Fandom RWBY: Bloody Evolution

Schizo directed his eye's towards the stage as a woman took the stage, he assumed this was there headmaster, she was rather blunt which was a good thing seeing as a fraction of the room just avoid possible death. He knew he wasn't invincible but he was quite sure that he would make it to graduation especially if he had a team to have his back. The headmaster finished her speech and everyone was directed into what would seem to be the cafeteria which was once again another display of the amazement of the school, he wasn't to use to being cramped with a lot of people like this but he kinda liked it. He took a seat against a wall and closed his eye, he felt no point in conversation seeing as he had four years to do it.

Colt looked up at the brown haired kid, closed his book and calmly said "I am Colt Paschar nice to meet you." He stood up to shake hands with Leone. I probably look like a cold-hearted person right now not exactly a good first impression thought Colt. Colt scratched his head. "I am surprised you weren't like the other kids that completely avoided me," he said.

Odesse was busily cleaning her blades, now past the oiling process she was checking the mechanisms that connected the blades into a fan and helped distribute the dust that would fill the glass chambers running the length of each blade. As she did so she became aware of the uncomfortable sensation of being watched. Setting the blade she was working on down on her lap she looked up surprised to find herself gazing at a rather disturbingly focused human male. What disturbed her was not so much the intensity of his focus but rather that it was aimed at her, or more accurately her weapon.

"They are called Crystal Lotus..."

Odesse had a naturally soft voice but even with all the outside noise she was unworried about being heard. After all the male was close enough. To some the fact that she had introduced her weapon first instead of herself might have seemed strange but among the Cirque it was a common thing to do. If nothing else Odesse was a creature of habit.

Kurisu was caught off guard by the person responding to him, to say the least. "Hmm, w-what? Oh. Sorry for staring. I was just... I was wondering, how do you actually fight effectively with Fans like those? I've never seen somebody do it and it seems really impractical." Kurisu nearly stumbled off of his little perch on the window, however he remained balanced. "Oh, and the name's Kurisu.." Deep down he still felt a bit embarrassed. Not for staring, no no, for being caught.

I probably look like a cold-hearted person right now not exactly a good first impression thought Colt. Colt scratched his head. "I am surprised you weren't like the other kids that completely avoided me," he said.
Leone grinned at the kid. "Nice to meet you Colt Paschar!" he replied, grabbing Colt's hand and shaking it firmly. "And no worries Colt! I just like talking to people," he said with a shrug. "So," he said, his eyes on Colt's sword. "What's it called?" he asked, taking a seat beside Colt. Leone had always had a fascination with weaponry, and this one looked interesting. Leone reached down, pulling his own weapons off his belt. He held each one in his hands, grinning. "These are Duplex Khopeshi," he said, as suddenly the blade extended into its full-form, the bronze-like metal glinting slightly. The blade folded again, and he put it back on his side.

Colt grabbed his weapon. "This is something I made that I infused that actually stood up to the tests i performed. I have yet to discover if it has any special abilities as I made this 2 months ago." It probably wasn't a good idea to say he could make weapons but he felt like he could trust this guy. "Your weapon's color scheme is a bit bright for my taste." he said looking at his own weapons with a dark auburn color with a black blade.

Redmond had put his comic away when he heard the footsteps on the stage. He wasn't sure why the people around him were cheering. What confused him even more was why the seemingly stoic principal paused her speech to allow the students to cheer. Perhaps she had a bit of an ego but tried not to show it. After the speech, Redmond walked with the other students to the cafeteria where the beds were laid out. Some people were changing into their bedclothes, but Redmond kept his clothes on. He was about to go back to reading his comic, but he spotted someone that looked familiar. The guy's clothing style and eyepatch made him look like one of the characters in his comic. He walked over to the guy and sat down a couple of feet away. "I didn't know we were allowed to cosplay." he said, "if I had known, I would've came here in a kimono."

"Hmm...? It is much simpler than it appears..."

Odesse clicked six of the blades together and gave a quick flick of her wrist, simultaneously fanning out the blades and spinning the entirety over. She was surprised by how nervous the male seemed though she sensed his embarrassment was less at her address and more at the fact that she had noticed him staring. Shutting the fan so the blades nearly overlaid with each other she set it on her lap.

