They do have some drawbacks. If you can't get cyber/bio-eyes, you cannot read since you are blind, but on the flipside, you don't suffer any drawbacks from total darkness. Also, if it is ever discovered that you are one of the blind women, it might get ugly with people assuming the worst about you.

Very true!

Psychie Psychie Hand to hand, these Altara Warriors are hell on (w)heels! I'd forgotten they receive 6 Attacks per Round regardless of their hand to hand training. Wow! Their Attributes are definitely above-average, but not crazy and into the above-30s. They don't have supernatural strength. There's that talisman that provides 100 M.D. protection 3/day for 10 minutes at a time (did we ever use the duration when we had those in Sherwood's game?).

Hmm. I've never PCed a blind person before. Cyber-optics are completely out of the question because I don't want the P.P.E./I.S.P. nerf, but bio-eyes? I don't think I even know how those function or what properties they contain! Different types of vision perhaps?

They receive 3d6x10 I.S.P. and a handful of non-Super psychic powers (sixth sense, presence sense, empathy, sense magic, sense evil, object read, clairvoyance, and mind block).

Wow. This combination would make one heck of an Undead Hunter, wouldn't it? All I'm missing is the holy element in her life.

Lots of cool advantages to them, that's for sure. But the question is, is this a RCC you'd be willing to tap into?

Ahh... I think so!

Let me ask before I go all in, though - what are the chances she could get her sight back? Will bio-eyes work? Or normal eyes? Perhaps her holy link with the beyond restored her sight so she could truly be free of the Splugorth and literally see a new way of living, or perhaps it's a pipe-dream to even think it possible.

I might let you get bio-eyes, but they won't be cheap. Perhaps you can find some high-paying work to afford them?

Looking at the Bionics Sourcebook, bio eyes are not all that expensive (around 20,000-40,000 for a pair), but they are hard to come by. But a large nation like the New German Republic would have the resources to make it possible to get the replacement eyes you want.

Psychie Psychie Sounds like a goal to me! 8D

The only important matter I can think of next is the holy side of things. Going with Sherwood's idea of having a holy force being the cause of her freedom, I would like for that relationship to mean something. Remember how Dreamy would invoke Desna's name? Pray to her and the like? Something like that. That close and dear. To have a something, a someone that guides her and plays a real part in her life.

Would that be all right?

Absolutely. All you need to do then is determine which divinity crossed your path to inspire you to leave the Splurgoth and strike out on your own.

Terrific! I'll think hard on it. That and a martial art system that suits her. =)

Whew! Choices, choices. Thanks, Psychie, Sherwood, and Eon! I appreciate your ideas. =)

Who's next up for ideas?

Psychie Psychie Please roll your dice for me when it's convenient for you? (World Book 2: Atlantis, page 50.)

I appreciate your suggestions. I guess I want to lean towards more of a "gun" guy than someone with lots of individual spell and psionics to manage and yet be fun and unique to RP with the rest of the group. We have lots of melee and magic and such...so maybe having a good sniper or heavy weapons specialist or special forces type would fit. Yet, to fight vampires you need a measure of magic/psionic resistance, etc...

That is kind of why I liked the Momano concept...particularly with the fairly simple Nega Psychic...but the Momano's implants and skills and my crappy attribute rolls were not even close to what the other characters seemed to have. And the writers seemed to want to Nerf the Momano into the ground. It is interesting that with the Savage World Conversion of Rifts one of the OCCs brought over was the Momano Headhunter, and if I recall correctly they improved it, but that is immaterial to this conversation.

So I am looking through the OCCs again, looking for something fun.

Are we going to be using Action Points in this game?

Also, if possible, I'd like to have a Mountaineer ATV from the core book, pg 266 as my vehicle of choice. It can seat five with ease and has room for a variety of gear in it. Would that be ok for a team ride?

Yes, we'll use Action Points. I'll update the Character thread to reflect that.

That ATV is entirely acceptable. Yes, you can have one.

Six rolls of 1d6 and two rolls of 2d6.

1d6
5, 2, 8, 4, 3, 4

2d6
9 and 7

Let me know what other rolls you need and I'll take care of it.
(Please pardon any typing/grammar errors. I'm doing this from my phone.)

Psychie Psychie Thanks! =) I like how you do our Attribute rolls. It allows us to make the characters we love!

I will need S.D.C. rolls and more next, but let me select skills and produce the numbers for you all at once?

I'm still thinking of a martial arts system, but I expect it will be weapon-based and some way or another.

Dreamy is an Altara Warrior who has been cloned many times and has therefore has lived many lives. Each life except for the first begins and ends with her being a plaything, a killer, a gladiator, a huntress, and a destroyer.

She clung to her distant memories of what she and her people were before the Splugorth conquered her race, and she secretly begged for freedom from her lives of wretchedness and slavery.

It was Owl who freed her. Owl the hunter, Owl the wise, Owl who soars swiftly among the trees and above the cares of the world.

This revered Native American totem was a distant yet persistent guide who served as her eyes and helped her escape Atlantis. From Atlantis, she made it to Florida and wound up with the remnants of the Seminole tribe.

At Owl's behest, the Seminoles took her in and treated her. It was the tribe that brought her back to who she was after her race had been overcome. It was because of their love, their persistence, their magic, herbs, and their sole desire to see the Altaran freed of her soul-thick chains that changed Dreamy's life forever.

The Seminoles - the Unconqueref did this because it was the good and right thing to do, the right way to balance the universe, and it was a thumb in the eye to the slavers.

Now, no longer a slave to anyone or anything, Dreamy is back to being who she was long long ago.

But Owl had plans for her. There were Undead threatening to try and Owl found Undead Hunter mentors who, while old and soon to die, were willing to pass on their wisdom and ways so that the battle against the undead would continue on.

With the help of the Seminole tribe and the Undead Hunters, Dreamy helped in destroying the threat to the people. However, she learned that there were more undead and un greater numbers in a far-off human realm called Germany. Two of the Undead Hunters were German. They told her this. When she agreed to find a way there, they raised their cold beers high and taught her the Euro language (beginning with "Prost!" =)).

They also taught her that the technology existed to restore her eyesight. But in Europe, not in Florida.

Dreamy's eternal gratitude and admiration for the Seminoles, the Undead Hunters, knows no end. But they must stay here in florida.

Dreamy will only go with one other and that is Owl. Dear, sacred owl with whom she has forged a bond. Owl is a hunter and so too is Dreamy.

Dreamy the Undead Hunter prepares herself for adventures into many unknowns waiting for her across the Atlantic for the betterment of innocents everywhere.

I like the background. It works for me, and when you have the skill list ready, let me know how many dice for Hit Points/SDC/ISP/PPE and stuff you need.

Great! I had fun making it. =)

Now to find a martial art system that fits well-enough. Is it me or is Ninjitsu the only system out there that includes Archery? Archery in a system vs. undead would rock! Rawr! (I don't have my books in front of me; I want to say Zanji does too, but I don't know for certain). *continues searching*

Here is a real off-the-wall question for you; what power system does the ATV have? It can come with battery, gasoline, or nuclear. The first two give the Mountaineer a 600 mile range before needing to refuel/recharge, and I doubt that I'll have the nuke one, but one can hope.

I'll give you a battery powered one, and I'll even toss in a solar powered re-charger for you. Twelve hours of recharge time will give you full batteries.
