling, barely able to stand her ground. She felt the ship lurch back, a wave of energy rippling through the hull, groaning as the metal ground with the frame work.

Clara felt the air very slowly dying down and risked a glance behind her. To her horror, they were easily 30 or so seconds from hitting the trees to a dark green forest, edged by a huge cliff and several mountain areas.

Facing front once more, she gave one last attempt, her muscles burning in protest and pushed out her remaining energy. She screamed out again, letting her emotions escape her, her vision failing her as the ship slowed down even more until they hit the trees, slow enough to not kill anyone, too fast to call it safely.

Clara collapsed and was struck by a tree, knocking her completely away and threw her some distance deeper into the woods, hitting her head on a rock, causing her head to crack.

Snap

The barrier broke as the aircraft carrier roughly landed on the ground. Before May could pass out, something very familiar, but all too unfamiliar at the same time spurred from inside of her. And it sure wasn't "May."

"May" watched as the metal framework of the cockpit began to crush in on her. Before it could reach her, a twisted grin came over her face. She pulled out two small crescent shaped object. In the moment, it was a useless object, and if she didn't dodge, she was destined to get hit. However, appearing with an energy that is far from her own, there was a red glow around her as two blades shot out from the crescent shape from the gears, a red glow to the runes that lit up. Slashing them both in an X formation out in front of her, the metal would crush and slice under the ferocity of both blades, slicing as if it were paper. But due to the nature of the runes, the metal wasn't pushed out of the way, and merely fell around her, much to her intention. Unfortunately, for Jade who laid unconscious, bits of the metal landed dangerously close to her body, bound to leave her and suffocate her if the rest of the place collapsed.

"... tch."

Turning a harsh gave over to the unconscious body in the cockpit, "May" spat out onto her clothing with a disgusted appearance on her face. The soles of her shoes would squeak against the floor, Her head hurt, and her body felt insanely sore. But that's not what mattered right now. While her personality was far from gentle, there was a constant exponentially growing sense of panic and wariness around her, that everything was a threat. With the runes still growing red, she slashed out in front of her at the window and buttons, destroying the machinery past recovery and breaking open the window. Jumping out the window, she landed roughly onto the ground with a thud, rolling forward and back onto her feet. She was in the forest, and the area where the airship landed was barren. There weren't any Grimm around, which could be debated if that was a good or bad thing. "May" quietly strode forward, and there wasn't any site of the few that she saw earlier. With two blades drawn, she connected them together, and there would be a light where they both collided. Hoisting the massive sword over her shoulder, an unsettling grin was set on her face as she continued to walk through the forest.

June always loved walking alone.

Jade's eyes fluttered open slightly as the metal fell around her. She had no idea where she was. She remembered the fireball, then... Nothing. Where...? She tried to sit up, and two things happened. Firstly, she discovered that she'd apparently crashed through something after her aura was depleted, because her back and legs felt like they were sliced to ribbons. Looking around, she guessed that it was the glass that did it.

Second, she was strapped to the wall with a belt. That was at least easy enough to take care of. The metal pieces lying round were strange though. Too even to have just been broken off in the wreckage. It was like someone had cut through them and just left her there to die. "Okay, that's messed up." she muttered. She had no idea who would've done it either, which was worrying. Could have been anyone. Determined not to stay there any longer, she grabbed hold of the best scrap she could and started using it as a makeshift crutch.

At least her arms were working, even if her aura was depleted to the point where she couldn't even heal properly. Time to throw a party. She struggled to push some of the metal out of the way, barely managing to make a hole big enough to get through. The walls creaked again, caving in on themselves just a little more. "Oh, no. No no no. Nope." she started to limp towards the only real way out as quickly as possible. "I did not blow myself up just to be killed by a damn wall!" she said, reaching the opening just in time to get out with a whoop of triumph.

Her legs were covered in cuts, she had a splitting headache, and she was pretty sure she'd given herself some kind of internal damage. But she was alive. Alive! Can't kill Jade Woods that easy. She decided to avoid lying down since her back was such a mess, so she chose a direction at random and started to walk, yelling occasionally in case someone could hear her. If she didn't find anyone within half an hour, she'd go back and then choose a different direction. That was the plan.
"Hey, anyone out there? I'm from Beacon!"

