Jinie looked at Leone when he asked the question. She had not really expected these kinds of questions this early in the meet-up. She thought these things will be asked once everyone had settled in with their new partners and teams but she didn't really mind, as she had no reason to hide her background. She actually didn't have much to say about it either.
"Well, I'm from Mistral. I can't really say much about my life as there is nothing really interesting and important. All I know is that I have been lonely since most people sees me as... someone who is not likeable." she told him, thinking of her last description carefully. She actually started liking the word delinquent as it has been used to describe her way too often. "I did hope it was going to change here." He nodded at her before telling her about his own story. It seemed he was a thief back then. 'A thief of thieves, huh?' she thought. She smiled which slowly turned to a chuckle then into a soft laugh. She found Leone rather interesting. At least he had more experiences in life than her. This was another reason why she wanted to be a huntress. She wanted to make the most of her life.

"Ain't that grand?" she told him, grinning at him before playfully punching him at his shoulder. She did not really care if he was a thief before and besides, he was some good kind of thief. "I wish my life was as exciting." she finished, a slight hint of sadness in her voice.
He focused on her blue eyes with his green ones, and smiled slightly. "And why wouldn't you be likeable, Jinie?" he asked curiously. "I think you are quite likable." he said truthfully. "But it has changed!" he said, stepping infront of her. "I mean, we're friends!" he grinned as she began to laugh at the story he told of his life. He quite liked her laugh, soft and light, like wind almost, "Quite grand indeed," he replied teasingly as she punched him in the shoulder playfully. He frowned at that last comment, however. "Never say that. From my.... line of work, it comes with experience that wishing for excitement more often than not gets you the worst kind of exci-" he never got to finish his sentence. A large form came barreling out of the bushes, knocking him over, roaring at him, while he held its massive white fangs away from his throat with his hands. "I told you!" he called, grunting with the effort of holding the beast off him.

RAZORTOOTH

One could say Schizo was reckless but he was consistent, he clashed once again with the Ursa, just from that clash the slight difference in size gave the Ursa a better chance than it's peer. It swung it claw knocking Schizo away causing him to smile in respect "Okay friend lets" he reconstructed Tamashi into a golden gauntlet then walked calmly as the Ursa charged "The roles have reversed." as the Ursa went for the attack Schizo started to lose his humanity causing his posture to become animalistic, he simply dodged the attack and strikes with enough force to know it back then leaping towards and proceed to smash it's skull into the ground. Knowing there was another he looked around but saw nothing, unsatisfied he searched and turns out it didn't go far, Schizo climbed into a nearby tree then launching out and hammering down on the Ursa skull. Standing up he sighs seeing as he wasted energy when he could have just killed them with ranged attacks, he relaxed himself and proceeded on his mission. Only to be confronted by a Boarbatusk it rolled at great speed, Schizo put out both of his hand and once it reached him his glowing yellow aura appeared and he tossed the grimm in the air then shooting it three time while it was air born then walking off like a badass.

Meanwhile, as Sequioa began to run through the forest, something could be heard behind her, growling, and heavy footfalls. The beast let loose a roar, as it lunged, attempting to slam into her back and knock her over.

He asked her how she was not likeable. She was amazed by how he did not judge by looks. She jabbed a finger on his chest. "Let's leave it at that." she winked, knowing he would probably find it out soon enough. He stood in front of her, stating how things have indeed changed and how they were friends now. Her smile just grew wider at what he had said. She has to admit, her life is becoming better just on the first day. However, his smile faded at her last statement. Did she say something wrong? He commented on how she shouldn't be asking for excitement but before he could finish his speech, a Grimm attacked him. She huffed. Next time, she will be more aware of her surroundings as not to receive any more surprise attacks.

She tackled the Razortooth off of him, mumbling a sorry as she ended up dropping on him after the tackle. She then proceeded to getting back up her feet and bring her elbow down at the side of the creature, the lower blade of her weapon slicing it. "Teamwork practice!" she exclaimed, returning to his side before the Grimm could regain its balance.

