It head a load of rules for making mutant animals of all sorts as player characters.

I remember when that came out, well before the cartoon tv series was created.

I read the comics as a kid. Ah nostalgia.

Palladium as a dice game has its...quirks but the man does it scratch the itch for me.

Yung Huo Jen is basically Xianghua's Chinese gymnastic single-sword system from the Soul Calibur series. In my head, Chan-Chan thinks Xianghua is cute too! Perhaps some of our characters play pre-Rifts videos games together? =)

I have noticed that this is when you guys are on the most, now and for the next few hours. this is normally when I sleep, but i get to start shifting my schedual in a week, so I'll hopefuly be more in sync with yall. anyway, goodnight :)

I am usually asleep by now but have to stay up a little bit tonight. So here I am.

Well, if we are going Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, then I would be remiss if I did not put this performance forward. I would like for Chan-Chan to eventually cast her spells and perform her swordplay with this level of grace, control, and flow. =)

My bedtime is in about an hour. If you've ever seen me post later, that's me behaving badly and probably hating life in the morning.

Ok, I think I am going to go with a Demi-God Ley Line Walker. The character will be a child of the Babylonian God of Magic, Enki. Of whom in his entry in the Pantheons of the Megaverse book (p. 42) had actually visited Tolkeen in disguise. My character was conceived when he had a relationship with a woman there. Enki of course had since left as Gods do. My character is going to be born and raised in Tolkeen and have an obvious leaning towards magic.

I am still working on details to their backstory and who they will be but that is my concept going forward.
Eonivar Eonivar Cool idea! Enki! Marduk's dad! I don't think you could have gone with a nicer guy among the Babylonians.

I do have one question to Pips - what does this mean for our party? A demigod is (and I feel definitely should be) a potential game-changer in any campaign involving Earth and humankind. Does this mean we might go up against evil beings who have it out for Marduk's dad (like, say, Tiamat's people)? I imagine any such situation would be whole new ballgame when compared to the Coalition States. I don't mean to "derail" the campaign by asking - but... the guy's dad is Enki! Wow! =)

Epiphany Epiphany if you have your dice handy? Could I get rolls for:

8D6
8D4
2d6
1d6 and
4d4, please?
(2nd-5th experience level P.P.E. and I.S.P., Gymnastics's S.D.C., and Running's S.D.C. and Speed.)

Also, I may have missed this (it's been a day in Real Life) - do Mega-damage creatures add S.D.C. from Skills to their M.D.C.?

I'm a night owl, working until 4:15 in the morning for most of my week. Keeps my up late even on off days.

I have played it that they do not, but everyone has their own system.

Eh, you're all super-powered monsters anyway. What's one more?

Meanwhile, there's squishy little me who has a goodly number of state secrets and will die if any of you stratch me without armor, but on the other hand...1685078381476.png

Sherwood Sherwood Ah, Bud? I mean this in the friendliest way, I swearz! =) =) =)

Not only do you play it that way, but you have done so; for all three of my characters in your Rifts games here on RP Nation.

The first was Gradicus the Red Edge, my True Atlantean Undead Slayer of five years in your game (whom you clearly OKed, added such bonuses to his own M.D.C..) Same goes for Snowfall 1.0 back in 2019 and today's Snowfall 2.0 made back on May 3rd.

You're the one that rolled my dice for those bonuses, Bud! =)

(From Math behind the Attributes)
Gradicus the Red Edge
M.D.C.: 327 (+70 Dice and Undead Slayer) (+10 Undead Slayer) (+10 Boxing) (+9 Gymnastics) (132 from Tattoos, 11 [male] x 13 tattoos [beyond the first 6]) (+21 for every level after 1st) (+ Tumbling)

Snowfall 1.0.
M.D.C.: 275/275 (+68 8th Level Voyager M.D.) (+22 for level advancement) (110 from Tattoos; 11 per tattoo after the 6th Tattoo) (42 from Physical skills - see note in Combat Math)

And Snowfall 2.0.

Kitsune are Mega-damage creatures in Rifts. When in physical forms, convert S.D.C. to M.D.C. and double it. (See Rifter #3, p. 45)
Hit Points: None. M.D.C. creature per Rifter #3, p. 45)
S.D.C.. (Fox form): 88 (+8 Kitsune) (+18 O.C.C.) (+20 Dam Sum Sing) (+15 Skills) (+10 Te) (+17 Wrestling)
S.D.C. (Human and Kitsune forms): 100 (+20 Kitsune) (+18 O.C.C.) (+20 Dam Sum Sing) (+15 Skills) (+10 Te) (+17 Wrestling)
M.D.C.: (Fox form): 176. (Human and Kitsune forms): 200

Here's a quote from you back then:
Note from Sherwood regarding adding S.D.C. bonuses from Physical skills - "I believe that according to the strict letter of the rules that the answer would be 'no', but the amount of SDC/MDC that we are dealing with is so small I will go ahead and allow you to get the effects of the MDC from the various physical skills."

One of the reasons I allowed it in my Rifts tabletop games is because I felt it reflected the hard work and training of the character (compared to those who didn't train). Were I running Rifts, I would certainly use it today because I feel it has worked so well in your past games (all of which were and are a blast)! =)

Honor and fun,
Detail-oriented Dann =)

P.S. Hey! Is this the part where Psychie Psychie comes in and accuses you and me of being old men again? Heh! =)

Lol you got me there. I had forgotten about that, being the old man I am.

Don't give Psychie any ammunition! Our favorite Muppet doesn't need any - and she's been getting better at the puns! Eon! Alex! Esby! Never underestimate Psychie! You don't know what you're in for if you do!

I mean, look what she did to this cute pupper!

Hah! You can't fool us! You're super-monstered, er, super-squishy, uh, super anyway! It's just... all in your character's head! Get it? Psychic? In your head? 8D

True story: A great old guy I know with a terrific sense of humor I know offered some sage advice:

"Hey! When you get old like me, you better be careful! Memory is the second thing you lose."

"Oh? What the first?"

He paused in thought and then suddenly exclaimed, "I forgot!!"

that’s why I made my dumbass immune to their own dumbassititus, which is the number one cause of death for adventurers in any setting or game.

They uhhhh… aren’t immune to the psychic stuff though. You could kill them with your brain. Heck, their own brain is probably going to explode at some point anyway.

Wait- how the heck are they supposed to get top surgery if they can’t be cut? Shit, I didn’t think this through, did I.

You just need a Mega Damage Surgeon. Or magic if you're not determined that the surgery is the old fashioned mechanical kind.

All I can think of now is the immage of Erin Tarn in a hospital waiting room. A doctor enters, looking mostly confused.
“I’m sorry Ms. Tarn, but ___’s surgery was a failure.”

Tarn immediately looks worried, only for the doctor to pull several broken surgical knives out of his pockets.

And now I can’t stop laughing. It’s not even that funny.

Yeah, I guess magic would be the way to go for this.

From my point of view, the intrinsic antagonism within/between pantheons is a multiverse spanning affair but Rifts Earth is still only one planet among many...and the amount of attention Eonivar's character will receive probably depends on their backstory. There's the potential for Tiamat's people turning up, sure. But remember, from Eonivar's character's perspective, they've already shown up. They lived through those encounters (and Eonivar's welcome to season a few such in the last eight years of the Future That Was if that's fun or interesting for them).

Of course, if/when your characters starting changing the future, it's possible that may change future events like when/if supernatural opposition turns up. ;)