Indigo woke up with a scream, then as he sat up he felt the most pain in his life rush his lower torso. Grunts and screams of pain were coming out involuntarily. He thought it was best to keep lying down. He couldn't sit up, he couldn't stand. "Hello? Is anyone in here? Jade? Kuro? Anyone?" He shouted, his voice hurt more with each syllable he shouted. He closed his eyes again, he noticed his aura was heavily low, not a good sign. He needed to rest and stay alive, no attempts to get up a that would damage his body too much. He opened his eyes periodically to see if anyone was coming, but his vision was blurry. He could feel a stabbing pain near his stomach and he realized it was a broken rib. He couldn't help but laugh inside, he never done that in his life and he felt amused as he was in pain. He made one final attempt to shout before closing his eyes for a long time, it wasn't a loud scream but it was still a scream.

Kuro groaned as he pulled himself from the wreckage of the ship. It seemed that the efforts of a small group were in fact successful in making a passable landing. By some stroke of luck, they had actually managed to slow the airship enough that they would survive. However, the airship was entirely destroyed. Peices of it spread across the newly created field in an otherwise pristine forrest. If it had not been for the clearing made by the crash, there might not have been as much light touching the ground. The canopy created by the trees that were still standing was almost completely impenetrable.

Not only was this forrest amazingly pristine, but it had a certain air too it. Rather it had a lack of air. Everything was still. The leaves were still and there no sound of running water or wind. Not even creaking metal from the crashed ship save for the few pieces Kuro threw off. Needless to say, the landscape was eerie.

Kuro finally pulled himself to his feet. Although glad to be on solid ground again, the circumstances were less than favorable. With a few taps of his cane, a red flag sprung to life in the back of his mind. A few more taps only worsened the feeling. It was as if the ground he stood on was hollow. Not only that, but everything around him was flat, nearly perfectly flat. The trees were abnormally straight and regular in their growth, even showing patterns. Finally, in his pondering, Kuro felt a heat at his back that was not there before.

In one smooth motion, Kuro drew his blade from its sheath and swung around to attack. His blade caught only air, but he could feel the heat transferred to the metal as if he had held it over a fire.

A low gravelled voice growled in front of him spoke with a slight laugh. It was a voice that could be easily mistaken as a higher power or as a temptation. One might even mistake it as their own mind scolding them or provoking emotion. "Perceptive."

Kuro tapped the sheath he still held in one hand against the ground, but it revealed nothing to him. Whatever the owned that voice was not connection to anything terrestrial. Unknown to Kuro, the being that had previously been standing in the cockpit of the airship was before him.

A hulking mass still covered in embers and surrounded by smoke. He stood in tattered cloth with heavy chains around his body as if he had pulled them from a wall that had previously held him in place. His hood remained intact of all things and hid the entirety of his face save for two burning eyes and an inhuman smile that seemed to to wrap around the entire face.

The voice continued, and Kuro felt his world suddenly vanish. He tried to tap his sheath oce again and regain the picture of the landscape, but found no ground beneath him. He wasn't falling, everything around him simply ceased to exist. "Now, face your fear." Before Kuro could respond, the feeling of flames englufed his face as he finally felt the weight of his own body once again now being torn upwards. In the most terrifying turn, Kuro could see clearly.

Through the flames that covered his sight, he saw that face. The jagged grin at the end of a long fiery arm that held him up burned into his memory. Whatever this being was, it would never leave him. To his horror, the grin grew larger under its shadowy veil as if this thing felt and fed off the fear Kuro was experiencing.

The flames began to choke him before finally experiencing a falling sensation, no, the sensation of being thrown as his vision cut to black again. His back connected with solid ground an instant later and Kuto began coughing violently. He sat up, having been laid out in the ground. Had that actually just happened or had he just landed on his head? Before Kuro could try to logically answer that question, he noticed a lack of weight on the bridge of his nose. After a quick inspection by reaching up and feeling his face, Kuro took note that his sunglasses were gone. The more disturbing realization came when he felt the marks of scorched plastic around his face. Perhaps it could have come from the crash, but the world still wasn't right.

Everything was still to symetric. Furthermore, Kuro could see that evil face. Never in his wildest fever dreams had he ever encountered anything like that. No, something happened and that thing was responsible. It had crashed the airship intentionally to bring them here. But why?