What others would call a heavy sprint Sequoia referred to as a light jog, that being without even breaking a sweat. With her animalistic genes, she was made for running. Her red hair was now in messy twisted tendrils from the launch, and her high endurance was beginning to show the slightest bit of tiredness. That was when she heard a rumbling to the side of her, in the distant foliage of a large green shrub. With hearing equivalent to that of a deer (for obvious reasons), Sequoia turned her head and stared the bush down with piercing blue eyes. Here we go!

Her hands clenched into fists, glowing a bright blue light similar to her eyes, and transformed into large black Mecha arms/hands. Sequoia smiled, obviously ready for a fight. A roar came from the foliage, practically deafening the deer hybrid. Because she was fully expecting it, Sequoia shoved her large Mecha hands in front of her as the black and white blur came charging. It slammed into the open and pressed together black palms, barely moving Sequoia back a quarter of an inch. That was when she could see what this thing was. "Well aren't you so big and scary?" She teased in a demeaning tone. The beast hissed something awful, its breath badly in need of freshening.

The black Grimm had only flashes of white, that being swathes of white spines on the hind leg and shoulder sockets. It bore a white mask, adorned with sharp red stripes and ruby red eyes lacking any pupil. It was very feline, and would make anyone think of the extant beast called sabertooth. Sequoia gave it a fierce look and jerked her arms back, and, within a split-second, shoved them back forward, a sharp crack coming from the Razortooth as it flung backwards and landed with a thud. It twitched before jumping up suddenly, once again charging at Sequoia.

She jumped up to avoid the beast by shoving a Mecha fist hard into the ground, sending a small shockwave all around her and the Grimm. It ran into the tree behind her with a hiss. Standing behind the beast, large black hands hung low, Sequoia let out a small laugh before jumping off into the trees. The Razortooth stood for a couple moments, confused and dumbfounded. Next then did the Faunus girl appear with a bright light, an energy filled mechanism with bright yellow, red, and green lights following. The device was connected to her, thick cords curled around her thin hands.

Energy surged from the metal-plated sickles, as Sequoia floated merely inches off the ground via a blue fire winged jetpack-like mechanism on her back. With a heavy machinery kick, a surge of colored energy cannon fired out of the sickles, the Razortooth flying back once again. It hit the tree behind it for a second time with another crack. And it stopped moving. With a smile, Sequoia floated over and shoved a sharp sickle through its meaty side, dark ichor spraying out. Sequoia merely smiled as her weapon disappeared with a bright flash of light.

Because of her running, she was probably well ahead of everyone else, so she could spare some time with petty confrontation.

Yuri cracked his fingers. "So part one is find a partner hmm where to go well I guess north couldn't hurt since well that's where we have to head anyway." Yuri muttered to himself hearing rustling nearby. "Well it seems its that time already." switching The Rejector back into spear form he was ready for a fight. Listening to the movement around him he guessed they were about five enemies beowolfs nothing to be too afraid of more since since he had fought them before. One beowolf jumped at him from behind and a height which just made it a large airborne target with no way to dodge nor change its course. The rest of the pack show themselves at the same time. Taking a step back and raising The Rejector into the air it hits the jumping beowolf which landed right onto it. "That's one." He muttered before using the rocket boosters on The Rejector to send him into the air. Taking the time too look around while he was slowly falling back down. "Well that way looks like north." He said getting his bearings.

He looked down to see three of the remaining four Beowolfs grouped together and used his rocket boosters to launch into the middle of them and right onto one quickly pulling his weapon out of it and keeping low sweeping in a arc sideways at their legs it hits one but the other jumps now was the fun part. stabbing the one that fell over from the leg swipe and impaling it he shifted his body weight into the air kicking the jumping one slightly more into the air at a straight ways up. Pushing the button to make the rockets reverse he activated them flying up to the beowolf he kicked moments ago and kicking them again until it was ever higher into the air and then he used it like a jumping platform to get above it aiming his spear so that it would not only hit the one in the air when it was thrown but the one at the remaining one at the bottom as well. Using the rocket booster once again the threw it with all his force hitting and impaling the airborne one and milliseconds later impaling the remaining one at the bottom as well. He them began to fall and in order to avoid real damage he used the two beowolfs as a landing platform before pulling his spear out of them.

