Colt watched the man slid down from a tree branch. He watched as his new "partner" grabbed him and got on the Nevermore

"Phaze two...?" He was very confused but followed the weird man's instructions.

"The name is Colt." As the Nevermore fell he started running up and jumped knowing the only way to get a clean cut was under the armpit. He grabbed his sword leaving a dim black light made a clean cut threw most of the wing. The blood of the Nevermore started gushing a bit as he continued to slice the wing.

"Is this alright?" he asked curiously. Colt didn't feel like pissing off this man would be the best idea. After a bit he realized what he did. They were losing altitude quickly

"Any help here?" he asked with a worried tone. I may have to use my semblance he thought. The distance from the ground was lessening at least he could see what looked like where we were supposed to go.

"Anything at all..."

Jinie nodded but telling the headmistress could wait. For now, they would just continue with the current mission. She continued towards the direction where she had felt structures and some people, particularly two people, moving. She gestured towards Leone to follow her.

"Last time I checked the area, there aren't any Grimms to worry about but that doesn't mean there aren't any lurking around. Also, I sensed some kind of structures up ahead and two other people. Maybe we can complete the team." she told Leone midway their walk. She wasn't sure if he would get what she just said, since she had been with him the whole time. Maybe she should tell him about her semblance, if he hadn't figured it out yet.

They arrived at a small clearing, some ruins settled at the center of it. There were relics sitting on the pedestals that formed a circle around the ruins and she run up to them, checking them out. She really wanted to get one as a souvenir. She turned around to the two people she had sensed earlier and studied them. One was a faunus, the other, a hooded young girl.

"Hi!" she called out to them.

Leone looked over at her, nodding, a pretty good idea of her semblance in his head already. "Does you semblance have something to do with sight, Jinie?" he asked, looking over at the pink-haired girl curiously, as they continued to walk, before arriving in a rather small clearing, with stone ruins in the center. "Hello team!" he called, to the faunus girl and the hooded girl they saw there. He remembered what the headmaster had said, that teams would be formed when two partner groups met, and he hoped these two were good at what they do, otherwise he and Jinie would have some problems. "I'm Leone, and who are you guys?" he introduced, his eyes jumping from the smaller, dark-clothed human, to the tall red-haired faunus. Leone never had anything against Faunus, so the fact she was one didn't mean too much to him.

Emil was somewhat surprised at the faunus' behavior. Her aura usually drove people away, but this girl either didn't mind or hadn't noticed yet. Then again, since they had to be partners now, maybe the faunus was just trying to make the best of it. Emil pushed those thoughts aside as she shook the faunus' hand. "My name's Emil." she said before averting her eyes in embarrassment, "It's a strange name for someone like me, I know." It was at that moment two people called out to them. Even though she knew this would happen eventually, the encounter made her recess back into the folds of her cape. Hopefully they wouldn't think of her as a burden or find her aura unbearable.

"Aye... good to see you too.." Kurisu said, now breathing heavily. It'd taken almost everything he'd had not to lose his weapons, and his arms, to the King Taijitu. Kurisu eventually sheathed his two blades and stood up fully. He was honestly quite relieved he wasn't anywhere else when the two-headed snake decided to attack. "Glad that's over.. Thank you for the help.... We should probably get going to the shrine." Kurisu said after a long pause.

Rust continued his slow march towards the shrine leaving grimm dead along the way, however there bodies would just flake away and go into the sky like normal so there was no reason to mourn them. Rust could not help but notice he had no partner at all still which was weird, honestly he could care less if he was alone so it did not matter really to him. Rust came across a Ursa along his travels, dead of course so he knew he was on the right path. Seeing as how his armor was so heavy he dropped like a rock when launched so he was very far away so his trek had taken forever, he felt like he would leave last so he decided to put the massive sword on his back and begin to run.

Rust as fast as he could plowing his way through some grimm along the way made it to the shrine with already a couple of teams there, and not partners, literal teams, there seemed to be nothing there however, but Rust had no idea where to go from here, should he ignore the team and keep going. Yeah...probably.

"Haha, relax Colt and enjoy the ride..."

Sio laughed as the wind whipped his hair about him, tugging at the bandages hanging loosely from his hands. For someone on the back of a large Grimm that was quickly losing altitude Sio seemed to be enjoying himself quite a bit, a distinct difference to his new partner.