Before Kuro could even register it, he was running. He was running away from the wreckage and into the unknown. This kind of fear hadn't gripped him in years. After running for what seemed like an eternity, his mind was finally jerked away from its instincts of flight.

He had still been tapping his cane along the way against any surface he could find. Otherwise he would run into a tree. However, in this hollow world something stood out. There was in fact something solid. After some heaving breaths to calm himself, Kuro let his curiosity take slowly.

He followed the path toward the object carefully. Upon getting closer, he finally realized what it was. After picking up his pace, Kuro came across what he assumed was another student that had survived. They felt familiar, like someone from the group that he had seen on the airship. She had the same build as one of them, although the posture suggested otherwise. Still, it was someone.

"Hey!" Kuro raised his voice, trying to make himself known to the other student. Odds are, they would be just a distraught as he was. Perhaps they had even seen that fiery face with the terrible grin. Kuro stood up, against his better instincts, to make himself more visible as well. He would need a real set of eyes to try and make sense of all that was going on so the risk was worth taking. Soon after his own, other calls rang out through the forrest.

Kuros heart lightened slightly knowing that he wasn't entirely alone.

Indigo was now entirely asleep. You'd be surprised to find how many times he'd close his eyes sitting down only to awaken on his back in a fetal position. He's a heavy sleeper and will continue to be one, it helps with his aura and he trained himself to lucid dream, to train in certain scenarios that his mind creates for him.

Clara lay lifeless on the mossy ground where she landed, crimson blood seeping from her head, soaking the ground underneath her. Occasionally she would drift in and out of conciousness but couldn't stay awake.

She dreamed of her parents and how she remembered being happy with them, living in their small home in the hills. She remembered waking up each day, her father having made a huge breakfast for the family and how excited she was.

Her dreams kept replaying her fondest memories from as far back as she could remember.

Is this it? Did I go overboard? Am... Am I dying?

Her thoughts turned to darkness before playing back the day she lost her parents.

Clara was walking home from practising in the forest. She'd recently celebrated her 15th birthday and from her father, she had been given the two swords she carries with her to this day. The Faunus wanted to get strong, to prove to her father that she wasn't weak.

After leaving the tree line, Clara saw smoke billowing out over the hill. Her eyes wide, breath panicking, she sprinted home only to find the place burned to the ground.

Overcome with distraught, she fell to her knees and sobbed. The only people to care about her were ripped away. She blamed herself for not being strong enough to protect them. As guilt and anger swelled up, she screamed out, her eyes glowing gold.

The ground shook beneath her, the energy within herself lashing out at everything. The already burned wood of the house groaned before disintegrating. Clara had unlocked her semblance, which has just obliterated everything around her in her grief.

For several minutes after, she sat on her knees, staring into the ground, blaming herself for leaving that morning. Gently holding her tail, which seemed to bring a small amount of comfort, Clara got up and left, leaving the scene and soon to be her past behind her.

After the vision faded away, she passed out on the blood soaked ground once more.

Joseph rode his hoverboard at a mildly slow pace to a group of people he's seen around the ship. He didn't seem to have any type of wounds on him, so far as they can see that is. The group could only assume that his landing plan went fine since he used a hover board. He stopped his board and got off. He steps on the back end having it pop up to him. He catches the board and it changes back into a bat. He spins the bat and puts it in its case on his back. He guys, is everyone alright? Is anyone dead??

Jade was starting to regret her decision to enter the forest. There were so many roots and leaves everywhere that she was finding it almost impossible to walk with her crutch. She'd fallen over a few times, which had led to eyes watering with tears and an impressive amount of curses screamed out into the woods. At this point, it was impressive that she was even staying conscious. Right now, she was staying conscious on stubbornness alone.

She'd found herself stopping near a pile of rocks, one of them having a shallow puddle shining on the top of it. Curious, she limped over and looked at her reflection. As she expected, the face that looked back at her was pretty beat-up. She looked like she hadn't slept in months, combined with a pretty nasty-looking cut across one of her cheeks. Hopefully it wouldn't scar too badly once her aura got back to normal.