"Well now back to the job at hand." Yuri said keeping The Rejector in its spear form for now anyway. He began to wonder in the direction he pinpointed as north before. After a little while of walking and finding no person to team up with he nearly gave up all hope until he saw someone who seemed alone but of cause without him really knowing anyone he didn't know her. Yuri walked over to her. "Well knowing my luck you already have someone to be partnered up with right?" Yuri asked knowing his luck her partner would be nearby and he would still have to wonder aimlessly to find one. "Anyway Yuri Kennomura at your service." Yuri said bowing some of his family etiquette seems to have stuck much to his dislike.

Colt was wandering on when he saw a dark shadow over in the sky. It was a bird but it had the features of a grimm so he started running after it. He went on for a bit until he heard the branches starting to creak and looked at the person. Oooooh im excited this could be my new partner he thought. He saw the serpent man and thought No no no anyone but him. He kept running from the man hoping he wouldn't pursue.

Leone felt quite confused at her earlier comment, as he still couldn't find a way to dislike the girl before him. In fact, she had just saved his life from.. whatever the hell that was. In fact, he wasn't sure he had ever seen something quite like it before. It was certainly a Grimm, judging by the mask, but it wasn't any type of Grimm there was. And the Grimm had never been documented to change throughout ALL of their history. He chuckled a little as she fell on top of him after shoving the Razortooth off him. He shrugged, getting to his feet. "No worries," he said quietly, still distracted by his confusion. As the beast began to regain its stance, he lunged forward, raking one blade across its front legs, as it roared in anger. That was possibly the strangest thing about the Grimm. They had never showed to feel pain, and this one didn't either, hobbling at him. As the beast was weakened, he jumped to the side, slashing out its back right leg, and then leaping over the creature, slicing out its other back leg. It simply settled onto the ground, bleeding heavily, unable to move much anymore. He had left it perfectly open for a killing blow from Jinie. Once she had finished, he looked up at her. "Have you ever seen a Grimm like this before?" he asked curiously.

As Redmond was walking through the forest, he happened to come across Schizo fighting a few grimm who gave the guy no end of trouble. Redmond was tempted to make a dynamic entry, but Schizo's animalistic stance deterred him. He didn't know what would happen if he decided to steal his kills, so he waited until Schizo left the scene of the battle to follow him. Redmond walked directly behind Schizo and said, "I think it would've been more awesome if you hadn't shot that boarbatusk and just walked away in the opposite direction. Cool guys don't look at explosions, y'know."

-----

Emil walked through the forest at a leisurely pace. She was in no hurry as she was listening carefully to her surroundings. She didn't want any grimm sneaking up on her, especially because of her aura. She didn't know if it would discourage grimm from attacking her, make her seem like them, or attract them.Until she knew for sure, she was at unease. It was then that she thought about what would happen if she came across one of her classmates. Since she had arrived at Beacon, most people were avoiding her because of her ominous aura. If she found someone, she would be forced onto their team. She wasn't sure if she wanted that; to force herself to be with someone if she made them feel uncomfortable. Still, she had to be in someone's group. There were no doubt many groups that are made up of people who don't get along at first. Perhaps this was a chance to get a few friends...

Leone seemed as confused as her at the opponent in front of them. She has not seen this Grimm anywhere, not even in the TV. Leone had charged in as soon as he regained his composure, slashing one of its legs. She followed his lead, punching the Grimm at the head to prevent it from attempting to run away or attack her partner. She managed to make it dizzy and upon Leone successfully rendering it incapable of movement, she took this opportunity to deliver the final blow, bringing both backwards before bashing its head in. The Grimm fell lifeless on the ground, indicating they had successfully managed to defeat it.