Taking off at a run Sio crossed the Nevermore's back grabbing Colt around the waist once again. As the Grimm began to break through the top of the trees Sio jumped, kicking off the beasts side and dropping through the air. Though they had managed to disembark from the Grimm the two were now making a direct drop to the ground from a considerable height. Taking into consideration the velocity at which they were falling if they ht the ground the highest probability was that they would die.

Grinning as they fell through agap the Nevermore's body had made in the canopy of the trees Sio aimed Phantom at the ground. Shooting once more another gale of wind rose to greet them, the updraft slowing them just enough to allow from him to grab hold a branch, effectively stopping their fall just feet from the ground. Letting go of the branch the two dropped the rest of the way to the ground, Sio placing Colt back on his feet and letting him go.

The Nevermore had landed not far away, broken trees and branches left in its wake. Still alive the creature was uttering a few short yet sharp screeches, it's massive head whipping about. Sio approached, holstering Phantom as he did so. Reaching into his jacket Sio pulled out his second "weapon", VenomFang.

The entirety of the device was nearly as long as Sio's forearm, a small portion of the needle visible as the mechanisms that operates the ballistic injector clicked in to place. Pulling a vial of glowing pale blue liquid from his pocket Sio stuck the needle through the wax stopper, pulling back on the plunger and filling VenomFang with the strange liquid.

"Now then... To secure this specimen... A lethal dose of my Frost serum should do the trick and preserve you quite nicely... I'm afraid I have no time to dissect you at the moment..."

Jumping up on to the Nevermore once again Sio ducked a swipe of its good wing, a sadistic smile crossing his lips. Crouching down Sio plunged the needle into the Nevermore's neck, a small explosion sounding as the ballistic injector drove the tip of the syringe through feather and muscle and pushed the serum into the creatures body. The Nevermore

uttered a short cry before going stiff,

a thin layer of frost covering its body.

Slipping from its back Sio reverently ran a hand along the Grimm's feathers. It truly was a beautiful specimen. Turning to gaze about him Sio spotted an opening in the trees. It seemed that they had landed just yards away from the intended target for the assignment.

"Oh look we made it... And in good time too..."

Odesse brushed a hand across her skirt, straightening out her uniform as the King Taijitu's body simply fell fell apart and floated away on the wind. Folding her wings away tightly she turned to face Kurisu. She had gotten quite lucky it seemed, being partnered with the one human at this school so far that she could stand. Had it been another person things might not have went so smoothly.

Odesse didn't hate humans of course, she simply disliked and did not trust them for the most part. But from talking to him the night before Odesse was certain that he was not like many of the humans she had met in her life. He was nice and didn't comment on what she was and that was enough for her.

"Our destination is a few more miles west of us... It should not take us to long... Provided we run into no more trouble..."

Odesse had glimpsed the clearing for the target destination when she went aerial for her last attack. It was not too far away and neither she nor Kurisu had any issue with their speed. They could make it there in good time if they went at a descent pace.

"Shall we go...?"

Sequoia smiled faintly as the other girl shook her hand. It was delightful to meet a human being—or what at least seemed mundane about this girl—actually be amicable and respectful towards that of a Faunus, especially one as obvious as herself. Because honestly, how exactly can one hide two foot tall stag antlers that shoot straight up? It was a little improbable to even try. She shook the girl's—Emil's—hand in a return greeting. "Nice to meet you, Emil. My own name is Sequoia, but please just call me Buck." She said with a kind smile.

"Oh and, I don't think your name is strange at all for you. It's just... Uncommon. For example, my full name is Sequoia N—" The deer Faunus was interrupted by a sudden "Hi!" in the distance. The sound came from a girl with red hair much like Sequoia's own, yet hers was much more curly and wavy. She wore practically all red as well, or maybe that was just the lighting. But one thing to notice was her relative lack of overall clothing. She wore a loose leather jacket with a tight white shirt on underneath, along with darker shorts that were definitely not modest. And more striped stockings.

Behind the girl came anther individual, presumably the other initiate's partner, which had happened to be a male. He wore a black jacket much like Sequoia's, as well as a plain pair of jeans. He wasn't decorated quite as intricately as his partner or Emil. The female Faunus me the new guy shared relatively the same style and fashion of clothing. Sequoia's crystal blue eyes fell on both of the new individuals, especially the male as he has referred to her and Emil as his new team. Oh, that's right. The other two people you meet are your permanent teams. Rather than speaking, the deer Faunus merely rose a hand in a soft wave at the others. Speaking up when they were not that physically close pertaining space would be rude to the environment.