She stood there for a few minutes, hoping that maybe she'd wake up or something. Man, what was with this? How'd things get so messed up so fast? What'd they done to deserve anything like it? She was lost in thought until she heard a noise quite close to her, a mix between a yell and a scream. She hobbled towards the source of the noise as fast as she could.

"Sapphire?" she said, as she reached the guy who'd made the noise. Honestly, of all people she'd have preferred to avoid the one who'd accused her of blowing the ship up, but you take what you can get. Looked like he was asleep. Great. Normally, she could carry him back towards the ship, but not right now. Instead, she decided to poke him awake with her crutch. "Wake up, moron. And I swear, if you-" she broke off into a coughing fit. "If you even think about asking whether I did it again, I will kick you so hard that your great-granddad feels it, got that?"

"Hey!"

June stopped. While there was a part of her that wanted to turn around and gasp in relief that someone else was there, the more dominant impulse to flee was present. She gripped the sword harder, with her back still faced to the guy.
Please don't was what she thought she had heard faintly, but why in hell would she do that? This man could be an enemy, this man could kill her, and why would he provide mercy? It's a fight-or-flight world, and if you can't do what, you're bound to die in this world. At least, that's what she thought.

The colour of the runes faded after the period of long non-use. She needed to reload if she wanted something, but June had the upperhand right now. It would surely ruin their relationship, make him more wary, serve as some sort of defensive barrier for herself if she ever was going to be attacked. Spinning around, there was a twisted grin on her face far from something calm as she had spoken before, but something all too bittersweet.

"BURN IN HELL, PRETTY BOY!"

Psychotically shouting as she ran forward, there was a quick trail of dust and grass that trailed closely behind her feet into the air as she thrusted forward, a massive sword being slashed out in front of her. If closely looked, it wasn't just dust and grass that trailed behind, but red, rose-like petals that had a dim glow would form in the air as well. But something seemed awfully temptingly dangerous about that gentle glow, and the "petals" would fly forward along with her as she ran, growing sharper, as if the air were scraping against it. What pretty shards.

Before she would hit, as if expecting something, a bright light flashed in between the sword, allowing her to split it in half, Flying apart from each other, she swiftly gripped onto both handles and immediately diverted her direction from her original stance, sending two blades in an assymmetrical formation in front of her. June was good at fighting, and in fact, it might as well been the only thing she could've done.

I wonder what May would do.

@Rozalski

"BURN IN HELL, PRETTY BOY!"

Kuro unsheathed his blade slightly the moment the girl began her charge. The only reason he stopped was the tinge in the back of his mind. It was reminder. Kuro had promised never to draw his blade against an innocent soul, not even for a friendly duel. An innocent life had already fallen to this blade, and it haunted him. Never again.

Kuro locked his blade away once again. Even though this student had decided to attack him, she wasn't evil. It was entirely possible that the traumatic events of the airship crashing and maybe even the burning man could have set her on edge. Whatever the reason, she was approaching quickly with intent to fight.

Kuro's only choice was to try and survive long enough for her to come around and see logic. He gathered himself, letting her come ever closer. His cane was planted firmly in the ground, and he felt every second closing between his own body and hers. She showed no signs of stopping, in fact she affirmed her commitment. Still, something didn't feel right. The girl's weapon changed form, and that was Kuro's signal to act.

He finally removed his cane from its grounded position and flourished is quickly, making contact with one blade briefly. That brief touch acted as just enough continue his momentum. His body twisted hard to the right, trying avoid collision. However, the second blade caught his back and easily tore through the leather of his jacket. The edge only barely grazed across his skin, but still split it all the same. With a loud grunt, he completed his maneuver. With the blades finally clearing his body, Kuro stumbled a few steps right of the girl before driving his cane into ground and vaulting his body around it to face her again.

"Listen to me!" His words came out pained as he felt the burning sensation across his back and a slow warmth spreading downward from it. "You and I were both on the airship! I'm not your enemy!" From his position, Kuro locked his gaze on the girl. His eyes would do him no good, but with any luck he would appear more human to her. The surface of his dull grey eyes were entirely still and worked against this plan, however. Kuro's body braced for another attack that was likely to come.