She let out a huff. "No." she simply answered. She observed the characteristics of the Razortooth. It looked like a tiger, except it was pitch black. How come she had never seen this type? Was it new or was there just no information recorded about it? She'll make sure to tell the headmistress about this. She used her semblance for a quick moment to check their surroundings. So far, nothing big to worry about that was near them. "Let's go." she said, eager to reach the destination mentioned to them. They still had to complete their team.

Schizo seemed to have been wondering aimlessly unsure of what direction he had to take to get where he needed to be "I really should have marked the direction I was going." He huffed at his utter lack of intelligence and direction, he was probably about to rage right about now but a voice appeared behind him, turning slowly he laid his eye on the familiar face. "R-" he tapped his head trying to push the name out of his head "Redmond, so I assume were partners now, and i'm an artist I must look at my work." He began to walk once again"So how's your day be going so far?"

The Snake

@cjpb

Laying across the wide branch Exsion sighed softly. He was rather unimpressed by the trial so far. All this time and he hadn't seen a single Grimm, much less anyone who even looked remotely like a possible partner. It was dull really, impossibly so. He supposed perhaps he should at least get moving. There was nothing left to see here after all. Or so he thought.

As he rose to stand on the branch he became aware of a sound like rapid footfall passing swiftly by him. Glancing down he caught a glimpse of another student, one he had seen last night actually, running past. Resting his hands on his hips Sio cocked his head to one side, sighing he shrugged.

"Anything is more entertaining than this..."

Lazily Sio pushed off the branch, lean form gliding easily from branch to branch. He was reasonably fast and quite flexible, the lean muscles in his body giving him quite the vast range with his jumps. Soon enough he had actually managed to get ahead of the male. Landing on a tree branch, Sio hooked his legs around the sturdy limb, leaning back to hang upside down just in the males path. As they made eye contact Sio grinned and waved.

"Hello there...partner... Sooo....what are we running from...? It's not a Grimm is it...? Please tell me it's a Grimm...? I need a new specimens to study after all.. I hope it's something big... Hehe...."

As Sio spoke the sharp screech of a Nevermore broke the air. Sio glanced up just in time to see the Grimm wheel overhead. It was of medium size for a Nevermore, but a perfect specimen none the less. Grinning Sio grabbed the bandages wrapped weapon from his back yanking the bandages loose to reveal the sleek metal shape of his gun, Phantom.

The Nevermore had spotted them and with a screech fired a barrage of sharp metal-like feathers. Laughing Sio spun the orb set into phantom the red fire crystals inside began in to glow and rotate. Narrowing his eyes Sio aimed and began firing. Phantom shot silently, bright red "bullets" spiraling skyward. Clashing with the feathers explosions of flame colored the sky.

The Swan

@Natevess

Odesse stood in the clearing for a moment, gaze sweeping about her as she tried to reorientate herself. The goal was to get to the North end of the forest; finding a partner was something that would happen in its own time. Nodding faintly to herself Odesse turned north, preparing to set off. Suddenly she froze her head canting to one side.

Faintly she heard the sound of rustling and the cracking of branches. Something was approaching and by the sound it was a large something. Running seemed like the most advisable course but before she could get going a hiss tore the air, a large tree falling as the black half a King Taijitu shot towards her.

Cursing under her breath Odesse rolled out of the way, drawing Crystal Lotus from her back as she did so. Loading the weapon with light dust her eyes began to glow as her semblance activated. Fanning out the blades a single on shot skyward, rising above the trees and bursting with light. The glare would stun the Taijitu and serve as a signal to anyone nearby. She just good it would be someone useful.

Fanning out her blades Odesse glared

at the Grimm a small grin tugging the corners of her lips upwards. Holding one fan out towards the stunned beast Odesse bowed briefly before straightening and launching herself at it.