Amarantos nodded her head yes.
"At my academy, I made Artemidoros."

She said while holding said weapon before turning it into its bow form then back.
"Oh cool! Yours can turn into a bow too!" Izzy shouted in excitement. "I made mine at an academy too!" she continued, practically bouncing up and down with glee at this point.

Schizo listened as Redmond gave an, in his opinion an impressive assessment of there location.

Schizo followed as Redmond turned around and walked in the correct direction, Schizo thought about the distance

and the time "You think we should speed up for a bit we could fall behind?"

@Thesmashbro

"Yeah, we probably should. Shrine can't be too far." It was as he said this that Kurisu had an epiphany. An idea, so wonderfully amazing that he just had to convey it. He did it in the most spectacular way he could think of. He turned toward Odesse, with an overly serious expression on his face. "RACE YOU!!" He shouted, as he took off towards the Shrine's location.

Colt liked adventure but this was a bit much. He almost pooped a little when sio got his waist and jumped off.

"I HOPE YOU HAVE A PLAN!!!" he yelled. He watched as Sio pulled out his gun and brought them to safety.

"Guess it was a good place to la.... ew..." he saw Sio stick a syringe in the bird.

"Nevermind that lets get going!" Colt went into a full on sprint up to where they needed to go.

"You really have no idea how to have a good time do you...?"

Shoving his hands in his pockets Sio took off after Colt. Catching up with his partner he completed the rather short run to the clearing. To his surprise it was a small old and dilapidated shrine. A trite image really though he supposed in some it would evoke a sense of majesty, nature reclaiming its own or some such thing.

Coming to a stop Sio realized that a few others had already gathered in the clearing. Absently he let his gaze sweep them all, pleased to find that for the most part they seemed intersting. Hanging back he leaned against a nearby tree just at the edge of the clearing where he could see and not be seen.

"Race...?"

Odesse canted her head to one side in a questioning manner, but before she had time to inquire as to the purpose of the race Kurisu took off towards the shrine. Chuckling softly Odesse shook her head. She might as well go along with it. After all there was no telling what trouble Kurisu could get into on his own.

Odesse took off, running after her partner. Soon enough she caught up with him, the wind carrying her hair out behind her. Dashing past him she laughed lightly. If they were going to race then she was determined to win.

"Try to keep up...."

The Serpent

Colt shuddered it was good to be around some.... other people per say. Unfortunately everyone was talking amongst themselves and the only person was..... Sio... He sighed but he needed to know his new teammate.

He stared at Sio constantly. Then he finally asked, "So where do you come from?"

Kurisu's expression turned sour once Odesse passed him. "Not on your life, Odesse." Kurisu mumbled to himself as he ran. He decided to activate his Semblance. As he activated it everything around him sort of "lit up" in an indescribable way. He didn't really feel any different other than the fact that he just found himself knowing new things about the environment. He continued to run through the forest after Odesse, using every twist and turn to his advantage, throwing and swinging himself from place to place, building up speed and momentum. Eventually, he caught up to Odesse, or was such a little distance behind her that it didn't make a difference. They were drawing ever closer to the shrine, both moving at rapid speeds..

"Hm.. No. My Semblance is more like a radar." she told her partner, trying her best to think of the best analogy for her semblance. She had to admit, it was really handy. It kept her aware of her surroundings plus, it's an efficient thing to have when they were going to make a plan.

Jinie left the pedestals she had been examining, her curiosity for it easily overcome by the excitement upon meeting the rest of her team. She approached both of them with a huge smile on her face. She studied them both. First the faunus, whose obvious animal features were her incredibly large antlers. Something like that was hard to hide. Somehow, Jinie saw a life of teasing and such just by the site of them. She then looked at the hooded fellow who was the faunus' partner. This one somehow had an ominous aura to her but since they were now teams, might as well get used to it.

She lowered a little to the height of the girl, trying to get a better look at her face. Her hood, however, was obstructing most of her view so she decided to just pet her head, hoping it would make up for making her uncomfortable with her actions.