@Entarriance

A soft and carefree yawn echoed through the airship's crushed hull. A young man licked his lips as he slowly stood up. He had been awake for the announcement - yet he had merely remained in his seat as the other students panicked and attempted to jump out. Of course, it was entirely likely that this situation was simply just a test by the academy. He had resolved himself not to answer to that supposed call for action. Rather, the young man had faith in the other occupants - that they'd be able to land the ship with their Semblances and skills. It was obvious that his gambit had paid off.

With a soft sigh, he got up on his feet and began to walk through the ruined vessel's interior. What had once been a leisurely environment for the socialization of prospective students was now largely abandoned. A hand slowly tapped on stocks of each of his weapons - at least he hadn't lost them in the crash landing. The bastard cracked his neck and stretched out each arm before strolling over towards an emergency exit. It seemed that the force of the impact had already sheared off the door.

"Ahhhh, fresh air. I suppose I should take a look around and search for other passengers. Maybe I'll stumble on some hidden camera or something too." Once more, doubt. While he hadn't heard of such an initiation in his research of Beacon, it seemed like the sort of thing that the school would do. After all, they were being turned into soldiers destined to do battle against forces beyond human comprehension. Things that went bump in the night and only wanted to see your body torn into red ribbons of carnage.

It only took a few moments before he stumbled upon two others. Who were locked in what seemed to be a life-or-death battle. There was a swordsman who looked to be older than him, at least on first glance. The second combatant, with her manic single eye and the glittering fragments that trailed behind her, was likely another student that had been caught up in the crash.

"Listen to me! You and I were both on the airship! I'm not your enemy!"

Those were the words that the swordsman shouted, would it be a futile attempt at reasoning? For a brief moment, the young man considered jumping in. It was clear that the girl had been the aggressor given his words. Yet, perhaps things would be more interesting if he simply watched. Not from a safe distance of course, any information he could gather upon the two would end up being useful sooner or later.

A soft, smug smile slowly crept onto the violet youth's face as he folded his arms and walked into the fray with an unsettling amount of nonchalance. The foolish young man leaned up against a nearby tree and watched. Introductions could come later. For now, he'd simply watch. From within striking distance.

Sapphire heard a familiar voice in his dream, he was about to beat 4 people at once with fair rules in his dream world. When she poked him, he woke up a little mad at her, he couldn't get up normally without any assistance and felt he couldn't stand up until he waited a bit more.. "That was a joke, come on. And Iiiii look really bad, like I hit a tree or somethin'." He looked to his left, a broken tree was laying down pointed towards him. He also noticed multiple tears in his blue uniform. "Oh... I did hit one. Mind helping me up?" He doubted the question as soon as he said it.

@Dragonfry

Jade looked at the guy on the ground. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to stay standing well enough to help him up, but might as well try. Sticking the piece of metal into the dirt, she leaned on it and held out a hand. "This is about as much as I can do right now." she muttered. He'd have to walk on his own, since she was already struggling to stay conscious.

She wasn't sure how much blood loss counted as a medical emergency, but she figured it wasn't far off. The back of her jacket was barely intact - how the sleeves had survived, she had no idea. If it was anyone else, they'd have taken it off a long time ago, but she could go without her secret being discovered as well as everything else that had gone wrong today.
"The airship's back that way if you've got no other plans." she continued, nodding her head back in the direction she'd come from.

What's with this guy was what her first thought was. She did expect a blow back, but instead, she got the fact that the man was trying to reason with her.

"Listen to me! You and I were both on the airship! I'm not your enemy!"

Scowling at the words he muttered, one of the two blades that she held would collapse into a gun about the size of half the length of her arm. While June wasn't manically smiling anymore, there didn't seem to be anything in her eyes that would hint at her stopping. Aiming the gun at him, June simply replied to his statement. Her tone was a lot more roguish and rough, comically but significantly deeper than if she were to "speak normally" in this case. No way in hell was she going to ever admit to being anyone else, but from even her posture, the way she spoke, and intent glare in her eye, it's obvious that
this was a different person. Due to the fueled exhaustion from earlier, her body moved slower than she always intended it to, her movements not as fast, not as fluid, not as harmful as she wanted it to be. It frustrated her, but if June ended up dying in a battle that "she" didn't want to wage, maybe it would be better off that way.

"... tch. You guys are allwaayss the same. 'I'm not your enemy!' 'We're in the same neighborhood!' What fucking bullshit."