Redmond put his arms behind his head in a relaxed fashon. "My day be going well." he said cheerfully, "Other than decapitating a tree, I haven't done any fighting yet. Either this is just dumb luck or the grimm are scared of me." Redmond stopped walking when he found a sapling sticking out of a sunny patch of ground. The sapling's shadow was pointing to his right. It was then that he remembered a simple trick that Kaito had used when a mesmer tried to get him lost in a deadly forest. "...Have we really been going south all this time?" he said just loud enough for Schizo to hear him.

Schizo was still really unaware of his position or the fact that he was going the wrong way, listening to what Redmond said about his day he realized that the forest was probably less dangerous if you just focused on the mission. Walking and observing the surrounding but nothing really helped with direction, just as he was about to ask Redmond spoke on there current direction. Replying with a bit of curiosity he said "Not sure to be quite honest, lost my path during my fight." he halted "If you know the way I be my guess."

@Thesmashbro

As the King Taijitu shot at Odesse she noticed that it was riddled with heavy steel bolts. They were bolts from Kurisu. Suddenly Kurisu shot out of the thick line of trees, separating his crossbow mid air into the two hooks. He landing on the Taijitu and buried his hooks in it. Just as quickly as they entered they were withdrawn and Odesse stunned the thing with a reflected light. Kurisu began slashing at the beast with rapid speed, however, he was eventually thrown off, due to the beast recovering. He landed by being smashed into a tree, injuring him. "Fuck!" Kurisu shouted as he stood up and locked his shoulder back into place. It was then that he noticed Odesse was there, "Oh.. hey, Odesse.." There wasn't much time to revel in the fact that they were now team mates, as the beast turned in their direction and began to roar at them, lunging once more...

@X3 Infernal Infinity

"You made it pretty angry..."

As she spoke she never slowed her movements, sighing softly as she dodged another powerful snap of the massive jaws backflipping to put some space between here and the beast. Just as she landed the other half for the King Taijitu appeared, heading straight for her at amazing speed. Cursing her luck Odesse did the last thing one would expect. She rushed the creature, eyes flashing crimson behind her mask.

As the white snake head opened it's mouth Odesse opened her wings. Using them to propel her forward and increase her speed. Simultaneous she clicked the two fans together all 12 blades fanning out. Passing Crystal Lotus along her wrists she switched out the light dust, instead opting for lightning.

Flying full tilt into the creatures mouth the female spun, whipping the fan about her. The razor sharp blades sliced through the hinges of the creatures jaws, causing it to screech in pain. Gritting her teeth Odesse released the blades her semblance instantly bringing them to spiral around her. Crackling with lightning the blades shot out in a ring, piercing the creatures pure and lower jaw and pinning the head to the ground. Stepping from the dead white halfs mouth Odesse called her blades back.

"You get the other half..."

"Thanks... I've been running this thing through the forest." Kurisu said, readying himself into a combat stance once more. Without warning, he shot forward with a near-superhuman long jump, and dug the two hooks into the front of the creature's head. He used the leverage to fling himself up, landing on the top of the beast once more. He had trouble keeping his balance, however, he did his best to dig both of the blades into the creatures rough hide once more, and began dragging them down the back of the beast, creating two large cuts down its back before being thrown off. This time, he stuck the landing. The creature rushed Kurisu down, however, this was exactly what he was hoping for. He thrusted both blades forward and embedded them in the top and bottom of the creature's jaw, his strength being the only things keeping him from being swallowed up. "Could use a little help here!!" He'd unwillingly pushed himself into a corner...

He smiled, as the Grimm blood began to evaporate off his blades. "Good idea," he said dully, his mind preoccupied with worry. What if this was a new species of grimm? If so, how many more new species would there be? He and Jinie had to tell the headmistress of this as soon as they returned. He began to follow Jinie as they moved through the forest. "You think there's more of those new kind of Grimm around?" he asked, his green eyes scanning the tree line warily, patient for any sign of another Razortooth bearing down on him. To his relief, he saw none. Admittedly, this worried him greatly. The other types of Grimm were predictable, and they had experience fighting them, but even the most experienced Huntsman would be confused when facing new kinds of Grimm. Atleast this one hadn't been too bad.