"Oh yeah. I'm Jinie!" she said, introducing herself to them first.

It was official, Tethris was lost. After leaving everything behind. After the long train journey to Vale. All of it just to get to this point, and now Tet was completely lost. Sighing they rubbed the back of their head. They had no one to blame but themselves really. Things had started off as well as one could expect. Like all the others they had been launched into air over the woods, the place the headmistress had called the Emerald Forest.

The descent hadn't been to bad, dropping through the air with the wind tossing their hair had felt pretty good. Actually it had even been distracting. Tet had been enjoying the fall, looking out at the vast beautiful forest stretched out below them. Marveling at it all they had forgotten the most important part, they still had to land.

Too close to the breaking the canopy of the treetop to correct their self Tet glanced around. There was no one about, which bode well for them. Flipping in the air so that their feet were aimed towards the ground. Falling through the trees Tet crashed through the trees, breaking branches as they dropped. For anyone else the fall from such a height would have spelled death. But Tet was not anyone else.

Tet hit the ground with an audible crash, the sound of trees snapping and falling disturbing the quite of the woods. When the dis had finally settled Tet had climbed out of the large crater in the ground their landing had created. Brushing of their shorts and adjusting their gloves Tet had set off.

Now they were just wandering. Sighing softly Tet pulled back on the ring of heavy metal that attached the thick woven metal chord to Wolf's main portion. The strangled roar of the Ursa filled the air as the massive creature slammed its body into tree after tree trying to shake Tet off. Tet pulled the chord tighter around the Ursa's throat body shifting as they kept their balance.

Hearing voices just ahead Tet smiled. Perhaps they weren't so lost after all. Breaking from the trees Tet realized that they, and by association the Ursa, were now hurtling towards what appeared to be an entire suit of armor. It had to be another student. Releasing the anchoring device from their boots Tet kicked off of the Ursa's side.

Grabbing the ring with both hands Tet slid to a stop beside the male, yanking hard. Wolf whirred, the massive yoyo spinning at high speeds as it ripped its way along the Grimm's throat, simultaneously decapitating it and sending its body spiraling through the air as it fell apart.

Tet rose back to their normal stance, a flick of their wrist recalling Wolf to their hand. Clutching Wolf to their chest Tet approached the dog shrouded armor. At this range she was almost certain there was a human beneath the armor. Tentatively Tet waved a hand.

"You're my partner now correct...?"

"Hmm...? I am from Menagerie... You know of it...?"

A smile crossing his lips as he spoke. He loved his home country. It may have been small and rough but in a land where the majority of the population was made up of Faunus and infested with Grimm there was no shortage of interesting things to get into.

Sio was about to ask another question when a more interesting occurrence caught his eye. A small individual bursting into the clearing on the back of an Ursa. As if that wasn't enough the slew the beast with what appeared to be the use of a giant yoyo before going to talk to someone else.

As Sio's eyes landed on this other individual they widened slightly. An armor clad form shrouded by mist? There were plenty of interesting forms in the clearing of course but the armor clad individual was to much to resist. Sio's curiosity had been peaked.

Odesse was in the lead of their mad dash, her skirts blowing in the breeze. Glancing over her shoulder she realized that Kurisu had picked up speed and was rapidly gaining on her. Why she had ever thought this would be a simple foot race she did not know. But of he was going to use his Semblance to try to win Odesse had a few tricks of her own.

"Nice try..."

Not bothering to slow Odesse kept running, kicking of the ground as she did so. Jumping she grabbed a sturdy tree branch, using her momentum to swing herself up. No sooner had then she had gotten her feet on the branch she kicked off again, her wings opening. Odesse's glided for tree to tree, leaping off of branches and giving a flex of her wings to increase her speed.

Rust was just kinda watching the other teams from a far not really paying attention his surroundings, he watched as the first team was made, it was some kind of deer faunus or moose. A girl who seemed to be emanating some sort of sad vibe however Rust only felt it for a minute. And there other half, A boy who seemed pretty normal and a girl with some cool curly hair. As Rust was picking apart the other team and learning about them an Ursa had of course snuck up to try and off him. Rust was about to set his sword ablaze and go Ham but the beast was decapitated in the next second.