It made no sense, it sounded more like a personal story than anything else. June blindly fired multiple times among Kuro's general direction, and whether or not she hit at this point didn't matter. She needed for him to either fight him or flee, and typically, it was funner if he fled. His pacifistic method for now confused her, though she didn't back down her violent approach, as always. While each shot sliced through the air, the red shards that had collected around her feet began to spin, before
exploding outwards violently from her body, hitting pretty much everything. But with whatever strength that she had, it was painfully obvious that it was straining her to some degree as well. The shards exploded outwards violently, similar to the shrapnel damage caused by a grenade. Once it hit a tree, it dug deeply into it's bark, nearly enough to go straight through, before fading away. Who knows how that would hit someone's skin? Maybe it would even hit a passerby, but of course, she didn't notice. (@GasMaskie )

She didn't seem to give any break in between as the shards exploded, that was a mark for her to charge back forward. There seemed to be a pattern of her nearly hitting him head-on, before she'd manuever elsewise. June tossed both of her weapons up a little bit before hitting him, and jumped up with her feet nearly slamming against Kuro, but a good chance that she didn't if he was capable of just backing away. Grabbing both weapons as they began to fall due to the pull of gravity, June used that same pull to propel herself downwards to hit him, as well as shoot at him from above.

@Rozalski

He took the hand and shot up, standing with a fully clenched hand where his stomach is. "Thanks, let's find other survivors. And we should also try to get Beacon to notice us." He started to walk slowly with his pistol out and loaded in his left hand.

He never noticed, but he looked cooler than he was in his uniform. A sort of design scratched on his shirt that looked like a fox, it was crimson red due to bleeding. He liked the design very much, such a beautiful accident.

Jade nodded. "Okay. Let's look around here a little more, see if we can find anyone else. Just yell as loud as you can, see if someone hears us, I guess." with that, she started to limp along ahead of him, shooting him a slight grin as she walked past. She decided to follow Sapphire's example, pulling out one of her own weapons in revolver form as she headed back into the woods.

As loudly as she could, she started yelling.
"Hey! Anyone out there!? We're from the airship! Hello!?" she kept going like that, only occasionally being interrupted by a fit of coughing or a pained grunt. Still, no point in stopping until they reached the airship. Jade was holding out hope that they wouldn't miss anyone, but there wasn't much more she and Sapphire could do.

Her eyes opened slightly, the daylight seeping through the crack between her eyelids. It seemed to still be daylight judging by the brightness but she couldn't see anything, her vision blurred.

This was one of the countless times she'd regained conciousness since cracking open her head from being thrown to the side. Her hair soaked with blood, turning her golden hair a dirty maroon red, she lay there, unable to move. Her body felt weightless, as if her body was floating in the air.

Her faunus ears twitched to the sounds in the forest, the birds chirping, leaves blowing with the wind. Clara tried to groan but she couldn't find her voice.

W-Where....where am I? Am I dead?

Her eyes closed as she drifted off again.

For what seemed only seconds later but which in turn was at least 10 minutes, she regain conciousness again, her eyes opening a little wider, her vision clearing up. Clara went to move her head, instantly regretting it as a sharp pain erupted from the back. After letting the pain dull down, she reopened her eyes and stared at the tree line above her.

As the Faunus lay there, she began hearing noises, at first thinking they were her own but after focusing on them, they sounded more like shouting coming from the forest itself. Is...that people...searching for us?

She attempted to call out, her voice still refusing to cooperate, her throat felt like it was burning. Instead, she decided to try and reach out another way, using her semblance. At first, she felt nothing, as if all her energy burned up when trying to lift the airship but she kept concentrating. I can't let myself die here.. As a faint slither of energy presented itself, she grabbed it and moulded it as best she could, giving her circumstance.

In her mind, she sought out the closest small object, being a stone the size of a coin and sent it flying, mentally pushing it as hard as she could towards the direction the sound was coming from. She silently begged it went far enough to even attract the slightest bit of attention as once again, she fell unconscious, completely drained of her strength.

Kuro held his ground as the girl shouted and made her next move. She obviously wasn't in her right mind from what he had seen earlier. She said something about a neighborhood but that was inconsequential for the moment. The girl let loose a volley after transforming her weapon again. Her aim was off significantly, though. Many of her shots tore past him while a few others grazed his body, leaving new marks across his skin and holes in his clothing. Still, Kuro was determined.