"I am Odesse..."

The introduction was brief and even a bit curt, but she was by no means attempting to be rude. She was simply being herself. Turning her attention to the other six blades she quickly cleaned the gears and reconnected them, folding them as well. Placing them back in the case she began to check the vials of dust firmly anchored to the inside of the case.

"Nice to meetcha.." Kurisu said, "Also, did you make those yourself? As he said this Kurisu drew his own weapons, two red and silver blades with a long hook at the end of them. He decided it'd be best to polish them off as well, as he hadn't since he ran from Vacuo.

Schizo was in a between state he was sleep but just having all these people around him made it a little unsettling for him, he took the time to at least relax himself and think a bit. So far the time at Beacon had been great it had a certain atmosphere about it something that he really couldn't describe but he enjoyed. He took a deep breath then exhaled trying to not feel so tense, assuming that there probably will be the feeling for the majority of the year. He heard a voice as he thought, it was most likely directed at him seeing as his attire was a bit far fetched, he chuckled and turned to the boy "Well to be honest this is my usual attire, I'm Schizo and I wish you would have warn the kimono" he spoke a bit embarrassed but you could tell he was comfortable even though he probably was a weirdo and other people eye's.

Leone nodded, interested. "Oh, cool." he said, continuing to nod. He did think that it was a bit curious that the guy who made the weapon didn't even know what it did. Leone didn't even make these weapons, and he knew literally everything they did, which wasn't really that much if you thought about it. He looked down at his weapons. "A bit bright?" heasked, before realizing, that it was rather true. Especilly the blades, they were quite bright, compared to the chunk of black metal in the other boy's arms. "Well, I gotta go! I'd like to be fully rested for tomorrow. I've got a feeling our new Headmaster is going to be quite.... direct with our first day," he joked, getting to his feet, as he headed back to his own sleeping bag.

"Yes... Every member of the Cirque is required to forge their own weapon..."

As she spoke she quickly rearranged her dust vials, glancing up as the male took out his own weapons. They were quite interesting in appearance and by the look of them they had far more than one use. Shutting the silver case she moved it to her side. Reaching up she absently brushed a lock of dingy blonde hair back from her face.

"Your weapon... Does it have a name...?"

Her tone indicated genuine curiousity as she inquired about his weapons. Odesse liked to know the names and uses of people's weapons. In a way she felt that more could be learned about a person from the weapon they wielded than anything else. A weapon was like a partner and more often than not reflected the traits of its wielder. Warriors were closer to their weapons than anything or anyone else, a lesson her father had instilled in her early in life.

"Your usual attire?" Redmond said in a confused tone before reaching into his bag and taking out one of his comics. He flipped through the pages before flipping it so it would face Schizo. "So you're not trying to look like this guy?" He said as he pointed at one of the characters. The character had an eyepatch, spiky hair, and attire that, while not looking exactly like Schizo's, looked like it was around the same time period. In the comic, the guy with the eyepatch was cutting down an army of around 50 swordsmen with a single swing of his halberd. "Admittedly, your weapon looks nothing like his."

"Wha- Oh. Nah. I've never really been into that kind of thing," Kurisu said, feeling a bit more humble than usual, "Just seems kinda superficial." He then decided to put it together. He pressed a trigger on each individual blade, and the entire blade swung 90 degrees so they were both facing outward. He then removed a small black string from his wrist and wrapped it around 3 pegs on the now connected blades, forming a Crossbow. "This is what it combines into. Not really the best for ranged combat since we have weapons like guns, but hey, I have a soft spot for old weapons."

"It suits you..."

Odesse watched, head canted to one side as the male swiftly shifted the blades to form the crossbow. It was an old form of weapon indeed but as she had said it seemed well suited to the male, as if it belonged no where else. Nodding to herself the female seemed to have reach some sort of decision.

"I think every weapon deserves a name... It is your partner and when you die in a way so does your weapon... No one deserves to die nameless..."