Now to Rust the person who saved him looked to him like a small girl so he was at first disturbed but he actually had no idea what gender or age the person was...well android but he had no idea they were an android. Rust looked at them and stared them down not really moving or anything other then to let go of his sword and put it back to his side "
S..o...it....seems..." Rust says, his voice was hard to hear and it was deep and raspy and sounded demonic from under the helmet, it would never be clear what he looked like till he finally decides to take it off

Tet's eyes widened slightly at the males voice. It was somewhat harsh but also rather husky in tone, perhaps due to the helmet that concealed his face from their sight. Still, Tet canted their head to one side a friendly smile on their face as they set Wolf Slasher down, leaning the weapon against their calf.

"I'm...Tet... Nice to...meet you..."

Much like Tet's appearance their voice gave no definition to what their gender was. Tet's voice was almost whisper soft but held a neutral pitch being neither light nor husky. The slow slightly halting manner in which they spoke an unfortunate effect of shyness.

Rust watched the other team converse again as the small, what he thought was a girl was setting their stuff down, Rust looked over the teams and was hoping not to get a bad half of the team, however he was not all for this person because they saved him and he would have rather taken the blow, he wanted to protect not be protected. Rust had a good feeling the team he would be put on would be a train wreck. So far the 3 girl and 1 guy seemed pretty good, there was 2 people there, probably partners off to the back seemingly conversing, he noticed one of there weapons being just a sword.

Rust looked back at the android as it spoke again to him, Rust more than likely towered over the android because he did to everyone else, even most faunuses which was odd hinting he could be a bull faunus however it was clear he was not going to really show anyone his face even though he was human. "
W..hat are..y...ou..." See now Rust was asking more about there gender and age what the android would probably tell him would break his brain.

Leone nodded over at Jinie with a smile and a shrug. "Oh. That makes sense!" he chuckled. "On the bright side, we can't get ambushed with you around, can we?" he said, before turning his attention back to the other two. A strange... aura seemed to eminate from the shorted, cloaked one, and he felt a strange urge to pull away from her. However, he continued to stand there. "Alrighty guys," he said, looking around before looking back at them. "Since we've got our team, we should probably start to make our way towards the Northern End. From the cliffs, I thought I could see some big stone structure over there, even though it looked kind of blurry," he stated, "Why not head there?" he suggested with a light shrug.

Gemini and Yui stopped in their tracks when they heard a voice. Since the two of them are the only ones there, it is only logical that it was them that the boy is talking about. If this had been Yui who's controlling the body, she would have been blushing and stuttering, but lucky for her, and not so lucky for the boy, she's not controlling the body.

Gemini smirked when he saw the kid. "Nope, we don't have a partner. Lucky you." She said with her usual haughty and proud voice. She approached the guy, looking him from head to toe. Unlike Yui's shy and reserved, often stumbling, gait, Gemini walks with proud and confident strides. Her posture almost perfect, her head held up high. "A good physique and a nice weapon, as long as you don't hold me back, I'm sure we'll get along." She said to him, looking him in the eyes. "My name is Gemini." She said, holding her hand out to him.

@Bills352

Yuri smiled she seemed to have good observation skills or she was just guessing but either way that was one thing over and done with he had a partner. "Well them if you think i'll be holding you back you must have some confidence in yourself." Yuri said before smirking and taking her hand. "I like that! oh and as I mentioned before the names Yuri Kennomura and its a pleasure to meet you Gemini hope we can get on well." Yuri said before kissing her hand. "Oh and please do tell me if I do anything strange I was brought up in a rather unique way." Yuri said being brought up by rich folk he was taught to greet people differently to most.

Yuri decided to get his mind back on track. "So now whats the plan?" Yuri asked he was just going to continue heading north until he found something or someone and since now he had a partner maybe she would have a clue what to do.

@CrimsonEclipse

When this guy, Yuri, kissed her hand, even Gemini blushed. Momentarily, she changed into Yui. It wasn't long, just a couple of seconds, but he was bound to notice it. "N-No problem. I-I'm sure you're not the only one to be raised differently." Gemini said, her voice stuttering a little. It was as if both Yui and Gemini are in control of the body, not the usual only one gets to control. But still, they knew that they would have to tell him later.

"
A-Anyway, that plan sounds good. That was our, I-I mean my plan even before you arrived. So I guess that's still our plan then, now let's go!" She said, running north even before Yuri had the chance to respond.
