All the Regult style pods look to be under 100 MDC left, and the Glaug Pod is maybe down 50. They are all spread out over 100 feet apart, with the Recon pod and the Glaug in the center, with three Regults on either side.

They are 100 feet apart I saw, we'd only be able to focus down a few before the fight really starts. Probably not wise to initiate conflict with an unknown number of them potentially available to answer a call for backup.

The Glaug and the Recon Pod will be our primary targets. The others will be taken out after.

No worries!

Are any of them close together say 15 feet or less apart (for missiles) or 50 feet or less (for tank rounds)?

All of them are damaged, but are some worse off than others?
I think Third Heavy single handedly scared them away from that formation.

With our guns as powerful as they are, I think that we can try tagging separate targets.

Last I heard, there were no Robotech weapons that overpenetrated like that (though if any could, I'd bet on the Spartas's APFSDS round). That's Psychie's call, I think.

At the moment, you are in the middle of moderately heavy jungle that reduces your visual range to less than one hundred feet, about 5 miles out from the ruined ship.

That's well within their communications range (unless... well, by now you know my GM-related disclaimer). =)

See what I get for not paying attention? I miss important stuff like that :p or read it and forget it, like usual.

And yup, I kind of figured they would be.

Oh! Do they have a rough map of the area of the crash site? Psychie Psychie If so or if not, what do they know about the terrain of the region?

Maybe there is a river or mountain that would be harder for us to travel, but easier for us to sneak in.

Re: Gabriela's offer. Friends, I don't mind sitting this one out for the reasons Gabi mentioned. I'll have fun just reading your posts. I really think it's better that you guys go in with Neo instead of Gabi if Third Heavy Recon goes in on foot (instead of the token NPC playing watchdog for the mecha).

I just want to clarify. I was not suggesting going in on foot to be a good idea. Quite the opposite. It's way too hazardous.

Our mission isn't to infiltrate the depths, it's to establish there is an active presence in the area.

What I actually expect us to do is hail command, let em know we spotted contacts and to prepare for conflict. We can then stir up the hive and go in with reinforcements to end this once and for all.

The question Marlon raised is valid though. This smells like a setup to get us to reveal ourselves. We could paint the targets, have them bombarded, and wait to see what happens in the surroundings.

Your small drone will not have the range to be able to get that far. You'll need to either get closer, or use a larger one.

Gabi is using her larger drone ("Dragonfly"). Still, at that range, can it even see the crash point from where we're at with the jungle in the way?

In order to do so, you'll have to get some altitude. The wreckage of the destroyer is still very visible after the various fires and artillery/bomb strikes on it not all that long ago.