As she spoke her gaze went out the window, looking out at the campus dim except for where bright lights illuminated the paths. In Menagerie there were many graves, blank and nameless left to be forgotten. It was not a fate that she favored but one she did not worry about herself. Had she died in Menagerie she would have been buried alongside her weapon and her grave marked with both names. Pulling her legs up to her chest she wrapped her arms around them, resting her cheek against her arm as she glanced at the male. The action of leaning forward exposed the small empty space between the back of her uniform and collar offering the faintest glimpse of white feathers clustered tightly between her shoulder blades.

"Kurisu... A suitable name for weapon and wielder alike I think..."

Colt smiled and watched Leone walk away. I hope I get someone like him. He looked around to see some people staring amazed at Leone for having the guts to talk to him. He saw a lot less chatter among everyone and saw most were asleep. He blew out the candle next to him and went to sleep.

"Oh? You think so?" Kurisu then puffed out his chest and put on a tone of false narcisism, "A name such as mine suits such a weapon, doesn't it? Haha! Really though. That sounds good actually. Has a sort of ring too it.." It was then that Kurisu noticed the feathers on her back. She was some kind of Faunus. He decided it would be best not to point it out. Faunus' had a hard time as it is. "Kurisu it is, then..." It was then that Kurisu turned and looked out, realizing it was getting late. Whatever. First conversation since arriving at Beacon. Why not make it last?

Schizo waited a moment as the boy flipped through the comic once he reached the page he turned it so that Schizo could see it, Schizo observed the character and he could clearly see that he did appear to look like him. Schizo grinned "I see the resemblance but nope I just have always dressed like a comic book character" he felt a rush of confidence hit him as he thought about maybe the comic was about him instead of him being the cosplayer. Thinking out loud he said "Wow they made a comic book about me, huh" he said arrogantly.

@Thesmashbro

"I am glad then..."

A small smile curved her lips as she gazed about the cafeteria. Students were finally beginning to fall asleep, blowing out their candles and slowly sinking the large room in to darkness. She supposed many were intent on getting rested for whatever trail their first day at Beacon would bring. The prospect alone was enough to keep Odesse awake, not that she slept much anyway and especially not in so crowded an area. Of course that did not mean that her current companion was of a like mindset.

"If you wish to rest do not let me keep you... I don't sleep as long as most and I do not want to inconvenience you..."

"It's fine, it's fine. I've always been more of a night person anyways.. Besides, who could sleep over the fact that they just got accepted into Beacon Academy, one of the most prestigious Huntsman Academies in the world? I mean, ehm, other than them.." Kurisu said, gesturing towards the group of sleeping students.

Redmond briefly put the comic down as he looked at Schizo with a deadpan look on his face. "Actually, that's one of the early villains." he said as he flipped through the comic again. He showed Schizo another page, this time of a man who had long, smooth hair. The man wore a simple brown-and-white kimono with one sleeve torn off. His weapon of choice was a katana. "This is the hero. He travels the world in search of people in need and tries to restore the world from the devastation of the previous war." Redmond shot another deadpan glare at Schizo. "You obviously look nothing like him."

Schizo thoughts wandered a cross his eye, Schizo was soon cut off by the boy, apparently the guy was not the hero, this did not really matter in his eye's but he would rather not say that. Schizo gave a sigh as he looked at the next few pages "I see I do not...wait didn't you say you would have worn your kimono I assume you want to be this guy and in the right context i'm your enemy" he squint his eye. He un-squints "Nah i'm kidding you seem like a cool guy I don't think I got your name."

"True enough... I can't help but wonder what it will be like... We did not have an academy for training hunters in Menagerie..."

Odesse glanced at the few others like them who were awake. Leaning back against the cool glass of the window she plucked at the ribbon hanging around her neck. The gleaming azure pin shimmered slightly in the light. It was always her habit to absently play with the pendant since it had been the last gift she had gotten from her father. It some small part it was for him that she had decided to become a huntress.

"So tell me... What do you think the headmistress has in store for us...?"

"To be completely honest, I don't know.. Hopefully it's nothing to insane.." Kurisu said, only half joking..

Redmond stared awkwardly for a second after Schizo implied that they would be enemies if they were their respective characters in the comic. "No, no, no. That's not what I'm trying to say." he said in almost a panic, "Besides, this is the wrong context." He sighed in relief when Schizo said that he was joking. Redmond then stood up and reached his hand down to Schizo, saying, "My name is Redmond Clancy. What's yours?"