This fight was entirely one sided, and Kuro had always been taught one thing is always certain about a one sided fight. There is always an alternate motive. Today, the motive was his own. He wouldn't fight, but would win this encounter.

An explosion eminating from the girl forced Kuro to brace himself. He could feel the world around him turn into white static momentarily before finally finding his opponent's figure, charging forward again. This time, she had decided not to take the extra weight of her weapon. Instead, she truly was hurling herself at him.

Kuro grimaced and placed the end of his cane behind him. Moments later, feet connected with his chest. All air escaped his lungs as his cane drove hard into ground from the impact. Thankfully, she intended to take to the air rather than press forward.

On the other hand, Kuro cursed mentally. She was off the ground and therefore far from his means of detection. His only clue was the sound if her reconnecting with her weapon. She did intend to follow this fight to the end. Rather, Kuro's end.

In his own mind, time had stopped. He was at an impasse. He could easily just pull his sword and let the girl land on it. That, however, would break his vows. On the other hand, his doom would be at hand if she continued her attack and he did nothing. Eventually, even if he avoided this attack, she would follow up and score a fatal stroke. These thoughts burned hot, but not as hot as the flames that had temporarily restored his sight. That maniacal grin from under that hood still pained his very existence. Its words vexed him as well. What fears was he facing?

Kuro released his cane for a moment and let his jacket fall off of his shoudlers. He kept hold of the collar before it fell and promptly threw it in the air, splaying the fabric out I'm the breeze. It would function as a decent enough smokescreen. With a quick roll, Kuro avoided the main attack that was meant to befall him but still caught a few of the shots raining from above.

Coming to his feet, he felt the fabric of his now stained white shirt smoldering from where the girl's shots had landed. She had burned his lower left stomach fairly well. His mind still wandered. What fears were there to face? Was this one? Was he meant to draw his blade against her? No, that wasn't a fear. That was his commitment. His blindness? But he had come to terms with it now. What did he fear, then?

The answer came to him like a flash of light. It was obvious. Kuro feared his own failure. His ultimate defeat would lie in the fate of never completing his goal and never attoning for his master's death. There was no real way to face that except...

Kuro sighed and slowly pulled his blade from its sheath. He dropped the sheath at his feet before thrusting his sword down into ground. His hand left the handle and the world around him disappeared. He was truly blind now, but now knew exactly where he was.

Kuro dropped his head slightly and tightened his fists at his side's. He wouldn't move. He wouldn't fight back. He would only hope that his guess was right. The air was so still. Even if he was wrong, it was fitting enough to end here. It didn't stop his body from shaking though.

The air whistled as a lethal projectile hurtled in all directions of from that woman's position. For a split second, he had considered using his Semblance. A power born from the sheer force of his personality. An ability that allowed him to dominate his own flow of time. Yet, he didn't. He tilted his head slightly, allowing the shard that shredded through the forestry to approach. It produced a thin line in his cheek the soon bubbled with red ichor before the embedding itself deep within the tree that he had been leaning up against.

It had been a while since the last attempt on his life, yet he remained just as desensitized to violence. A fingertip traced the cut as he wiped the droplets of blood away from the fresh wound. He moved to another tree closer to the skirmish. The young man smiled as he watched the man submit himself - even after her continued assault he wished for peace. Or perhaps, this was an insult. The woman was incredibly aggressive with her attacks, she had taken advantage of his currently passive style. If she was someone who truly craved a fight the act of submission could be seen as a denial of their source of pleasure.

He drew the darker of his weapons and popped the revolver chamber open. His eyes scanned the small color indicators of the six bullets currently loaded. If push came to shove, he would intervene. It seemed like a shame for that man to die without revealing what he was truly capable of. One step forward. With his position, he'd be able to close the gap easily. The young man had decided against bringing extra rounds, but even in his worst case scenario he wouldn't need to reload. His eyes narrowed as he continued to observe the situation.