After the confrontation and battle of sorts, Sequoia merely continued on. She could summon her weapon quite quickly, which was usually the large hands, but transformation of her weapon took some time and effort. Sure, she could use her flying sickle machine and fly up and through the forest, but that seemed like cheating. She could use her beast part of her weapon to run through, but that would be noisy and destructive to any still and peaceful animal life. Plus, both attributes took up a lot of energy on her part. And she had to be ready for anything.

So, with a watchful eye, Sequoia began in another simple run. She was undoubtedly ahead of the rest of the initiates, and her animal instinct told her exactly where she was going. She smiled while continuing on. Eventually, the female Faunus arrived at what seemed to be a large cobblestone structure. Waist height pedestals stood stolid, many encircling the diameter of the inner section of the shrine-like place. Each piece of stone was artisan crafted, each individual section in a block shape, all different pieces of similar and perfect square block bits.

Along the ground was where moss and vines began to form, the dilapidated stone crumbling away where the vines forced their way up and out. The pedestals stood strong, however, and on top of each were a small object. That being seemingly what everyone, or every pair had to collect. The relics are here? Sequoia thought, slowly walking up to the large circular stone structure. She did so cautiously, to assure nothing would be after her and jeopardize her achieving the highest score. The Faunus was ready for anything that would come her way.

Amarantos said while turning Artemidoros into its rapier form and turned to quickly thrust into the skull cavity of an unfortunate Beowulf that had tried to sneak up on them.
"I heard signal academy is fun!" she says excitedly. "At my academy, I made this!" she said, holding up her bow, which hummed lightly with power. "It's really fun! It's like Boom boom boom!" she says with a laugh. "Do you like it?" she asked, curiously.

Amarantos nodded her head yes.

"At my academy, I made Artemidoros."

She said while holding said weapon before turning it into its bow form then back.

As the Nevermore came at Colt and Sio, Colt started running like a well... Colt. Two bad luck streaks in one day. He was partners with a serpent and was being attacked by a giant bird. What was even worse was he had a close range weapon so it would be useless without using his semblance but he didn't want to show his stuff yet so kept running.

(I think this song describes the feeling of Emil's aura well.)

As she was walking, Emil reached a part of the forest what wasn't quite as dense with trees. In this clearing, there was a broken-down structure made of stone. In this structure, next to some of the pedestals, there was a faunus girl. Seeing that there was no one else near the girl, Emil figured that, according to the headmistress, this was her new partner. However, the faunus girl seemed to be intent on taking one of the objects put on the pedestals. "Excuse me." Emil said. She waited for the faunus to acknowledge her before continuing. "The objective is to reach the northern edge of the forest. I don't think this has anything to do with our mission. If anything, it could be a trap."

-----

"Well," Redmond said to Schizo, "I figured that if the sun rose in the east, north could be determined by noting the position of the sun. Since the shadows are pointing that way..." Redmond stopped to gesture in the same direction as the shadow of the sapling before continuing. "...that means that north is this general direction." He then proceeded to walk the other way that they were walking before. He rested his sheathed sword on his shoulder so he could fend off any attacking grimm that tried to take them by surprise.

Sequoia's eyes scanned the area: the objects placed on the thin pedestals, the vines and moss curling up and out of the center of the large stone circle at her booted feet, the crumbling furthermost wall that still stood with craftsmanship. The Faunus was definitely enlightened by the structure. She wasn't too much of a fan of man-made structures, but this one—being overridden with green and yellow bits of foliage and eaten at by corrosive substances like age and constant weather conditions—was utterly fascinating to the girl. And she couldn't explain why.

Sequoia heard the approaching female immediately, and looked over through her peripheral vision as the individual walked up. The girl then intervened at Sequoia's marveling. With hands in black jacket pockets, the girl turned around and glanced at the initiate behind her with neutral crystal blue eyes, taking in her unique image. "Yes, I am well aware. I listened to the headmistress, which is why I had gotten so far too this particular point." she spoke with no emotion, yet a voice officious enough to be believable.

The human girl was shorter in height that that of the Faunus, and wore a unique set of apparel. One word would be sinister, and she may even had taken that as a complement, because her goal was obviously to be dark and different, in the least. She wore a black flowing cape, with red roping and twine crossed around her relatively flat chest. She had purple hair with thin red-tied double braids, in contrast to her thick bangs of the same violet hue. She wore lavender and black striped stockings, as well as thick shoes. Bits of her black cape were tipped in red and yellow, the golden bell around her neck only adding to to the overall sinister apparel.

"I was merely marveling at this age-bitten shrine. It is quite obvious that some sort of trap will come up if we disobey the goal we were given." Sequoia explained, briefly looking back at the dilapidated stone structure. She then thought for a moment, raising one hand to run thin and deft fingers through her hair, that had been tousled from the earlier launch into the forest. She quickly loosened a small knot in her straight ruby red hair. She took in a breath before speaking once again.

"She had also mentioned that the first individual we form eye contact with on this mission shall be our partner for the rest of our time here." That was when she made a more stern contact via eyesight and stepped over to the girl in purple and black. She stuck out a hand in hopes of her shaking it in a greeting. "Would you mind giving out your name to me, in hopes of us being partners?" Sequoia was one to do her own introductions last, her name only given out when someone could be trusted. She expected the girl to comply.

The Swan

Odesse spun her fans, the blade shimmering in the sunlight as se watched Kurisu attack the other head of the King Taijitu. The beast was a bit weakened since one half had been killed but it seemed even more enraged then before. As Kurisu called for her assistance Odesse nodded. It seemed the two had something in common; a desire to throw themselves directly at a challenge. Absently Odesse noted Kurisu's strength, both the male and the weapon, seeing as he was able to hold the creatures jaws open.

Nodding softly Odesse spread her wings to their full length. A strong flex of the appendages sent her skyward, allowing her to rise in the air until she was hovering just above the King Taijitu's black half. Spinning Crystal Lotus easily in hand she tossed the weapon skyward. The twelve blades separated, glowing a bright hue from the electric dust within them. A harsh crackling filled the air as the blades began to spin in a ring around her, electrify sparking from the individual blades surrounding them. The blades began circling faster, turning at a slant so that the points of all twelve blades met near the center of the circle. Lightning rippled across the spinning cone of blades before the lance like attack streaked downward.

"Thundering Lance..."

The blades slammed into the black half of the beast, slicing cleanly through its body just behind the head. Folding her wings Odesse landed lightly on the ground just behind Kurisu. A soft motion of her hand recalled the blades to her, the twelve sharp weapons circling around her before gathering in sets of six and hooking back onto her waist.

"Kurisu... It is...good...to see you... Both of you..."

@cjpb

The Serpent

Sio slipped from the tree branch, flipping over to land on his feet. Canting his head to one side he realized that Colt was still running. Frowning Sio uttered a soft sigh. For the love of Grimm he hoped that he hadn't been partnered with a coward, or worse, someone with no sense of adventure. That would be absolutely terrifying and dull.

The screech of the Nevermore as it swept low, claws slashing high tree branches and sending them raining down, reminded Sio of the more important matter at hand. He had a specimen to secure. A smile curved his lips as an idea formed in his mind. Darting forward he dodged falling branches, Sio catching up with the male. If there was one thing Sio could say about his new partner it was that he could run.

"Nice sword... I think you'll do... Yes I'm certain... Now then... Get to it..."

As Sio spoke he changed his crystal, replacing the red Burn crystal with a bright green Gale crystal. Grabbing the male around the waist Sio slid to a stop. Grinning he aimed Phantom at the ground at his feet and pulled the trigger. The concentrated bullet exploded into a tornado of wind, launching both skyward. Sio laughed with apparent glee as they cleared the tops of the trees before beginning to fall.