Jade was definitely caught off guard when the stone hit her in the face. Right on the cut. Ow. That thing had just stopped bleeding, too. "Seriously? That's the second time of the day something's..." she paused. That was right. It was the second time something had been sent flying into her face today. It seemed like a long shot, but.. She turned to look at Sapphire, yelling to him. "I know it sounds strange, but go on ahead, okay? I just wanna check something out! We can meet up again at the airship, promise!"

She started to limp in the direction the rock had come from, ignoring the fresh waves of red that had started oozing down her cheek. She hoped that she was right about this. It wouldn't matter if it was just her, but she'd have felt guilty if she'd made Sapphire take a detour. From the looks of his shirt, he hadn't had an easy time of it either. Hopefully she hadn't made anything worse for the guy. At least if she told him to go, it was his choice if he decided to follow her.

It wasn't long before Jade saw the unconscious girl on the ground. She wasn't sure if her guess had been right until she saw her face. When she recognized her, Jade felt her stomach twisting in concern. Clara, and badly hurt. Blood. There was blood all through her hair. Jade knelt down next to her. The younger girl was out cold.
"Clara? You gotta wake up. Come on!"

It was only when Jade started examining the smaller girl's head to find the wound that she noticed the ears. Well, the other ears. So, she was a faunus, huh? Jade would have time to think about that later. Right now, she needed to find some way to stop the bleeding, or at least make sure that the injury wouldn't get worse. Fabric, a bandage. But the only thing she had was her jacket, and taking that off... Well, Clara would know. So would anyone else that happened to see her.

She mentally slapped herself.
What was more important to her? Keeping a secret or another student's life? She couldn't believe she'd actually had to ask herself that. She took off the jacket, revealing her arms. They were actually surprisingly sleek, with armour plating designed to move quickly and quietly. Circuits of dust glowed in different colours throughout the design, all hooked up to her nerves.

Jade sighed, wrapping the wound with her jacket as best as she could.
"Just don't freak out too much when you wake up, okay?" she muttered at the unconscious faunus. Maybe that was a little too hopeful, but she could explain it later. Much later. When no-one was bleeding.

June was confused. The guy threw down his weapons, as if saying no to fighting. This, was a first. Everyone that June approached at least ran, screamed, or tried to kill her as a response, and that was well expected. How come this individual is refusing to? Nonetheless, it gave her the chance to move otherwise. But something about it made her feel distantly uncomfortable. With the ones surrounding her gone, June short jumped into the air. A larger red fragment formed parallel to the ground, and she used it as a ramp to launch herself from the air towards him. The blade she held in one hand was pressed hard against Kuro's neck, enough to make him bleed if she pressed down any harder, and the gun was up against his forehead, her hand on the trigger. She typically didn't feel any reluctance to stop now, and shooting would just make it easier for her. But she felt irritated with something, and she spoke through gritted teeth.

"... why won't you fight?! Damnit!!"

June was pissed. Her existence derived from those that had hurt her, and as they say, "an eye for an eye". This person could well enough serve as a threat in the future, she could be making a wise decision to end him here before he'd ever be capable of doing something like that. It could save her, at least, or maybe the moment that she let go, he'd end up using that to his advantage. There were so many things that could happen, but with this man not serving as a danger to her, there wasn't a reason for her to kill him on the spot. And that irritated her. Perhaps she can lead him to an indirect cause of death? But...

Her head throbbed. Letting the hold that she held against him go, the fragment-made ramp would break apart, and launch towards Kuro's body. But rather than hit him, it hit around him, aiming to pin him to one of the trees, objects, anything else really. It wasn't the best choice of "pins", seeing how they lodge themselves pretty far and fast into something, but it was the only thing she had. Dropping her own weapons, June came to realize that he himself was trembling, and it was a feeling that she was all too familiar with.

"Coward, are you incapable of understanding what a fight is?! You're just as impotent as your eyes can even see. Perhaps if you won't face confrontation, someone else will."

She didn't exactly have a sixth sense, but there was an uneasy tension among the silence that there was someone there. If it were only Kuro, it would've been dead silent, even breathing would have disrupted it. Her hearing wasn't so acute that it could detect little things as that. This aggravating sense that someone else was there, but she could neither confirm it or deny it, nearly everything around her ticked her off right now. But that's good, because if the pacifist wouldn't fight, surely there was someone else bound to be a threat to her. June will find a reason, no matter how far-fetched it is, to see the danger in someone else.
